✓ Happy Yet DisappointedMy son and I are awfully disappointed in the performance of this app when it comes to the iPad. We don’t even get a chance to upload an “I’d” car before it instantly shows an error message. He loves the game and the interaction between the track and the “one of a kind” cars but unfortunately he can’t get to even use his special $5 cars. I’m more than happy with the app on my phone. The cars upload quickly and it's a blast. But the tablets just are not working. We’ve tried multiple cars on two different iPads(one is a year old and the other is not even a year old) and we aren’t trying to upload the same car on multiple devices either. Maybe the developers will have an answer and/or a fix here soon. I’ll be happy to change my rating once he can actually fully use his investment. I don’t agree with the reports of overly sensitive controls. I’ve had no trouble. Think “tap tap tap” instead of “mash mash”. I’ve had so much fun, I went to the store and bought more of the ID cars. ✓ Fun with caveatsI’m an adult collector of Hotwheels, and generally love the whole experience. However, there really needs to be an account system that can be used across devices. I scan my cars with my phone, use them there, but don’t have access to anything on my iPad. Because of this, I am reticent about buying the portal. Either path you take kind of locks you out of the other side when a fairly simple account system tracking vehicles and stats could be created. I am also a little sad that the cars do not function more like Amiibo and let you save back the stats to the car, but I understand the cost involved would likely price them out of the market. Still, hotwheels nintendo games with these cars wouldn’t hurt ;)..Version: 1.5.0

✓ *lobby music plays for 10 hours*I picked up one of these hot wheel id cars, and I downloaded the game and liked it. The game is pretty good, other than the juice mechanic. I was getting addicted to this game but had to wait 49 minutes for one of my cars to refuel. I logged in the app again and saw the usual “Mattel” logo in the start of loading the app. It then transitioned into the words Hot Wheels ID with an Orange background. The regular music was playing, but it wouldn’t load. It kept on playing the song over and over again, still on the Hot Wheels ID loading screen. It does not load, and I’ve tried shutting down my phone, seeing if the app needed an update, and clearing cashe. I loaded in the app again, but was met with the same problem. Does anyone else have this problem? It’s really annoying and I want to play the game again but I can’t with the problem that I have..Version: 3.1.0

One thing that would make this game better is to add a pause button! ✓ Great game!I love this game, even though I don’t have any hot wheels ID cars in real life. It has great graphics and I think it is also a really fun idea to be able to level up real life cars in a digital game. However when I was playing the game, I was at chapter 8 in the S-class series and I completed level 4 multiple times, also beating the other car, yet I couldn’t go on to the next level in that series. I don’t think it is a problem with the device as I have a very new model of phone, so I thought it might be a bug that needs to be fixed, just letting everyone know, haven’t had any other problems, a great game overall. ✓ Awesome Game!I enjoy playing this game almost a much as I enjoy playing Need For Speed No Limits as far as mobile games go, even though you have to buy some special track or something to play the other stuff or the Car-Blueprint system, which I very much dislike, I think aside from that I really like this game. One feature that i enjoy is the hot wheels scan thing, so if your out hunting for hot wheels and you find an I’d car then you get a free car, but if you find the chase/ Treasure hunt like i did then it’s pretty much worth buying anyways because it’s a treasure hunt/ chase car. The only other complaint I have about this game is the handling, I know it’s on a track I would still prefer a like swipe down to drift system instead of turn to drift. Update , bought the portal and then the upgrade track , endless issues but still working with mattel , track drop outs , app not auto populating the track lay out, found to be a fitment issue with portal and booster , might be wise to buy the full kit , don’t know , waiting for replacement parts to a brand new set , so 200$ and 2 months now I finally find the answer to a bug in the game , tried to contact Mattel about it , told to email .... so here I am last resort to get info to developer , in the app , a mission or challenge is the smart track inventor , so if you follow the path , home , track , challenge zone , as stated , go thru the build and race but no credit , there’s the problem , misprint , or misguided address , if you start from home , track , smart track free play , continue , continue , race. , now if the portal at least sees the car it will credit 1 point , ok good , at least we got a work around . ✓ Not enough tracks!Honestly, I think that just having city is boring, especially since it’s always the same track over and over. I think you should have more modes that u don’t need the smart track in bec the smart track cost a lot. I think there should also be more ways to earn season cars then just buying them. Glitching our 24/7 has been a problem ever since I updated this. I don’t have any other S class drift cars other than the Tesla, and tha vehicle is hard to lvl up because the rewards are too low. I also don’t have the ID car, so I only have a little juice. I KEEP LAGGING OUT, CAUSING ME TO LOSE JUICE! Make it so that if it notices you aren’t on when the race starts, it will automatically forfeit and keep the juice you already had. I own well over a hundred hot wheels in the physical world. ✓ Bug in the in-app storeI don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but there seems to be a bug in the in-app store. Every time I use the id currency (the orange squares not the tires) to buy blueprints the button turns grey and say “store busy” and does not give me the blueprints I purchased. It also does not use my currency either (which is nice). The stores then resets with all news car blueprints to purchase. When I buy one of those it does the same thing. ✓ About The Physical Hot Wheels id Cars...While in Target, I saw these Hot Wheels “id” cars. Looked cool, bought them, got the app. But it wasn’t what I was expecting. I don’t know what I was expecting, but not this. I like the concept on paper, but when put into action, it’s ok. You buy the id cars ($5.99 each) and connect them to your phone, to play with them in the game. The price is great, because the cars themselves are very nice, and come in a very nice box. But there’s not much to do in the game. The game itself is very fun, very polished and the graphics are great. Not to mention, I love the controls. ✓ This app is phenomenalThere is only one word to describe this app. It is just absolutely phenomenal! :D I love that you can start with a higher PR if you use a hot wheels Id car in the city races witch is an amazing feature. You may think that this review is an over exaggeration but it is not, I mean all of this! :) One thing that I think should be added is that in the city racing if you have more than one none hot wheel Id cars they have then same PR level. Plus it is soooooooo clever how you can connect your device to the portal piece and it tells you how fast the car went. ✓ Great game, but...Been playing and collecting for a few months now and it’s a great game - lots of fun and reasons to keep coming back! The “rubber banding” has always been a strong influence for the opponent of this game (only way a power rating 90 opponent can keep up with a PR 2000 ID car?), but since the last update it gets really ridiculous in certain races. Races I’ve been consistently able to win against an opponent of the same PR are now randomly impossible to win, with the opponent screaming out ahead of you without using turbo in the last few seconds of the race and somehow you can’t catch up despite being able to easily catch them earlier even when they had used a turbo... on a perfect run too, no hitting the walls or missed boosts, etc.. Seems like they purposefully unbalanced the power levels, maybe so gamers didn’t get used to winning all the time? Still a fun game, but it’s becoming frustrating, especially in the Valentine’s Day pack when you play opportunity is limited by the amount of “juice” your car has, to have a noticeable lead on your opponent only for them to cruise ahead and beat you like it was the easiest thing in the world..Version: 3.1.0

Example 1 went to the in game store thought I was purchasing upgrades for my Charger. Nope bought a whole additional digital version of a The Charger the I didn’t need and will never use. Uber cool. Example 2 need an id class street beast to compete in a certain set of races, have a digital street beast I was awarded in game that is not an option because it’s not id class I’m guessing. Now so into it I am collecting all the cars and just a couple short from having them all other than the new season 2 cars. Now with collecting them all myself I have doubles in my garage. Would like my id car number to say the 50 some cars I have out of 69 available. He scanned some back in his garage and they still show up in mine highlighted but not useable and some he has not scanned back in so I have doubles. Also, I have about 200 of your dicast and it looks like I can’t scan them, because it is not an id product. ✓ Finally... Digital Hot Wheels!Great game and lots of fun. My cars arrived today and I successfully scanned them. I read a few reviews where folks where having issues. To be honest, the first one took me a few minutes as I wasn’t sure exactly how to do it. For those reading this, and have an iPhone; tap the car underneath the top of the phone like you would when using your phone at a merchant that accepts NFC payments. Once I figured it out, simple and smooth for the rest of my cars. One comment to the developers; I already started using the app before my cars arrived. I unlocked my Tesla Id car, and I noticed that I now have two of them in my garage. Feedback: for cars scanned in should match up to the cars in my garage that have been unlocked and sync the car information. I will never use the non id car after I get one that is physical. I really don’t want to loose my racing stats. There should be an option to sync and merge the car..Version: 1.2.5
✓ Hot wheels still rocks!Jus bought some new cars today for the hot wheels I’d collection for my son and I and could have be more pleased with them! Literally downloaded the hot wheels I’d app at the store and got to race once and won! My son instantly started racing after and has already unlocked a car. All I can say is get it all. ✓ Worth the Money!Heck yeah! With Season Two already coming out with new cars, I feel like I can’t get enough of it! Love the fact that Hot Wheels came out with Chase cars, (gives me something to look out for) alongside the regular cars. The portal is so great, too! With two exclusive cars, and the portal itself, you can take all of your old track that you never play with and hook it up to the portal, which lets you track your speed and even play mini games! ✓ Stolen CarsI am a 53yr Hot Wheel lover and collector. Found some Id cars in a flea market in Albuquerque NM and decided to give progress a try and downloaded the app. and the whole concept is fantastic. I love it, however, when returning home to Colorado Springs we went by a few Walmart’s in Pueblo and I brought 2 more Id cars one of which, when scanned, had miles already on it races and all. Walmart had sold me a stolen/used car. I guess people are STEALING the digital copies in the stores by scanning the codes. This is discouraging. Hope Hot Wheels finds a way to stop these thieves. However, I do like being able to scan the card/box without opening it. May move Id cars to electronic section lock boxes..Version: 3.0.0

✓ SuggestionI love this game it is so cool that you can take your hot wheels in you hand and put them right into a video game but... I was thinking it would make the game even better if you added a free roam mode cause I am one of those people that like to do what they want and not do exactly what your told in the game so yea it would be awesome if you added that..Version: 3.0.0
