✓ So much fun!Late last year I gave this game a one star review. However, since then the game’s been updated, and now it’s sheer joy! Don’t expect an accurate simulation here, but I will argue the end result is actually nicer to play than the licensed FIFAs of this world. For short or not so short bouts of arcade action fun, give this have a try. One tip, though: do yourself a favour and play with a controller!.Version: 2.0
✓ SWOS HeavenLoving the strong nostalgia vibes of this game .... pure arcade action. Proust was taking back to his childhood by the smell of baking madeleines. For me it is the sight of a swerving shot going straight through a keeper into the middle of the goal.... Sensible World Of Soccer is born again..Version: 1.2.3
✓ Please don’t change anything ;)I actually seem to be good at this compared to other people; don’t take away my self-esteem booster! I love that the tactics make a difference, that I can build a better team through better play; that I have to adapt to others’ preferred approaches to find ways to carve out chances. I also love the current quirks (and by that I mean “bugs I can exploit”) - like how I can run rings around by knowing where the “dead zones” are with the opponents active player before it switches to another, how it’s possible to bring a sent off player back onto the field by swapping out their position with one that’s less good in the subs menu, and how the CPU is absolutely incapable of scoring a penalty. Seriously, though, I love it and as much as there are some rough edges on it, it’s a time sink in the right way that can genuinely only get better and more competitive. ✓ PlayersLove the ethic of the game, very good for a technically free game, would love to see a route to make it easier to buy players maybe using the coins we accumulate through the seasons. ✓ Happy DaysI think this is really, really good. Stick with it and it opens up to be a very rewarding and fun game. It controls really well for a touch screen footy game too! I wish it had old style sensi graphics though.....at least the option for them......Version: 1.2.3
✓ Sensible World of SocceresqueThis is like playing SWOS all over again. I’d prefer to play it via the Apple TV using my PS4 pad, but the game doesn’t link and connect to the games I’ve played on my iPhone which is very frustrating. I just hope it continues to improve over time. Overall a great start, though some creases need to be ironed out..Version: 1.2.3
✓ Great fun, occasional problems with getting inLove this game, especially playing in Apple TV. Especially fun to play opponents online in your league or clan vs clan. There used to be daily limits, not sure if that is still the case but I do have problems connecting to the server sometimes, as if a limit is being implemented. What’s up with that guys? Server problems or play limit? Is there an option to just play versus an online opponent when you’ve reached league or clan limit? Maybe increase the win streak availability, multiple runs, or for no reward other than the fun of it..Version: 2.6.1

✓ Gameplay great but serious bugI think the controls and gameplay are great. I can see it takes a little getting used to though. I did go through the first 6 divisions scoring probably >6 goals on average a game (record 14) so arguably too easy but I really enjoy it even when easy. Plus the difficulty is increasing so I imagine division 1 is pretty difficult. I hope it gets updated on Apple Arcade in the future because I enjoy this game, especially without in-app purchases..Version: 2.6.1

Tried every bottom. -I am using the built in screen controlled. -t seems you have increased the gravity/magmatic proximity pull of the ball greatly to the opponent. ✓ Fun to play but lots of confusionThe most important thing first: this is maybe the first iPhone soccer game I’ve enjoyed playing. After a learning curve, and after turning on the passing guide in options, I can move the ball around, make chances, and defend. Scoring a goal is still a big accomplishment but this is soccer we are talking about after all! The other parts of the game are hard to understand and seem lifted from a pay-to-play model. There are coins and daily rewards just for opening the app. They don’t belong in an Apple Arcade game. Even the league is confusing. I don’t know who I am playing against or why..Version: 1.3
✓ Fun but needs improvementThe game is fun, however there’s things missing. For example, you can’t change player yourself and have to wait for it to change automatically. You can’t really create any set ups this way, as you have to rely on the computer. The controls also have to be extremely precise otherwise the ball won’t go where you want it to go. This is fine and makes it more skill based. However: On a phone this can be difficult and frustrating. Overall, the game is fun and you will get enjoyment out of it. Just keep in mind, it’s not perfect and has a few annoying things..Version: 1.2.3
✓ SWOS 2020The best game in the Apple Arcade. Now with online play. It’s a little more like pinball footy than something like FIFA, but if you have ever played Sensi Soccer, this is the game you have dreamt of. Just glorious..Version: 1.3
✓ Really funI love this game. I tried FIFA one year but it was way too involved for me so I stopped playing pretty quickly. The amount of team management here is just about right for me as a casual player. I like the international trophies so you can try out different play styles. Don’t like how hard it is on defense sometimes when the computer doesn’t switch to the player you want to control and there’s no way to tell it to switch players, except to run in the opposite direction. Docked it one star for that because defending is annoying quite often. Otherwise I just wish the games were a little longer, mainly because they are fun and seem to end too soon..Version: 1.2.3
✓ Really good but...Im really enjoying this game BUT its a bit buggy. I’ve played and won multiple matches but i do not get any points for the wins nor do i progress through the stages. It’s like I’m constantly playing in practice mode. Please fix this as it has the potential to be a great game! EDIT: Problem fixed and now i can start playing properly again. 5 stars!.Version: 1.2.3
✓ Almost GreatAs everyone has mentioned, the controls seem nearly broken at times. There is a huge learning curve when getting your feel for curving shots and varying power. It’s very frustrating starting from scratch, but once it finally clicks after a dozen or so matches the game starts to become really fun. If you’re angry playing the CPU, switch to ranked. Playing online in ranked matches and win streak put you up against players who are trying to master these controls and are much more evenly matched. The CPU switches when intended, has perfect shot accuracy etc. Play against real people and it’s much more fun. After a few days you’ll start to develop some strategy and it won’t be so random. Some improvements are needed though. Stat tracking would be great along with possibility for longer matches. All in all very fun game with great potential!.Version: 1.2.3
✓ An amazing game from a company that cares about user experienceRight from the days that Sensible Software began, with such titles as Megalomania, Cannon Fodder and not to mention Sensible Soccer, Jops and Jools have always had the user experience at the forefront of everything they do. With this new incarnation, Sociable Soccer, you get the same user oriented experience. No need for bells and whistles that games like EA’s FIFA provide, this is all about the fun and enjoyment. ✓ Best football game ever just got betterSensi is back! Sure, it takes a while to get used to the controls but so did the original. The incredible range of moves within what is a simple set up is what gives this game something no other footie game has ever beaten. Get ready to take a long time to score but once you start to intuitively feel the game you’ll be hooked. Scoring a rasper with a little after touch feels as great as it ever did. John Hare is back - just need the KLF to reform and the best of the 90s will be ours. Sensible Golf or Cannon Fodder next?.Version: 1.2.3
✓ Small problemsNot enough to knock a star off though, I’ve never played sensible soccer but this game gives me an old school feel, brought back with its own style, feeling fresh and clean shaven. I’ve honestly no problem with the controls, except for selecting a player when I don’t have the ball, but that’s being worked on anyway. I quite enjoy if you move too quickly your player will lose the ball, meaning you have to be careful and try to keep your ball skill inline with the footballer you’re controlling. Scoring takes a little practice and you sometimes think you’ve got a knack for a certain way, then it’s difficult again. It all depends on the team you’re playing and their formation, plus a little luck can help, I’m not complaining as it makes a goal all the more of an accomplishment, especially when you’re 3-0 up. It’s great how you actually are in like a real season online against everyone, and to upgrade you can do the campaign or get a win streak on, sell or use your old players for XP or coins. The manager mode is pretty much just watch, and if it goes to penalty’s whilst you’re in this mode, you can be sat there for 10 minutes as the goalkeepers are well over powered and seem to save everything, but that’s a small problem. Really enjoying this, much prefer it over the more well known football titles, heck I don’t even really like football but this is a good game..Version: 1.2.3

✓ A must for Sensible Soccer fans!It took a bit of getting used to at first, but with a bit of practice it’s been just like when I learned how to play Sensible Soccer on my Amiga back in the 90’s.. (which I do still go back to occasionally 🕹⚽️). Sociable Soccer really is the spiritual successor to Sensible Soccer, the game play is just as fun and addictive.. with the added bonus of competing with and putting your skills against real life opponents.. 👍🏻 The rankings mechanic takes a bit of getting used to, in terms of when to play and your ability to progress through the leagues.. but stick with it and you’ll get the hang of it (I have just made it to Gold League Div3). Game controls are very responsive with the virtual game pad on the iPhone.. I also play on the Mac version of the game with a PS3 Dual Shock controller, and the transition between the two is seamless for me.. which means I can play on one device and continue my progress on the other.. fantastic!👍🏻 Tip: Pass and move, use after touch (swerve). Learn where your players positions are with the different formations.. learn where your players move to, persevere and have fun. If you liked and enjoyed the fast paced arcade style of Sensible Soccer, then you MUST get this game and relive your glory days.. Stay Sociable! ⚽️🏆👍🏻.Version: 1.4

✓ FrustratingThe controls make it frustrating to play on a touchscreen and the players you start out with are unresponsive and clumsy. I’m not sure how you can improve your team as there seems to be no way to spend the coins you acquire on better players. The offline mode is limited, with the difficulty being quite punishing. I suspect this was originally designed as a freemium game with the micro-transactions removed for Apple Arcade. It’s left feeling totally unbalanced with no method of progression. ✓ Really fun, somewhat perplexing metaI find the core gameplay to be pretty enjoyable. Despite not being someone who plays FIFA, I feel like I can hold my own. Could use a little refinement, but it’s there for me. I find some other things fairly inscrutable; is there a secret to beating teams twice my power in World mode? ✓ Gets Repetitive but Mostly FunLike what most of the other reviews state, the controls are tricky at first. It’s genuinely fun once you get the hang of it though, especially in multiplayer. One problem I have is how repetitive and boring it becomes when playing to unlock better characters. I don’t like how stars slowly increase in daily matches after unlocking a character either. It becomes such a grind to the point where it’s unplayable. At least for me though. If you’re someone who enjoys long stretches of grinding, I respect it, but it’s too slow to keep me interested. There was also a bug I encountered recently when I tried to enter daily matches after club clash reset, where it kept sending my to the main menu whenever I tried to enter daily matches. OTHER THAN THAT THIS IS SO FUN TO PLAY WITH FRIENDS..Version: 2.6.1

✓ How the hell do you score?Every match, 7, 8, 9, 10 attempts at goal without success. It’s nigh on impossible to put a shot away even one on one with the keeper. ✓ I Really Enjoy the Game Even Though I Don’t Know What’s HappeningI’ve played probably 100 games now, win most of them, and I have fun . I don’t have any idea how many games I’ve won or lost, though, because there are no such stats anywhere. In fact, I’m not sure who I’m playing, why, or what it means. I just know that if I go into ‘League’ and press ‘next’ enough times, a soccer game starts, and from there, I’ve figured out what to do. After the game is over, I click next a bunch of times until I get put into a new game. Am I playing against AI? Am I playing against other humans? Am I playing against a group of well-trained monkeys? No idea. How do I change my team? I dunno. I’m an ignorant American and I have no idea if these soccer teams are real. I chose Newport at random. There isn’t any explanation of what’s going on, so I try not to care. I just play a dozen or so games each night, and enjoy it. Is my won/loss record and and other stats kept somewhere? No idea. It would be nice to know what it is. Maybe I’m just playing in a parallel universe, where nothing means anything? Whatever the case, thanks for making the game itself..Version: 1.3

✓ Better over timeYou really have to keep playing the game to understand the mechanics in it..like when to tackle, how to curve the ball, learn to position players. Understanding team scores to determine difficulty.....but once you get through the 30 minute process the game gets REALLY fun. Like a low key fifa on iPhone. Now that I learned the game it’s addicting. Like Ive selected my home team houston. I’ve upgraded my keeper. I’ve scored some crazy goals. ✓ Not yet where it needs to be but il give it time.Controls on iPhone are a nightmare, often there’s a player I am trying to control “under my thumb”. Player nearest the ball isn’t always the one I want to be active and often on changing direction the player just leaves the ball where it is. ✓ Plenty of issues but what a game!The keepers are awful, mine has scored numerous ogs. Some of the goals are absolutely ridiculous. Also, it would be great to get the real names (like SWOS). Also, The controls can be slightly unresponsive however... This is a superb game. Quick game play, great graphics and great fun. Highly addictive! Once you get your team built and into a groove it’s so slick. I’ve been waiting for Sensi to make a comeback on mobile for years and this is it!
