✓ Could be betterGame is pretty fun. Having played the OG Bud Farm game it was easy to pick up on this one. Biggest concern is the drop rate for material. I’ve been playing for weeks and haven’t had any timers or matches drop yet. How are you supposed to upgrade and unlock things in the game if no material are available. Spending money CANNOT be the only way to progress in the game. I’d even be willing to wait out some drops but they never come..Version: 1.8.4

✓ New updateNew update has made the game worse, you now need to spend money to make items and to the build the stage there is how more items I need to get than before the update. To upgrade anything the items shown on screen is not 100% what you need, ie it says bags and boxes but when you click on the hammer is says you need bags boxes and scales... it also says in order to participate in the karma thing I need to log in, I’m connected through Facebook but still won’t let me participate. ✓ ResourcesI will say this game is a lot of fun and I do enjoy it. It has a major drawback though; resources. It’s hard to get upgrade material due to the randomness of the chests and the upgrades themselves need a lot of them, sometimes 5-6 of one type for a single upgrade. ✓ Ruined by bugsI downloaded the app after having played the original bud farm for over a year, and at first this one seemed to bring back the excitement I had for the Bud Farm games again. At first I couldn’t wait to progress through this game and I still find all the main gameplay assets interesting and fun, but ffs it’s barely even playable. My “connection to the server” is dropped about every 2 minutes, and it takes about a minute for the loading bar to crawl back to life again. Thought it was my WiFi connection at first but I’ve tried on several different networks and cellular data. The karma contest is just one big glitch, I get reminders that I need to sign in but every way to do that is just an un rendered icon on the screen. My “Shortlist” is a complete bug minefield, it’s about a 50/50 shot whether my purchases from other people’s farms, or “fests” in this case, will go through, and when they do the game usually requires at least one restart. Guys, it’s a fun game but I feel like I’m Beta testing honestly. Clearly the creative input was there and it has the potential to be a really fun and successful game but overall just sloppy execution..Version: 1.8.4

✓ Good game. But catches you out if you accidentally press on one of the chests.Been playing this game for a while now. I’d save up lots of the ‘bucks’ to buy materials when they’d show up in the shop. But there is no ‘are you sure you want to buy this’ options of the chests. So once I’d accidentally clicked on the highest rarity chest, it just spent 150 (about £3.50’s worth) of bucks. And to top it off, I only got 3 common items and 5 common cards that I could’ve bought in the shop for a few pence worth of coins. I’m pretty disappointed with this. And it’s definitely made me reconsider playing the game. As what’s the point in investing money in playing it, when one badly aimed press of my screen can cause me to lose money I’ve spent in an instant, with no ability to undo it or barrier to give you the option to change your mind if you’ve clicked on it accidentally. ✓ A little disappointedIt is fun but some items do take absolutely forever to get so once you hit a certain point unless youre actually spending money its gonna take you probably weeks to advance and be able to upgrade etc. as well when youre doing upgrades and go into the little tent itll say you have everything you need to upgrade your water or lights and then you go into the grow bus and click on one of them and suddenly youre missing 1 thing thats not even shown in your upgrades tent and you can go back and check and you should be able to do but you cant and the item is always something you need to wait for in the ganja chest or pay for with real money cause they are so rare if they even are for sale in the game for coins its like 40,000 for a piece.Version: 1.8.4

Support was fairly quick in fixing the issue but then a couple days later it happened again. Once I collect the coins from the sale, the app freezes and I’m unable to move to the next step. ✓ EhOverall it's fun to play and I enjoy it but compared to the original game it's impossible to keep up. There's only gizmos for the first few levels and you're left to make everything else in the contraptions which takes 1-2 hours at a time for only a few items. I can never produce enough of anything to really be successful no matter how frequently I play it. I also frequently get glitches with the free items for watching an ad where I watch the video and then nothing happens. Lastly I have to spend all my coins refreshing the daily items just to get 1 or 2 specific materials that I barely get any of but have to use a lot of to upgrade things. ✓ Super disappointingThe original Bud Farm was one of my favourites until I eventually grew bored of it, so I was really excited to see a new version in the store. Sadly it doesn’t even begin to stack up to the original, I got bored within days. It is impossible to get some of the materials to upgrade the farm, which leaves you toiling away endlessly with the same mediocre farm. The “store” is filled with a zillion boxes and bolts but no hoses or lights ever show up. No way to get guano except for the “quests”, Roachy the Raccoon is no where to be found. ✓ Boring, basic, glitchyI enjoyed the grass roots version of this game to an extent. I had trouble with a glitch in the grass roots game where I had spent money on potbucks and somehow as soon as the potbucks were delivered the game switched them over to coins which I never needed. The customer support personnel I spoke to about it were rude and unhelpful and refused to award me the potbucks I had paid for but other than a crappy customer service team the game itself was entertaining enough to hold my attention for some time. I hoped the same for this version but I’ve had lots of trouble with the same types of issues as most of the reviews here have stated so far, watching ads for free stuff that is never awarded, zero availability of materials for upgrading literally anything, I am also having an impossible time placing workers. The workers supposedly have preferred work zones but for some reason the game will not let me place those workers in their preferred work zone. The munchie zone was unlocked and it says I have a worker in that zone and that the contraption is producing but neither of those things are true. I have several workers in my “Buddies” storage but the game wont let me place them anywhere and there’s literally no way for me to upgrade anything to make more jobs for my workers. This game is insanely glitchy and so slow that it’s honestly not worth the frustration..Version: 1.8.1

✓ Okay..So, as a fan of these developers and as somebody who plays the original Bud Farm, I thought this would be a great extension of the game, but after the initial tutorial and unlocking the extraction trailer it’s been a week now and I cannot get any farther. ✓ One step forward, one step backI played the original game for quite some time, probably spent $100 to $200 on it. I like this newer take on this game but there are some flaws that just take away from the game. Sometimes two icons line up on top of each other. The job board icon is on top of the red left arrow icon inside the bus. How was it ever ok to release this game with such a silly and easily corrected flaw? I saw some starter bundles to purchase when I first started but have not seen any new deals at all since. The old game has them all the time. The menu in the social market doesn’t scroll, yet I can see other items to purchase if you were able to. I do love the new job board. ✓ Budfarm 420I wanted to give the game 5 stars. I was even going to spend some cash for game currency next payday. Then this happened. Three times I brought my points up to gold for this most recent karma event, today. Three times it kicked me back to silver so I brought it up again at 54 minutes to event end (with careful planting). I triple checked that I was at gold level. It even told me how many points to emerald level and at the end of the event I got SILVER!!! The game flat cheated me and I wasted a whole afternoon for lesser rewards than according to your game information I earned. If the game is just going to cheat then what’s the point? ✓ Can’t log in for eventI have been trying to sign into take part in the event and there is no where to do so. I’m on an iPhone 8+. I’ve gone through Facebook and likes the page, I’ve gone through IG and followed, still cannot login or take part in the event. Fix this and I’ll fix my rating. ✓ Had high hopes...I LOVE Grass Roots, I play it everyday. I was so excited to see the new game but honestly, it’s nowhere near as good. Kinda boring, actually. There’s not nearly as much to do in this game. There are no workers (like weedsmiths and repeaters), no good prizes (so I don’t even care about competing in karma contests), you can’t visit other “farms” (I know it’s a festival in this game) so it takes the social aspect out of it. You can’t help other people water plants, there are only 10 gizmos...I get it’s a different game, but if you’re going to make it different at least make it as good if not better. Idk what they can do to improve this game but I wish they would figure out something because I really want to love this game. But it often goes forgotten about and unplayed..Version: 1.8.4

✓ StuckI was having fun with the game and since I knew most of the mechanics of the game from bud farm I went ahead and sold some bud in my dispensary start before the tutorial showed me how. Now every time I enter the game it tells me about the dispensary, gives me bud to sell, and tells me to tap the first box to place it to be sold. I tap the first box to collect my earnings from my first sell without the tutorial and then the game freezes and won't let me do anything. I've tried deleting and redowoading the app but I reenter at the same place. Always stuck. I can't reset the app in any way. The upgrade items never show up in the market. I couldn’t access the karma contest, it told me I needed to ‘sign in’ and there is no place to do that from the settings menu. Way too many glitches from the ppl who already had most of the bugs worked on in BF. Dislike the changes set up with the dispensary off to the side and the way to access the garage and the job board buried in it. First, please do something about when your dealing with your plants, the arrow to go left to another pot is behind the bud board, maybe move it up a little, second, the X to exit out of something is too far up behind the banner at the top, sometimes when you hit it, it goes to the shop, move it too.
