✓ Slow and doesn’t age wellBought this to use 1x per year (printing 25 photos each time). Like all technology this thing was good at first but with each year it’s gotten worse. Takes forever to load/print, quality of the pictures is going downhill. It’s 3 yrs old..Version: 2.0
✓ App can’t find printer?The printer is connected to my iphone 14 pro via Bluetooth. Says connected to Kodak step in the settings. But anytime I try to print something in the app it says “no devices found” and asks me to select an accessory, but then shows no accessories. So this $70 photo printer is essentially a paperweight. ✓ Printing Error - Bad Firmware?Only 2 out of the 5 in the sample pack printed correctly and those 2 looked great! But I bought a 50 pack of zink prints and now it says “Printing Error” every time I try to print. I’ve tried everything (I’m pretty tech savvy) to fix it but it won’t work. I noticed all the reviews from 1-2 years ago are really good but the recent reviews are terrible and it seems like everyone is having similar issues. It would be nice to download previous firmware to see if that’s what’s going on but I don’t think that’s possible either. Hopefully the next update with fix it I really had high hopes for this lil guy..Version: 1.9
✓ Kodak Step won’t connect to the appWhen a device provides directions, and you follow them, it should actually work fairly easily. This isn’t the case here. The app refuses to add the device even though it shows up as a device to select and add. It won’t add it. This makes it completely useless..Version: 1.6
✓ Good printer, poor appThe Step App has imported or gained access to all my photos from iPhone 15. However it doesn’t show any albums I have created in the iPhone photo app, only those albums that were part of the original. As there is no ‘find’ button on the Step app I am finding it impossible to print photos from the past. If I am looking at an old photo I want to print, I can take a screen shot and then it appears in Kodak step. I created a new album called Kodak prints but this Step app doesn’t see it? Shame because the printer is good. No problem with a photo I just took as it’s shows in ‘recents’.Version: 2.1
✓ Bug!This app won’t let me scroll through my photos, it will automatically shoot right back to the top of the photo page when I try to scroll to select an image to print. Extremely annoying..Version: 2.0
✓ DONT UPDATE RUINS COLLAGEI’m so mad that they updated the app and now my portrait orientation collages get squeezed into a portrait orientation vs when they used to stay portrait but on a landscape orientation. I wish I could revert to the previous version!.Version: 1.9
✓ Not worth it.I purchased this for my card making business to show the way the “fancy fold” cards work without taking them out of the package at the shop. Despite running the calibration sheet multiple times this printer NEVER printed in the right colors. They were always washed (think bleached) out. I’ve gone through dozens of very expensive photo sheets trying to get it right what with all the editing. So sorry I wasted my money on this and all the extra photo papers. Now I have a very expensive hunk of junk I can’t even recycle in my area..Version: 1.8

✓ Bad UXOr bad product? there’s a bug that keeps scrolling me to the top of the pictures reel so i can’t get to the one i want to print. Also, the printer crops out part of the image that the app makes you think is whole. the stickers are useless and text editing is clunky..Version: 2.1
✓ Good But Needs WorkThe app needs a search function. Unless your printing from the last month or so, finding a date range in 30,000 on phone photos is too hard. The Google Photo connectivity is great but falls well short because it doesn’t sync all albums in the library. There’s really no reason for the library folders it does sync. Support is weak at best. Emails sent from the app are NOT answered. If the printer goes to sleep while your searching for photos I’ve had to reboot my phone to get it to connect toe ZINK Step Printer again..Version: 2.3
✓ Trouble Connecting via blue tooth read belowI’m leaving a one star because that’s what I fee people facing a similar problem will go to check. If you cannot connect your device but you know the Bluetooth's working try this. 1. Go to settings>bluetooth 2. Scroll until you see the printers name (if you can’t see it keep trying to connect in the app) 3. Click on the printer name. My iPhone said something like this device is no longer pair able remove device. So remove it 4. Go back to the app and try to connect again This is what got my printer to pair hope it helps.Version: 2.5.1

✓ An ill-conceived appI am not sure if this is a result of poor laziness or lack of funding, this app should not have passed quality control. The colours you see on your phone does not match the printed results. The app is so useless and lack functionalities. Kodak might as well just let other photo apps to print to the printer directly instead of forcing us to use its lousy app that cannot let you edit and refine your photos nicely, or disconnected itself after each print. ✓ Horrible software DO NOT USE!Unless you just want a few photos, don’t buy anything Kodak especially the step because the app is HORRIBLE which makes the equipment USELESS!!’ I have gone through 4 step printers because of “defective” or “software” issues but they all have the same issue when it comes to updating and performing the same tasks every day. I was able to run about 20 photos through this printer before it broke(well the app broke which makes the printer useless, you cannot use the printer without the app) And support only says restart it and I’ve done it so many times then they say oh we’ll send you a new one…are you kidding me it’s the 4th time and still horrible.Version: 2.1

✓ New firmware destroyed qualityI use this printer to print a lot of random things. I like to pack the 2x3 photo with about 30 pictures. Before when I first got the device full scale photos that take up the whole picture would print at a slightly lower quality. That was fine but what was cool was that when I packed these pictures onto the screen the resolution was much better and there was a surprising amount of detail in these fingernail sized photos. Now after some time it wanted to update its firmware and now that quality and sharpness boost is gone and everything I print has terrible(standard) resolution. Please do not nerf your products I just wanted to print little pictures 😭😭.Version: 2.4

✓ So buggy and difficult to useAll of these 5 star reviews are frankly suspicious. I literally can’t print more than 2 photos in a row without having to close out of the app or restart the device, sometimes I can’t even print twice before it runs into an issue that requires a restart Additionally, it used to allow the ability for collages to be printed in landscape mode and now it just doesn’t? Impossible to make a collage in the app without all of the dimensions completed messed up..Version: 2.1
