✓ Taking advantage of youThe game itself is nice and fun, with many cool attacks, tanks, and other aspects, but it’s all nothing because of a serious problem: its littered with ads, which are strategically placed after buying something so that if you refresh or don’t watch it, you’ll lose the item you’ve received or the battle you’re doing will be lost. That wouldn’t be too big of a problem, however after every single attack you do in the Tournament mode there is an ad. You can’t close it out because if you do, you’ll lose the progress you have made into the fight and will have to start all over again. You could just turn off Cellular or WiFi, but then if you wanted to watch an add at the end for a box or revive using a video it’d take some time for the internet to connect back and then it says something along the lines of “No video. Network Issue. Try again later.” I advise you to not play this game if you have short patience. Other than that, it’s a great game and the drops are also nice from the boxes..ChubjikopVersion: 1.6.2

✓ Game changedI used to play this game all the time. It was a very good offline game. But the main trouble recently with it. Is that the tournament you used to be able to play with whatever tank you like for free for each difficulty. But now whoever made the game has become gready and has made it so you have e to have a certain amount of coins to play each difficulty which is a lot of coins which is definitely not worth the time or the money. It’s a disgrace that the person who made this game has got to the point in which they have to add more adds and also make you pay more money in order to enjoy more offline games, just so they can make more money. ✓ AddsThat game over all has a good premise and could be fun if it weren’t for the ridiculous amount of add that are crammed into the game. When I first launched the game I played thought the tutorial but directly after I had finished the tutorial an add popped up, hoping that this would be only an occasional thing I relaunched the app to try again. But the same thing would keep happening over and over again. After about ten time the game gave me the option to buy the premium package in order to not see anymore adds. I clicked no, then adds started to pop up when I was in the middle of playing a round. I would relaunch the app to avoid watching them but it continued. Sometimes I would watch the add became maybe then the adds would stop popping up when I was playing. But no they continued to pop up when I was play sometimes even twice in the same round. After that I I deleted the game out of peer frustration with it. ✓ Great game but too many ads for rewardsThe concept of the game is great and I’m really enjoying it but the amount of adverts you have to watch just to get chests is outrageous, I even bought remove ads and it hardly did anything I would’ve thought it would at least remove ads for chest but instead you have to pay £6.99 a week subscription for that which is disappointing and a little far fetched, I understand quality games like this aren’t easy to produce but it’s difficult to stick too a good game when your constantly watching ads for rewards but overall a good game 👍🏽.Luke_cleggyVersion: 1.4.7

✓ A lot of things which need fixingFirst of all, I get that games need to generate money by running ads but 1 minute of ads per 2 minutes of gameplay is ridiculous. Secondly, the online PvP mode is so broken. The game makes no attempt at all to match similarly ranked players. Half the time I’m playing against guys with maxed out hp and weapons while I’ve got 1 or 2 upgrades. Also it’s bugs out pretty often (5-10% of the time) someone drops out abruptly from the game servers, I love a free win as much as the next guy but if you’re charging some people $11/wk, surely you can afford better servers. And tournament mode could have the rules changed. Currently, you have to select 2 tanks per tournament and then those 2 are banned from the following tournaments, regardless of whether you even used both tanks or not. We should be allowed to use tanks which were selected in previous rounds but not actually used. Other than that, graphics are nice and game runs fairly smoothly..DFD96Version: 1.2

✓ Top textThis game has way too many full screen ads. It does it when navigating he menu, opening chests, and even during game play! Seriously. If you’re in the middle of playing it will randomly put an ad in the middle of the game. If you’re playing online, it will still put a full screen ad (which by they way you have a limited amount of time to attack your opponent during online matches and the ads cut into that time). Also this game crashes way to often. Certain attacks will kill the game, so if you’re playing tournament mode and you practically won but your opponent uses that one move, all you’re progress is gone. Also do you really expect me to pay 8 dollars a week, 20 dollars a month, or 100 dollars a year to get a diamond membership to get an extra tank and ads removed (that’s practically all that is useful, the other inclusions are kinda garbage). But all in all, besides those major problems, I enjoy playing this game, I think it is pretty fun. (Also for anyone viewing this comment, put your phone on airplane mode and you won’t get any ads popping up at all the only downside is you can’t play online.).TheDragonRobotVersion: 1.5.4

✓ Earns money by lyingI’m not gonna lie. I enjoyed this game. The only problem I had is when I purchased the get rid of ads purchase for four dollars I still had to watch ads to open the chests I earned for winning a battle. Mind you the button for this purchase simply states get rid of ads. Also for something to get rid of ads four dollars was a little high but I enjoyed it and I knew I would enjoy it more if I didn’t have to watch ads. Now the only way to progress after buying all the tanks is to open these chests. Also the tanks themselves can easily all be bought within a few hours. With all the content in this game to purchase I would never pay more then 5 dollars if it was a straight up purchase. Which is almost what you pay to get rid of ads. But not all ads because that would be to straight forward and truthful. Not to mention what the game would probably sell for on any other platform other than mobile. ✓ Barrage of ads killed my interest in this gameI initially really enjoyed this game, it brought back a sense of nostalgia as it reminded me of playing Scorched Earth back in the 90s. However the barrage of ads this game subjects you to watch every few seconds completely destroyed my interest in trying to continue playing. Your only options for avoiding the ads is to pay a fee to reduce them (not remove them completely!!!) or to pay a hefty subscription fee which is more expensive than a dedicated MMO. ✓ Don’t botherThis game is a nonsense, particularly the balancing of the tank abilities and the online matchmaking. Some tanks have abilities that can one shot other players, so sometimes I will play online PvP and not even get a turn because I get insta-killed. Sometimes I just spawn in and die straightaway because of the awful, laggy servers which can’t maintain a connection. And the matchmaking against opponents is so stupid, I can be in a brand new tank on its lowest level and get matched with someone using a fully maxed out tank that will kill me in 1/2 hits. It is a boring, money hungry and borderline pay-to-win game. I also purchased 1 weeks diamond subscription so I could unlock the blazer tank however it didn’t unlock the blazer tank and I didn’t receive ANY rewards advertised with the membership..... ✓ Good simple game, too many adverts!The game is highly addictive. Simple in its design and easy to grasp. Resembles worms from back in the day. There are some issues however. One of these is the connection. With full 4g, players tend to glitch across the screen rather than motor across it smoothly. Another issue is that if the other player times out then the game just freezes forcing you to end the match. Another serious issue with the game is just how many ads are in it. For just 30 seconds of game play, you’re more than likely going to pay for it with a minute of adverts. I understand game developers need funds to provide the games we play but this seriously takes the biscuit. I also have a question for the developer. ✓ Ads crazy - Major set backNever written a review before but I felt for this game I had to as I was so let down! Would I recommend this game? No. The ads are the game are just too much. I hadn’t played for months and decided to get back into it again (I still had it installed, I never deleted it) and I lost all the tanks. The weird part is: the tanks are coloured in as if I own them, when I unlock them I have all my upgrades, and I can even see that the health is upgraded to gold even though it won’t let me play them. Is there anyway to fix this? I’m completely fine with ads and understand that they are needed sometimes, however some ads that pop up are un closeable (at least on certain devices) I’m currently on an iPad. ✓ Really fun game, but very 2 dimensional (not literally)This game would be better if there was more than just player vs player. Maybe more tournaments, a line of battles maybe? It just becomes really repetitive over time. Also, allowing users to switch between tanks during tournament battles may be a more user friendly approach. Also. There needs to be more description behind what users are buying. I have bought tanks that I regret buying because I find out tanks like the frost tank are a million times superior to the Atom tank. You could start by listing the attacks and a description of what they do. As well as maybe introducing a system of damage points which allow users to gauge how much damage each rank deals and its most effective way of dealing it. Rather than just buying a tank and hoping for the best. Lastly, there need to be more incentive to buy more than 6 tanks. I want to buy more tanks but I don’t see a reason to waste my money. So it’s a good and fun game with good abilities for the tanks and graphics and it’s everything it needs to be as a good game. After 30 seconds the ad has finished, the exit X won’t work. This is especially annoying when you watched an add for a loot chest and lose it because you have to restart the app). - not exactly a glitch, but the game is subject to frequent crashing. Prior to writing my own, I have found from other peoples reviews that the major concern is the simple gameplay, but thats not my problem at all. I think the simple, fast-paced gameplay and three game modes are all you need in a game like this... The game also often crashes during and immediately after a game, deleting the entire battles progress. Multiplayer is also annoying. When you play this game with the wifi off, it runs very well, although all the online features are removed. There are many ads that will keep popping up on the screen, and always in 3 different spots. 1, whenever you finish a match, which is extremely obnoxious as you probably spend more time overall watching ads than actually playing, 2, once the ad is over from finishing the match, there is another one waiting for you when you want to open the chest you earned, 3, when you want to open a free chest in the store. So here is me thinking that buying the £3.99 NO ADS option would be bliss, thinking that it would remove all three occasions where they force you to watch ads, BUT NO, they will only remove the 1st option. Considering the in-app purchase stated NO ADS, I feel like I have just been scammed out of my money entirely and this has now completely put me off this game. Overall, do not waste your time playing this game, as nice as the graphics do look, you probably spend more time watching ads than actually playing and when attempting to remove ads through buying the NO ADS option, you will just end up being scammed out of your money, so don’t bother wasting any money on this game. Either my health gets completely depleted and the other person wins if a i join a game even if i shirt rhe first shot! I will be fighting a level 1 bronze frist while im silver level two with multiple upgrades he will hit me once and take away half of my health with the exact same weapon i just used where as i will barely even damage him. Getting ads when your tank is hit or directly after a round ends significantly disrupts gameplay, but I guess nagware is what you’re going for. You don’t get the chance to see your tank’s damage nor enjoy your victory before you’re whisked away to an ad. I even got an ad after skimming the terms of service! If you really need that many ads then take a look at reducing your costs. The weapons could use descriptions and it’s unclear how much ammo you have. I didn’t even realize there were ammo counts until I ran out. I thought those were upgrade points or unlock values? One big thing they do get right is field of view. Your tank and the enemy tank will both be visible when you’re attacking (except if you’re low in the ground center screen, then you’re hidden by an ingame ad). That’s my first of three complaints. There is barely anything to do. After I play the tournament I can only play basic games and get bored. One thing that would be great would be to allow the player to access the tournament battles at all times instead of having us wait for however many hours it does. I don’t enjoy the 50 million ads played and I’m definitely not going to pay the company to remove the ads. Company recently pushed a new update claiming that the bugs have been fixed. Only bugs I have noticed is that with all of the unnecessary ads, I have had all too often after playing a match (particularly a multiplayer match) that if you play for a while like I do, it will freeze up often times causing you to lose rewards that you have won and there is no getting them back unless you go back in to play the same thing again. ✓ Bugs that need smashedI don’t like that it lets me buy cards for weapons I already have maxed out. The cards stoped all together once all my tanks were max level even though the weapons are not. The Spector tank lightning ball shoots over it’s shown arc. The lightning ball and other shots go through the tanks without hitting them when most stop on the tank. The tanks will slip and waste gas at random even though they are able to climb vertical walls. The tanks can fall through the map and will no longer shoot or move. Some shots will also fall through the map. The initial shown arc path may not be where it will shoot if not adjusted after being moved by an enemy shot. I didn’t like when it was moving the tank selector to show me I could buy a new one, luckily it stopped after I bought one. The “fuel has ended” is the dumbest thing. I wish to be able to turn off the voices without turning off the sound effects. Too many ads, and that’s way too common now. I hate the ads the show up when I idle on the main screen for too long. ✓ The simple truthOk, here’s the deal. It’s a great looking game and the play itself is polished and fun. However, as an experiment I decided to spend around £10 on in app purchases to examine the true value of the game. The result after a week of playing is the realisation that the interface complexity of Tank Stars is surrounding the way in which you upgrade your tank and the weapons within your tank. The ENTIRE premise of the game is to extract cash from you because the game itself has no goal. No computer leagues, no ever increasingly tougher opponents, no World Cup, nothing. Just a random you v computer option, you v a mate, a lame 3 game tournament and then the you v online player. And let me tell you, don’t even bother with you v online player unless you got serious paper buy upgrades. BUT!!! And here’s the kicker. For the three game tournament you need 6 tanks and even if you spent £100 on in app coins and gems you still can’t even control which of your tanks get the upgrade cards that you want. It’s random. So each tank has 6 weapons + the tank upgrade and so with 6 tanks the odds on you getting an upgrade for the tank you want is 1 in 42. In order to get upgrades you need chests and it takes gems to buy chests but whilst the chests give you upgrades you still need coins to activate the upgrades. This also resets the current fight that you were in. Not overly game breaking but when you take into account that the medium tournament throws three spectres at you, it gets irritating very quickly. It’s gotten worse in the past few days where it’s pretty much impossible to complete the second and third tournament. Also, the quests seem to reset as well sometimes. ✓ Great game at first but less longevityI enjoyed this game thoroughly until I started to make real progress in the game. As other players have noted, some moves are extremely one sided, inflicting vastly more damage than other moves (the frost tank especially has the move frostbite which seems to kill anything in one hit, making online play very boring whenever you face an opponent with that tank) During online play the game glitches out and won’t track your movements accurately, moving you back but still using fuel so you essentially can sometimes only advance with a quarter tank of fuel. It also randomly causes moves to not register damage. ✓ Good but needs some workThis game is super fun and I found myself falling in love with its quick easy gameplay from the very start, but it needs some work. Firstly it needs more tanks you only get 6 tanks (without paying for the kinda crappy reskin) and as fun and diverse as the selection is it needs more variety. Secondly the multiplayer is kinda clunky a lot of the time the movement system is all wack teleporting you and your enemies to random spots on the map sometimes helpful, like getting you out of fire or ice, and sometimes super annoying like, putting you in range of your enemy, into fire/ice, or back to where you started your turn. Thirdly holy crap Frost needs to be nerfed or fixed because in PvP you play him shoot your enemy with one of your ice abilities and then you win cause they can’t move for the rest of the game. Finally the loot crates need to be toned down or made to drop less often because it come down to who gets the first crate a lot of the time in both PvP and PvAI (another reason Frost is so good in PvP). Also, a lot of the times when I play against others (P2P) the game ends all of a sudden, citing internet issues. This can happen as a new game starts or during gameplay, it’s pretty frustrating! There are no penalties for ending a P2P game early, nor are there any gamification elements or additional rewards for tricky shots etc. There are also delays and inconsistencies around damage caused (e.g. a newbie shouldn’t be able to wipe out 90% of a top-level tank with one shot!). Also, wiping out a high-level tank gives you the same reward as a low-level one. It would be fairer if you earned more if you took out a higher-ranking tank. As I’ve maxed out on all tank upgrades I can often not win the “crate of the day” for reaching all goals. But then again I wouldn’t be able to open that crate anyway.. The subscription options are crazy expensive so I can’t comment on those, other than to question their worth! All in all it’s a fun little game with entertaining sound effects. Content is just not here, there’s a few tanks to unlock but that’s it. There’s no variation in battle maps, it’s just grassy hills. To add insult to injury here, many of the ads are quite long and require you to participate in their mini game and some even force audio elements even when you have sound turned off. ✓ Fun game, lots of bugsI have a lot of fun playing this game. However, many times, at the beginning of the battle, my tank, or the opponent’s tank explodes for no reason and the battle is over. Other issues: - the screen goes black at the beginning of a video, after which a treasure chest is supposed to be awarded. The only way to get out is restart the app. - in multiplayer battles each player has 30 seconds to fire a shot. Sometimes the opponent times out, then nothing happens. I waited several minutes, just for curiosity, and nothing happened. I had to exit the battle and return to the main menu. - Can’t figure out how to get an ID. When I do multiplayer game, I appear as “Unknown”. Eventually I will figure it out, but this should be intuitive, not head scratching. - At the beginning of a battle, the tanks are randomly position, I assume. However, many times, one of the players has a clear positioning advantage. For instance, is placed at the top of a hill, and the other tank all the way down, giving the higher tank a way better trajectory, and the opportunity of a one shot kill, and depriving the lower tank of the chance to even counter attack. Very frustrating. - In order to get extra gems, you can do certain trials, like install games, enroll into some online services, etc. I did that several times, completed the task, but never got the gems. ✓ Quit Fixing Stuff that is less important to fixThis game has a lot more players that would love to play this game but don’t because of 2 reasons truly. One, once they PAY to get rid of ADS you still need to watch an AD to get the reward you deserve after a win. You can fix this easily by making it so that you only need to watch an AD to get a reward after you lose or if you have not PAID any cash to get rid of ADS! ✓ Beginning to H A T E it.Adds. The cursed ADDS. I could just be sitting in the car using my headphones and then I finish a game and instantly get earraped. By the ADDs! I can mute my phone and listen to my podcasts. But these adds still play and then get rid of my podcast tab. And these adds are lies. They aren’t actually representations of the advertised game. It infuriates me. I play music during the add and the add ends my music and plays the cursed add when I have my phone on mute. Why must you do this? And recently I’ve had to loosen my wallet a bit. So when I bought the “NO ADDS” IAP TWICE. I still got bad adds. It charged me 3.99 AND IT DIDN’T EVEN GO THROUGH. MY GOD ITS DRIVING ME ABSOLUTELY INSANE. So, y’all charged me in a “scam”? ✓ MehIt’s an ok game but flawed. First off: ADPPCALYPSE. You get ads: when you win, when you lose, when you open a chest, and even occasionally before a game. Secondly, the fact that there’s tanks with gimmicks like the ice tank who only gets used because it can freeze others just enough to beat on them till they die. It’s so weak it requires enhanced attributes to even kill an enemy. Then there’s things like the crystal shot that unless it’s way way out in front doesn’t affect an enemy yet still blows the ground under them when it’s on them. Finally, the paltry rewards system. Winning a match gets 200 coins after the ad spam; it costs 3500 for a routine tank lv up. It would take 18 games to even try for that plus the other upgrades you’re bound to have waiting including for ammo which becomes essential to chip away at high tanks health with its extra hits. For example to start, the tank with the area explosion rounds fires 1 shot that scatters; at 3-4 stars it fires 3 shots that tears the field to shreds but almost always misses the tank it’s surrounding..Rifle lordVersion: 1.4.3
