✓ ExcellentA great updated version of the arcade classic. Was nervous as it was free but there’s no in your face IAPs. Just one to get infinite charge. Plays very well. Well worth picking up Please Atari release more as this is an excellent start.Version: V0.54

✓ Nice Game but needs moreYou can get all the upgrades for free, the combat is pretty great. But there really needs to be more modes or something. And not just repaste modes (no, a time attack with nothing else but a timer from the original mode isn’t a sufficiently new mode for me). As it stands, it’s kind of bare bones. ✓ Fun but a bit frustrating at timesI love this game. But there are times when the touch screen completely loses sensitivity and you are frantically tapping the screen and nothing is happening. It’s not the reload setting as there are zero misses on the screen and it just won’t fire. Otherwise its a great reboot of a timeless classic. ✓ More fun without the trackball!Great update of the old classic, well worth ponying up for the IAP. Yes, there are significant strategic gameplay differences: unlimited missiles instead of the coin-op’s limited stockpile which forced you to be choosey about firing; no way to pick which specific base of the 3 to fire from; and no levels. But I’m happy without those to get solid touchscreen play. I only wish the action didn’t ramp up quite so fast, I’d like an Easy setting for a slower-paced round. Otherwise it’s lots of nostalgic fun!.Version: V0.56

✓ Fantastic reimagining - please go furtherThis is a wonderful re-work of a classic with beautiful design and fab music. Only criticism - you go so far and then the speed up makes getting much further impossible. So for the sequel - add waves so sections are completed and different attacking ships / types of missile appear in later sections. Keep the difficulty matched to the upgrades you can get so that the above mentioned wall of difficulty doesn’t suddenly appear. Get your composer to add more tracks in the John Carpenter vein. Lastly, maybe the second sequel - reverse the action and make it multiplayer - where you are the attacker and can play against a friend who’s defending..Version: 62

✓ Enjoyable time wasterIt’s a nicely designed game. I paid for the unlimited recharge but it sure what I got for my money. I’ve reached the limit of the upgrades and I don’t think the game play change that much. Need to be more upgrades or options to add on to make game play more interesting. The power-ups they float by are fun with the exception of the Rapid one. It seems to negatively impacting game play and slows down shooting the missiles so I try to avoid hitting it. Please fix it, improve it or at least explain what it is supposed to do. The leader boards and high scores don’t seem to work either. I managed to rack up a high score of 74050! All up I enjoy playing it when I’m waiting for someone and just need to waste a little time..Version: V0.56
✓ Good gameI really like this game, and give a review out to only a couple of games. I really like this one as well after watching a documentary about older games. When I found this I got it, and it’s really great. The only problem is is that when you get the rapid power up, it’s not so rapid and doesn’t respond that well..Version: 62

✓ One of the best mobile games!Addictive simple yet brilliant gameplay. Quick games, perfect for the medium. As far as being an updated arcade classic it's just right, with the nice flourish of the vector graphic aesthetic (which the original arcade game was not but that's okay here) refined even more strikingly. This game works particularly well by touch and actually improves upon the original's controls. It's right up there with Atari's Asteroids mobile remake. While not the case for console games, the best arcade games are exceedingly simple and that's where their elusive brilliance lies. Mobile is similar, as the platform is not conducive to longer or more complex play..Version: 62
✓ Atari is back?I’m seeing Atari’s branding popping up on all kinds of things recently including this iPhone version of the classic. It did not disappoint. It is amazing how fun these games still are and the mobile platform matches with the easy controls of the Atari games perfectly. Very enjoyable, very addictive game!.Version: 62
✓ The definitive Missile Command experienceWith one minor aggravating bug, this game runs fast and crazy fun on my iPad, a perfect “bite-sized” game for short breaks during the day. It’s fast-paced, exciting, and has the perfect IAP model (no ads, three plays without paying and then pay or wait for more). There is nothing about this game that someone who played the original in 1980 wouldn’t recognize and appreciate. Great job Atari! Now fix the “Rapid” bug..Version: V0.54

Was worried as being free I thought it would be advert after advert but nope it’s all great game play and you can pay a one off 2.99 and no waiting around to recharge. ✓ Great remakeThis game is great and a nice update to the classic Missile Command. The visuals are amazing. I would like it a lot more if the energy bar was a little larger like 5 instead of 3. It would be nice if they could add levels so we play in different locations. That could be tied into some kind of challenge mode were you beat a certain score and unlock a new location..Version: V0.56
✓ Reboot the NukeLike with any reimagined/updated arcade classic, there is a fine line that can be crossed where a new idea goes to far... or not far enough. MC:RECHARGED is a nice simplistic, vector graphic inspired, reboot of the classic Atari game. Gone is the cumbersome trackball to aim with, just touch and the missiles auto target that location. It’s actually brilliant game play wise, the new idea of the bunkers rebuilding themselves is great and the missile reload delay, also a nice touch. Meaning, no more limit to your ballistic stockpile... but the down side is once you get fully upgraded (which you can do rather quickly) that’s it. The game has no new missile types to offer or any other unlockables to strive for. ...and that VIRTUAL GAME CABINET feature, um, cool, for a minute. For the most part, it plays great but there’s no need to purchase the unlimited plays when it’s soo easy to play and get all the upgrades for free. I hope more updates to the game are in store to add more replay value, but for free this game is a literal blast!!.Version: V0.56

✓ Fun Rebooted Arcade Classic! With some changes...You can definitely have fun playing this, and the strategy is similar to the original - aim ahead and try to get chain reactions! The graphics are good, and retro inspired. Actually they look more like Asteroids! The original Missile Command used a raster pixel screen, and the buildings were little cityscapes. There were visibly airplanes and satellites dropping missiles on you, because this is a game about an un-winnable war. (there is a lesson there!) The modern style power ups add interest and more strategy, they could do more with new enemies also? Maybe an advanced controls setting for those who want to choose the bases? ✓ Nice rendition of Missile Command BUT…I love the updated control system for missile command. It’s hard to time the missiles from three different sources. I like the game “Cosmic Cannonade” better because the missiles come from a single source so it’s much more satisfying timing that missile to hit the target..Version: 62

✓ Dave Theurer's Classic Arcade GameI've been playing Missile Command in it's various incarnations since 1980, and it remains in my top 10 list of the greatest games of all time. The mobile version is actually quite playable, thanks to the phone's ubiquitous touch screen. The original used analog trackball control, which hasn't been very accurately reproduced in most other ports over the years. This version solves that problem and creates an addictive twitch mobile experience. I like it. I think Mr. Theurer would be pleased with the developer's homage to his classic arcade game. ✓ Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!!If like me you grew up with these games in the arcade and later on , home consoles then this, perhaps may bring back some long forgotten memories. I was always an Intellivision fan, which sadly never had missile command. Anyway back to this game. It is a beautiful rendition of the arcade and Atari console but far, far better. We take our phones for granted but this version of missile command has shocked me. My imagination is alight when I think about having the consoles I grew up with, in my pocket. I love the warm, cozy blanket feeling I get when I look at the flickering, vector graphics. Enough of me getting mushy. I highly recommend you download this game and enjoy a far better version of what your Daddy was playing when he was young. Perhaps your Mother too. Go and enjoy our childhood. ✓ Fun for quick gamesIn all, 4 stars. It is fun, I enjoy it and it is free. But there isn't much depth or replay value. (plus) It is clean formatting. Games last only a few minutes, for me anyway. The music and sound effects help understand what is happening, which is good because your eyes are busy concentrating on incoming targets. Power ups are fun. (negative) It gets a little redundant. I mean, actually it is very redundant. Smartly, they make points a currency to upgrade weapons. If there were different weapons, power ups, waves or bosses, just more content. ✓ Great Remake!Atari’s been staying alive over the last 30 years mostly by cashing in on their last success. A lot of their remakes seemed unnecessary and in most cases weren’t as good as the original. Missile Command Recharged is an exception. Missile Command was one of my all time favorites so I was skeptical about this. I was wrong. It’s awesome. Very addictive and makes great use of the touch screen along with sharp, clean graphics. ✓ Great game ultimately crippledI personally really liked this version of missle command. Played it a lot. Finally I maxed out all the weapons systems and then...well that’s it. You can still play, but why? You can earn points to oblivion, but useless to do so. I’m a soulless mercenary. I save people and I get fancy upgrades. No upgrades? Then a whole lot of innocent people are going to have atomic weapons morning, noon, and night. So Atari, it’s your call. Give me an incentive to play and civilians live. Most of them anyway. Refuse and you alone Atari will be responsible for the holocaust that follows. There is an AR feature that is good for about a minute of nostalgia if you are old enough to remember playing MC in the bars of your youth. I saw a video review that explained you are able to pick which missile base to fire from in the computer version but I wish the developer could have figured out a way to do that with the touchscreen version. ✓ GlitchFound a glitch. Suddenly the program stayed in the slo-mo mode after hitting the “T”. It was like shooting fish in a barrel. Stayed that way for maybe 30 minutes while I ran up the score, then it reverted to normal speed. It’s a guess that those super high scores are from hackers.
