✓ Pocket stylerI’ve been playing since launch. It’s one of the best games on the App Store, there is always things to do, Manhattan ladies, duels etc and seasonal events for limited items. The scoring can be hit or miss but I love collecting items for my wardrobe and dressing up for events. It’s always exciting when a new collection arrives. The premium faces are gorgeous, would love some new ones added as I’ve had them all for a while. All in all it’s a good game, I dont struggle to earn diamonds it’s very possible to earn enough to buy new items..Version: 5.2.4

✓ SCAMSo the game itself is great. I love fashion designing and this is the perfect game for that. You have a variety of skin colors and race types. But you have to pay 5000 gems to be Asian. Gems are hard to some by without paying. That being said I haven’t spent a penny in this game and I’ve had a great experience. Adds aren’t overly excessive but they aren’t great. They show abusive dads and cheating men. They are adds for a merging game that have nothing to do with any of that. I recommend the developers getting new sponsors. The other thing is whenever I try to get double rewards it’s says my internet is messed up even though I have full bars. One time when it updated it took all my gems and money that I had been saving up for and I had to contact customer service in order to get them back. Overall it’s a great game with just a few bumps. ✓ Please add MORE cash items.I enjoy this game, and play it everyday after work. My BIGGEST issue is that there are not many items that have the option to use cash, when new ones do come out there’s usually only a handful. 90 percent of the items require diamonds, a RIDICULOUS amount of diamonds at that. Seeing how diamonds are harder to come by, you would think they would have more items that require cash although I know that’s a ploy to get us to use cash IRL to purchase diamonds. At this moment, I have about $60,000 and around 100 diamonds. I have already purchased pretty much EVERY item that required cash and can no longer buy anything new (which, let’s admit, is a requirement to get high scores, in order to win diamonds) because I will not cash out anymore of my real life money for fake items. I’m sure this review is a long shot, since it seem all the other similar reviews have fallen on deaf ears..Version: 6.1.3
✓ Great but so glitchy latelyUsed to love this game and played it religiously with no hassles and it worked perfectly. But the last 3 weeks are a nightmare and incredibly frustrating. I have to constantly reboot the game because the “watch” and “double reward” buttons constantly freeze the game. So irritating. And then when you go back in you lose all your rewards and opportunities to earn those rewards. I feel like the game is pushing for money spending and I don’t appreciate that. ✓ Great.Few things you could change:No followers, have things not be so much fake money and I only have 13 followers but some people have a million. Follow Angel In The Sky. ✓ Fun but expensiveI love this game!! It’s addicting!! The only reason I don’t play more is because I don’t have real money to finish all the challenges so I do the best I can with what I get. The problems are: 1. That it has glitches and sometimes it freezes and doesn’t give you the money or gems you’re supposed to get. 2. It’s set up in such a way that you have to spend real money in order to achieve leader status. Clothes is very expensive. It is very hard to get gems and sometimes the challenges don’t even include clothes that can be bought with money. 3. Rewards don’t even come close to your investment. To get a very nice style yo invest from 600 to 1200 gems. However, if you get to get the four star reward it is only about 160 gems. Not even half your investment! If you get the five stars (which I find hard because I refuse to pair things up just because of bonuses and not because I like the look), you get an item, but that item is still a cheap one and it doesn’t even come close to your investment. Like I said, gun but frustrating if you don’t want to spend real money on it..Version: 3.0.2
✓ Fun gameI actually genuinely enjoy playing this game. It’s a very kid friendly game which is a plus, my 5 year old niece had me download it to the iPad so she could play when she’s with me. We both like that they made it to where you can buy more clothes with the in game cash now, definitely made it a little easier to purchase stuff for your wardrobe without spending a lot of money since I buy for both of us. Anytime I’ve contacted support with a game play issue they’ve always responded within 2 days to help me. My only complaint is how hard it is to get 5 stars without having new clothing items. It’s hard to compete and rank high enough in events to get limited clothing items if you have already wore all of your stuff in regular game play. I purchase every collection when it comes out but since I play this game religiously I wear everything I buy within a week of it being released.Version: 4.0.0

✓ Challenging and addicting gameI’ve been playing this game for about a year and I love the way it has grown. The developers really seem to listen to the users. Recently they have rolled out beta to design your own clothing, adding a whole new depth to the game, really making me feel connected to other players, and allowing players to make gems in many ways, not just by buying them. I hope this new feature will not be too overwhelming once it is opened to all players. The game is challenging and the competition is fierce. Some of the clothes are just really beautiful with new items added often, I really look forward to each new collection. If I have one suggestion for the developers it would be, make the prizes available to more players, as the community grows, it’s just getting harder and harder to place in the top 200. This is the best mobile game I have ever played and I’m very excited to see where the developers take it :).Version: 6.1.1
✓ Addictive but pricey!Ok, I’ll admit. I’ve become addicted to this game and have spent way too much money on it. Issues: 1. The cost of clothing is ridiculous and I could have spent money on REAL LIFE designer clothes by now with what I’ve spent on this game to ensure I can at least complete a whole days worth of events. The diamond prices are way too high in terms of what you get for value - a digital version of a real life item.. I’m embarrassed that I’ve spent money on this and I honestly don’t know how the high ranking players afford it. Unless it’s cheaper in different countries than here in Australia - idk... 2. The voting system is corrupt. Seeing some of the designs of highly ranked players and the scores they get.. some have the ugliest designs submitted.. there must be something fishy going on or favouritism because it just doesn’t add up… 3. The ADs OMG! Some featuring domestic violence and deliberately portraying women as desperate single mothers and THOTs - that deserve to be cheated on because they haven’t put any effort into their appearance - really terrible and totally sends the wrong messages to young girls that may be playing!! 4. At times reward money is not added to cash or diamond balance. That’s a bit fcked given we spend so much cash on it. ✓ Make more items with cashLoved this game until I used up all the items you can pay with cash. I have so much cash that I can’t use as every new season of clothing there are only a certain amount of items you can pay with cash where the rest are with gems and the items are getting more and more expensive! This makes it difficult to do the unworn bonus and score a higher score which allows you to win more gems which you need in order to buy new clothes! You need an option where you can buy more gems with cash!! I also don’t understand the scoring process as I can submit a look with an unworn bonus and consumables and get a low score then do the same outfit again with no unworn bonus and consumables and get a higher score - so frustrating. I also submit very nice looks which score badly then I see some others peoples looks which are ridiculous and score over 6! ✓ Free play maybe?Amazing app, no super annoying pop ups or anything like that. My only request is maybe add a free play function? So there’s just a button and you can style anything on your avatar without paying. It wouldn’t interfere with the other stuff, you’d still have to use diamonds and everything but maybe that would be good. ✓ Please Get Rid of Ads from the Game “Chapters”I really love Pocket Styler, it’s basically a version of paper dolls, something I enjoyed playing as a child. I love making up different outfits. However, I am disturbed by the advertisements from the game “Chapters”.I know that your game needs advertising in order to generate revenue. For the most part, the ads I’ve seen on your game have been benign. Today, however, I had the misfortune to experience several ads for the game “Chapters”. The ads for this game are sexually explicit, and quite frankly- disgusting. I love Pocket Styler, but I will have to delete the game if I must be subjected to any more sexually explicit ads. This is a real shame because Pocket Styler is a family friendly game (except for some of the tops, which are too revealing). ***Update- I have since deleted Pocket Styler due to seeing sexually explicit and disturbing ads for the game “Chapters”. ✓ Some Bias IssuesI really enjoy this game and play it frequently. My only issue is that I worry unconscious bias has crept into the voting process. I noticed that avatars with darker skin tones rarely rise in the ranks. I’m not saying there’s anything racist about the game or the players. But we all have unconscious biases and when we’re quickly comparing looks, it’s easy for our societal preferences for light skin tones to emerge (though this is largely subconscious). There is ample research available about unconscious bias that backs up this process. I sent an email through their feedback function suggesting that maybe the algorithm could be adjusted so that avatars of similar skin tones could be voted on, that way skin color isn’t a factor at all in our votes. I never heard back and haven’t observed any changes. Maybe it isn’t as easy to adjust the algorithm as I imagine, but I hope they can figure out a way to make the game more racially inclusive..Version: 3.0.0
✓ This game is great!I love this game! It has great outfit choices! The people give you tasks and certain fabrics and brands that they want in their outfits. Sometimes the requirements are really hard, and you don’t have enough cash to buy stuff that matches their needs. They are very specific requirements. They have a ton of events and you get to vote on outfits done by other people. They have A TON of clothes to choose from!!!! Some of them aren’t that nice, but others are really pretty. I also like that you get to customize your avatar. You have to unlock hairstyles though. Some stuff cost cash, and some cost diamonds. And diamonds are really hard to earn. ✓ What Style?This game is really fun & a great way to pass the time. I especially like that in voting, the category is now listed so people know what the outfit was for. However, over the past couple weeks, the requirements for each outfit have become ridiculous. Who is going to wear a glam leather skirt to go tandem bicycle riding? Who is going to wear faux fur shoes for a vip meeting with ceo? The requirements make the end result look silly and difficult to get a decent rating—or cost a ton of diamonds. UPDATE: The style has improved somewhat, but still makes no sense whatsoever for the event described. Latest issue is to meet the daily request in totality, you often have to implement trending bonuses. The last few days I’ve played, no item in my inventory (or even an item to purchase) has been marked as trending. This is automatically causing me to miss out on potential diamonds & game dollars. ✓ Much like covet fashionAs most styling games in 2021, this gone is kind of a knock off of covet fashion. It’s very fun and refreshing to have new graphics but it really mimics covet. I’d suggest that the events be more detailed in description. The event will have a name but not describe what the look should be. We need a backstory for the challenges. Also, I love the feature in vote where you randomly win diamonds and cash, but after you gain 5 tickets we should still be able to win cash. Since the clothing is so expensive, players should start off with more diamonds. As always, 4C (African American) hair texture doesn’t seem to get much diversity here. Not all of us have short hair. Make it longer! Seems a bit discriminatory actually. In the beginning you start off with 2 small afros..... it’s 2021, black girls are going natural more than ever and for that reason our hair has been much longer and thicker on average. The special events keep things interesting: my favorite ones are Manhattan Ladies and the fashion stories. I like the anticipation of new collections, too: i’m always excited to see what the new collection will be. However, I have a few suggestions: first of all please allow us to choose to tuck or untuck shirts in our outfits! It’ll make many shirts more versatile or wearable. there are many i don’t use because they don’t tuck and should or do tuck and should not. Many players wish for this feature. Another suggestion is using limited prizes from past special events as 5⭐️ prizes for elite and advanced events. Many of us have won most of the typical 5⭐️limited items and are running out. ✓ Great gameThe game is good, not very realistic as stated before. I am currently on top of the leaderboard but that’s through constant playing as there are always challenges to complete 😅. ✓ High-quality fashion game! Some new bugs though-The music is awesome, animations are realistic, and ads are at an all-time low. Absolutely love the quality of this game, though the new update has brought some major bugs with it. For example, when you’re voting, it blacks out and you have to reset the app for it to work again. Garments will multiply, and you’ll end up having three of the same item. Also, models glitch out and remove all clothes, hair and makeup sometimes right before you submit. ✓ Great Game needs minor tweaks fixedI absolutely am addicted to this game. I’ve only had the app for about a month or so and really enjoy playing the game. It’s a creative, yet competitive game that I truly enjoy playing. However, lately for the past two weeks it feels like the game lags and it cost you. For example the event I’m currently completing at the museum is an elite event (Street Art Show) and I bought a consumable for $1000 and the white shorts from the fresh off the runway collection as a new item for around $4000. So when I go to submit the look, it’s asking for purchase of the two items (consumable and white shorts) to be purchased again. It’s very frustrating considering I’ve earned the money and gems to create these looks and now I have to start over on gaining the money and gems all over again and possibly not be able to submit looks. ✓ Best game ever, but recent problem.Okay, straight to the point. I bought some hairs, and now I don’t have them. Basically, not too long ago you guys had a sale on the hairs, and they’re usually 500 gems but they were 300 gems (for the sale) I believe, and I bought three. I logged back in today after losing my phone, and found I only had one of the hairs. It’s slick back, but with braids. I’m sure you know it, that’s the only one I have though. And to double check for myself to see if I actually bought the hairs, I looked back to my previous looks because I knew I used the hairs in one. They were there. Yet, not in my inventory. I saw that I had used them, and had, had them. One of the hairs that disappeared from my inventory belong to the lady on the front cover of the loading screen, where it gives you tips and all of that. One of the other hairs that I don’t have anymore is just a slick back one, long too. No bangs or anything. So, if one of the owners or whatever end up reading this, I’d like it fixed. I don’t know if you need my account name or something, but please notice this. I believe one of my friends who also play had this problem as well, but with her clothing she bought disappearing. ✓ Great game! But.....I honestly am OBSESSED with this game, I play it every day with my sister and it is so great! But as good as it is, I have a few problems with it. First of all, I am constantly stuck between the gigs. Some of the requirements I can't afford! Like this guy with the curly red hair, telling me a requirement is a striped jumpsuit, but I don't own it and it costs like 7000$ bucks, making me look at my 6345$ and groan. Another thing, the duel event that just came out, the first time I did it, everything went as promised, but the second time around, it totally threw me off. I did the 10 votes, making the screen say "Searching for an opponent" and then it sent me to the leaderboard. If that wasn't bad enough, it still took away one of my duel tickets! I then tried again, and the same thing happened, so now I am scared to try again because it might happen again and I'll be left with no tickets at all! For that, I give it 4 stars, and without those flaws I give it 5. In conclusion I just really want you guys to fix these things if you can, I would really appreciate it. ✓ Overall the game was funI can’t lie I started playing one day after seeing it as an ad and have been playing since. BUT after the last 2 updates it force closes a lot, it’s not allowing you to collect the money or diamonds like you’re supposed to be able to, and it automatically changes up the color of the hair and eyebrows on any outfit that you’ve submitted (and no it doesn’t even change it to a nice color, mine is generally a light plum color hair and blonde eyebrows… and it doesn’t look right 😩). The changes that are being made are only after the app force closes, it’s not even the original styles that I chose. I honestly have no clue where the hair color selection comes from. Ex. I can submit a style with brown hair and plum tips or all brown hair with black eyebrows, but if the app force closes once it’s time to collect the stars the hair and eyebrows are a completely different color than what was submitted. Literally the hair and eyebrows changes to like a plum color and the eyebrows blonde. 🤷🏽♀️..Version: 3.0.2
✓ Glitches came alongThis game was great until the glitches came along I got a 5 star rating on one of my outfits but when I went to have another look at it (in my submitted looks) and apparently it was a 3 star rating!! Then if that wasn’t enough already I go to submit a look and it said not every item is bought and it was the shoes it said I had bought with my diamonds and apparently now they haven’t been bought! It’s not actually pricey because you don’t need to pay for anything - you can rise to the top without purchases. I didn’t pay for anything and I became trendsetter a few times! ✓ I don’t know what I’m voting forI love this game. I’m obsessed with it. I wake up in the middle of the night to make sure I don’t miss anything. I set up alarms and take it very seriously because I’m very competitive. I can’t say everything I love about this game because i love everything except one thing and it would take too long to name them all therefore, you’re gonna have to trust me and just go play the game. I promise that you won’t be disappointed. Like I said I’m very competitive and I take everything seriously. If they tell me to get dress for a wedding I’ll dress for a wedding, if it’s for a walk downtown, a bar, church, anything basically, I’ll try to dress accordingly. But not everyone is like this and sometimes when you’re voting for the same event you see two dolls wearing something completely different. Both pretty but you can tell they’re not going to the same place. Therefore I would really appreciate it if in the next update they ask “Who wore it better for a ladies night; specify the occasion. ✓ Great self contained gameThis is by far my favorite game. There are no ads to get extra play. It’s a very cohesive game. All the tasks are fun. To submit an outfit, you have to have a ticket and to earn a ticket you have to vote on others “who wore it best” outfits. Both phases of the game are enjoyable which is different than other games. In other games there are pieces that are frustrating like running out of lives or having to watch ads. This game has none of that, it’s just fun. And you can play it whenever. There are new events opened on the hour every hour. So there is usually minimal waiting in the game to do an activity. Others reviewers have complained about the lack of diversity. I did not find it lacking. I’m southern Asian and found the options varied. The only problem I found was the base lipstick colors weren’t flattering on the darker models but the no makeup look was fine..Version: 1.0.12

✓ Great little game but pricey!Great little game My little guilty pleasure to play and enjoy 😄 Couple of things, the clothes are ridiculously pricey meaning you have to buy extra gems and cash & the company easily make money from you from things being so extortionately priced. Also I was previously on level 18 I believe and needed 9000 influence to get to the next level now I’ve achieved that it’s jumped up to needing 20 thousand influence to get to the next level! So it seems you’ll be stuck on higher levels for a long time before you can progress to another level which is a shame. Is there any chance the time between events can be less? 9 hours between each voting/event is a long time so takes a long time to progress as you can only enter each destination a few times a day. I will continue playing as I enjoy it But maybe just a couple of things that the creators need to take on board as I know these put many people off which is a shame for such a good game. ✓ My experience and ideas for the gameEveryone is complaining about their experience when I’m doing great. I play this game 24/7 and I think it’s great but I think the game needs more items in cash and to make things not so expensive in gems because they are very hard to collect. I also suggest adding refunds to the game, this is what I think it’d be like = so if you had an item in your inventory that you didn’t like but it has been in there for a while then you can return it but not get the exact you paid for it but however if you only had it for a day or two then you can return it for the exact amount if you haven’t used it, so basically if you have already used the item and then returned it after then the price would go down 500 or 1000 depending on the price. That’s all I think Pocket Styler should change. Now for the people reading these reviews, some people have really bad experiences on this game but it doesn’t mean you will have the same it depends on how you play the game, like some people are rich on cash but poor on diamonds and unhappy when other people are rich on diamonds and okay with money and are happy with there inventory which is good or you can have people with okay money and okay diamonds. ✓ Great game overall I guessIt’s a great game and I play it more than I should because I prioritize it over school work. But if you have a lot of free time it’s super addicting and you should definitely consider downloading it. I don’t want to sound too critical but the only complaints I would have is that after a few days it becomes sort of a pay to win game and I’m trying not to spend real money in it but it’s hard when you can’t do any of the challenges because you don’t have and diamonds or money to complete them with. Also, I don’t know if this only happens to me but it says I get 300 diamonds for downloading other games by the game company that created it. That sounded like a great deal so I downloaded the game and played it for a little while but I didn’t get any diamonds. It’s not that big of a deal but I was still mad about it. One more thing I forgot to add was that the diamonds are super expensive it may not seem expensive if your rich and never played the game but if you played the game you’d realize that $1.99 for 750 diamonds is expensive considering 750 diamonds doenst buy much. ✓ Just got this, wish it was better😐Today I decided I wanted this fashion game. It looked fun, and the download size wasn’t too big, so I was very excited. I get on, and I’m dressing my avatar. But then, the screen darkens and these four white circles show and it never loads. My progress never stays on and the screen is always stopping and glitching.
