✓ Beautiful, but boringThe game is beautiful, but it suffers from a few flaws. The puzzles are too simple compared to many others of the genre. The majority of the game is spent clicking around to get to the right location to use the obvious item. The other gripe is that if you are playing this on a mobile device and you switch to answer a text the game needs to reboot. The user interface is clunky and the “cut scenes” are tedious. I give the game 3 stars for the art work and the cute story, but as paid for puzzle game I was rather disappointed with the lack of challenge..Booth!Version: 1.0.6

✓ Still fun to play but lost a little sparkleI am a huge fan of fire maple games - i have played each of them countless times and the puzzles have been great. I’d say grisly manor 2 topped the lot. It was superb. Thickety Creek feels rather short and samey and lacks any really interesting puzzles. This ends up with trudging backwards and forwards around similar levels without really feeling like you are being rewarded even when you solve something. Having said that there is a shocking shortage of these type of games so I do want to put the developer off! ✓ GlitchReally fun game, but there’s a minor glitch where it will get stuck on a certain hint (I.e examine photo with magnifying glass) even if that item is no longer in your satchel. ✓ Hint Feature has brokenLove everything Fire Maple Games have brought out and have played each game multiple times! This game seems like it could be amazing, but I’m currently having an issue where I am quite far into the game and the hint feature has broken. It keeps giving me the same hint over and over, even though I have already completed the part of the game the hint is relating to. The hint reads: “You need to use the piece of wood from screen 7 the set the correct nail positions on the back of the small toolchest from screen 25.### IMAGE”. I can carry on without the hints, but I worry there may be something else wrong with the game that won’t let me progress any further. ✓ Expected more for 5 bucksI really enjoyed the photorealistic backgrounds and the puzzles left me stumped on my first playthrough but that’s just it, the puzzles remain the same, on every playthrough. for 5 bucks I’d probably want a hard mode after completing the main game, with harder or even randomized puzzles, have an art book after completing hard mode. ✓ Quite disappointed TBH...I’ve been a big fan of Fire Maple and I enjoyed playing both Grisly Manor games a lot. That’s why I didn’t even hesitate to purchase this one. But it’s just not the same. Firstly I find the navigation system is very hard to use. Many times I find myself accidentally enter or exit the map. It’s like the extreme version of having a fat finger. I think they try to give multiple paths in the same map and arranged them too close to one another. And the whole thing just seems buggy. If I click an item and trigger some dialogue, sometimes the screen becomes unresponsive for a good 3-5 seconds. Like it’s waiting for some imaginary voice to read out the dialogue. Last but not least, graphics is usually FM’s strength. I liked their style. But in this game, to fit the vibe and tone of this game, they set the background colors too close to each other. There is a difference between “hide an item in background as a puzzle” and “everything is soft grey/yellow/green I don’t know what I’m looking at”. I know I’ve only played for a few hours and there is still an chance I end up liking it but so far, not so good. And I never started using hints in such an early stage. It’s not because I can’t find it, it’s because when I click something and it’s either not doing the thing it’s supposed to do or just exit me out of the map. Then I got confused and thought I got it all wrong. Then turns out, hey! You just need to click it about 0.5cm right with a bit lighter touch and I was right the whole time!.Chrisli1108Version: 1.0.6
