Has helped a ton!I really love this app. Only been using it consistently recently, and it’s making a huge difference in my mental health. I love that I can use it whenever. Wherever. Don’t have to schedule a therapist session. And the sessions are like just a few mins. Great for busy people. I don’t have to drive 45 mins to a therapist. And the price is great for what I’m getting for this help. One one-hour therapy session would be 3x as much as the annual subscription! So worth it. The new AI function is really awesome. And I chose to “work with” Mike. He really just comes across as so genuine. Highly recommend this app, esp if you want great help that fits a busy schedule!.Version: 2.20.0

Glad to finally see CBT!There are so many apps out there that are meant for mental health, but focus more on half-arsed self-love that isn’t always based off of science. I feel like those apps don’t really do a great job at really getting in there and helping you solve your problems, like CBT does. I already use CBT with my therapist, and it’s so cool to see that I can bring it with me on my phone! And I personally think that CBT the best thing to base this app off of, since it is used to help anxiety, ocd, depression, ptsd, panic disorder, and so much more. It’s really the basis of what many therapists use. I still recommend seeing an actual therapist along with this app, depending on how your own mental health is. Awesome AppI was initially against a CBT app because I thought therapy should really only be done with a therapist. However, I have made a good deal of progress in only a week of using the app that I haven’t made in a year of weekly therapy. It is also something I can do daily which therapy with my therapist is only weekly. I only give 4 stars because the music doesn’t loop correctly. I had to turn it off completely which is sad because I really liked it. I’m also experiencing a good number of bugs like the app will appear in portrait mode when I am in landscape mode. Or I will write big journal entries for a course, but won’t be able to copy and paste it to my email for future work. I’ll press … buttons and nothing will pop up. It’ll just be a pointless button press. There’s also no computer mode, which I don’t understand. I have to use a bluetooth mini keyboard so I can type well enough. It’s too hard to really get my thoughts on page by thumb typing on my phone. I highly recommend the app despite these..Version: 2.7.0

Bloom saved my life!I’ve been out of traditional therapy for two years. I found Bloom in a search for something, wasn’t sure what but it’s the best discovery I’ve made ever (self-discoveries not included.. LOL). I was alone in my apartment, tears rolling down my eyes like Niagara Falls. No friends, no family, no therapist. My intuition urged me to just log my emotions and journal my way out of the darkness my soul had plummeted into. The next thing I know, I was interacting with a session I picked at random and my mood shifted dramatically. I was near suicide that day but thanks to this app, when no one else was there, it was at arm’s length away when I needed it. No mask. No COVID screening. No waiting room wait. It works for the scariest thingsMy mother has been recently diagnosed with stage IV cancer. Nothing can prepare you for something like this - the grief is overwhelming and the stress doesn’t end. I was surprised to discover that a ten minute session on Bloom is almost as helpful as an hour long talk with a trained professional. And unlike a human therapist, it’s available all the time, even at 4 a.m. on a Sunday. I never write reviews but if the developers are reading this — THANK YOU. This is amazing!This is the perfect dose of mindfulness and grounding of the day! Finishing the day on this leaves you calmer and almost in a meditative state. I can’t wait to use it for longer, but so far I look forward to it every night and can really feel my anxiety instantly going down. Studying causes stress too.It’s a really great app but I’m confused as to why there’s no “study” or “school” option for what’s causing stress, and the talks tend to be work focused. Obvi, a lot of young people, and people who are studying, have mental health issues and struggles. Absolutely AmazingI was skeptical at first about using an app to find methods to cope with my anxiety. However I gave bloom a shot and instantly it felt right. You can set up great routines to practice mindfulness everyday aswell as journal your thoughts. Furthermore the CBT sessions in the app are fantastic and offer a massive variety of focuses. Literally the best app EVERRRI have multiple diagnoses including ocd, bpd, panic, and ptsd, and this app just offers everything for me. From the short but informative series’ on multiple topics, very scarily accurate and helpful personalized advice, and the music in the background is cool too! 😌 please developers, keep it free. It’s very evident that you’ve worked hard on this amazing app, but EVERYONE needs this in their lives and keeping it free can help soooo many people! Really grateful for this app :)I’ve been using Bloom on and off for a year now and I find it particularly useful in between my weekly counselling sessions when I need some extra boost regarding situations affecting me. I also like that it is rooted in CBT which has been beneficial to me in counselling as well. I know it’s a bit pricey to subscribe but I personally find it worth it due to the accessibility it provides me when I can’t speak to someone or simply don’t have the energy to call up a mental health line and would rather just listen to someone speaking sense by inputting how I’m feeling on my phone. I feel like even if this app was completely free I’d want to donate if I could afford it just to keep it going and show support because of how incredibly helpful it’s been in my journey to recover and heal from what has been an awful year. A huge thank you to the developers of this app and not sure if they’re actors during sessions but they’re also doing a great job of showing empathy and validation through a phone screen!! :).Version: 1.39.1

On and offI used a trial for this a couple of years ago which helped navigate some difficult situations. I’ve been wanting to try it again for a while so so purchased a subscription for a month and for the last few days it’s been helping again 😊 the old content still appears to be available which is also a plus! A couple of issues though! This newer version means the courses now have day-by-day access and the remaining content is locked until the next day. For a paid subscription I think this is ridiculous! You can easily navigate back to old sessions if required-locking them makes little sense unless it was a free app. Can be glitchy at times with the videos. The sound seems to work fine, not sure if it’s the app considering others have had similar issues! I think this app is great if you need temporary CBT help, not sure about long-term help at this point. I would consider an annual subscription if needed!.Version: 2.20.0

Perfect timing for this appI’m not someone who leaves reviews unless I actually feel the need to because it impresses me ! I love the music , so Calming , takes me back to me spa training, and the advice and cbt in the app is a strong contender to any therapist out there ! AmazingI absolutely love this app. I downloaded it in November, it’s now January and I’ve never missed a day. The daily session is tailored to what I choose to work on, and all the therapy videos and meditations are available when I need extra support. The host is excellent and his approach instantly makes me feel calm and supported. This app is great for when I don’t have appointments with my own therapist because I still feel like I’m putting in the work and getting stronger. Incredible App for Self-Therapy/CBTI have suffered anxiety my entire life. I have always felt controlled by it. I have leaned on bad habits. I have gone to in person therapy before. Over time, I realized how journaling has helped me work on these awful habits and overcoming my anxiety. And while I have touched on CBT in past therapy, there wasn’t something I could find that helped bring the two together that didn’t cost an arm and a leg with in person therapy! Honestly this app saved me from agonyI don’t write many reviews. This App honestly gave me proper Hope after I done my first session. It wasn’t straight away. But it took about half an hour after I done my session and I let it sink it in. Right After the session I felt the same but after a little while, I thought about how I have professional help on my person no matter where I go, and that thought right there was the one that gave me the strength to start switching things back to old me and now after using it for a while, it’s making me stronger than ever before. Love it but could use improvements.This app is incredibly helpful if you’re like me, and you need guidance on what questions to ask yourself, what areas to focus on, which habits to address, etc. when it comes to self-care practices. It’s definitely not a replacement for a therapist who can listen to your specific situations and needs, but it’s really really good for “maintenance” type stuff. That being said, I do wish the app was a little more… intuitive? Functional? It works fine, but sometimes I just cannot find a session or an activity that I’m looking for, but then I’ll notice it in a place that it doesn’t really make sense. I wish there was a way to sort and filter sessions/activities. Right now, they are kind of disorganized and not very searchable..Version: 1.39.1

Immensely beneficialI love this app. I been using it for almost a month now, every single day. It helps me reflect on what I’m thinking and feeling, and work on areas of my life that I want to improve. I have worked on numerous daily sessions including Self-confidence, Motivation, Stop procrastinating, Positivity, and Overcoming fear to name a few. All have been really helpful, and a few extremely powerful (one even making me emotional, in a good way!). The explanations given on the recorded video sessions are very helpful and most importantly understandable. Not too science-y but enough detail to understand what’s going on in the brain when we experience various thoughts and feelings. The daily check-ins prompt you to reflect on how you are feeling and why you feel that away, and are useful for self-reflection and prompting you to discover what you might want to work on that day. I’ve only just started using the programs (e.g. 7 day program for overcoming fear), but so far these are excellent. Again - great videos, with helpful journal exercises to reflect on experiences relating to the topic, and how to overcome challenges. Loving BloomI thought I would give Bloom a go as I’ve been looking for an app like this, and I’m so glad I came across it. I’ve read about CBT and neuroplasticity but never tried it. I love how Bloom lets you be in control of how you want to better yourself and be the most real and beautiful version of yourself. Unbelievable!My sister bought this for me for an Xmas present and with chronic pain I have found this app has helped me cope through morphine reduction, family issues and relationship issues. It has helped me realise I can only control how I react, how things affect me and how I deal with life long pain as I reduce pain killers. In love with feeling goodI’ve been using this app a few days now, adding it to an existing practice of tapping, exercise, and meditation to help release negative emotions and reduce overthinking. I left talk therapy behind several years ago, finding that it often made me feel worse not better. Like talk therapy this app gets me in touch with what I’m feeling through a series of introspective questions, but then quickly moves into calming tools and practices for self discovery and release. Great app. Could use more series’s.Definitely worth the subscription price. Could use some more activity series’s. A series on social anxiety, or overcoming fear would be amazing. There are a couple lessons on these but the bite sized daily practice is the best part of the app in my opinion. Legit surpassed all my expectationsI’ve been in therapy for a year now. I’ll say this is one of the best supplements to improving my mental health. In a way Bloom can be better than therapy. The very extensive library of quick ~8-12 min modules covers a wide range of topics that includes even the most niche circumstances in life. Just pick one that suits what’s happening and it’ll provide techniques and framings to calm the negative emotions. Everything is on my phone, so I’ve even done some modules while at work during the exact moment when I’m feeling overwhelmed. I especially like the interactive component in most modules where I have to write a quick sentence or two to describing what I’m feeling. This is honestly the best use of money I’ve spent toward my mental health..Version: 1.41.1

It’s helping me AND I enjoy itI absolutely love this app. I don’t have the time or money to go to my therapist as much as I would like and I don’t open up well anyway to others so this is the perfect interactive way to get me started on what I want to work on. Small cost for big gainsI am a super frugal person but I gave the free trial a go and I chose to pay for the app because of what I found. Many days I forget to use it or I get busy but when I do use it I feel soooo accomplished and better about myself. The way Mike speaks is very relaxing and compassionate, it makes me really value this app and how much is in it. Its also great that there is a timeline of all your logs so you can see it and go back to those sessions. I recommend biting the bullet and getting the app long term, just do the maths and make it worth it. I love this app but just a small butI started writing a review and I lost it. I love this app, it’s really helped me in so many ways. I stop and think more about my actions and the way I talk to myself. I find myself taking deep breaths to calm myself. It’s great to take a moment to check in and this has really encouraged me to really think about how I am feeling and why. I can get to sleep easier and I no longer have anxiety at bed time (that’s when I choose to go on to Bloom) My only one niggle is that the app won’t let me “check in” occasionally which is frustrating when I can’t. Commit to BloomI can’t say enough good things about Bloom CBT. I’ve been struggling with intense panic attacks/ panic disorder for several years as well as depression to the point where I have not been able to drive my own car. Like many, 2020 brought out more of these symptoms and it was difficult to cope. I did not have immediate access to a good psychologist and so I started drowning in work, family, marriage and health problems. That said. I started using Bloom and it has greatly helped in all aspects of my life. I’ve been able to start my day with CBT and I also write my takeaways from Bloom in a journal. I use this time in the mornings to set my intentions for the day and start on a positive note. The writing exercises have helped me realize my thought patterns and how I can make small adjustments in many areas. Also, the breathing exercises have helped me to re-learn how to breath properly and remind myself to breath when experiencing any anxious thoughts/feelings. After I finish my Bloom session, I exercise via bike riding or something else. A combination of cardio and strength training. If you are drowning in depression, anxiety and daily pressure, use Bloom each day to stay positive and work on yourself. Put in the work and watch how much progress you can make in a short time..Version: 1.30.3

Great AppI came across BLOOM after trying a few different apps and thought it was just another mindfulness app. I took the plunge and subscribed for the year and I have not regretted it one bit. I have suffered with bad anxiety for years and my search for the so called cure was getting a bit tiresome. This app gave me the understanding of what my thoughts and feelings were doing to my emotions and has helped me massively to feel more like my old self again and gave me the tools to help me overcome my anxieties. I urge anyone to try BLOOM and search through all of the content to find what works for you. I have been using it since December 2020. Day one of trialI’ve only done one day of the trial and I’ve used a lot of self improvement apps and have books and books on CBT. This app is just such a stress-free beautiful way to do reflections and guided CBT exercises that feels close to a Therapist but doing it in the comfort of your home. This makes my heart sparkleI have only been using bloom for a couple days, but I have already seen great value from it. Over the years I have struggled greatly with depression and anxiety - and while I came good a couple years ago I have decided to be proactive about my mental health. The session on purpose has literally brought me tears of joy! I think even when we think are good, we can forget where we are weak - which is ok, but great to improve on. Glitchy but great tool otherwise!I’ve been loving this app and have suggested it to my friends and family. I love all the tools that are able to be used and directed towards what you’re feeling that day. The calming music when opening the app is also a major plus. The only problem I have is it can be glitchy. Sometimes it won’t let you start the video or it will skip questions/journaling prompts. I also would suggest a reminder of what was gone over the day before since we get asked that question each session and as someone with short term memory loss due to my depression/anxiety, I never remember what we did the previous session immediately. Mike as the defaultI’m giving this app four stars only because I’ve become frustrated with always encountering Mike as the default therapist. He looks like my abuser, so I find myself triggered anytime he comes up. Having to constantly toggle back to my preferences to re-choose my therapist is incredibly frustrating. Best app ever!I’m so grateful that these guys decided to make an app so anyone who needs mental health support can access it. I’ve done CBT before but because the appointments are often a week or more apart by the time I got to the next appointment I’d forgotten what I’d learnt the week before. The results are worth the money ❤️I have seen a therapist over 3 yrs and it was a wonderful experience. She let me go after she saw that I was ready to go on my own. I knew I was but when I started to take more challenging projects and level up my career, some old demons/vicious circle that I did not heal deeply and properly came back. I was still using other apps to help me journaling. Then, I understood I needed something similar as my therapy session but more budget wise! Then, I found out Bloom. The first therapy was amazing, I felt I went back to that time where I was taking care of myself with my therapist. I’m so glad I found this app, I can already tell the difference. Good start, needs improvements.Originally I thought it wasn’t very user friendly. Great content but soo buggyThe content is great, there really is loads on there (though some parenting support would be great!). The problem I have is the number of bugs and glitches with the app. It sends a notification, I click on it, it opens up and then hangs. Nothing works until I quit out. Sometimes it sends the same notification 3 times in a row. Some of the lessons don’t load when you click on them. For managing anger/frustration, this app isn’t for you! If they can iron out the huge number of kinks and bugs, this app would be superb!.Version: 1.37.1

Awesome!!I absolutely love Bloom!!!! I’ve tried several other CBT/meditation apps and this one is my favorite and has been the most helpful for me. If you need more therapy than meditation then this is the app for you. The sessions are not heavy in meditation, which I like. I need to hear the right words, advice, encouragement, and solutions than lots of breathing. I love the guide, Mike. I find him very kind and soothing. Best I’ve foundI do really feel I’m getting good work through this app. I like the morning check in tracking and the ability to choose something tailored each time, not just do a set daily task. The guided journaling is really effective for me as is having the record to look back on. The theories and insights are well structured and the science is solid. Great, but needs more content & bug fixesThis app needs more content updates or possibly bug fixes. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and it is constantly recycling the same videos in my cue— very annoying, especially because you can’t remove them. I love the prompts and the videos that I’ve done— I just don’t need to do the same cbt exercise that is not related to my issues over and over again. Please fix your bugs bloom! I really want to give you five stars. Fwiw my hunch is they aren’t creating new content because they want to keep videos consistent to their two characters and so re booking those actors probably makes it harder to add more content. WOWWhat a find. I stumbled on this app, signed up and did some initial work around emotional awareness as I felt down, tired and generally flat but could not really pinpoint what was driving my feelings. The best analogy I can think of, is my emotions were like a knotted ball of string, a confusing tangled mess of feelings driven by multiple things that are going on in my life. The initial session enabled me to get into a relaxed state where I could view more clearly what the root causes of my emotional seesawing were. At the the end I felt like I had more clarity and my heart felt a little less heavy. I think the fact that I felt I could be more honest in capturing in writing what has actually gone on in my life, enabled me to reflect with more clarity on the reality of my situation. I will be highly recommending this app to all my family. A really cleverly thought out tool that gets to the heart of the matter. 4 1/2 Stars - Shernita is The StandoutI’ve been feeling anxious for a while and I’m currently working on something that is bringing up all the feelings! I downloaded it to try it as I got a 7 day trial and I’m really impressed, for me Shernita is the best (Mike is great too) her manner is a really lovely mix of friendly, compassionate and just the little hint of sass but in the best possible way. I’ve signed up & purchased a year for a variety of reasons. Some things that would be great would be a “how to use” video on the help section or the website as I am using it but I am sure there is a way to get the most out of it? Sometimes there are aspects about a product that you don’t know about so that would help. It would also be good is to be able to select a guide and then all videos/audio shown with that guide? One thing I emailed the head of the company about something and he replied kudos for that! Truly fantastic appThanks to this app, I finally understand what CBT is and how to use it as a skill in my life. I’m still learning but that’s where this app has been fantastic - there are 100s of CBT exercises ready made for any situation - I just scroll through, find an appropriate exercise and it effectively de-escalates my thought pattern and helps me replace them with better them. The concept and content is so good I couldn’t not give 5 starts but there are minor technology updates that would make it even better: - ability to add exercises to favourites or a play queue - organising CBT exercises into courses? - better explanation/characterisation of the short activities/healthy habits? Help Yourself, Give it a GoI was initially skeptical about yet another wellness app that promised to change my life with a seven day free trial. I’ve never gone to therapy before so I thought what the heck let’s try this. I’m on week two now, and wow this therapy actually works. It’s brought realizations that I wasn’t aware of, centred my morning routine where I previously couldn’t get out of bed, and made me just feel so centred. I used to have nagging persistent thoughts in the morning, dreading the day to get work and personal tasks done but now I feel calm. Like so many people I suffer from anxiety, worry, stress and night terrors quiet frequently. Help I needI downloaded Bloom a couple of months ago after seeing an advertisement for it. At that time I just said okay, I don’t have time for this. Day One and Already Helpful!Today is only my first day, but the content, empowering words, calm voices, and lack of personal bias towards my inability to always clearly articulate my words and thoughts is OVERWHELMING HELPFUL! Soothes the SoulThis app makes me cry (in a good way) every time I use it. It has helped with processing grief of lost loved ones as well as connecting better with myself and the issues I bury down inside that I typically don’t let myself, or know how to, feel. I feel significant therapeutic benefit after completing a session, like a weight is lifted off my heart. I like the privacy of the sessions where I can write out what I’m feeling instead of trying to explain it to a person in traditional talk therapy. The voices are calming, as well as the music. CBT as it should be - wonderful!I tried Bloom after deciding I was worth the investment in the app. I would pay that for a meal with a friend to vent and chat so why not pay the same for a team of specialists on tap?! Some people are saying this is all generalised - well with the greatest of respect…🤦‍♀️ It’s not an actual person stepping into your house! The team have tried to make sure that the sessions YOU pick to suit you can be relatable to lots of issues, it is down to you when you interact to tie it to your specific circumstances. You can search out a theme, and even suggest topics too. I am recovering from an abusive relationship which involved gaslighting, coercive control and manipulation amongst other issues so learning how to value myself is a steep learning curve. Being able to do this at my own pace is great. Some days I may do several sessions- other days I just use the “check in” feature to remind myself to stop and take stock. It has definitely helped me feel more I. Control and less overwhelmed. Like any therapy it is most effective when you are really engaged and prepared to keep going. I have done CBT with a therapist one to one before and it was less effective just because I was not in the right place mentally. This way I can dip in and out as I need. Love it and can’t recommend it enough - it may not suit everyone but it certainly has made a huge difference to me..Version: 1.38.9

Fantastic app, frustrating bugs holding me backLove this app, has been helping me through a crisis, it’s the first time I have found cbt helpful because I finally grasp the concepts. I was using it as a daily practice on a month subscription and was planning on subscribing for the full year but the bugs almost make it unusable at times. Some icons don’t respond without tapping lots, when I set my host to the female it resets to the male the next day, the daily habits get stuck on one random numbered day, I had the same daily mantra for ever. Love this!Usually I don’t write reviews, however. I bought bloom a few months ago and have used it every day since and I have found it to be so so helpful. I have dealt with social anxiety for a number of years and getting onto this everyday has helped so much. Voyage of discoveryBloom is a new experience for me. Suggested by a friend, I thought I’d give it ago. I was referred to an online CBT programme in the NHS, but I found it dull, unattractive and I found myself drifting away from it very quickly. Not so with Bloom. It’s a new, encouraging and friendly approach to CBT, you do the work yourself, but with guidance and incentive by way of a kind tutor. Just right for a sensitive soul like me! This method eases you into the idea of CBT, without just laying out instructions. I will happily stick with it - I have suffered anxiety for over 40 years, and this course will help me really get to terms with it, but it will take time..Version: 1.38.9

Great appI have been using bloom for one year now and i love how it is able to help me develop as a person. Mental health with CBT is like working out. You need to do it routinely and practice periodically. This app app allows you to do that by giving you all the control but acting as a guide using leading questions. It opens your mind to using openness and curiosity as methods of exploring oneself. I only wish they would introduce a larger variety of concepts. It is very surface level and touches on problems very well at the surface but doesn’t really dive to deep into the concepts being explored. Manage Anxiety at Your PaceI usually never take the time to review an app, even if I like it. I don’t just like this app, I LOVE it. Bloom is probably my favorite app on my phone, and here’s why: I’m a college student, and when I return to school, I find that my time is extremely limited to take care of myself the way I should. Between course work, my new job, and managing my relationships and friendships, there’s often no time for me. That can get isolating and overwhelming. I love that Bloom is designed for those who don’t have a ton of time to spend on managing their emotions. When I click on the app each morning, there’s a series of activities to complete. They take me a maximum of 30 minutes each day, and the best part is that I don’t have to complete them consecutively or all at once. This, to me, is what makes Bloom less underwhelming than other systems. For example, I used to journal my thoughts about a certain subject for an hour, and was required to do this everyday. Doing the same thing over and over got tiring, and wasn’t sustainable. I even fell asleep during these journals. And sometimes, I just couldn’t find the time to do them all at once. Bloom’s videos are always new and different each day, so I never find myself complacent. They’re very engaging and often change my perspective about myself. Brilliant. Allows you to be fully honest.This app is helping me so much and I’d recommend it to anyone who is struggling with their mental health, or even to anyone who is just interested in self improvement. I recently paid a lot of money for BetterHelp, but quit my subscription when I realised it wasn’t really helping. This app is helping far more with my mental health, and for just a fraction of the price. I’m quite an awkward person so I found that I was never fully honest in therapy with an actual person, or I would just say what I thought they wanted me to say when they asked each question. With this app, it’s much easier for me to be honest as it’s just for me to see. This makes the healing process much easier as you actually address the problems and allow your real emotions to come up. Zillion Out of 10 StarsBest app on earth. After having a Masters in engineering, then studying UX Design this is one of the cleanest, simple, and nicest looking apps I've ever encounter. And take it from a guy who is now 35 and been paying through therapy sessions since age 27. Also being part of the LGBT community, being formerly bullied and tessed in middle, high school, and even a bit in college - life has been stressful. Never mind childhood distress where I also tried to no longer loce past the age of 14. I wanted a peaceful life but the conditions that surrounded me in America were anything but (I was born on a peaceful island an Portugal that was like paradise). The less than 10 sessions have meant more to me than the 8 years of therapy and 3 hospitalizations I've had (include one at McLean which is "best in the country").Version: 1.40.7

I love love this app!So, I came across Bloom because of an Instagram ad. I have been going to therapy since towards the end of 2020. Since going, I’ve been into learning more about therapy and circling becoming a therapist myself. My therapist has done some cbt techniques and was curious to learn more about it and find an app that would work for me when I want to take a break from therapy and come back for check ins with her. I’ve also shown her the app which and how I used a prompt to help me process losing a friend. Not only does bloom remind me that I’m growing by its name, I always come away feeling better. I’ve used different sessions to help understand family better and deal with a friendship break up (I would love a session specifically for when a friend breaks up with you). Just amazing - I often cry!This app has helped me discover so many things about myself. In a recent session about why I’m always angry, I learned that there is often an emotion that comes before anger. The anger sort of acts like a cover up to protect me from feeling the more vulnerable core emotion. For me this core emotion is fear - I cried during this session. A very very happy accident :)To be honest, I came across bloom in an ad, downloaded it and got the free trial, and didn’t touch it for that entire week. Once I saw that the $60 I forgot about had come out of my account, I knew it was a good idea to give it a shot. I’m so glad I did. I have bipolar disorder and anxiety. While I take many many medications to stay stable, I found that bloom was a great addition to my treatment. It kind of snuck up on me; but I’ve been waiting for this app for a very long time.I went into therapy after passing out only behind the wheel 4 years ago. Brain scans showed nothing wrong so our final solution was to see if it was stress related. After going I felt I could fly after only a couple weeks and since leaving therapy about 3 1/2 years ago I haven’t felt quite like it since and I didn’t have the money to go back. After a move across seas during COVID I was due to start passing out again but then after a blow out with my husband I found this app and after a while things got easier and easier. Phenomenal self help coaching HOWEVER.I absolutely love this app. When I feel sad and want a motherly voice to tell me it’s okay, I go to bloom for a quick session of crying and getting out stress I’m holding in. Absolutely love the current modern topics you have covered and even mention during the videos. HOWEVER as much as I appreciate both these coaches and the option to choose who to talk to me, I absolutely love Shernita. Her gentle and soft motherly voice really adds a soothing comforting touch when I need comfort. But I am sad and disappointed so many topics that I need do not have Shernita. Mike is sweet but I can not connect to much or get much comfort that I need that I get from Shernita. And I know others may relate. Do Please make more sessions with Shernita and for ones that are missing in some very crucial sessions including anxiety and depression. I started slowing down on coming to the app as Id just get sad every time I’d check in but the sessions I need wouldn’t have her..Version: 1.37.1

Practical and potentially life changingFilled with great ideas and strategies for approaching living and growing, in an empowering and open way. It’s very good. My only criticism would be that I can’t find a way to turn off the cheesy constant ambient synth drone sound that is ever present in the app. It gets intrusive after a while. It would be good to make it an option to turn it off. Other than that, it’s a very good app..Version: 1.31.1

The help I neededThis app has really started to help me in the last few weeks I’ve had it. So much so I’ve let my doctor know how good it is and told a friend to try it out too! Traditional CBT never worked for me. This does.Around 6 years ago, I tried working with several CBT therapists. I grew up in an invalidating environment, so I’m particularly sensitive to subtle invalidation. I felt like each of the CBT therapists I saw subtly invalidated what I felt by dismissing those feelings and focusing on my problematic behaviors. I couldn’t do the work when I felt overwhelmed with shame from feeling like a problem. I eventually settled into working with a bodywork therapist because they listened to what I felt and never judged me for the irrational behaviors I sometimes take. With Bloom, I finally get the value of CBT. I still have the bodywork techniques to settle my nervous system once I get worked up. And Bloom helps me to settle my thoughts so I don’t get worked up in the first place. I can do the work with Bloom because it treats me with compassion and validation. It never made me feel like a problem, and yet it still challenges me to be a better person..Version: 1.39.1

However, having had just one session already, I am here writing a review of what I think is an app that absolutely anybody on the entire planet could find beneficial. Life ChangingI’m a new stay at home mom with postpartum anxiety and without any childcare. Because of my lack of childcare, I have been unable to get the mental help I need, because I am not able to bring my young child to appointments. But, I desperately needed help because my anxiety was getting out of control, and I was starting to feel hopeless because I felt like I would never be able to get the help I needed, at least for years to come. This app however, without sounding cheesy, is honestly my light in the dark. I felt so hopeless, but then I found this and I feel motivated and I’m charge of my brain again and gave me the flexibility to get good help even though I don’t have any childcare support. I am beyond grateful that this app exists. It has and continues to greatly help me each and every day. A beautiful recoveryI hardly ever leave reviews and I have been putting off leaving this review until I have used this app more. I can’t wait any longer incase someone else is struggling as much as I was. I truly feel this app is bringing me back from the deepest darkest depression I have ever experienced. I not only struggle with depression but also intrusive thoughts and crazy anxiety and I cannot say how much this app has helped. I love making room to BLOOM !This app has been the perfect new addition to my self care practice. I love setting aside the time in my day to check in with ME and assess my wellbeing. It’s well worth the 5/10 minute investment. BloomI recently downloaded bloom it’s easy to use, the guides voices are calming and doesn’t take much time to do a session (making it easy to fit into your daily routine). My only feedback is that it’d be great to set a weekly session subject (for example overcoming procrastination). I feel quite overwhelmed using the app as each day is a different subject to focus on and it feels like I’m jumping around all over the place with too many things to try and pick up on/notice/focus on each week..Version: 1.36.1

Great supplement to therapyI have been in therapy for several months now and she has been nudging me to keep track of my thoughts and how I’m feeling. I randomly stumbled across this in an ad, and I’m so glad I tried it. I love that the sessions and prompts guide you through everything so you don’t have to think too hard — just answer the prompts and let your brain dump it all out. I like being able to type as little or as much as I want. I also love the other types of prompts for goals, affirmations, and the breathing exercises. The sessions are so soothing and they keep me engaged with writing prompts interspersed throughout. While I don’t think this is a substitute for therapy, it’s a great and relatively affordable companion to it and I could see this helping me through times I couldn’t get to a therapist. I’m deducting a star because I wish the stats were more robust. I want to be able to track how I’m feeling over a longer period of time than just the current week so I can identify any correlations or patterns in my mood. I hope that can be implemented in the future. Also, ignore the boomers in the other reviews crying about getting scammed. There’s literally a section in the settings called “Manage Subscription” that tells you how to cancel through the App Store. 🙄.Version: 1.40.0

Why it worksI see a psychoanalyst, psychologist and I use bloom to address my mental health issues and to keep things in check. What I find most useful for bloom is that it is not the heavy duty lifting kind of therapy but helps with ongoing monitoring, small incremental improvement and finding time to be with myself. The task is easy enough to not feel completely overwhelmed but it does need you to set aside quality time and a commitment to respond to the task genuinely in order to reap its benefit. While it’s not exactly interactive but the therapies are thought through and broken down in simple phases. So it does feel like a progressive dialogue that develops and there is someone there with me. More importantly, I have better and more constructive conversation with myself as the result of using bloom. It has helped me to avert many crisis while I can’t get to my support immediately..Version: 1.38.5

Mostly great!I sent an email about this also. This app is definitely heading a good direction. I am a CBT-focused therapist and constantly looking for tools to offer my clients. The one thing that I feel requires an immediate fix is the lack of transparency around pricing IN THE APP SETTINGS. I can dig around and find it, but people shouldn't have to do that. I'm noticing a few comments in the same vein here. When I'm using an app-based service of any kind that in some way or some version requires payment, I should be able to go into the settings for payment and billing info to see what, when, how I am being charged. Any company that stands behind it's product should feel comfortable with this. I actually really believe in this app and can't understand why Bloom wouldn't do that. Please don't add a stressor to users that may already be dealing with financial anxiety. Hi! Please read, this app has changed my life!!Hi, first of all, 10/10 I LOVE THIS APP! Even though I’m only using the free trial, it helps soooo much, I got this app yesterday and I used it for a couple hours, from then on in the day I had a couple mood swings but I felt happier and more appreciative for life. Don’t like the new updateI love this app. It has made a huge positive impact on my life and I have recommended it to lots of family and friends as a result. Best app I’ve ever usedI have tried many mental health apps. None of them hold a candle to this one. This is the missing link for therapy for me. Needs more contentI really like this app, but when I search for specific content I feel like there may be one session that applies and that is just not enough. I paid for a year of this app but it is obvious that I will run out of sessions that fit. As a parent I am really hoping they add in more content since there is only two sessions in this category. My last thought is that it would be really cool to have sessions that you can do with your child, teen, significant other, or close friend. Amazing appI was very sceptical about this app and have found CBT not very effective for me in the past but I can not praise this app enough. Good, and...The Good: The videos definitely help calm me and create mental space for me. Love the simple science shared about the techniques used. Definitely helps to understand what’s happening with my body and what the actionable steps are I can take to help myself. Needs Improvement: 1. The recent update (Sept 2020) has the app crashing every time I get to the part in the video where it asks me what I want to work on today. I literally can’t use the daily bloom video session... 2. Prior to update the app had glitched during a few videos skipping past the ability to make entries even though it asks you to. Can’t go back to it without doing whole video session again. 3. It doesn’t save all my entries, only some and they’re not all consistent of what ones it saves. I took good notes on what actions I could take for one video and they’re nowhere to be found. Bummer. 4. It says I’ve unlocked new exercises but there is nowhere to access them. While o did contact their help team, they said this feature to access these is not something that is available yet. Interesting to offer an inaccessible feature. Plus side is Elizabeth was super friendly and prompt to help. 4. You cannot drag the video player forward or back if you want to skip past something (app crashes and you have to start video session all over again), or want to repeat something..Version: 1.26.2

Awesome appLove this app. While this doesn’t replace actual therapy, it’s still great. I got the free trail but after the first day I knew I’d pay for the full version despite it being expensive. I struggle with mental health but also struggle to find a psychologist I can both afford and like going to. I figured I had already got more out of this app than one real therapy session where I paid more than this app cost, so for me it was worth it. I would still require actual therapy for some hardcore things, but this gets me through most of my daily anxiety issues, and I have high anxiety. In the perfect world I would try to use this app regularly because practice makes perfect, but I find I mostly turn to it if I’m having a bad mental health day or something has triggered me to feel crappy, and I can just use this app to turn my day around and feel better. Love it. One of the few apps I’d pay for and I don’t regret it at all. Some small app glitches like I get told I have a notification or message waiting for me but I can’t see it, or sometimes it forgets what I’ve completed or what I’d set up on my Home Screen favourites, but nothing too annoying..Version: 1.41.1

Honest review from a skeptical guyI came across this app 30min ago while scrolling on a depressive wall full of the achievements on my Instagram feed. I took a leap of faith and accepted the free trail. All I can say from a VERY skeptical person millennial, is that this was by far the most relief I had felt in any therapy app that I’ve downloaded (and no, I don’t work or have any association with this company). Being able to write down how I feel, get the questions that my mind is scared to ask itself and have this interactive session with my own brain was both relaxing and enlightening. Sorry for sounding cheesy all of a sudden, but feeling very grateful for being alive right now, so sharing the goodness with anyone who’s curious if this would work at all. We’re all different, so my advise is to give it a go, and if not for you then you have 7 days to leave before they bill you- so you won’t lose anything and instead gain at least some wisdom about yourself to help you get through a bad day... A couple of glitches but, overall, greatMy therapist was on an almost three-month leave and, with no true friends to talk to, I was severely isolated. I decided that I would use the time to work on the things I would normally have worked on with her. CBT was a big one and, thankfully, I found Bloom. I tried it and loved it almost immediately. I didn't even think twice when I started getting charged monthly for it. My only issue with it is that sometimes when doing a smaller video session, the journal prompt won't come up, or it'll randomly pop up in the middle of a sentence and completely throw off my rhythm. This can be rather stress-inducing because you may want to just dump all your thoughts out before you “meditate” on them, but suddenly you're forced to try and hold onto them while also listening to what the CBT guide is saying and hoping that the prompt shows up all at once. One thing I also would like to see is some incorporation of MBTI, as demonstrated in some of their Instagram ads. That's what drew me in, in the first place, and it was sort of disappointing not to explore more personalized sessions based on personality and preferences..Version: 1.38.6

Very helpful for stressI have been using Bloom since March 2021. I downloaded it to help focus on positive things I wanted to work towards in my life. More recently I have been struggling with anxiety and work and the sessions have been absolutely a game changer for how I’m thinking about these situations. Structured careI love Bloom in my life, slowly, gently, steadily untangling my muddled up mind. I just have a technical issue, not sure where is the best place to request this. Really rad app!The good: great content that covers an incredibly wide field of emotions. Really teaches the basics of CBT to help users build a strong foundation. Programs are fantastic. I've had a really rough time the last 6+ months and this has been a game changer and mental health life saver. Suggestions for the app developers: very small things! First: If you restart a program, it doesn't show up on your home-screen like it does the first time (and automatically loads the next days once completed). You have to either remember what you did or check your entries log, then go to the program and manually start the next video in that program. If there was a way to repeat an already completed program without having to go through these steps every time, it would be that much more better. Second: it would be great if there was a way to collaborate with Apple Health so that this counts towards your "Mindfulness" minutes, similar to apps like "Insight Timed" have this sort of relationship. Feels like a hugI started this app in a low moment, and I think I really needed to hear what it has to say. I’m doing the free trial and chose Mike and the kindness and warmth in his voice is really a balm. I normally use Headspace, which I love, but there’s a warmness and caring in the session I just completed on Bloom that I haven’t felt in other apps. Feels like a hug. I’ve done CBT before as workbooks (Mind over Mood, I think it was called) and I loved it, but the book doesn’t have the nudge or notification features (obviously, lol)and I’m sure it tracks my mood trends in a way that the book can’t (automatically, that is) so that’s very useful. I will use this every day from now. The calm measured advice and exercises asking me to reflect on my thoughts has helped me so much!
