✓ The app that does the social things for Apple Music!Have you ever come across an artist on Apple Music and you wanted to follow them to get all their releases? Then you realize that Apple Music doesn’t have that feature? Well this is the app for you! MusicHarbor gives you all the social things that Apple Music doesn’t currently have. You can follow artists, you can follow labels (if you upgrade the app) and you can add them to your playlists in Apple Music. ✓ This is the one!One of the apps I've wanted for some years is an app to track music releases - there's been a couple of free apps by other generous devs in the past, but ultimately have proved unsustainable. I'm hoping this one is sustainable and so stays with us! It's beautiful and offers a tiered pricing mode that is fair for basic use, and much preferabie to the current trend of “renting” access. It is quite useful as a free app but to get best use you'll probably want to buy the (one time) in app purchase for filtering by album release type. Those who like to twiddle with themes and settings etc., will find other IAPs to explore, while it is welcome to see that if you have your system set to dark mode, the app will auto apply this without holding it to ransom (a practice that is seemingly, thankfully, being accepted as ill-advised). There are a couple of features I'd like to see (better control / filtering of which artists are added), but otherwise I'm looking forward to using this app!.Version: 4.0.1
✓ Really good*Great interface, I love the idea, and the widgets are awesome. I’ve given it five stars because I do like the app and I don’t want tarnish its rating, but I do have some issues: 1. I have to open to refresh new songs even though the background refresh status says “available”. I guess this is probably at the mercy of iOS choosing when to give it compute time but it’s an annoyance regardless. 2. Most of the releases shown are from random rappers using the same name as artists I actually listen to. I’d love if there was a way to combat this. Thanks for your work, dev-person. ✓ Perfect way to stay on top of new releasesWeb services and apps have come and gone so I’ve had to switch around to different platforms over the years to try and keep a heads up on new releases. Now that I found MusicHarbor I hope it sticks around forever and I never want to switch to anything else. The integration with my library, the ease of parsing down my list of artists to I want to track and the ability to add tracks directly from the app into new or existing playlists is just stellar. But on top of all that, the ability to play previews of music tracks directly in the app is a game changer. It’s the closest thing I’ve had in this digital world now that reminds me of perusing record shops back in the day when you could test listen in the shop. ✓ Frustrated…I really love this app but one thing is leaving me really frustrated when I use it… When I find a track I like and want to add it to the MusicHarbor playlist in Apple Music it puts the whole album in and I have to remove the tracks I don’t want! Can I not just add a separate track from an album to Appear Music? (I’ve purchased all the extra features for this practically perfect music finding app…). I listen to a lot of electronic music, and many of the artists I follow also release weekly or monthly “albums” that are basically just their podcast. I personally don’t want these kind of albums showing up in MusicHarbor… or being added to my MusicHarbor playlist. To me, they’re not actually new releases from those artists. ✓ Love this appI’ve got very broad musical tastes, but these days I don’t have time to follow the release dates of the many artists and labels I love. Thank god for Music Harbor. It absorbs everything you’re into from Spotify or Apple Music and builds you a constantly updated feed of music you care about. Personally I’m only into new albums, as I want to set something playing and leave it to run. This is a godsend as Spotify for example will make you manually sift through all latest releases to find the albums amongst the hundreds of new EPs and singles. You can tell Music Harbor what types of releases you want to be keep informed about. Spotify will only show you a fraction of what’s new. It regularly fails to highlight new stuff from some of my longest standing favourite artists, but Music Harbor never fails. You can add to your Spotify or Apple Music library directly from Music Harbor with one tap - or click, you get it for the Mac too! Oh, and did I mention the home screen widget showing the artwork of the latest releases so you’re never forget to check-in? The developer’s very responsive to suggestions from users which shows, as the app is constantly evolving and improving. If you’re into music, just get it, you won’t be disappointed..Version: 4.3.5

Given that I try to follow the releases of a lot of different artists, it had become very difficult to stay on top of them, and I’d often find out about releases at least a couple weeks after they had already happened, if not later. I have a huge library, but the app tells me that all the artists in my library have already been added. Which they haven’t, since no artists have been added yet. ✓ The best app to keep up with new musicI don’t usually leave reviews but I simply had to cause I’m in love with this app! Been looking for an app to keep track of new music releases and just about everything was broken or abandoned by developer or simply just didn’t work as expected. This app is the one that not only works but it does what it does very well. Designed well and it handles a large music library like mine without much hiccups. ✓ Great app, almost perfect for my usesLove the app. I use a few devices on the same iCloud account and the one feature that would really make this perfect is if the “Played” “Not Played” status of songs/albums were synced between devices. As far as I can tell, only the list of artists is synced via iCloud backup. I would do an IAP for this..Version: 4.6.6
✓ Haptic feedback in the backgroundWhenever the app checks for new music in the background it triggers the haptic feedback that is only supposed to play after you open the app. But in my case the haptic feedback plays even when I’m not using the app after it checks for new music. This problem also sends crash data to my analytics data section in the settings app. Hopefully I explained this properly..Version: 4.2.3

✓ Perfect app to find out about new music from your favorite artistsThis is a great app that makes it easy to follow your favorite bands/artists and find out when they release new songs and music videos. My only gripe is that the notifications feature never notifies me about new releases, even though it’s set up correctly. If that worked, this app would be perfect!.Version: 3.2.6
✓ Ace little appThis app is near perfect at what it does, only two niggles I dislike. 1) Most of my artist photos are hilariously wrong. 2) I'd love to be able to only show albums, my feed is full of singles but I have lite interest in those if they're part of albums.
