Dragon Hills 2 for Negative User Reviews

No level 7 boss???Confused. I'm on boss 7 and there is no boss? It does the boss title sequence and then it's just and unlimited free runner basically. Anyone else having that problem. Besides that very fun game will give 5 stars when fixed..Version: 1.0.0

Needs Works - Still prefer the first gameI have played this game through now twice. I like the new (variety of) worlds. Guns are cool (swords were better), GodzillaMech is fun, bosses are the best change. This game is a grind at first but becomes more enjoyable after you get the big’uns later on. Kinda wish some of the old mechanics were still in play, like playing till you die versus level to level - which is annoying. Rewards are more difficult to grab in this game, and you can’t use the bottom in this game to let them catch up to you. I could be wrong but the old game used to have more digging room, and it was easier to get to the higher ground in the older game. I like that the acid pits are hard but some are down right unavoidable, which is kind of annoying, if the bridge is out before you get there no level of skill is going to keep you from losing life. Frankly I like it as a time killer, it’s a mindless tap game, but I will probably not continue buying these titles..Version: 1.1.2

First one was so much betterInstantly bought this game because the first one was amazing. Now the dragon slides super slow, you can't utilise the object to destroy things, etc. maybe this game was Made to be played differently to the first one, but I much prefer the first one. This one is sluggish, lacks momentum and tactics. Sorry :-(.Version: 1.0.0

Glitches everywhereSeriously, did no one play test this?.Version: 1.1.2

FrustratingIt has a lot of what made the first game fun, but with some very frustrating changes: -Expect a LOT of grinding before you can survive fights. -Hitboxes are not clear. It may look like you didn't touch the lake of acid, but you die instantly anyway. -Bosses take forever to die. -You will get hit multiple times in a row from the same obstacle, even dying instantly at full health. This game feels like it's designed to massively frustrate you into paying to get ahead...but there is no pay-to-win option. Yet..Version: 1.0.0

Potential for moreIt has the potential to be as good or better then the first, but the boss fights are slow and take too long that it really degrades the experience..Version: 1.0.1

BummerI played the first Dragon Hills and loved every hour I sunk into it which is why I’m so bummed the the sequel isn’t that good. I feel like the game could be good if the level design was better. There are so many times where your forced to lose half your health slamming into some form of acid or a homing missile that won’t go away no matter how long you stay under ground. Also there is no ramp up in difficulty the longer you survive a stage which means your reaching the boss with barely any health every time. On top of that it’s a grind to earn money for upgrades and stuff when the levels aren’t much fun to replay. However it is very pretty and the presentation of everything is polished..Version: 1.1.1

Fun game but power ups are awfulBought this since I placed the old one and loved it. My biggest disappointment is the power ups always seem to be slightly out of reach so I’m often skipping them. Compared to the other one , that’s my biggest disappointment with the game..Version: 1.1.2

DisappointingNot enough substance to validate the price. It does get boring very quickly and it’s very limited in what it had to offer. This should be a free to play game.Version: 1.0.1

Hard, frustrating, but funYes, this is a fun game to play. Nice graphics. However, the game is a little too difficult to the extent that it makes you quit playing out of frustration. And it takes quite a while to gain coins to buy upgrades that seem to have little to no effect on game play. Please add in app purchases so that we can buy coins..Version: 1.0.0

TerribleI have already wrote an extensive review but it would not post so summarized. The game is a joke compared to the first there are less dragons graphics are worse the bosses are just buffed every level. I had to confirm that this game was made after the first. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING THIS ATROCITY OF A GAME..Version: 1.0.1

MehFun for like 20 mins until you realize every level is the same rinse and repeat formula..Version: 1.1.1

Class action lawsuit for xxx redirecting childrenThis game had a button in purchases under subscribe that allows minors to access xxx porn sites. Thanks for introducing my 7yo to porn..Version: 1.1.1

You die immediatelyThis is one of those games where you always die too quickly. No fun. Can’t even get anywhere without dying..Version: 1.1.2

Sh*t gameDO NOT BUY THIS GAME! I really don’t get why you have to pay for it, it should be free. There’s only 3 choices of “dragons” there’s so many acid ponds in the maps that it became easier to die from acid than bosses🤦‍♂️ It’s so repetitive that it becomes boring after 10 minutes. Don’t waste 5$ for this game.Version: 1.1.2

Needs improvementIt’s a decent game, but hard to fully enjoy playing due to how slow paced it seems comprares to the original. The dragon feels like the game moves at a crawl even with maxed speed, and the boss battles just seem tedious. That, and there seem to be a few glitches that make the game harder, such as the fact that half of the time the guns don’t even hit their target (unlike DH1 where it was always a hit if you were close enough with the sword), power ups don’t take effect if they hit a peripheral area like the tail, but somehow enemies hit the tail and it still deals full damage. Some of the non-boss enemies seem to deal a ridiculous amount of damage too, even more than the bosses in some cases..Version: 1.0.1

Disappointed tooLiked the first one. Was excited to see this one. But, like so many others have said, the difficulty is high, and the reward is low. I can see it’s going to take a major grind to get anywhere. I want to have fun, not grind. Sadly, deleted..Version: 1.0.1

Good game but the original Dragon Hills is better!I really liked the original Dragon Hills so I was excited to buy this game. Unfortunately, it’s just not as good as the original game. While you are able to collect more coins you have to pay a lot more for upgrades in the game. Also, it’s a game that makes you grind, and grind, and grind (you have to grind in the original game also, just not as much). The boss battles are interesting but it takes 2-4 time longer to kill the bosses than the original game (another grind). The art direction is great and it is visually appealing, but the music is awful and I had to turn it off. Also, the creators went with a zombie apocalypse, and this might appeal to others but I’m so sick of zombie games. I may play this game from time to time but I’ll stick with the original game and have more fun with it..Version: 1.1.2

No sound ruins gameI have reinstalled a few times but no sound on the app. Gameplay great and would be quality but sound an. Issue.Version: 1.0.0

Bad bad bad!!!Very disappointed. Game made super hard. Not possible to pass levels if you not put money in. Game have to be free not 2.99..Version: 1.0.1

Great Game! But you’ve got some problems…What a great game! I’ve been playing the original dragon hills for years, and a new game? Whoop whoop! Problem is that the bosses are kinda overpowered. I had to play for 3 hours to beat ONE boss. Not cool! But still, the game has so many improvements..Version: 1.1.2

Fun core, sloppy detailsThe basic experience is fun enough, but in the long term all your low-level upgrades become serious penalties (you want to un-buy everything but the good stuff), the grind becomes extensive, the level-up mechanism stops making sense after you change worlds, etc. There are just too many small frustrations..Version: 1.0.1

DisappointingLoved the first one. The endless, dull boss fights make it impossible to enjoy any other aspect of the game. Like smashing obstacles or chasing down zombies or collecting coins? Forget it. You have a few seconds of that before yet another long, slow boss battle with the boss constantly in your face and in your way. Finally beat the boss? Great, level is over and it’s time for another few seconds of gameplay before another boss. The game has a lot of fun new obstacles you can’t enjoy..Version: 1.0.1

Not as good as first.Still good but suffers from same problem as first in that the screen is so busy you get shot without ever seeing where it came from. Also why no endless mode ? Better bosses but still too easy. Better graphics but a bit to much going on. To easy to miss power ups and now they won’t scroll past you like in first game. Oh and the grind is real, worse than first..Version: 1.0.0

Certain aspects need improvementGreat sequel to your first game, however there are minor details that really effect gameplay, such as the inability to shoot power up guns while near/through buildings yet boss’s can and do kill you with guns in the same areas, not to mention while emerging from the ground rapidly in order to do as much damage as possible to boss’s only about half of your jumps register as damage or you’ll simply get stuck beneath the boss and keep riding underneath them at whatever speed they’re travelling, please fix.Version: 1.0.1

New update, nominal improvementThe latest update — mostly the addition of two new permanent dragons — helps this game out a bit. This game still feels like it spends most of its time punishing the user for playing it. Massive frame rate issues playing it on a 2017 iPad. Lots of camera tracking issues — when using homing missiles or when bosses explode, the camera shifts focus away from your character making it almost impossible to see what you’re doing. In other instances, especially when you pick up speed, the camera pushes way to far ahead of the player, so you can barely see where you’re at on screen. It’s still absolutely ridiculous that power ups are only activated if they touch the head of your dragon, but enemies can do damage by hitting any part of your dragon. And the pacing of each level is still clunky, not nearly as smooth and fast as the original. Plus... there’s still no endless mode. It just feels like this developer completely misunderstood what made the first Dragon Hills so much fun..Version: 1.1.0

Like the game but....Live the game but I had to remove to the game and when I loaded it back on I lost everything and start all over again I am not impressed epic fail ;/.Version: 1.0.1

Bonkers Difficulty+5 stars for being a solid upgrade from the first game. -2 stars for the insanely uneven difficulty. I can understand the acid damage hits (as lava was an insta-kill in the first game), but single attacks that can shave off half an upgraded health bar? Add that to bosses that have waaay too much health and ridiculous attacks, and it doesn’t work. You need a few invincibility frames after normal attacks, and boss durability needs to be cut in half at least. I’m at level 40-something in the first game, I know how to play it, it shouldn’t take 20 attempts to kill the level 6 boss! Fun if you like grinding your way to victory, but this game needs some serious rebalancing..Version: 1.0.0

Loved the first game, exploited by this oneI ADORE Dragon Hills 1. This sequel is ridiculously unbalanced and upgrades are ridiculously expensive. Also the whole urban-zombie-apocalypse spin on the the original game is SO BORING AND UNORIGINAL. Please go back to your roots and make a Dragon Hills 3 that is more like the first..Version: 1.1.1

Fun game until level 6.This is a pretty decent sequel but the level 6 boss is probably the worse designed boss in both games. Your basically at the mercy of the level design to stop the big truck from moving. 90% of the battle is just trying to catch up. Not fun and ruins what could of been a perfect sequel..Version: 1.1.2
