✓ Addictive but ad riddledThis is a very enjoyable game but would be better with less ads. I understand these games make revenue on the amount of ads that are shown on the game but to have one after every catch is killing the game for me. I don’t mind watching ads when it comes to doubling or tripling my catch but every catch and the ads are the same length as those you watch to triple your catch is ridiculous. Come on guys, make the game usable and cut down on the amount of ads..Version: 1.1.0

✓ TRossonOk I am only giving this game a 1 star rating simply because every time I try to play it I get to fish one time then this ad for a Jurassic Park game pops up, it has a count down from 5 in the upper left hand corner then after the count down an X shows up, and when I touch the X it goes to another ad of some sort and asks me if I want to cancel or open the app, I touch the cancel option then touch the word Go Fish at the top left hand corner if the screen then it just goes right back to the Jurassic Park game option, no matter how many times I touch that X the same thing happens and I am never sent back to my finagling game!!!i exit the go fish game app and have to stay exited for several hours before the actual game comes on instead if that Jurassic Park game Ad!! I have even deleted the game and reinstalled it, I did get a few different ads once and each of them worked like they are suppose to and ?&took me right back to my game when the X showed up after the ad finished counting down. ✓ Please stop developerThis is a game i saw in an ad in another game. It looked really cool so i got it. Within seconds of starting the game i had to watch multiple ads to do anything. Annoying but lets move on. So now i go to catch some fish. The line comes up and it asks “do you want to claim or watch an ad to double it” so i hit claim as im already annoyed about the ads from before. WHAT! I hit claim and another ad pops up and i dont even get doubled. I think maybe its a glitch or something so i try again. Wouldn't ya know it ads again. So within 2-3 minutes of playing you have officially made it so i wont play your game. This ad stuff has got to be a side thing, not how your app functions. I tend to pay for the ad removal on games if they are a good game. But the way you implemented ads put me off so badly i refuse to give you any money. Remove the adds or change how they work. For example make it so you can choose to watch ads to boost your catches by a certain amount. Do like ad 1 adds .2, ad 2 adds .2 =1.4 total. Be creative..Version: 1.1.1

✓ It’s better not to playIve had this game for several weeks now, there are lots of complaints about adverts but to be fair, put your phone on flight mode and it works fine. I’m now at the stage that going fishing once I’ll hook about £4 million worth of fish which sounds great right? Well to upgrade my depth once will cost me £16,000,000,000,000 yes that’s 12 0s! I did the maths: at one minute per go, earning £4m per catch it would take...... 6 and a half years to make enough money to upgrade again!!! Instead you can upgrade your offline earnings so every day you make enough to upgrade once or twice just by logging in. As it turns out, you make better progress with this game if you don’t play it!!! I’ve found myself logging in, buying the upgrades then logging out again. What’s the point? I’m all for a game that gets harder the more you play but this is ridiculous! So if you want to fish for the sake of fishing, fine, the mechanics work ok, it is fun at the start. But if you want a game you can actually progress at by playing, this is not for you!.Version: 1.1.9
✓ Okay game but definitely cheats you out of rewardsThis game is decent but it has glitched out a lot. Several times it took my fish bag up randomly (when I was nowhere near the top) before it was full. You also have to deal with ads after every single game, which wouldn't be so bad because you can click to watch an add to double your rewards but that button is very often conveniently disabled so instead of watching an ad for double the rewards you just have to watch the ads. I've also noticed that there is a direct correlation between this glitch increasing in frequency and the higher level/profit I get. It is a free game so do what you want but don't buy anything it is trying to sell you in-game. It also has glitched out a couple of times which ended in me not getting the rewards or making me watch multiple ads instead of one. TLDR: it's free so try it if you want but it's definitely trying to manipulate you to watch as many ads as possible while cheating you out of rewards it's promised in return for watching them. It also only puts the highest reviews on top and doesn't make the negative reviews easily available..Version: 1.2.2
✓ Fun but...I have been playing this game for a bit and it has been addicting. The ads are very much overkill as others have mentioned but there is more that I think should be changed. As you play the game, you see that the more you invest in offline earnings, the better it is if you are trying to go deeper with your fishing pole. The problem is that waiting offline is more efficient than playing the actual game. Because of this, you finish the game within about two weeks and you run out of new fish to get, which is a problem because it’s one of the driving factors of the game getting new fish. So now you’re making next to nothing compared to the costs of the upgrades every time you fish and you only play so much before you get annoyed with the ads and close out of the game..Version: 1.3.5

✓ This game is so addicting but the ads are overboardListen, this game is one of the best and most addictive games i’ve ever played, but the ads! come on! really? i understand the producers need to make money off of ads but maybe a little less? every time it asks me to double or sometimes triple my money by watching an ad or not and just claim the money with NO. ✓ Fantastic game corrupted by adsTl;dr: The game is great, but too many ads and too expensive to remove them Every freemium game is going to have ads and microtransactions, it’s just a part of the business; many people choose not to spend money and advertisements are the only way to stay afloat, it’s understandable. However, Go Fish! takes it a little too far. In a game where play consists of short 5-6 second rounds, ads should be used sparingly due to the frequency of rounds in and average session. Every 2-3 rounds, the player is bombarded by 30-second ads. Considering the average round time and frequency between ads, the time spend playing is about equal to time spent watching ads. After my first few minutes of playing, I wanted to remove ads, so I thought I could pay an easy $.99 and resume unlimited play. However, because the advertiser blood money wasn’t enough for these devs, I would be forced to pay a comparatively ridiculous $3.99 just to play the game without being bothered by ads every 2 games. The game devs must either lessen ad frequency or lower the cost of removal, then I could wholeheartedly recommend this game..Version: 1.0.3

The only trouble is that you have to play it with the internet off to actually keep going, otherwise after every round you get a 30-second advert. ✓ Don’t pay for thisSo I just “beat” the game, as in I collected all the fish. Can’t say it was worth it, or even fun along the way. They have a thing you can buy that’s almost $8. ✓ Too many adsSadly this game, like many others, has way too many ads. Look - ads are fine. We got the game for free, and you still need to get money somehow - but this is rediculous. After every try, you get the option to “claim” or “double” your earnings. To double, you need to watch an ad. Fair enough - very fair, in my opinion. However, if you just claim 90% of the time, you’ll realise pretty much every second try, it’ll show you an ad no matter whether you chose “claim” or “double”. On top of that, sometimes if you want to upgrade a specific thing, either net size or depth, it’ll hold it behind an ad. So I’ll just chose not to upgrade that round instead. If. I. Wanted. The. Ad. I. Would. Have. Chosen. Double. These infectious, annoying ads mean I have to disable the internet completely to get anything done. And then! If you disable internet, and don’t get interrupted, you realise very quickly how shallow and not really fun this game is. It basically relies on the fact that if it shows you adverts and interrupts the game, so it’ll feel slower and you’ll want to get back to the game, so it can show more ads. Literally after EVERY single “fish” you are forced to watch at least 10 seconds of advert. And yes, I know, it encourages people to donate toward the game by making it ad free, but a free game is NOT a free game if you have to pay for certain aspects within it. ✓ Alright but could be betterI’ll start off with saying this is a fun game for a while I really enjoyed t for the time I spent on it. Though there are a few problems I’d like to point out. ✓ Wait? Where’s my money?Now, the reason I put 4 starts is because of this response—- This game is awesome with tones of people joining everyday! But it’s just another hook on. At first when you enter the game, you are greeted to fish after some big money rewards, ads start rolling in. At first they are only at the bottom. But then it gets worse. When ever you catch a batch of fish and you collect you money an ad pops up and you haft to watch the video just to earn money that you fished for. This happens every time no matter what. So I turned off my WiFi. And I could fish peacefully without ads bothering me. But after a while you realize, that your not earning any money from each batch you grab. The game works off of ads, the only way you are making money off of fish is watching ads. You haft to watch an ad to actually get currency. If the game was not like this it would be a lot more fun. There are many reviews on here and I know there are because I read most of them, that advertisements are a very big problem because whenever I click on the app, I get excited to see how many coins I have earned, but as I start to play, I begin to roll my eyes as I know for a fact there is going to be a 30 second advertisement, which is ruining the whole game, as when I click on it I don’t think of the cool fish I’m going to catch, I’m annoyed as most of the time you are not actually playing the game, you are watching advertisements. I know you need to put in advertisements to promote games and to make money off of it, that I do respect and understand, but there is always a limit to how many advertisements you put in, this is too many and I speak for many others too. ✓ Ads and moneyHey it's Llamawho? Here and I am complaining about how many ads and how much money you get. Say I like got 925 money from catching maybe 10 fish, how am I supposed to spend that? Also the money gets up like really high into the millions and it's so hard to get all of it because you can only have the amount to 50 fish at a time that's the highest amount. I personally think you should put up to at least 100 or something because then you can go really deep. Also there are so many adverts. Come on! And they're the same as every time! This game can be addictive but it can also get really really hard. When do you update? I got this at least maybe six months ago and it hasn't had an update! When the money gets really high it's quite hard to fish that much because like I love going down really deep and finding new fish but then to go down deep it cost me at least 1 million of those fishy coin things. Also I think you should try and have different skins because right now it's just a plain old boring fisherman and then VIP you get a pirate but that cost money and it's just annoying. ✓ Basic design is good but disappointing overallCore gameplay is cute and fun. Game has no depth (pun intended). The different fish have no description other than name, there is no customization, and no real strategy of any kind. This would be forgiveable since mobile games don’t usually offer depth but the gameplay is destroyed by ads. Even paying out of normal ads, you can still choose to watch an ad to double or triple the value of your catch and sometimes earn a free upgrade. The latter is extremely problematic. Except… you don’t. Update claimed to be “bug fixes and improvements” but only made the game worse. After downloading though, I quickly noticed you spend more time watching ads than playing the game. If I wanted to watch commercials I’d just turn on my tv. The ability to watch an ad to double or triple your cast earnings is great but making them watch an ad even if they didn’t want to double (and not giving them the double) is just wrong. ✓ These ads are unbearableI understand that this app is growing extremely fast right now and advertisements at this current point in the games popularity is a smart decision. Some people can’t afford to spare $5.50 on the removal of ads, but still really want to enjoy this game, I play this quite often but I’m receiving an ad after literally every single at this point... I really want to continue playing this game, but I really don’t want to spend more time watching ads then actually focusing on the objective of the game. My suggestions would be either a) lower the frequency of ads, so maybe every 3-5 games instead of every game, or b) lower the cost for the removal of ads..Version: 1.1.3

✓ Fun game but TOO MANY ADS!This game has a fun concept and a lot of opportunities to collect more money such as offline earnings. The concept is good and it really is a fun game to play when bored! However after the beginning of playing it gets tiring having to watch an ad after *EVERY* game and honestly it’s wasting time! I spend more time watching ads ,that are in no way relevant to my preferences anyway, then playing the actual game itself! ✓ Addictive, but could be even better...The ads were so annoying that I actually purchased the ad free version. This is the ONLY have I have ever paid for in my many, many years of having an iPhone. It’s fun and addictive, but I really wish they kept track of high scores. I mentally keep track of my high score so I have a goal to beat, which keeps me playing. I love the graphics and the design is great, but it is very hard to see how much fish are worth while catching them, and unfortunately the “trophy room” does not indicate how much each is worth. In the game you earn money for fish, and you can buy depth and a bigger net with the money. However, the $ is so inflated that it easily becomes impossible to pay for them. The only option is to watch an ad. Even though I paid for no ads?? It'd be nice if the depth and net increased the higher your high score is. ✓ Stop with the ads!!!!Before i say what i entitled this to be about, i do want to say this is a very fun game, good mechanics, very addicting and good to play when youre bored and sitting around the house. ok, so lets address the elephant in the room- the ads. there are so many ads i just get sick of them. a lot of games can offer to double rewards and stuff like that and sometimes ill do it if i want more coins, points, etc, but if i say i dont want to watch an ad, I DONT WANT TO WATCH AN AD. seriously, it happens every time! ✓ Great, but kind of scummy businessSo, let me start out by saying that the game is fun. Great time waster and easy to get started. It has ads that constantly pop up, but what game doesn’t have those these days? My issue is after you “buy” the game for $3.99 which is supposed to get rid of ads. It definitely gets rid of the ones that pop up and interrupt gameplay, but you still get ads on the boat screen where you upgrade you net size and stuff. Instead of auto-playing, they just hang out in the top left corner. Also, once you progress far enough in the game, the prices to upgrade net size or to go deeper ramps WAY up, but the developers still give you then chance to watch an ad to upgrade those without spending in-game money. It would basically be impossible to upgrade the depth past 500m without watching ads since it’s costs about $13,000,000 to upgrade past there. I just wish my $3.99 felt more worth it rather than them taking my money and basically forcing me to watch ads that they make money off of me watching..Version: 1.1.3
