✓ Fun Game, great Dev responseUPDATED REVIEW Yesterday I happened to download the game during a server-side problem that made me think there was a problem with the game. There wasn’t. The developer responded very quickly and since then I’ve been enjoying tinkering with the game. It’s pretty nice to play, though there is a learning curve. If you want other people to see what you’re doing, mirroring your display to an Apple TV works well. It even works on my cluttered unused dining room table which has stacks of junk mail and other miscellaneous stuff. I’m running on an iPhone 8 Plus, and while it does get a little warm, it’s not beyond what I would expect. I played other AR games on my iPhone 6s, which did get very warm, so if you’re concerned about that, it’s time for an upgrade :-) The Dev response below is to my original review, which I have deleted..Version: 1.1.1
✓ Worth every pennyDon’t look at the price tag when you buy this game. You will not regret it. This game is the future of lane based, tower-minion warfare. The graphics are gorgeous. ✓ (Updated) Multiplayer is working now...Original Review: Purchased this game to play locally with friends and family during the holiday’s. After going through all the tutorials and getting all devices set up to play, the multiplayer map will launch just fine. However, the bases and “hero’s” do not load and map just sits there. I tried waiting for it, but nothing ever loads. Very disappointed in a $5 game that Apple praised as “revolutionary”, and doesn’t work as advertised. ***Updated: After swapping to another WiFi connection the multiplayer began working very well. I have been able to play against family over the past few days, and enjoy the capabilities of the game. The developer did contact me and worked to resolve the issue which is appreciated. However, the first couple of WiFi connections and the cellular signal were not adequate to handle this game over the air. The game is very engaging and entertaining, and the local multiplayer really makes it a great game!.Version: 1.3.1

✓ The amazing futureI was excited to see the ARkit Apps when I first heard about it. I was watching YouTube videos - counting down the days until I could finally get my hands on something amazing... The day of release for iOS11, I searched for games and downloaded pretty much all of them I could find. I saw this, and instantly purchased without hesitation.. a risky decision for a game which had just released.. I can honestly say, I am absolutely blown away with it. Yes - there are things to improve such as being thrown into a tutorial which doesn’t teach that much, the map is huge (which is amazing, but usually hangs over tables etc), and initially I couldn’t even complete the tutorial! — what’s even more outstanding is that I’ve seen almost daily updates to the game addressing all of these issues. Also I’ve noticed that the developer is replying to tonnes of reviews with detailed and honest responses which you NEVER see on the App Store these days. Really makes you feel that your money isn’t just being dumped into a huge company.. keep it up dev. I was so impressed with this game, even the game menu is crazy, so futuristic and not a single bug or glitch for me. Buy it. But it now. Download it. Play it..Version: 1.1.1

✓ FantasticSo I, like many others saw this at the Apple keynote and I was intrigued. Decided to buy it tonight and try it on my ip7plus. Wow what an awesome thing to see first hand. Truly amazing display of AR gaming and makes me truly excited to see what we're gonna get down the road. The game is fun and very immersive. It looks and runs great on this device but I can't wait to see it in action on my iPhone X next month. Great job devs. A fantastic first dive into AR. I definitely recommend this. ✓ The Machines iPhone 7 PlusThis is a different way to play video games... You can literally move your phone into any position which will replicate in the game, allowing you to view the battlefield from any angle you feel which immerses you into the game. The game could be explained a little better. I still aren’t quite sure of the full dynamics of the game. Graphically though, WOW! It’s well worth £4.99 just not to have any pay walls etc... pay once, play forever. ***UPDATE*** incredible developer who obviously care about their fan base as they have repeatedly listened to their customers and upgraded and fixed where necessary... this is 5 stars for me now and feels polished and complete..Version: 1.2.0

✓ A question to the developers.This game plays and looks stunning. It works very well and is very addicting. How many maps do you all plan on adding? I feel more variety would spice up the game. The detail in the 3D models is super crisp and there’s something so magical about being able to physically move closer to zoom in to the battlefield. ✓ Wifi requiredThis game is incredible! You can really feel the love the developers put into the game. The only problem that I have with it is the need of wifi to play the game. This question is primarily for the developers. Would it be possible to make, for example, a computer opponent in which does not need wifi, and the player can select the difficulty like easy, medium, and hard when opposing the AI? You could still keep the loading, and menu the same, but say offline to the features that require a internet connection. I know people have data, or wifi in most areas, but this would be beneficial to those who do not always have access to it. This could then benefit people like me that can then play the game without wifi, and can still enjoy the Immersive experience of the game itself. All in all, if u do use wifi, purchase the game. ✓ 5 star game!Great game! Grabbed an iPhone 8 yesterday after being on a windows phone for the last few years, set it up, found this game, downloaded and played. Wow, what a cool, easy to play game. ✓ I love the concept but...For some reason i am getting a left to right pulsing effect when the camera generates the map. ✓ Works well, I love itI have an iPhone 7 Plus, it works perfectly fine on it, no stutters or anything! :) my only issue is finding a surface to play on, it never works on tables, only rugs on the floor and stuff. ✓ Great Game. Minor issueAfter updating Thursday, the single player button is non responsive on my iPhone 7 and my iPad Pro. The game was working perfectly until I updated, I thought the problem may be my devices until I gave it two days without opening the app and afterwards single player is still non responsive. ✓ It’s a cool game with a flaw.I love this game! This game is really fun because it allowed people to play a fun game while being able to see reality that it’s in. The only problem is that the board moves around a lot and then I have to keep moving which getters really annoying after a while. I would really like this game to stabilize its game board so you can move around it and get a new perspective. A good example of this is stack AR, you can move around it all you want and it stays in place. ✓ Smart conceptHave been wanting to see AR games come to this level and this has really evolved the level of gaming. This game has lots of potential. Uses the concept of dota, and you control two heroes with abilities. The downside is there is no single player, you have to play against online opponents. ✓ Some suggestionsI wrote a review about this game yesterday state that the game does not response. It turns out it’s just a misunderstanding, the game server was down. However, I really want to point something out here. I wrote a email to them complain about my problem. I received a response in less than 5mins. This is something really awesome it shows that the team care about players. After the server went back online, I tried the game both on my iPad Pro and iPhone. First of all I would like to point out the graphic of the game is really good, and the AR just make the gaming experience seems more realistic. However there are some downside as well, it make my iPhone seriously hot in a very short period of time, hopefully this won’t happen after I switch to iPhoneX. It also seems like it’s very difficult for the game to find a plain surface. Finally, the game does not allows you to zoom in and out using your fingers, the only way to zoom in and out is by actually moving your phone closer or away from the plain surface. With all of the above been said, I would like to say thank you for the team, you guys has down a awesome job so far. Keep it up..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Absolutely AMAZING!!Sure you can play all the other AR games out there but why would you? Machines will NOT disappoint, the game is easy to play, the dynamic sound feature is amazing the closer you get the louder and more visual detail there is. For $8 Australian it is well worth the price, I expect this one to go down in the hall of fame, while your enemy goes down in flames. If only I could play it on “cardboard” or similar ... Of course you might trip on your rug or your table if you played on cardboard, but that’s your own fault for not clearing enough space! Love the game, love how when I get closer to the actual areas of fighting those sounds get louder, I love the mechanics, I love the visuals, but I want more! On your website it doesn’t tell us anything yet, but I want to know... can we currently unlock the other heroes? (If so I don’t know how) Will there be more maps? Will there be 2v2? And I wish I could choose to play a friend even on local WiFi or something, there’s also no way to communicate with anyone else on the game, not even a forum, so hard to connect to the community. Seems a shame, but the game is sooooo fun, I just want a little more content, especially with my money’s, potentially would love to pay for (or get for free wink wink ;))more skins/win effects (like both robots high five) and maps.
