✓ No manual, no bass soundWithout a manual I’ve listened to piano chords since I bought it. Doug didn’t help much so I deleted the program. Hopefully there will be some type of manual in the future.Version: 1.03
✓ Almost thereI bought iBassist to work with the jazz drummer app, and although it sounds great, it doesn’t do sharps or flats so really doesn’t do jazz or walking bass lines. I should have done more research before purchasing it..Version: 1.14

✓ DisappointingI love the idea of this app but the most basic editing functions are so onerous that all my creative energy goes into trying to make the damn thing work..Version: 1.07
✓ Does not syncThe app will play happily on its own in AUM, but will not sync with any of Soft, Funk or MidEast Drummer- the ‘make drums’ command does nothing, and even matching the tempos and the AUM transport cannot sync it. I’ve even tried deleting and reinstalling, but no joy. Was considering Jazz Drummer too, but if its USP is that it syncs with iBassist then I’ll give it a miss. Already down one lot of £18 for something that does not work as advertised- but at least deleting it again will get me the 1.1gB back. I would, of course, be happy for the developer to prove me wrong....Version: 1.07
✓ Quits quit oftenI love the lumbeat drum apps, and thought this would be a fun Jam setup. When it works, it’s okay, but crashes about every five minutes when I’m exploring. Fussy little thing….Version: 1.14

✓ Midi clockIf this app had midi clock like funk Drummer and rock drum this would be perfect I sync funk Drummer with cubasis and there work perfect so can you please incorporate midi clock with iBassist.Version: 1.03

✓ Needs to be updated. pretty useless as it is.I suppose if you want to use it standalone it’s ok but not any use in a DAW as it doesn’t sync with anything. MIDI in and out doesn’t work..Version: 1.14
✓ Need note control of samplesThe samples are so cool. I can’t use it as a simple tone module though. Is that a feature that could be added ? It’d be nice to be able to run these samples inter app. Via standard note control and just of the chord progressions..Version: 1.04
✓ IBassistThis I thought was well designed but the user / instructions are basically none existent. I have a midi piano with Irig midi2 working on an iPad Pro ,with the bassist app,and I cannot get the base to follow the chords or even the lower note of the chord,when using midi out of the piano to midi in of the Irig2 connected to the lightening connector. I have set the midi in bassist to the appropriate detection channel,but still does not work. I have waisted £17.99.Would have been better if I had given the money to a charity Trafford Reeder.Version: 1.04
✓ Crashes iPad 6th gen os12 when in song modeI guess the developers did program this thing to have a mind of its own, but it does weird stuff and crashes my iPad in song mode. Nice idea, but buggy. I love the drummer apps (but they don’t always play nice with other midi) but this one is so buggy it detracts from a great idea. I’d have given it 5 stars prior to attempting to use song mode. A shame it behaves so unpredictability. Hopefully it will be improved..Version: 1.03

✓ Constant crashes and no manual?Crashes constantly on iPad with iOS 13. Using random pattern button causes crashes. Crashes in aum. AUM confirmed it was not a problem with AUM. Worst of all, no manual? How can you release a complicated app without a manual? Most of the bass sounds are terrible. The only usable preset was double bass. The played progressions don’t make sense and sound awful. Soft drummer app has the same problem with constant crashes. If this was $3 not a big deal, but $30 for this level of bugs? Will not buy anything from this dev again. Sent in at least 5 but reports and got no response to any of them..Version: 1.12

✓ App shuts down after start up screenI have an iPad Pro and was really looking forward to this app, as I enjoy many of this developer’s fine apps. I have the latest iOS and app update, and have even reinstalled it and to no avail, it worked for a few days and then every time I try opening the app, it shuts down right after startup screen. What is going on with this? Otherwise, when it worked, it was very cool..Version: 1.02

✓ DisconcertingA novel beginning yet remains unpolished NO AUDIOBUS. WHY. OFFERS CHORD PROGRESSION BUT ONLY 10 VARIATIONS...FAR TOO FEW FOR ANY SERIOUS MUSICIAN. THUS LOTS OF WASTED TIME SPENT TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO OPERATE THE APP.
