Great app but…….I really like this app but it won’t connect with Apple Health app no matter what i do!.Version: 2.2

Was great, but the way ads are now? After trying a few different apps to track hydration, this became my favorite … but in the last couple versions, the ads have just gotten ridiculous. Lately I’ve even seen bogus “your phone is infected” ads, suggesting that some of these ads probably have virus/malware risks associated with them. I completely understand that you need to sell advertising to make a free app sustainable. Totally get it. So banners at the bottom (or even the top) of the screen? Totally fine. But the way they are now - with full screen ads that actually STOP you from logging something - and INVARIABLY advertise something you either already have or is COMPLETELY irrelevant to you (listen, I already have Facebook and Instagram- for better or worse - and I’m never buying anything from Temu no matter how many ads you show me) … well, suffice to say, I’m aggressively researching other hydration tracking apps. Congrats, you guys, you’ve likely found the point where advertising actually COSTS you business..Version: 2.4

Ok, but way too many adsThe app is OK, nothing fancy, which is fine. It could offer more drink choice types (no coffee drinks), and it isn’t clear where the water percentages have come from. The amount of ads it serves is however excessive and for that reason I’ll be stopping to use it..Version: 2.3

Help with remindingHelps but advertising isn’t relevant. Plus it would help if you could set size for different drinks.Version: 2.2

Pretty good, could be betterDoes what it’s supposed to do pretty well. I just wish it had an adaptive schedule that worked around when you actually had the glass of water, vs the hour it just waits to remind you on the hour..Version: 2.2

Ok could use some updatesI’ve had this app for about two days now and it’s really helped my overall water intake. the design is pretty good, like how I can see my history and statistics, I also quite like how u can customize ur own notification to help really motivate u, it’s also nice how u can add many other drinks. There’s just a few things you that I think could make this app work a bit better. First of all there’s only military time and if there was an option for the twelve hour clock system that would help a whole lot. Secondly if this could be a widget that would be helpful so I don’t have to open the app every time I need to log a bit of water. It would also be nice if I could add water the day after if say I was out and forgot to log it also if u could subtract water in case u accidentally added to much that would help. Also if I could customize notifications to say different thing for different notifications that would be a nice perk. Overall a good app that I’ll continue to use a few of these updates (especially the clocks one) could be extremely helpful though!.Version: 1.3

App is fine, but doesn’t respect my “no thanks” decision to do a reviewI’m not one for doing app reviews. When prompted by an app to review it, I usually say “no thanks”. This app was no different. Unlike other apps, this app continues to bug you every time you start the app to review it and doesn’t respect your choice to say “no thanks”. This is extremely annoying and the reason I’m giving the app 1 star. Otherwise it’s a 3-4 star app. It’s also not clear how to turn off ads even by paying for it. One feature I like is that the app gives you “credit” for drinking water proportionally based on what you drink. For example, if you drink a 16 oz hard cider, the app will actually take away 8oz from your water total (-0.5 factor) which reflects that drinking alcohol will dehydrate you. The only issue I have with this is it’s not stated where this data comes from? How does the app know drinking a cider has a hydration factor of -0.5 (meaning multiply the amount drank by -0.5 to get the amount of hydration gained or lost)? Although none stand out as blatantly wrong, I would like to dive deeper on the source of this to see if it’s based on actual science or just a good guess..Version: 1.8

Useful but ads are excessive.Update to previous review… ads have become very frustrating and excessive. there is always a banner ad at the bottom of the screen, fine, whatever, but every time i go to do anything an ad pops up, and it’s hard to close because the x is way in the corner, and then when you close that, another pops up immediately? how about one ad at a time guys. it’s ridiculous and i’m sure a lot of ppl delete the app after that experience. Very useful app. Has a pretty good variety of choices, although there are some odd ones (“red candy soap”) as well as some unusual classifications. I’d LOVE if i could favorite the ones i use over and over again, cuz sometimes it’s hard to remember where things are hidden, like kombucha is under “tea” instead of what i’d expect, “fermented beverages” - but nonetheless, very useful app that helps me stay on top of my hydration daily..Version: 2.3

Kill the advertisingThere are some dodgy reviews about no nasties after install. The advertisements are NASTY.Version: 1.5

Not badNo option for coffee.Version: 2.2

Looks good not greatDeleting.Version: 2.2

Good app but “warning” msg a bit off-puttingThe app is great with regular reminders throughout the day to drink water. There are a selection of drinks to choose from to help calculate water intake, and the graphics are also great. But the “warning” that I haven’t drunk enough water is really discouraging. Especially as I got the app to help me drink more water, and it’s a struggle. I highly recommend turning that warning into a note of encouragement, like “you reached 50% of your goal water intake, well done! Keep trying” or something..Version: 1.7

Great app but constant ads and review promptsFantastic app, probably the best water app on the market, if only there was a paid version to remove constant aggressive advertising. You want to quickly log your water intake and instead you are forced to sit there and watch useless ads. Every time. Very frustrating. Please give your customers an option..Version: 1.8

Started out great...Look, I don’t mind a few ads here and there—people gotta get paid one way or another. And it worked just fine, nagged next without being too obnoxious and really kept me on target, which is important because I have to drink a lot of water for medical reasons. Then all of a sudden, they have this ad for a stupid game that goes on and on. Okay whatever. I can wait a full minute or so and then exit out using the microscopic X in the corner. Yeah. Good luck with that. All it does is repeatedly take you to said stupid app. Basically, it appears they have taken this perfectly good app and turned it into a bait and switch for a stupid game. What a shame. It would have been far more effective for them to charge like $1.99—which is more than reasonable and I’m sure most people wouldn’t have a problem with (I know I wouldn’t), but instead they have resorted to sleazy grifter tactics. Deleted..Version: 1.7

Easy to use, effectiveI went looking for an app to track water intake, this is the only truly free app. You cannot even buy off the ads, but they are not intrusive and almost all are directly relevant to the app. Two suggestions: since caffeine dehydrates you as much as alcohol, energy drinks and coffee should count as negatives; I’d like a little more selection available for us here in the US, like decaf coffee, caffeine-free soda, and maybe a customizable slot. Overall, a very nice app. ***update: not so impressed with this app anymore. The ads used to be few and far between; they are now much more frequent and sometimes doubled up. Yes, double adds. Multiple times today, I had to close two ads just to record drinking 12oz water. And still not possible to buy your way out of dealing with ads. I’m done..Version: 2.4

Great App But Intrusive AdsI recently almost died from a big kidney stone so I’m highly motivated to drink more and track what I drink. So far, this is the best app I’ve found. It gives flexibility to note how much, what & when you drink something. You can go back and look at what you’ve recorded. And it has a beautiful graphic. But I’m close to deleting it because the ads are so intrusive. Today, the ad that came up when I wanted to record something wouldn’t let me close it. Every time I touched the ad, trying to close it, the App Store plus a page on Safari (related to the product) opened. I finally had to close and reopen this app to record the coffee I’d just finished. PLEASE offer an option to purchase an ad-free version. Otherwise, I’m going to delete this app!.Version: 1.6

STOP THE ADS!Looks like this app does what I need, but the ads make it unbearable to use. There doesn’t appear to be a way to purchase it or turn the ads off.Version: 2.1

Paid option required to remove adsCan we have a paid option to remove the ads please.Version: 2.2

To many advertisersTo many advertisers on the app now it sucks to use. This used to be a fantastic app before all the advertising..Version: 2.4

DisappointingYou cannot close the ads!!.Version: 2.4

Pros and ConsPros: I like the visual representation of how much water you have taken in, and I like the notifications. Cons: I can’t change the times for notifications because the pop up screen where you do that is blank. Also, I don’t like that you can’t input water or set goal amounts in even numbers. It is also not helpful that when you look at the details of a day in your history it shows you the percentage of your goal that you consumed, not the number of ounces. To know that, you have to add up all of the amounts you entered during the day. If it could switch between the percentage and the number of ounces, that would be best. Finally, on the main screen, I have no idea what “drink time” means..Version: 1.3

Good app but missing some featuresIt would be really nice to have more liquid options. Nobody is realistically only drinking water and sports drinks all day. Juice, soda, milk, etc should be added. It’s also hard to add water after the day is finished, I’m not going to open my phone to add the water I drink in the middle of the night. One last thing is that it would be nice to be able to edit past logs instead of just deleting them, and being able to select the time you drank would be great. Overall a useful app for me since I REALLY need to keep track of how much water I’m drinking, but it needs some improvement to really be what most people need..Version: 2.2

Good app but over advertisingThe app is very good; it has different drinks so you can view what each does for your body and the notifications are awesome too. I have one big irritating issue, the amount of advertisements that pop up every time you move on the app is ridiculously extra. You open the app and there’s an add, you move to a drink and another add pops up then create an amount of hydration; there’s another add. You can’t really navigate anywhere to find out more about the app without having to wait for the advertiser. I would give it 5 stars but the advertising is terrible. I know it’s free but if I want to purchase add free there are better options than this..Version: 2.4

Not bad if less adsGood app but too many ads to make it really worth using..Version: 2.4

Too annoyingI downloaded it, looked to see how it worked, and there was a big annoying advert across the bottom of the screen, brighter than everything else, with a big “install” button. It would be too easy to click that by mistake, so it was an immediate turn off. I deleted the app..Version: 2.2

Great reminder for drinking water+I needed a way to track my water intake. Looked at several softwares and found Drink Water. Most software is complex offering many options when simple is better. Drink Water is just that simply a water tracking software with reminders. The software could be improved through increase precision with body mass requirements of water. The software could integrate with other health software for calculating nutritional value of all consumables. Overall a simple, easy to use, water intake tracking software. Just what is desired for tracking water. One star was taken based on advertisements in software and one star for purchase options (one time versus a subscription model).Version: 2.2

Ad function ruins the app.The app is easy to use and helps me keep track of how much water I’m drinking. What is extremely annoying is that they’ve made it very difficult to get back to the ad after an ad plays. There is an ‘x’ you need to press to get back to app and it’s so far up in the left or right top corner, depending on the ad, that it’s very very difficult to touch the exact place to return to the app and you get taken to App Store to download some crappy game. I’ve resorted to have to shutdown the app entirely and open it again. I’ll probably find another app to use that doesn’t have this issue. I can handle the ad but after I watch it just let me go back to the app!.Version: 1.8
