✓ Horrible changesIf you were to ask me a few weeks ago, I would have given this game a five star. But I gave a one-star because of the way they made new events. The new Saturday guild clash is the most ignorant event that they could have taken and replaced siege war with. This is a game that used to be fun but now it's like any other turned into a big-money game. If they would change it back to the original way then I would change my star rating but till then, I'm going to keep it a one-star rating. ✓ Disappointed about the mergerI spent over $500 on this game leveling and making my character strong and was in top 5 but then this merger comes and all of a sudden Im back to square one low level and weak against all this new people from different server and in top 25. I can’t even win anymore. Playing guild war and there are guys that are 10mil power. How can you fight someone that is 10mil power when I myself only 5mil. This is bs. If anyone that knows math knows a 2.4% chance out of 100 is nearly impossible. You have better luck winning the lottery. ✓ Great time passerAs I wrote in the title, this game is like a chewing gum. Sweet at the beginning, then the flavor disappears in quick time and is replaced by a tasteless taste after you try to chew it for more than 1 hour. Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition also suffers from the same concept. This game is fun in a limited time, but after you play this game in about more than 1 hour, you will know there is something wrong in a game if you want to put the controller after so long playing..Version: 7.3.655
✓ Extremely Fun If You Have a Lot of MoneyAmazing graphics and game play. Unfortunately you will only experience this for a very short time unless you are swimming in money. If not, the fun stops pretty quickly. Truly a pay to play game that increasingly gets more and more ridiculously expensive as you try to progress and level up your warriors. Eventually getting to a point where you pay more to get less and then game over. Everyone eventually stalls out and stops playing because they are either broke or they have buyers remorse. ✓ Pay to grind and a money trapThe games starts out amazing and gets you hooked right away. The Looks, feel, and different quest/events make it seem like you pay to play or grind it out but you can’t. The amount of gold needed to upgrade is ridiculous, the speed to level up is to slow for the requirements of the game, and even if you do pay it’s not enough to keep up. Lastly they have different events for getting hero’s and awaking hero’s and if you’re new and don’t know the difference you can spend money on tings you can’t use..Version: 8.0.660

✓ Did it for nostalgiaI downloaded this game because it was my favorite franchise as a young child. At first, I had a lot of fun playing this game as the storyline was interesting and there were more than a few game plays within the app itself. However, this is a pay-to-win game and without putting any money in, you will not get to advance nor keep up with the big players who seem to spend hundreds on this game. The in-app purchases are also ridiculous. Spend $$$$$ on a few gems/items that will only give you a few experience points to level up. I think not! ✓ Great, great potential but....Don’t get me wrong. This games is amazing. I have been a longtime Dynasty Warrior fan ever since I can remember. This game takes me right back to my childhood! However, even has great has the game is....there is one glaring problem; this is a very heavy based pay-to-win game. I mean, the beginning is fun and you progress rather quickly. But like all potentially great games, it slows down a lot and becomes nearly impossible to progress, let alone compete with the top players spending hundreds of dollars. Take this from someone who has spent nearly $100 on this game already and still struggling to compete with the top guys... it’s not even worth it for me at this point in the game. I refuse to spend anymore money because you have just got to keep spending if you want to see some real progression. And the store packs are outrageously expensive for what you get. It’s a painfully slow game that will push away a lot of players.....players who find this game very reminiscent. ✓ Great game shame about the restThe game and gameplay are second to none, fantastic fighting system and for a non paying player the levelling up/grind isn’t so bad either. The problem lies with the constant bugs which couldn’t be brought on by the amount of people using mods/hacks in the game taking all the fun out of it since it’s become very one sided in battles now. I’ve seen almost half the server im on leave as a result and I’m now considering it too. ✓ I would give 0 star if I couldThe game seems interesting at the beginning, but you will soon realized it always cheating and makes you spending more money to reach the top of ur realm. In the first week, I noticed they have some fake players that having incredible high level but lv0 vip. and they told me they will resolve it. The week after, they merge 20 realms together which brought my ranking from 1 to 3 in the realm. They only give 500 gems to compensate this, when I talk to Customer service, those people speaks rudely in Chinese and don’t give any reasonable explanation. ✓ Untrustworthy developers.Game looks and plays fantastic, like old school ps2-ps3 dynasty warriors, except with ridiculous anime special abilities (which look good...) like demon hands coming out of the ground that don’t make sense or match the game’s history. My issue is this: everyone who’s played one of these games is well aware of fights you are supposed to lose, that’s fine in the past games, but here it’s not part of the story progression. They try to make you fight Lu Bu, yes, that Lu Bu, early in the game at a point where you literally can’t possibly be prepared for it and would need to pay money to advance or grind for AGES on previous stages to upgrade your gear. I don’t mind giving a game money, they deserve it for their effort, but trying to force me to pay to play a free to play game is dishonest and turns me away from you as a company. ✓ Good game, but …The game has good graphics, fun to play and reminds me of the old days on PS. The problem here is that it’s almost impossible to level up without spending a lot of money, which can easily reach $100 if not more to reach the highest VIP level. Obviously not everyone would be willing to do so for a game. I once got the “monthly card” and that did not even count in the “top up” process for the VIP level, so one should really be spending money to play a “free” game. ✓ Fun but GreedyI enjoy playing this game but the paywall really prevents you from making significant progress. You can’t even complete the normal campaign mode due to level requirements verses stamina and low amounts of XP awarded. The combination of these three things force you to buy more stamina or wait until the next day to recover it. The pay to play stamina system really slows your progress to a snails pace. It causes western audiences to leave the game due to inactivity. It makes a great game feel slow and empty. You can get Officer shards to unlock new characters at a reasonable pace. It’s understandable the SR and SSR shards are a little harder to get. There are plenty of activities to do in order to acquire XP pills to level them up. You can buy them from the market using in game currency.. All that being said... The stamina paywall is the biggest issue here. If this company would reconsider their pay scheme to match the values of western audiences, this game could be a 5 star hit with longevity.. if not.. it will be completely dead within a few years...Version: 8.0.655

Unfortunately that leads to expectations, and when those expectations aren’t exactly met, you don’t think you’ll enjoy it as much. ✓ Fun for a few monthsThe gameplay is great and the way it is set up differently than other DW games was interesting. But leveling up characters without spending money becomes impossible and even getting half of the characters is impossible if you don’t put a significant amount in at all. You will work hard to build your characters only to realize you cannot compete with the other players that put hundreds of dollars into the game. Then people start to leave the game so it appears there are lots of people playing when in fact they are all running around on your screen but not even on the server at that time. So it’s a lose lose situation, you don’t spend money and can’t compete or you spend money only to play the same 25 players over and over again in head to head. Then you get to the weekly aspirations and guild war and realize more than half of the cities are not even occupied because no one is really on the game. Or you get matched up against another guild and maybe one or two of their members are even on so you continue to get bye rounds. This makes the game so boring! If you are looking to kill some time this game is perfect but if you are looking for a new game to really put time and effort into don’t waste your time here because the way players are leaving the game will be dead soon. At least the only players that will be left you will never be able to compete with and so the big rewards you need you won’t be able to get..Version: 8.0.653
