✓ Need even more levels!I absolutely love this game and spent the summer finishing every level. It is highly addicting and so adorable. I am wondering, are there going to be no more updates? I would love to play more levels or do more activities in the game but the network is also down and I am unable to connect so I can’t play any of the challenges. Please, I would love if not an actual update but a written one saying the plan for this app, is it finished? Thank you.Version: 2.91
✓ No Longer Confused!!I have decided to re- write my review and upgrade my rating since I last wrote and was having an issue with the language option. I love, love, LOVE this game. After working out how to change the language back to English - a puzzle within itself (thank you Kolo Droguett*) - I was able to happily continue playing this game. The artwork is just beautiful and the puzzles are fantastic and fun. Not a game for the impatient, but hours of fun if you enjoy searching out (sometimes very tiny) hidden objects, finding matching items and spotting differences. Please, please, please tell me there will be more scenes coming .... particularly the more intricate scenes where you have to find 8, 16 or 24 items. Also, it would be great to add further levels to the already existing scenes or make them replayable with some of the same items in the list, thereby making it something of a memory game too. ✓ Amazing game, but promotes false advertisementThis game is wonderful, addictive, and much better than I expected, BUT you are forced to watch ads often, and these ads are FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Gardenscapes, Fishdom, etc. I know that the people at Dream Detective have to make money, but I’m not okay with people from these other companies profiting from this app. Overall, I would recommend the game, but only if you have lots of time to kill and try not to watch the ads..Version: 2.8
✓ Best Hidden Object Game EVER!I have thoroughly enjoyed this game! Sadly, I’ve completed all the current levels! Please create some more! There is so much to see in each and every level. Obviously the creator has talent and imagination to spare! I loved clicking on each of the little people to see their random and funny comments. It really adds character and personality to the game. ✓ It ends too quick, but worth the download.It seems I’ve come to the end of the game. Hopefully the devs continue to creat new puzzles to play, as it is certainly enjoyable. I could do without the mini puzzles; I much prefer the long searches with lots of items to find. Sometimes the swirling, flashing and spinning in the mini games is too much, and leaves you feeling dizzy. Overall, the graphics a are cute and relevant, and the game entertaining. If you have played hidden folks (amazing beat several times) then you will love this game. ✓ Would Be Fun…butI downloaded this app on my tablet because I was amazed by the art style and reviews, but I was very disappointed shortly after. Before I could even get into the the story I was kicked out of the game completely. The same kept happing after a few more tries until I realized it wouldn’t work. I downloaded the same app on my phone and I’m happy to say it worked smoothly. I would HIGHLY recommended this app for art lovers and people who love scavenger hunts. I hope that one day I will be able to play this app on my tablet without being kicked out and I think it is something the developers should work on. ✓ Rewards bugI love the network mode, have no problem to connect network now (was a problem but not anymore). However the double rewards by watching ad is not working properly. Instead doubling the reward, it only adds 10 coins. Hope this will be fixed..Version: 2.91
✓ Wholesome and Fulfilling Game for All AgesI suffered from depression for years and I decided to download this game to relax. I loved it from the first level; the graphics are charming and the characters are so cute. Then I got to the “Crossroads of Life” level. Once completed, it gives you a message to reach out to your friends who are depressed because they will appreciate the support. I was touched and comforted by this message, and I love the developers for doing this. I agree with them; nice words from friends heal me up so well. I had to write a review and give them five stars because of this. Unfortunately, many games tend to care little about their consumers’ health and build their systems around addiction and greed. This game doesn’t do that. It gives you frequent notices before and after levels to get up and stretch, move your head, and much more. I appreciate everything the developers have done for us so far..Version: 2.91
✓ Love It!This game is so adorable and well made. I love the creativity of all the worlds and it’s fun to take a moment and just study the detail that went into making each level. I made an in app purchase which gives me unlimited energy and hints, as well as no ads. It was worth the money for me to be able to play uninterrupted. Since I’ve had this game for awhile, I’ve completed every level and my biggest complaint (and the reason why I don’t give it 5 stars) is there’s no replay value in the game. Once you’ve completed the level, that’s it. There seems to be no way to erase your progress and replay. I’ve tried logging out, deleting the game and re-downloading it, and everything else I can think of. But there’s really no way for me to replay the levels because everything has been found and I can’t undo my progress. I would also love if the developers would make more main levels that are untimed, I don’t care for the mini game levels that have a timer. Overall, it’s a great game and I hope more levels are coming soon!.Version: 2.91

✓ Only love 1 modeThe game is fun and I love taking my time in finding each object slowly. I’m saying that, I only like the mode where you are finding 16 items and have infinite time to do so. The rest of the speed or timed modes aren’t my cup of tea. If it were my choice, I would scrap every other mode and focus only on the 16 item finding mode because I don’t focus on rewards very much. ✓ Relaxing game 😌Recently I’ve been very impatient towards everything. Everything I do I want it done right away. Looking for these objects helped me to fix that problem. I find the limited energy bar a great touch. This game is something you should play when you’re angry, upset, or feeling impatient because you become focused on finding the object, thus helping you forget what you were angry or upset about. Same concept as ispy and any other books like those but this is just beautifully made version of a game. Almost every character in the puzzles have dialogues when you click on them. ✓ There’s A LOT Going on in this gameThere is A LOT going on in this game. I love the thought that was put into it to theme them from different movies and stuff. I enjoy building the castle part and the scavenger hunt style maps with different items to find but the “Where’s Waldo” type timed ones aren’t fun for me, sorry. It’s like trying to find Waldo in the crowd of people dressed like Waldo but TIMED. I also just experienced my first bout of nausea from the level with the Salvador Dalí clocks, that seriously made me want to barf from the spinning. ✓ No sound or musicFirst, the language is CHINESE. NOT Japanese, and certainly not Korean either. The language can be changed. From first downloading the app, 1) tap the screen to take you to the tutorial, which is after an introduction which you can skip by pressing the button in the upper right hand corner. 2) run through the tutorial in Chinese. It’s a very simple hidden-object game. The objects to find are at the bottom, a ball, a hairbrush, and something else. It’s the tutorial level, it’s easy. Scroll around, click the objects, you’re done. 3) after that you will be taken to a menu. The menu has a profile avatar in the upper left hand corner. It also has a settings icon. Click the settings icon. 4) there’s a bunch of settings buttons in Chinese. Click on the one TO THE RIGHT of the avatar button. Not the avatar button itself. That’s the language button. Change your language. Bug: there’s no noise or music in the game. It’s completely silent. I also hate energy but at least there’s a ($6) option to buy it off. That’s better than literally any other game with energy. I hope $6 also gets you no ads too. Right now I’ve counted 86 “levels”. I’m not sure if there’s more or not. The drawings are lovely. The music might be too, if I could listen to it. Fix the sound problems. There’s an offline mode. I’m not sure what functions are restricted in offline mode, but loading in airplane mode triggers it..Version: 2.9

✓ Beautiful!Upon booting Dream Detective, you may notice that the game is in what I'm assuming to be Chinese. It is easy to change the language to English (or whichever one you prefer) - just follow the instructions in one of the other reviews here. ”Necessary” translation aside... it is obvious that a lot of love and thought went into the game's development. There is an incredible amount of detail in the in-game environments, and tapping on characters in scenes allows you to see their inner thoughts. Rewards of coins, energy and avatar accessories are generous and encourage the player to keep coming back. Paid upgrades won’t cost the earth and are completely optional. The developers even insert “rest your eyes” messages amongst the loading screens! Another plus is the plethora of game modes in addition to the storyline - Adventure, Blitz, Survival... even a Screaming mode for (literally) crying out loud! The 30 energy, although limited, is more than enough for several explorations, considering they cost 2-5 energy each. Hints are also easy to come by if you're willing to watch adverts whenever you need them. Dream Detective is a new and refreshing break from the monotony of other hidden object games - there are no match-three puzzles, boring generic avatars or “help me find this” missions in sight. Some levels test your ability to distinguish the object you need from a selection of very similar objects, while others play out similar to a typical hidden object scene - the only difference being that tapping on objects/characters you have to find will drop vague clues. TL;DR - Well worth trying when you have the time. A unique take on the hidden object genre that will leave you spellbound. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from me!.Version: 2.9
✓ Decent?I think the actual artists and writers behind this are very talented. I love the gold guilded levels with so much fun and interesting details. However I thought there might be more story based progressions but after the opening sequence it becomes a classic collect and pay for gems, energy, whatnot. I think a lot of the things like the castle and mini levels are completely useless. Like I see the effort put into them but I don’t want them? I just want detailed maps to click and find. No energy, no transactions, just enjoying the art and details of the complex maps. I’d rather pay 5-8$ to play a clean game with minimal menue/adverts than a free and kind of messy game (with granted a TON of promise!) So less things, more maps..Version: 2.91
✓ So creative and fun!I adore this game it’s so much fun! It’s like a where’s Waldo without corny Waldo or a look and find book with some seriously hard stuff to find! ✓ Delightful Game!What a hoot! The basic play and graphics are really clever and fun, but the real prize is that it IS loaded with pop culture references. You find yourself looking for an object and then going, “Wait a minute....is that....?” And it is. My first aha moment was noticing the twins from “The Shining.” Initially, it took me a few minutes to figure out where to start — senior moment — but after the the first few levels, the fun really begins! ✓ Love the game but 1 thing needs fixing!I just downloaded this game and I’m already addicted, I really love all the tips and I find them rlly helpful:) Thte one thing I do have issue with in the “Indian” named hat that you can put on your avatar. The developers may not know this but that’s not a correct term and it’s pretty offensive. Having it as an option in the store for an app that isn’t made by native americans is cultural appropriation :O which is something I’m sure you wouldn’t want associated with your wonderful app. Just saying, I would give your app 5 stars if you took away the “Indian” hat:).Version: 2.91

✓ Gorgeous, Engaging, Worth ItI bought the in-app Dream Pass and Luxury Supreme Package because I couldn’t pass up supporting such a beautiful, detailed game. I don’t even have the patience to tap on every little head to read every little chat bubble... but I sure am tempted. The amount of time that must have gone into this game is astounding; I find it fun and challenging, with just the right amount of frustration to keep me interested. There are TONS of levels and ways to customize that make it a long-lasting investment rather than a quick game to buy and delete a week later. (I also prefer to keep games that make me think or use my brain, which this does!) My only complaint is the music, honestly; I had to mute the game because the melody is distracting and repeats itself awkwardly. But it’s probably better for me to play in silence anyway, haha. ✓ Shockingly good and somehow freeI didn’t expect this game to be as good as it is, mostly because I’ve found free puzzle games on mobile usually aren’t, but my gosh this game surpassed my expectations immediately! It’s got its flaws, the timed ones can be stressful. The crossroads of life one, while a great message and inventive, was hard on my eyes with all the colors and the flashing of day and night. And sometimes things hidden are tiny and on the same color background so hard as hell to find. EVEN THEN, the positives far outweigh the negatives!! This game is GORGEOUS! The art is absolutely lovely and the music is nice and relaxing. The challenge of the levels starts out easy and ramps up slow so the learning curve isn’t too steep. The levels are also extremely varied and inventive from what I’ve seen so far! With all of that, you can ALSO even decorate your home base castle, collect little “elf” characters, and customize your own little avatar! 5/5 would definitely recommend anyone who likes hidden object and spot the differences kind of puzzles should give it a try!.Version: 1.9
