✓ Huge Final Fantasy FanI am a huge Square Enix and Final Fantasy fan. I have FF VIII Remastered both on my PS4 Pro and now on iOS. I am more than happy to financially support Square Enix by purchasing both versions of the game. My one ask is that when a cloud save feature is implemented, that it be a cross platform cloud save feature. ✓ A long time waitingFinally, Final Fantasy VIII gets a release on mobile - completing the set from 1 through 9. I’ve been waiting so long for this one to be released and glad to see it out there now, but I’m bemused that there’s no cloud save support despite all the others having that facility; even FFVII on iOS has cloud save support, and that’s basically just the PC version running in an iOS window container. ✓ Please add full cheats...I have 7, 8, and 9... They run perfect, but please add full level, monetary, etc. cheats to FF8... I’m older now, and lack the patience to grind out the levels... If you could add this to your other FF games, as well as other Square Soft RPG’s, that’d be great. And I’d buy them all... But like I said, I’m older now, and I lack the patience for playing fair... ✓ Feature requestI love ff8 I’ve played it ever since I was a kid starting on ps1. I’ve even bought it on pc as well as iOS. Completed it many times it’s probably a nostalgic thing I play for now. Really love the game I’ve even bought ff7 and just completed it. Which leads me on to my request dev team. Can we please get a max stats like in ff7 and a encounter turn off please. Every time I’ve played the game it’s been hard to grind for all countless other side quests and cards, gfs and weapons there are as it’s a constant level grind. ✓ This isn’t for meThe only reason I have this game on my phone is for my 4.5 year old son. He LOVES the intro and the music and will see it and listen to it over and over. Initially, we would play it on the PS when he was 1.5 to get him to calm down so that we could change his clothes, diapers, or feed him since he’s autistic. But we soon realized that that prevented us from watching anything else since he really liked and wanted it to be playing constantly. Now we got smart and we have the game downloaded on our phones and switches. A huge shout out and thank you to the game developer and composer since my son is big fan! If I could have this and Chrono Cross on my phone I’d die happy. That’s said... why is there no controller support for a game... made for a controller? I feel like this was a HUGE oversight. And yet another example of a trimmed development in FFVIII. If it would get added at some point I think that would be amazing. Beyond that the port is solid. The FMVs are a bit choppy. ✓ RelievedI was worried that I was gonna just be throwing away $20 because of some of these reviews here and just looking online. Although it seems all complaints were about a year old. I just got to Timber and so far I’m not encountering a single issue. Iphone 11, no overheating, or freezing or automatic shut down. I also have this game on my PS4 but couldn’t push myself to actually play it. Having it on my phone is a different story, I’m outside a lot so it’s become my main game. ✓ Absolutely amazing on the iPadI bought this game on the xbox and switch and hated how it was 4:3 screen aspect ratio. It looked weird on the other platforms It’s perfect on the iPad as it uses the whole screen. You can’t get this on any other platform and when I stumbled upon this I abandoned the other platforms for this version. This game is great but remember they lost the original game files so there is only so much they can do to make it even remotely a remaster Definitely worth the money on this wacky final fantasy adventure.Version: 1.0.0

✓ No Regrets!I have been waiting for this game on iOS for years! Im happy to see that it seems like a much better remaster that the pc steam version as well. runs great on iPad air 4th gen. Also we now have remodeled npcs and not just main characters! The upscaled cut scenes are looking great. controls are working well, save for difficulty in using trigger on gun blade, but that will be solved when controller comes in. My feed back, rather my request, would be to the sharpen environments. a lot of blur was used to cover up the old lower environment resolution and thus its blurry. SE, please sharpen environments and make better textures of the environments in battle. then i feel like this game will truly been be complete..Version: 1.0.0

If you have a controller, this is (to me) a five-star game, but the touch controls are just a bit awkward to me. ✓ A long wait rewardedThis is a great port of an underrated Final Fantasy game. A great love story wrapped up in some tremendous world building and political shenanigans. There are also tons of secrets to uncover. 70+ hours of gameplay at least and the best soundtrack in the series. The story goes that Square Enix lost the original files to the game so the backgrounds had to be ripped from the PC version so they are lower resolution than IX but better than VII. This also prevents the game being widescreen. It doesn’t have controller support or cloud saving yet either..Version: 1.0.0

Been checking this for so long waiting to hear about it, remaster came out, nothing, then all of a sudden here it is! Such a great FF, the port is doing it justice very happy! Great work! In fact, I’m 3 hours in and have discovered a new found love for this game that I didn’t have originally. I think back in 1999 I was so in love with FFVII that I didn’t give it a chance. The battle and junction system is deep and interesting. Plenty of hours gameplay with wonderful character graphic improvements and fantastic music score. It’s definitely a classic and worth playing. One thing that bothers me greatly though is the fact the pre rendered backgrounds have been sadly overlooked, not been improved and they are not full screen. I love the artwork and think it’s a core feature to the Final Fantasy games and hoped that Square Enix would consider fixing and replacing this. Some scenes are just really low resolution, blurry, pixelated or a little washed out and it’s hard to make out what you’re actually looking at. Therefore I give this game 4 stars as I feel a little cheated. That being said FFVIII is still a classic game and up there with the best in the series!.Version: 1.0.0

✓ A million times, thank you!Wow, what a trip down memory lane! I’ve been wanting to have this game in my pocket for years now. I never got to finish it as a kid, because I scratched my fourth disc. And I don’t own any other consoles, so for me this is a dream come true. Playing on an XR with the latest version of iOS, and everything is running smoothly. The soundtrack is beautiful as always, I’m not having any issues with cutscenes, and it works great on airplane mode. Just a heads up, it’s not updated to be widescreen, so maybe that will bother some people, but for someone who played this in 1999, it’s the only version I know.
