✓ So Much PotentialThe game mechanics are great for this game. The lack of head to head multiplayer and how east ranked matches get make this game gets very old after a little bit. Definitely worth the download but once you figure how to play, it’s just too easy to destroy the computer..Version: 1.2.3

✓ Great PotentialI really like the graphics, the character design, and yes, the gameplay is actually pretty good once you learn good play styles and use the strategies to help gain better possession of the ball. However, my big problem is that the matches are far too short, and there are no penalty kicks. Why? Majority of my matches have ended 0 - 0 with no chance for penalty shootout and each half is only like 2 minutes in length. ✓ Half-Finished GameSo, I really wanted to like this game. And yes, there's something there - but it's a long way away from being enjoyable. As many of you have noted in prior reviews, playing the game actively is nigh-impossible. The controls are *bad*, on any of the supported platforms, whether by touch or controller. The worst bit is switching defenders. But nearly as bad are the controls for shot strength and bending a shot. Alas, I was still hoping I could enjoy this in management mode, without using the controls actively. But the little player figures stumble around like blindfolded four-year-olds in an ice rink. No dribbling *ever* works (the defender takes the ball every time). Your players pass rarely, the goals' wood plays a major role in every game (unbelievable to watch), players move about totally erratically. Tactics exhaust themselves in formation picking... and the only thing that's good for is massing your forwards so that the pachinko effects of the wildly bouncing ball result in a goal for your side a little more often, statistically speaking. Special mention: the penalty shoot-out. I watched one today that was goal-less for 24 shots. At which point I took pity on those little men and manually sunk a shot to end their misery. Needs work. ✓ It’s okIt’s ok. I wish it wouldn’t team me up with someone else who uses manage team. A lot of times it’s harder to beat it. I feel like I’m playing against computer all the time. Remove manage team. It’s stupid. I wanna play with other people. It’s more fun. Option to play computer is fine. But matching someone who does manage team and someone who actually uses controls to play defeats the fun factor. Let people who play advance faster than people who manage team. ✓ Great game, serious improvements neededBiggest improvement needed is a button to just switch between players, because it either doesn’t work using direction for everything or you need to stick a tutorial section in to help refresh things because I struggle every game just to swap through players when I’m defending. That is the biggest improvement needed. Second one is the movement, I can’t run back or stop my run without the ball rolling away randomly or it doesn’t carry when I run back from it? That’s basics that should be in the game, it’s arcady and fun to play but come on I should atleast be able to run backwards with the ball without having to do some loop to run back round. Third one would be passing and shooting, I go to aim and I have to run about 2/3 steps before it’s on target and by that point some defender will have tackled me or I’ll have stopped running with the ball randomly. It’s a great game idea but it needs so much work that if your not going to put the effort into looking to improve it, take it down and off the arcade store because it’s not worth being on the App Store if there is no support for it..Version: 1.2.3

✓ PvP doesn’t ever connect.You can only play the computer. Or a friend who has your code. But random match has never worked for me and I’ve played for several months. Otherwise you only move up in rank by playing the computer. Live play would make the game so much better..Version: 1.4
✓ What a wasteShame on you Apple for letting this update through. Phase I of PvP doesn't work, just a endless loop of waiting. Controls are worse then before, and now for some reason every single team you play will be your rank or higher in opposition even if they "rank" lower. The game now seems like a ping pong match in the center of the pitch. And updated support/tutorial, where is that? There's what the developer wants to sell as done and then what they actually did- they aren't the same with this game. Shame on them for that. I'd like to stick around to see if they get it right but if history with this game is any prediction of the future they won't. Download FIFA instead. At least you get what they say they are selling. ✓ How do people have such good teams?I’m playing ranked and my team is 700 and I’m paired against 1300+. How is this fair/reasonable? Furthermore, how are people getting such good teams? I don’t get it. I sink hours into this game each day and the best player I have is 55. I have 3000 currency but I can’t upgrade my players unless I have another player to give up. I really don’t get it. Why can’t I just spend my currency to upgrade my players without having another person to sacrifice?.Version: 1.4
✓ A touch of nostalgia but needs a tweak or twoA reasonably fun homage to the legend that was SWOS. Now, let’s be clear, SWOS this is not but it does manage to capture the fun and frantic nature of the original. I’m enjoying it a lot but one thing is driving me nuts... the AI on player selection when you don’t have the ball is all over the place and, in fact, seems so random that I might just stop with it... it’s so infuriating. ✓ 2020 Update Killed the FunEven though there were obviously some AI holes in the game, I had a blast playing the previous version and was absolutely addicted to it. ✓ Could be betterThis game is a failed chance to be a great game. Don’t get me wrong, it is really fun, but there is not that much attention to detail. First the models are awful, like BAD BAD. My grandma with no game devolving experience could my better models. And it gets very boring sometimes. They need to add more game modes. Like maybe a career mode or something. But on the flip side the gameplay is really fun and making a better team on the “My Team” is not bad. Playing in different leagues too! Just amazing. ✓ Controller BuggyMy controller the HORIPAD ULTIMATE doesn’t seem to work very well, probably not supported yet. It’s not even a surprise anymore. Another piece of junk Apple Arcade game still not ready for release. Apple Arcade was supposed to save us from wasting our time and money on evil micro transaction games. Instead it feels kind of similar to the Con Artist games with the waste of time and money, just on a much smaller scale. And to be fair at least it’s not intentional by Apple Arcade, that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a waste of time, and that’s worth infinitely more than the money..Version: 1.4
✓ Good but not greatAs a Sensi aficionado I can confirm this is definitely carrying on the Sensi gameplay tradition and proves that the Sensi controls were well set for mobile devices. However the obvious lack of licensing is a drawback to me, as playing with made up names and teams loses my interest. I’d also prefer to see some more traditional stats, win/loss ratios, goalscorers, records etc to keep me interested other than the XP approach. Early levels are also far too slow in terms of pace to make it enjoyable..Version: 1.4

✓ DreadfulI’ve been playing football games since the 1980’s and I’ve played some stinkers in my time but nothing as bad as this. Admittedly it’s difficult to create a good mobile football game but plenty have managed to churn out something that is mildly playable. But SS has nothing going for it at all. A hugely frustrating game that offers no enjoyment whatsoever. What’s worse is that I’ve waited for what seems like an eternity to play the game & now I have access to Apple Arcade I am just glad I didn’t have to spend money on this truly awful game. ✓ Enjoying but hoping for improvementsI’ve really enjoyed the game so far and it’s really accessible. I don’t feel like I need to spend hours to reach a level where it’s enjoyable. However, there are some much needed improvements in some of the game mechanics. Coins: not sure of the purpose. They’ve never been a barrier to progression and I don’t know why I’d sell a player if I don’t need them. Switching players: the auto switch function is buggy and in a crowded area I can never defend because the players keep switching. Team management: It is very difficult to manage the team, see who has reached a max level, organize squads, determine the best line up. Progression: I’m still struggling to determine how players improve. I know I can upgrade them with other players and they get experience from being man of the match but is that the limit? Do they get experience from being in a game, even if they are not man of the match? Do they get experience for positive plays in a game?.Version: 1.3

✓ Needs some playability testingI want to like this game. And so does my son. It looks good and could be a great addition to the sports game genre. But as others have said, the controls and speed of the game just make it unplayable. It’s impossible to play defense because you cannot discern when and which defender you will be automatically switched to. The game speed is just too fast. There isn’t enough time to get into a game. It’s over before you really get started. The passing and shooting controls take too long to aim so by the time you get the right direction selected the defender is already stealing the ball or intercepting the pass. ✓ What’s the purpose of this game?I am a bit confused by the purpose of this game. If it’s a game for the players who actually love playing soccer on their phones, then this is a poorly made one. If it’s a game for the players who love to collect their idols, then people will be disappointed. The only reason I can think of is Apple Arcade needs a sports game, and this is the category filler. The control is a bit wired, especially for the passing. The cutscenes can’t be skipped which is annoying. The AI is quite good at stealing the ball from me, also very annoying especially in my first few matches. Soccer players can’t sprint, which removes a lot of tactic that I can use. In the fast pace, short distance ball passing back and force between 2 teams, the camera behaviors like shaking. It is not a pleasant user experience. A good soccer mobile game needs either outstanding gameplay, or has a stunning graphics with real soccer player that you can collect and watch them play automatically. But this game unfortunately has none of them. The only advantage it has is it’s the only soccer game in Apple Arcade..Version: 1.3

✓ Pretty good game, 2020 update is a little rockyOverall I’ve enjoyed the gameplay and progression of this game. The latest update seems to have thrown things off - nothing is progressing for me. Win streak wins don’t move me along the win streak track (always stuck at 1/5), normal wins aren’t giving a payout, etc. It’s not a very deep game, and my progression is just about maxed after a month or so of play, but for a casual game it’s a good implementation..Version: 2.0
✓ Too Difficult to EnjoyThere is so much good about this game which is undermined for me by the fact that the game is simply too difficult to enjoy. I should qualify this by saying I am not great a games, so appreciate a game needs to cater to the majority. ✓ Looks fine/too fidgetyThis game looks like it is trying really hard to onboard younger players onto a paid service like FIFA or the like and spend real money on virtual items. Honestly most Apple Arcade have this; ‘feels like a mobile game with the premium currency taken out’ The game feels catered around the grind for more currency. ✓ Version 2.0 a big step backwardsI downloaded this game around a week or so a go and had been having lots of fun playing it. Unfortunately the new update, whilst delivering positive improvements in some areas of design and gameplay has a major flaw - it’s now virtually impossible to do a standing tackle. As a consequence you need to do sliding tackles to stand any chance of winning the ball (as does the AI), which results in huge numbers of free kicks, penalties and yellow/red cards. The net result is when defending, you’re generally safer just hoping the goalkeeper will save rather than attempting a tackle. When attacking, most moves seem to be broken up by the AI fouling you. A big shame, as it’s taken most of the fun out of the game..Version: 2.0
✓ Has some issuesWhen I start winning streak mode, there’s no cancel ‘option’ just ‘play!’ What if I change my mind?. Should be more options in management mode such as giving team orders like play defence or go on counter attack etc. I almost always get beaten in management mode by teams with lower ratings than I. AI algorithm needs more work, when playing other teams in non management mode the gameplay feels like I’m playing in fast forward motion, it’s too fast and the goalkeepers seemsuper human saving shot after shot even in quick succession!. ✓ Very disappointingI had high hopes that this would be like SWOS, but despite its lengthy gestation it’s not turned out well. The auto-select of players is so badly broken that defending is a mess. Stringing together passing moves is too tricky given the skittish nature of the controls. The inexplicable “leaving the ball behind” is frustrating. ✓ Reviews DELETEDEvery update, my team would have a 50% reduction. It is only supposed to be 25%. By Email, from Jon & Gustav, was told only about 100 players this happens to. For the entire length of the game to date, I worked my team into second overall, diamond division, and held it for months. Which meant, I spent money, and many hours and days on this game. After all this time, these two decided to lock my game for 2 days after a big update and then a little one. 50% reduction from 2 in the world to 15th. It took days to fix which means I lost out on 493 points daily. I’d then be 6th or 7th. This is how they treat their loyals so it appears teams can move up. You cant move up unless a player takes a day off. Its mathematically impossible to catch anyone. The overall leader time advances their game. I was in first, and 12 hours later they have 1000 points more than my team. Shame on Jon & Gustav! Apple these people are crooks and manipulators. I have no kind words for these two. They make Apple look bad. On a final note, they asked me to be a game tester, because when you are 2 in the world it only means I never missed a day or a match. Why would I associate with these two after this treatment? Like the headline says DELETED.Version: 2.0

✓ MehGame is fun enough, when the player select control works. I often find myself missing a tackle because it randomly swaps to a character on another part of the screen. ✓ Mix of Good & BadThis game is fun and enjoyable as a occasional play, but it’s starting to become a real drag to play on a regular basis. Good - Assisted controls are a good starter and full controls are definitely fun but overall I enjoyed the simplicity - It’s a lot of fun to play without the crazy complicated controls of the FIFA games - Compatible with controller, so it’s fun to get fun goal setups Bad - There are almost no online pvp players. In a month of playing, I have to be able to match with someone else. - The “ladder” mode is fun, BUT every time you get promoted to the next league, your points are reduced. Why am I getting penalized for doing well enough to get a promotion? That makes no sense! - AI is way too easy. All the teams start with the same pass and taking the ball away is too easy. I can score just as many goals on a 500-level team as I can on a 1200-level team by playing the same style. The only places where they differ is how they score goals, but if you never let the ball get to your side (easy to), then it never matters. - The “power” level of kick/pass is still hard to figure out because it happens so quickly. That said, you honestly don’t need to because the AI is so easy to beat. I’m going to keep it as an occasional play and see if updates make the ladder/league system better or there are more online PVP players..Version: 2.3.9
✓ Great gameplay, mediocre gameThe actual gameplay on the pitch is great. It’s easy to get the hang of passing, tackling, shooting and swerving the ball. It’s possible to score some great unscripted goals using the manual controls, unlike FIFA. But now I’ve got the hang of beating the CPU there’s nothing keeping me playing. Winning 16-0 every match is boring. Where are the other real players? I’m in Division 5 of 10. When I started in division 10 there were some real players to play against, but I swear I have only played the CPU since getting promoted. Which leads me on to the promotion system. You can only get promoted at the end of each week. So if all the top human players are in Division 1, I have to wait another 4 weeks to join them even though my team is maxed out with Messi, Ronaldo etc and I literally win every game. 🙄 To be honest I don’t think I’ll hang around until I get to division 1 which is a shame. I often try playing an online match but there’s never anyone to play. I managed to play once, but the experience was so laggy it was unplayable. So in summation, great game but sort the off pitch stuff out please..Version: 2.3.9

It’s impossible to control or predict and makes defense utterly infuriating. Passing is tough which is fine but the AI intercept way too much in my opinion. I played more than 5 games and still couldn’t figure out the controls. Like other reviews state the controls just aren’t intuitive. There needs to be a rethink around how the game works. I love the look and feel of the game, but the controls just let it down. I haven’t tried a controller so I don’t know if that would make it any better. ✓ Could be really goodI was getting into it but for some reason my squad decided to alter itself now my 1st choice keeper is for some reason stuck as my left back. ✓ Good gameplay but can’t scoreThe keeper literally saves every shot, even from 5 yards! I have tried adjusting the power in my shots to see if it makes a difference but it doesn’t. I managed to score 1 goal in about 5 games with over 60% possession in each and over 10 shots on target a game. It has so much potential for me to play this all the time. ✓ Brutally flawedClearly the designers meant this to be one of those pay-to-play pyramid-scheme games that rips children’s pocket money out of their piggy bang by charging for the tiniest of miserly upgrades to a player or team. It seems to have been hastily crammed into the Apple arcade mould so you now have the worst of all worlds. It’s fun for about 25 minutes, then you realise your playing a game that was not designed with this platform in mind. where you have to wait to play for another 12 hrs, bonuses charge up and you get a new player “pack” that unlocks just because they feel like it, you have to wait to upgrade players for no apparent reason, you can’t just go and buy players with credits you’ve earned so that means you earn credits for no reason that I can see because you can’t use them when you want too....it just becomes tedious in the extreme and completely detracts from what is actually quite fun when your playing a match...oh and you can’t seem to change the game length so your stuck playing these frustratingly short matches that are then interspersed with cut scenes of players running on and off for half time and match end and you can’t skip these.....Version: 1.2.3
✓ New update Apr 20 - no enjoyment in playDownloaded the game about a month ago and while took a while to get used to, it was fun. With the latest update, all the enjoyment has disappeared. Only league 7 but the majority of the teams I played even before the update were 4-500 points better. Before the update, held my own but was a challenge. Now just too difficult, can’t react in time before losing the ball and it is then pinged around before any players can get close. If the league had similar level (points) teams it would be a much better challenge but if I have no chance 75-80% of the time, what’s the point. Shame as I was enjoying it..Version: 1.4
✓ Fun but flawedGreat game that captures the retro fun of SWOS and relaunches it with modern visuals. Works well with a controller, but player switching is automatic and very poorly implemented, holding the game back somewhat. Also, the game appears to have been designed with IAP in mind but there are obviously none as it’s an Apple Arcade game. So you have this weird, almost redundant currency that seems pointless. Why level or upgrade anything in a paid game? I don’t want to pay money to grind. I want console quality games rich with content and featured from day one. ✓ Ok-ishWhy has my team regressed with the April 2020 update? My team was rated 1321 and had a front 3 with an average rating of 97. With this update my overall is 1279 and my front 3 have dropped to early 90s??? How hard is it to roll out a competent update that doesn’t decimate a level you’ve spent ages building up? Useless. Oh, and you STILL haven’t made the controls customisable so the lob button can be moved. It’s too far over to the right!!!!!.Version: 1.4
✓ The gameplay changes with each updateEach time this game updates the way you play changes. With the latest update none of the controls are working for me. Kicking is off and tackling is just constant fouling. Horrible update..Version: 2.0
✓ Controls are awfulAdmire the developers for trying a more arcade feeling approach, but the controls make no sense. In order to shoot with higher power you have to hold down the shot after you’ve already kicked it? Kind of ridiculous. The rest of the controls feel pretty clunky too. The virtual joystick is way too sensitive and clearly needs a dead zone that it is lacking. Still cannot figure out the switch mechanic, it seems very odd though. Why not just allow one of the three buttons used to slide tackle be used for switching to the nearest player? Some of the UI looks nice, but the UI for setting your team is pretty hard to use. Overall it seems as if not much thought was put into some of the decisions and usability. It’s too bad because I would have enjoyed a decent arcade soccer title..Version: 1.2.3
✓ What’s happened?This is a game I’d really enjoyed playing until recently when a crashing issue seems to have developed. Particularly annoying if you’re 4-0 up at half time and closing in on promotion. When I reopen the game it counts the crashed game as having been completed! Sort it out Tower Studios! It’s a fun game that deserves good reviews but these issues will really affect the rating if they persist..Version: 1.3
✓ Player switching mechanic ruins the gameThe control (or lack thereof) of changing which player you control makes the game almost unplayable. In defence, you tell the player you control to challenge the opponent with the ball, but then the game changes who you control which means you’ve told them to run in the wrong direction, leaving the goal undefended. In offence, when you pass the ball to another player, then alter the direction that player is running to get the ball quicker, it also changes the spin of the ball you just passed, giving it to the opponents defender. The game comes down to the luck of the draw of when the game decides to change the character you control more than the actually skill you or your opponent have..Version: 1.2.3

✓ Controls need workAs other have said, this game COULD be really great if a few improvements are made 1. Design a way to switch players on defense, right now you basically have to force the switch by running away from the offense once they pass you. Super frustrating 2. Make some improvement to dribbling. It hard to do any evasive moves with the ball. 3. Make the AI for offensive runs better. It’s hard to pass when your team mates just stand around. 4.
