✓ Rip offI paid for no advertising and the latest update of this app is ridden with stupid pop up adds for in app purchases, social media connection and coins and other silly unneeded and very annoying pop ups. I now have to "X" out of multiple layers of BS, self serving ads the developer wants to throw out there to get to the actual puzzle. Their dictionary acumen is horrible too. Over 50% of the time when you put a legitimate, correctly spelled word out there in hopes it's one of the ones for the puzzle. The app doesn't even recognize, nor give you credit for finding a word that fit the letters, yet was not in the puzzle. Needless to say, I'm done with the greedy, self serving app developers. There's much better games out there and ways to spend my time. I will seek refund from the developer first, then Apple if no resolution. I emailed the developer 2 weeks ago and it's been crickets ever since. Do yourself a favor and find any other app than this one!.Version: 2.1.6

The ad I saw featured two characters on a life raft, and a grid of letters you could use to spell items that would help the characters. This is just a rather boring anagram game. Boring gameplay. ✓ It’s ok but annoyingThe game itself is ok however it is also frustrating as some words that are accepted in earlier levels are not accepted in later levels and some words that are not accepted in earlier levels are accepted in later levels so you don’t know if using a word will be successful or not sometimes so it takes you longer to complete a level. Plus as already pointed out in a previous review you lose you points continuation bonus as you use a word expecting it to be successful only to be rejected. As much as I like this game I get more frustrated with it when it does these things..Version: 2.2.0

✓ Add on Instagram misleadingThe add on Instagram was essentially a different game to what’ve I’ve just downloaded. Also, the privacy policy,(what possible information could a crossword game be collecting for starts?!) then when I go to read the privacy policy, it took me to the the developers website and NOWHERE was the privacy policy readable. Basically it said, if anything changes, we’ll let you know. Mate if it’s collecting data, I want to know what data it’s collecting. ✓ Needs Some FixingAfter almost every round you will have to watch an ad, if not after every round. This is very annoying, and makes the game pale in comparison to similar games with less obtrusive advertising. Also, the bonus word should not be mandatory. It’s called a bonus for a reason. I also put ton in as a word, but apparently that’s not the correct spelling, despite the fact it is. In fact, there are many times you will spell a word but they want it spelled in some European way. Finally, there have been ones when I’ve put in word after word that just acts as a bonus instead of actually being in the puzzle. Which is just annoying. Actually, I have one more complaint which is the finger tracking on the game is abysmal. So many times I have traced over certain letters but they won’t connect. ✓ Doesn’t support across devices; ads don’t respect mutingThe game itself is ok. Nothing addictive but it passes the time. When my iPad needs charged and I play on my laptop or iPhone, the status level doesn’t transfer. UGH! The ads are very annoying because: 1) they are after EVERY level, 2) they are redundant (the same ads over and over) 3) they often play music even when the game has been muted (don’t play when you’re supposed to be doing something else!!!) I realize the intent is to get me to pay to remove ads but I actually like to see other games on occasion. Plus I won’t pay if the game isn’t cross compatible or addicting. I expect in a week I will be bored and delete it. UPDATE: Needs some instructions and guidelines regarding: 1) Scoring. How does that work? 2) I still haven’t figured out what the coins and flowers are for. 3) I can’t tell from the icons what each “help” item is. When I clicked on one to find out, I consumed it. 4) There are a LOT of valid words in the standard scrabble dictionary which are not recognized by the puzzle or bonus. ✓ MisleadingFirst of all - absolutely nothing like the advert. The Spelling is Americanised - fine if your in the us but not so good for us brits. I’m Up to level 300 now and some of the words used are almost impossible to find as they would never appear or have any use in modern language no matter how knowledgeable you are. And then some common words are actually rejected! Dump the ridiculous narration of good -outstanding -unbelievable etc. Really starts to become annoying after 5 mins of game time. ✓ Okay game.I have had lots of issues with this game. First and foremost are the tendency to allow certain words but disallow the same word if you add an S to the end. Both being valid words but one is not recognized. Stupid. Another recent development with this game is filling the Cat bank. This allows players to score and a fictional cat bank fills up and 12 hours later, you get 50 coins. But now, with one win, clearing a puzzle and getting 900+ point worth 1000 coins, the bank only fills to 50 and the other 950 coins are lost. What is the point of winning 1000 coins but only being awarded 50 and then having to wait 12 hours for them. Incredibly Stupid. And worst of all. A word is not allowed on one puzzle but is allowed on another. Just ran into this with the word ARSE. Not a word and then is a word. The consistency of this game leaves a great deal to be desired. ✓ ScammersChanging my original review from 3 stars to 1 since my last review seems to have mysteriously disappeared...I guess the developers are too cowardly to accept legitimate criticism so they removed it. So basically what I said in my last review is that the “lucky” spin wheel is completely rigged. No matter when you hit “stop” it stops wherever it wants to. That’s NOT “luck”. It’s a predetermined outcome. And to claim so is actually wrong. It’s nothing but a deception. You would think a game about words would define it more appropriately. Why am I bothered by this you ask? Because obviously they’re more worried about getting people to spend money buying coins than they are making the game fair, which is actually terrible. ✓ Nothing to achieveThis game is way too easy and has nothing to achieve. You can earn “total insight” points but you can’t use them for anything except an option to share on fb (which is so old and pointless by the way). All you do is advance to levels which do not increase in difficulty, but are merely repetitive in terms of words. As for words that don’t exist, I’m a linguist and, while some words are certainly rare, they do all exist. But it is a repetitive game that has no real point to it or goal. ✓ This is not what I wantedI was playing Helix Jump, when an ad came on for a game that was a snake and you had to move the snake to the right word. I press on the ad and it brings me to this, so I get it without looking at the pictures, and I find a completely different game to the one I found that looked actually fun. ✓ Great game, boring quickly, still addictiveSo I’ve made it to level 75 and yet I’m still only getting 5 letters and very simple majority-three-letter words to fill in. Occasionally I come to a butterfly level (no idea what purpose it serves!!) however on those the only opportunity to have lots of words which are occasionally longer than 5 letters, there’s a stupid butterfly requirement and it auto fills at random when you find a word with a butterfly... the game would be made better either by increasing in difficulty as levels go on, or having an option to set what kind of difficulty you’d like to play to have some more challenging options..Version: 2.6.3

✓ Random????I will start off by saying that I plan on removing this game from my phone unless someone will explain the logic behind the decisions of the the game at higher levels. I understand that the game must increase in difficulty, but when the same decision produces different outcomes, one starts to consider that trying to understand is senseless. This was an interesting and challenging game until to get to the point where it seems there is no logic or strategy behind the randomness. In the butterfly challenges sometimes a word will remove one butterfly and in another attempt it will only remove one. Of course failed attempts leaves you with two options quit and return the next day when you have more attempts or pay for extra attempts. It also appears that you have to play the challenge so many times that it will finally allow to to move past the level. This returns me to my previous statement where the designers force you to pay for extra attempts. This was a fun game, now it’s just an exercise in futility..Version: 2.7.0(1)

✓ DisappointedI’ve been playing this app for years. It’s OK to pass time. One thing does bother me. Now that I am retired I have more time to play. Which has helped tremendously I’ve learned so many words and gotten better at it. Problem I find is once your piggy bank is full with 50 coins. Which you earn. If you are constantly playing and you emptied your previous bank. You gotta wait over 12 hours to empty your extra coins. That’s insane. I keep playing for nothing as bank full 50 coins. ✓ Very poor privacy controlsThe App constantly asks about privacy controls & it is all too easy to select acceptance, which cannot then be revoked. The constant requests to change one’s rejection of targeted ads etc is very irritating. Despite having enjoyed playing this game for some time, I have now deleted it because of the above. ✓ Video adsThis morning I have watched 5 videos and have recited 0 pats. Some videos are freezing seconds in and will not clearsame thing is occurring. I had 3 friends playing they have all dropped out because of the videos after each win and watching videos with no points and freezing after selecting a word. You have to leave the game for 10-15 minutes to get the screen unfrozen. This all started after revision. When I switch from the daily game to the main game it goes to black causing me to loss by 50% off incentives. This is getting old. After watching videos screen goes black. Cannot get it back. ✓ Crashes, lost progress, strange scoring....Game started getting stuck loading at 1% then freezes and crashes. Can't even open it half the time... Repetitive words, made up words, ads after every single level...made the mistake of paying to remove them because at first the game is really fun and addictive. But once you get to higher levels and like ten in a row have the same words repeated just kinda makes it annoying after a while. Anyways there is a lot of potential to be a good game it just needs some fine tuning. The reward system needs work as well. It is very confusing right now, what are the flowers for? The gold rewards seem kind of skimpy as well. Also you lose your bonus streak even if you enter in a legit word and sometimes that legit word gets you the bonus.....I can understand losing your bonus for entering in something that is just gobbledegook but why not extra points for real words? I liked the idea of having to make the words to save the person i.e finding the word toilet to fix it, the word window to fix it etc. It was the advert that made me download it!! ✓ Fun but frustrating dictionaryI play this game a lot, but it gets frustrating because the allowed words are not backed by any kind of standard dictionary, and I wish it would be. It seems like maybe it just allows the words that the creators have used for one of the puzzles at some time. So there are tons of real English words that would be allowed in Scrabble for instance, but they will break your streak if you try to use them here. Or sometimes the plural form is allowed, but the singular is not. Or sometimes you will be struggling to figure out a word and it turns out to be some kind of slang, abbreviation, or proper noun. ✓ Fun GameIt’s a fun game, but frustrating at times, because 1) I feel like they use words that are so obscure they almost seem made up. It does force me to look up these words and increase my vocabulary, but at the same time frustrating if I’m trying to solve and don’t know what that final word is. 2) every time I try to use the daily spin (whether it’s on my iPhone or iPad) an ad will pop up advertising a coin sale and when I “X” out of that, the wheel is now frozen and I can’t get my daily spin in. Which brings me to 3) This “50% off” on the prize wheel is dumb and when I can manage to click on the wheel before the ad pops up (very rare by the way), it seems that 90% of the time it will land on this, even though it clearly should have stopped before that or it was going fast enough that it should have passed it. Because of these issues, I’m hesitant to buy any coins. If issues #2 & 3 aren’t fixed soon, I will be deleting the app and finding something less frustrating..Version: 2.2.0
✓ Not a fan of the latest updatesHave played this game for years and have enjoyed the challenge of learning new words and completing the puzzle. The rewards came quickly which encouraged me to keep playing. The latest updates delay the rewards to the point the game has become boring. Instead of 25 points after accruing 30 words not in the puzzle, you must wait 18 LEVELS to gain 25 points. Not worth the time it takes. Also, those extra words? You no longer receive points for legitimate words not in the puzzle unless it is on some arbitrary list related to that specific level. A word that is not accepted on level 2435, for example, is acceptable on level 2436. It makes no sense and provides no help in vocabulary building. One thing that has not been fixed is the 50% off hints for one hour which only worked 1/2 the time and never on the daily rewards. It is possible that they moved the letters in the play location - where you choose the letters - closer together so if you just barely sweep by a letter while lining out a word, that letter is chosen, your word is misspelled and you lose the run on the 12 or 40 word count rewards. All of these issues are problems, but the biggest issues for me are the arbitrary rejection of legitimate words not included in the puzzle and having to play through 18 LEVELS for a measly 25 points. Not worth the time and effort and BORING. That’s my two cents..Version: 2.7.5

✓ ArghI have so many frustrations with this game and most are about words. 1. Words that aren’t words. I know there are words that I don’t know yet, and that’s okay, but when you look up a bizarre word and can’t find a definition, it’s crap. 2. Bonus words. I’m not talking about the stand along word you get coins for. When you get a word that’s not on the board, they count it as a bonus word. Whether they count terms or not varies widely and is hugely inconsistent. Being punished for getting a legitimate word that was in a previous board is immensely frustrating. 3. Word choice. I get that it’s meant to get harder, and that’s fine, but the words they choose sometimes are awful in context. There will be rounds when everything you put in is counted off as bonus and you can’t get a darn thing on the board because they skipped over so many good words to focus on bizarre crap. I’ve had rounds with 20 bonus words when I’ve had to look up words because they chose a poor selection. I have a good vocabulary, so when I’ve tried everything normal and am on to being punished for trying “nary”, it’s crap. I’m on level 640-ish and it’s utterly ridiculous. All of this points back to money. In the game setup it’s obvious they’re trying to set it up in such a way that you feel confident and then just use a hint on that one word..Version: 2.2.0

✓ Not the worst gameIt’s ok. The amount of ads is ridiculous, sometimes having to watch a 30 second ad after playing one round that might take ten seconds to complete. I ended up just turning off Wifi so n9 ads can load. Scoring is inconsistent to say the least. You get flowers for correctly guessing words, but the flowers don’t seem to get you anything. If you want to buy more coins for clues one of the options is to buy either a “half hour” or “hour”, but they don’t tell you half hour or hour of what. You get extra points for guessing words that aren’t in the puzzle, but that just rewards you for being wrong. There are no bonus points for finishing within a certain amount of time or solving the puzzle without guessing incorrect words. That makes no sense at all. And you could get ten points for solving a fifteen word puzzle but 25 points for solving a six word puzzle. Makes no sense at all and don’t expect any explanation of the rules to be found anywhere..Version: 2.1.9

✓ Fun puzzles.I’ve been playing this on and off for a while now. Here’s my observations. Pros. Fun way to exercise your brain. Each level is short and mostly quick. Tournaments add a bit of extra fun on the side. Cons. “American” spelling of words can sometime leave you completely stumped. I don’t use a dictionary app at all so ?? Ad, Ads , Ads. ✓ False advertisingAs others have said, I also downloaded this game as it kept coming up as an advert. It seems the ad I saw was completely different to others - a stick man in some kind of problem, and you have to make words in order to fix his situation. I played one round after downloading and then deleted it. Making words from letters in a circle? I’ve had Letter Soup for ages for that. I wanted the advertised game, it seemed a good one to wind down to. ✓ Skillful Crossy!I absolutely love this game and would have given it a 5 all day long. However, the game rewards you to hook it up to your Facebook page which I never do but, against my better judgement I did and as soon as I did, all of my inventory was taken, except 5 pieces each. I had at least 100 each maybe more! I also had an abundance of coins. Again against my better judgment I bought many different piggy bank packages which, I never do and I mean never! ✓ The ads are ridiculous!I like the game it is great for passing time but a lot of things bug me and almost make me want to stop playing which I’m sure I will at some point soon. First, there is literally an ad after every level and the levels really take one to five minutes for the most part. Thirty second ads every couple of minutes is over kill and ridiculous. Also, if you close out real quick to answer a text or something and go back in seconds later, you have to watch a 5-15 second ad for that. Secondly, you have to have coins to get hints and the amount of coins it cost versus how much they give for completing tasks makes it impossible. ✓ Uses old English?I enjoy this game but spend half of my game time in disbelief, searching for a dictionary definition of words I have never heard of. Many words used in this game are from old English or British use (?). Such as “deb”, “loo”, “pooh”, etc. And many I have never heard or seen used in a sentence, such as “rewin”. Also, I notice the first words I find are pretty common, such as “sour” but it won’t be used in the puzzle. Instead it is collected in a “gift box” as a bonus word. If you collect enough of these, you are awarded coins. It seems the developer could’ve put these words in the puzzle but failed to do so and the gift box words are a fix to that problem. ✓ Fun but has some hang-upsI’ve spent a while playing this game, and while I’ve enjoyed it more than other word games I’ve tried, it still has some issues I think need to be addressed. First, ad glitches. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to watch an ad to get coins used in the game, only to have it get stuck on a black screen. You end up having to restart the app and you never get those coins. Second, inconsistency in the words accepted. In all puzzles some words that are not part of the crossword are still accepted as “bonus” words. But it seems to vary from puzzle to puzzle which are accepted. For example: one puzzle might accept “TIN” as a bonus word while another might not. It’s frustrating when you get to the bonus combo mode and you lose it on a word that should have been accepted universally. ✓ InconsistentSo I agree that it is a way to pass the time. Some major improvements can be made. You get high scores by not guessing incorrect words. The issue with this: sometimes a word that is absolutely, definitely a word will not get credited, so then points are lost...but it’s a real word (e.g. “let”). Sometimes words that are in one puzzle (in the actual puzzle) don’t get credited as a real word in the next puzzle. So while you HAVE to guess, “ire,” in order to complete one puzzle, you need to make sure you avoid it in another puzzle. It’d be one thing if points were deducted just because there isn’t a spot for the word...but when you guess a legit word that isn’t part of the puzzle, it sometimes recognizes that you’ve discovered a word that isn’t used in the actual puzzle, and you still get points for that word with no deduction. Sometimes it will deduct points when I didn’t even get a chance to spell a word. Sometimes my finger hits the wrong starting letter, so I have to remove my finger from that letter. It seems that considers that a wrong spelling. I think that’s too much. And I agree with the bonus word issue. It’s not a “bonus” if it’s required. 🙄.Version: 2.3.2

✓ Good but not without flaws.Pretty fun game. Got a few weeks of enjoyment out of it for only 3 bucks to remove ads (a necessity if you want to play it for any length of time in my opinion). Minus one star for not including some very common words in their word bank and breaking your word combo for entering them. The game has been out too long to have not corrected some of these. Like other players have mentioned, the flower/coin point system is vague. Please resolve these problems. I’ really like this game; but, am considering uninstalling it. Here are a few examples of glitches & issues: 1. Stolen coins: Game took 50 coins & gave me nothing but red, swirling sparkles when Lightbulb Tool was selected. No hint was displayed; so, I did not get what I paid for. 2. Full bank won’t empty: Missing green Free-Empty option button: Green free-empty option button does not always appear in full cat bank option box. So, I could not empty bank & coins earned in next game were lost since they couldn’t fit. 3. NEXT game button after cat bank fills up: Sometimes the “NEXT” game button appears in error after the cat bank fills up instead of the special box with the options for free-empty or purchase. It slows down the game and makes it annoying because you can’t even mute every commercial/advertisement so if you are in public and an ad pops up, you have to lower the volume. My other, and even more annoying complaint, is that you can lose a streak because the game doesn’t accept a legitimate word. You might be able to use a word in 1 round to only find out that the same word is not accepted in another round. So even though you know the word has worked before, it might be rejected later. This in turn breaks your streak if you have been getting multiple words in a row. On top of that, certain words won’t be accepted like countries or cities for most of the games but then later on you have to use the Geneva. Like what the heck?!? Why would I even consider using Geneva if you have kept cities, states, countries, etc in every other instance? However I have contacted the developer many times over their inconsistencies with legitimate words. I think they cater to a British on the defense rather than an American due to the slang that is included. They have some anatomical words, but not others. But they consider the word “god” an offensive word, but not goddess or godless. “Queer” is also considered an offensive word which I find extremely ridiculous, but slang such as “guv” From the British word governor is included. I could go on and on. “Hip” is not a word but “hips” is, “hoe” is not a word but “hoed” is considered legitimate. I think you get the picture. ✓ It’s enjoyable, but has some issuesFirst of all, the ads.. never have I played a game where there is an ad that plays after EVERY single level, most of which are completed in just a few seconds. Isn’t this game just an exact copy of that one cookie word game anyways? Last issue I have is that the grammar is far from perfect.. First there are tons of perfectly acceptable English words that if entered are deemed incorrect (for example, “ton” was not considered a word, plus the word needed for the puzzle was “tun”.. really now? Come on game creators), however the biggest issue is some words required to solve the puzzle were not even actual words. The game is fun, don’t get me wrong, but the ads are far too frequent and therefore I find myself not wanting to play nearly as much as I would if they were less. I understand that for a game to be free there needs to be ads, but this one isn’t good enough to pay to have them removed, or to literally spend as much time watching ads as I do playing the actual game..Version: 2.3.2

✓ Don’t bother.I’ve seen this game pop up loads on Facebook and thought it looked fun. You are given a choice of two words one right one wrong. Click on the right one and you move further from the danger click the wrong one closer. Download the app and it’s a crossword which I HATE. I will be deleting the game. Please when you make you ad show us what the game is really like as people choose the game based on that and it is misleading. ✓ Terrible customer serviceI played a game that had the same word twice. I had to use over 500 points, that I paid for, to get past the game because of the duplicate word. I wrote an email to the developer letting them know what happened and asked them to credit me the points. What would the harm have been to the developer to credit some points. However that didn’t happen and they didn’t even respond to my email with an apology. I sent several emails. There have been several kinks in the game where I have had to use my points to advance to the next game. I stated in my email that I would continue to rate the game low and guess what they did. They locked me into a 5 star rating where I’m not able to rate any lower than 5 stars through the game. Can you believe that. That is unethical. I’m completely shocked that a company would do something like this. I’m in the process of filing a complaint meanwhile I wonder what is the next shady thing this company does!! ✓ Mysterious ScoringIt’s okay...a way to pass time. Can’t figure out the scoring. Some reviews criticize the “bonus” word because it’s mandatory that you find it before moving on. I don’t think it’s a bonus word, per se. Finding that word does “pay” out in “game coins” that allow you to buy hints. That’s their only purpose or use, as far as I can tell. And, yes, you do have to find it before moving on. The whole game could use some clearly written -out COMPLETE instructions and information on scoring, in case that affects someone’s methods of word guessing. The only thing remotely like directions is masked as the first several stupid-easy “levels” when a pop-up indicates how to run your finger along the letters to make the words, and that for help you can touch two icons: one to mix-up the letters and one to get hints. It doesn’t mention that the hints “cost” those “game coins” mentioned earlier. I think putting in wrong guesses may adversely affect the score. Don’t really know. Sometimes a correct word is worth 1 point and sometimes it seems to be worth 2. No explanation on scores. But that’s okay with me. I don’t pay attention to the score. By the way, I accidentally bumped one of the “buy this offers” and my screen went black. It wouldn’t go on or go back (I waited quite a while). ✓ Satisfying... except when irritatingOverall this is a good chill-out brain game. I’d recommend it, but for the way it will reject a perfectly acceptable and common word, I suppose because they are afraid it will offend?! God for example, may be a word that has some existential controversy surrounding it, but it doesn’t change the fact that it should be a perfectly acceptable word! You can’t say “Ra was an Egyptian god” without it. There’s nothing inflammatory about that statement, and it’s not a proper noun, so why can’t “god” be acceptable? A hoe is a gardening tool! I don’t even know if the derogatory word associated with hoe even has an “e” on the end, and it’s slang, so who cares anyway? On the other hand, the most bizarre, unlikely words might actually be accepted. I’ll be on an excellent streak of success and suddenly lose my streak because I’ve entered a perfectly innocent, appropriate, regular word that you consider too... something. Other than that frustration, I enjoy the game for its own sake. The points are pointless but they help you feel like you’re progressing, I guess. ✓ Just got it today!I have 5 things to say: 1) I got to level six when it asked me if I wanted to rate it 5 stars. But what it said was- " enjoying word puzzle so far? ✓ AnnoyedUp until a week ago I was thoroughly enjoying playing WordCrossy. All of a sudden there are no more levels to play, just a little message saying "coming soon". I emailed them, not once but three times. At no time have they replied and the game is still at a standstill. ✓ Not as interesting as I’d hopedI saw the word crossy advert somewhere, and as a longtime crossword/soduko/linguist puzzler, I thought this would be great. Sadly, apart from the lack of instructions and background info, there is also little variation in challenge. Now I’m 400 levels in , and entirely frustrated by - no plan of how to advance - no advance in crossword (anagram) complexity - restricted to a mediocre USA language lexicon - hence no development/upgrade of content, they’re just focussed on cutsie backgrounds and you buying quick (1 level) solutions. ✓ Ridiculously obscure words need anagram solver to guessI thought this was a terrific game to begin with, played each day, even despite American spellings for words. ✓ Freezing screen stopping you getting daily credit tokensI really enjoyed this game until a few weeks ago when an update changed the fact that on the daily events I could no longer collect my winning tokens because the screen froze this happens every time. So you lose 25 token credits that you have won, as you then need to restart game. It forces you to pay for credits. ✓ DisappointingAds are the least of my problems with this game...most can be bypassed within seconds. 1) The hint icon is in a ridiculous position for a right handed player...the knuckle of my little finger often hits it unintentionally, very frustrating. 2) Appears to be locked in portait format...again very frustrating as I prefer to use my iPad in landscape. 3) Words accepted in one game are not in another...totally inconsistent. 4) No description of the points system, e.g. 6 points can be added for a a pretty obvious 3 letter word, nothing for a less obvious 6 or more letter word. On the advert it shows a word search and someone matching pictures to the words but the game is just like any other word link game so downloading this was a big disappointment although I see no harm in playing it. 2. ✓ The spin wheel is totally rigged but otherwise a good gameI would rate this game a 5 if it weren’t for the fact that the reward wheel is so blatantly rigged. I’m up to almost level 1800 and the wheel has prizes up to 1000 coins, and I have NEVER received more than 100 coins, which is one of the lowest rewards. Cmon guys, I don’t expect 1000 every spin, but it’s clearly rigged to try and make you buy coins. To be honest you don’t really need coins that much, but I just feel it’s dishonest. ✓ You have to play to payI have used this game for a long time. Since it was new. And through the years they have sadly gotten so greedy. Recently they started tournaments. I noticed right away that when I started to play then others would start. I soon realized I was playing against a bot. In the last tournament I took screen shots of this and the fact the top two winners had the same name and the same picture. I just stopped playing it altogether after that as if you really want to play the game you need to buy coins. I can’t play without buying coins, but they use such bizarre words like words that are used in medicine, etc so if you want to move on you have to buy your way out. So until they give written instructions and come forward with the fact during tournaments your playing against the house basically and they are driving up the scores in order to get people to buy coins then I sadly can’t play it anymore. ✓ Absolutely RUBBISH game!There are a few things that I can already point out in this seriously rubbish game. First, this may be a copy of another game out there but I can’t be bothered to search for one that is like this but it is a game genre that is so common it is annoying seeing another game like this again (also why not advertise it as it is in game?). ✓ IncompleteAs someone who enjoys words and vocabulary games, I was excited to get this. However the dictionary this game uses is both incomplete and inconsistent. On some levels the crossword will have a word (eg. pope) AND the plural of the same word (eg. popes). However on other levels it does not recognize plurals of words, not even as bonus words. And since the scoring system gives you bonuses for consecutive crosswords and bonus words found, it’s quite frustrating to have a high consecutive word count and then make the plural of a word and have it break the chain because the dictionary doesn’t recognize it. (Eg. bite/bites). Also. In one level it recognized the word “not”. But not the word “ton”. It DID however recognize the word “tun” which actually is a real word. But come on. Ruin my word streak for “ton”? These are real examples from within the first 20 levels of the game. After which I deleted the app..Version: 2.2.0
✓ New Update ConfusionFor some reason my hidden talent in life is making words out of any assortment of letters so I love games like this. Before the update I could fly through levels but if I got stuck on one word (usually some old usage or British pronunciation word as some have mentioned before) I could just spend some of the massive coin total that I have accrued over the course of 900+ levels and figure it out after one or two letters. Now with the latest update there is literally zero usage for the coins! Makes no sense. Now you have to use one of there 3 hint features which you can only slowly collect via a daily bonus by logging on once a day. ✓ Piggy bank full but can’t redeem/emptyI’m at level 493. I just filled the piggybank again but it won’t let me retrieve the coins AND it won’t add any more. So I’m playing and completing puzzles and not getting coins. There is what appears to be a timer at the bottom of the button used to retrieve the piggybank coins. My timer says 18:23:19. Does that mean I can’t get my coins for 18 hours plus. If so I might as well quit playing until tomorrow. I’ve had some of the other problems mentioned as well. I saw somewhere that once you got 10,000 flowers there was some reward. I have over 12,000 and still waiting to get whatever reward. I too have noticed that valid words do not score. I know that 2 letter words don’t count but I’ve had many 4-5 letter words that don’t score anything. I did discover that if one taps the “Bonus” to the left of the flower at the top it will reveal the bonus words found and the number of bonus words available. That leads me to believe that not all dictionary words are valid as bonus words. One just gets so many per puzzle I guess. I too would like to see a more complete description of the point system and also what makes a combo a great combo versus an outstanding combo etc. Lastly, I’ve discovered many slang words are valid and I didn’t expect that..Version: 2.5.4
✓ Derivative and dull.Completely different game to the one shown in the advert which is just deceitful and frankly false advertising. Just another word-finding game with a limited vocabulary (I really shouldn’t be able to come up with a 3 letter word that is too obscure for it). Putting some random pretentious pictures in the background and playing some mind numbing my repetitive music does not count as creating a unique and interesting game.
