✓ Was a great game. Now getting repetitiveThe game starts out great and for a long time it was. Been playing it for a long time. However, the use of energy sky rocketed up and to get energy hasn’t kept up. You now get Special Deals every where you turn and the deals are very expensive. I have spent a lot of money on this game, and like I said, I use to love it. Now, it’s the same games islands over and over, as well as other islands are almost the same but more obstacles cost more and more energy. Case in point, the diamonds shot up from to over 150 energy points where it use to be only 50. I understand they want to make money on the games, but to do this for fans, not so good. All in all, it use to be fun, but it’s getting old..Version: 1.65.2
✓ Trying too hard to take our moneyUsed to like this game. Lately you’ve made so that we use up our energy too fast to try and get us to buy more. Also on the endless isles harvesting resources now uses too much energy. 92 is the max value without doing something too get more energy and many resources require more than that to harvest. ✓ Would give more starsThis game is pretty cool! The graphics are gorgeous and the story line is great. The side missions are awesome and the overall feel of the game is fun . Unfortunately it can be frustrating to get anywhere when it takes so much Energy to cut down anything to move through the levels. So one would end up spending real money to buy more energy. Also now that I’m along more it has started to kick me off and tell me my Internet connection isn’t working (I have fast fibre) so something isn’t right with the connection of the game because my Internet is fine at my end. All in all, great game! But if you are not able to spend real money you will get frustrated with how slow you can move forward while you wait for the Energy bar to fill up..Version: 1.29.1
✓ Painstakingly slowAs the title suggests, this is a painstakingly slow game. You basically wait over 30 mins for less than 30 seconds of game play. The developers have commented that this is meant to be played slow. There's slow and there's this game. I'm currently level 8 but I'll be deleting this game soon. ✓ Daughter spent all my money on this game unintentionallyMy daughter has ASD 2 and 3 repetitive motions and had really enjoyed the nature of this game she’s only 4 but so smart and likes to click away, however to my suprise I’ve been getting Apple Pay taken out of my account of hundreds of dollars by the week added to thousands I only downloaded it for her just over a month ago, card declined after speaking with Apple it was all on this game! The coins you make arnt to use for the energy purchases they offer it’s real coins from your bank! Financially ruined after downloading! ✓ Energy is problematic and frustratingI have been playing for a while now and have thoroughly enjoyed the game. However, I literally can only play for a few minutes at a time now without having to stop and wait for my energy to refill. You only get to clear one or two items before you’ve already used all of your energy. It’s ridiculous. Seems like a strategy to get people to continue to spend money. I’ve already seen your responses on other reviews regarding the various ways energy can be obtained. I am aware. The problem is it takes such a long time to complete those tasks as well. ✓ Enjoyable butA good game and very enjoyable, but the balance between getting energy and resources, and using them up is very poor. There are lots of ways/places to find both, but consumption is so rapid that time spent on the game is brief. ✓ Daily adventures- - Daily rip off— appalling addition.I totally agree with all the bad reviews of the recent addition to the game- daily adventures. It takes far too long and takes all your resources to get anywhere near finishing. You would have to play nearly all day to finish it and get the raw materials that you really need. However if you don’t finish after one day you have to start all over from the beginning again. There isn’t enough health available or resources to finish this. The developers said they were going to make it easier. They are having a laugh. They say that if you stay in the daily adventures part and don’t leave, then you don’t have to start all over again. What they can’t and won’t accept is that you HAVE to leave to get health and more resources etc. A good game totally ruined by this addition of daily adventures. ✓ Update is very frustratingI have been playing this game daily for a couple of years as a distress before bed after a hard day - It has suited my distress need until now…. The recent update looks great and engaging, but now you have to try and source even more material to make items you need to get energy and progress to the po8nt that it hardly seems worth it and I’m at the point of giving up.. too much like hard work and no rewards/progress. ✓ Glitchy and expensiveI’ve been playing this game for a few months. I’m at a certain part in the adventure aspect of the game where when I open the game on my phone, it immediately shuts the app. I’ve spent time getting to this point and I’m disappointed if this glitch ends up being the end of my time playing the game. Also the dialogue takes way too long and you can’t skip through it, and there is never enough energy or rewards, and the things you can buy to deal with this frustration are not worth it. ✓ Used to love this gameThis was my favourite game til just recently. They have tripled some of the energy cost for items you need. Your energy tops out at 92 but the diamonds pile cost 165 energy. And theses are supplies you need. Special lands use to be fun but the prizes now are ridiculous. Main prize on last land gives 10energy and a few items. Not worth it. ✓ Failure gameThis game is a failure. I don't have the resources I need, I can't get money because I can't fulfill orders. I have several thousand stones, but other materials are needed. An amazing amount of energy is needed to reveal a piece of the board. This is not what the game should be about. I am very disappointed with this game. ✓ They just want money!I really thought this game was good initially and spent £30 on gems as I wanted energy to complete tasks…. However that £30 literally went in less than 5 minutes! ✓ Good game to start with, BUT.......After the first few tasks the energy runs down so quickly - when your using energy to chop down bushes and trees etc to uncover pieces of the map to complete tasks it barely uncovers an inch of the map and you’ve drained all your energy cutting down a million bushes in the space of 30 seconds, after waiting a whole night to fully char him up - it like gone in 30 seconds. It seems really unfair. There are lots of bonuses to be found - but even with that it’s just not enough. There needs to be less shrubs to cut down to preserve the energy a bit longer. It’s just not fun any more!! It’s a shame because it could potentially be a great game but after only a week of playing it I’m bored of it already. I play similar games and have kept my interest for months, even years with one of them but not this one. ✓ Quitting at level 22, they're all the same.First let me say the art is excellent. Like others here, I feel like the efforts to gather energy are fine, pretty standard, grow corn and potatoes and make feed and gather eggs and milk to gain power. Okay, but the amount of time it takes to grow things, mill them and feed the livestock, takes too long for just a short time of play. And on every level so far, that just means clearing the fog by chopping at trees, rocks, cactus, etc looking for things. The story is fine but after 22 levels is very repetitive and the adventure always means chopping on stuff for a little bit and stopping. ✓ Not enough game play and too expensive!!I loved this game to begin with but as I got further into the game I got bored!! Energy disappears within seconds of trying to find places, objects etc, and far too many plants/fallen trees etc to cut through at 16 energy per time so the energy taken from each plant cut needs to lessen in order for longer game play, cut 3-5 plants down and energy has completely gone and your no further towards your goal. Too many tasks asking you to buy, planting seeds takes most of your money as you get further, never gone past £1500 in money collection as I’m too busy spending money planting things to try and get energy by completing Amanda’s tasks so I can’t get past the Atlantean trees task as I never have the £3000 to buy the tree. I can’t get past the buildings task for the extra forges etc, You need to do a hell of a lot of spending on this game to play for more than 5 minutes so sadly I’ve had no option but to delete it. It’s a shame as the story and scenes of the game are fab!! Just too hard to get anywhere further on it..Version: 1.39
✓ Infuriating and less than helpful!I tried, but first I needed flax to fulfil an order of rope and it seemed the only way to get it was to spend money and even spending the money wouldn’t necessarily get me flax. I tried cutting down blue flowers but they turned out to be just grass. At the same time I had to fulfil one of the first tasks which told me to follow Miura. Miura had gone to the quarry so I ‘went’ there by putting my character alongside her….nothing! I tried using the help facility but unless you ask it a question it recognises it just guesses what you meant…so at that point I gave up and deleted the wretched thing.Version: 1.21

✓ I can’t get past Flint ValleyI have finished the island Flint Valley but when I get to the teleport and click on it, it tells me to wait until it charges up with energy. There are huge costs to buy the red stones that pay for power money etc and then having paid for them the game regularly wastes them for me! One part of the game you have to kill an octopus, I think it cost 240 power ⚡️only to then find that 'it will take more than that to kill the beast' and so the 240 (about £1.40 for about 10 seconds of play ) got me literally zero ahead in the game. ✓ A Waste of TimeTypical of Vizor’s other games, Zombie Castaways and Klondike, where you get up to a certain level, a low level, and then it gets much more difficult to work your way through the game. Not because of any strategy, but because they don’t give you enough energy to sustain the play. In Atlantis, I whizzed through the first 7 or so levels, and I loved the game. Now at Level 10, you can’t make more than 2 or 3 moves before you’re out of energy. There are, as the developers say, several ways to get energy, but those actions are boring, repetitive, and time consuming. All of the same things that other commenters have complained about. ✓ Exciting for the first five minutesPlease do not get this game. initially when you first load in ur sole purpose is to cut down obstacles using energy (in order to progress and discover new areas) At first, this is fun because they cost 1-5 energy per piece and you have loads to work with. the second after u complete the introduction of the game it becomes unplayable. your energy refills by 1 every 1.5 minutes but you can barely move anywhere because what was initially 1-3 obstacles in your way (until the next area) becomes 15-20. small bushes are replaced by huge rocks and trees that cost THIRTY ENERGY to remove- wiping your energy completely making you wait 45 minutes until u can destroy the next tree. The limited time events are boring and exactly the same as the campaign and impossible to complete in the timeframe due to the problem just mentioned. There are ways to earn energy in game but give u nowhere the near the amount needed to progress anymore than if u just waited an hour every time. But of course -what gives u the most energy?(and can also overfill ur bar by over 100x) you guessed it. in game purchases. good idea but ruined by this god awful energy mechanic..Version: 1.28

✓ Poor energy ratioThe amount of energy required per task vs the energy you have is completely disproportionate. You can do one maybe two things before it’s depleted and then have to wait to keep going. Really slows the process down and makes it not enjoyable. ✓ Fix Ads.Been playing for a few months now and it’s ok. Just recently there’s a problem with the daily quests you have to accomplish. When you finish them, you are given the option to double the chests. You always had to watch a short video tied specifically to the game. Now you have started regular ads from other games. The problem is that more often than not, after watching a spinning circle, it will say ads not available, try again. Only you can’t try again and it automatically gives you the single bonus instead of doubling it. Energy is hard enough to come by without the ability to double up. Please look into this. ✓ In-Game AdsOver the past week I’ve been having problems with the in-game ads. When I tap on the X to close the ad, as in some other games it brings up the advertised game in the App Store. Over the past week or so, there have been a number of times when I tapped the X half a dozen or more times and it doesn’t close the ad, it opens the App Store to the advertised game so I end up just close then game app. It is bad enough that in-game ads are creeping up over 30 seconds long. I just spent an hour trading, farming, and watching ads to collect energy, and that got me a whole 5 minutes of game play before I was again out of energy. Even paying real money doesn’t help for the same reason. Spending $50 on gems will get you maybe half an hour of game play. It’s a shame, because the game is really fun. ✓ Development still neededThis game has been enjoyable enough, but I’m bored now. It’s a constant slog and very samey. I’m level 101, built all production units and maxed most production slots. I’ve given up on maxing them all because it’s impossible to get the resources stocked up. I know all the tricks for making and finding energy. I’m strategic with my energy usage. Have made the odd purchase. Always complete events so have a bunch of decorations sat in store. It’s just … bland. I think I’m going to delete it at the end of this event. Might come back in the future but it would depend on whether they improve. A couple of ideas for the developers … - Energy max should keep increasing past 92. Even if just every ten levels. You need to reward long term players. - Make rewards for level increases more varied. The reward when I hit 100 was the same it’s always been which was disappointing. - Replace some of the iron deposits for orichalcum. Iron is beyond easy to find but it’s so difficult to make metals for production because there’s so little orichalcum. - Events should have more precious metals, especially orichalcum. - Have more puzzles or things that make players think. - Allow the sale of decorations and resources for coins. - Allow the purchase of precious materials and energy for coins..Version: 1.31

✓ I’m over it!Like I said before in a previous review, I really wanted to like this game because I live games like this but the low amount of energy the game provides and how much energy it takes to make a move, makes this game extremely slow moving and takes the fun out of the game. You literally wait like a whole day for low energy to replenish just to get less then 5 minutes of playing time when it does. Sure there are areas within the game that can help to gain more energy but unless those areas are nearby or already visible when you run out it takes at least a week to find an area, smh. While it’s pretty and seems to have potential, the reality is you spend most of the time chopping bushes and breaking rocks. You might have to chop 30 bushes to get to the object you’re looking for. That is, if the game has given you enough guidance to know where you’re headed. Sometimes it just shows a destination and then puts non-removable walls in your way so you have to remove more bushes to find the route. ✓ Getting boringLike everyone else, the energy runs out too fast for really good interesting play. The ability to get additional energy by playing the Pierre shell game on the wrecked pirate ship is getting really old( level 21 / 25 weeks of play). But the thing that really changed was the addition of making milk in the rotation for Amanda. That pretty much stops play. I have had 3x milk requests every other task over 6x today! So, just getting bored. Also, making nails is ridiculous, way too many steps for that. The graphics are really cute and I really like hunting hidden treasures. ✓ Worst game “update” in historyReduced to 1 star! Thanks Klondike IT…you have now succeeded in making Atlantis WORSE than Klondike for energy production. This update has removed the ability to earn energy from production of basic farm goods. Now you are required to cook and feed each worker very complex dishes that require you to mine for ingredients - which depletes all your energy on cooking. So you do it, thinking you will get energy once the person is fed - WRONG. You use 200+ energy bars to get stevia and salt, and receive only 50 energy bars in return!!! The real kicker is that I have already mined 1500 grass, but I get zero salt from what I’ve already mined - now I have to start over and mine grass again. Same with stones - 500 already mined, but I get zero salt from what I’ve already mined. Stones take a ridiculous amount of energy to mine. So I started today with 478 energy bars. I’m down to 150, and I havent even started exploration/island mining. This game is going in the trash heap..Version: 1.55
✓ Not worth itThe overall game is enjoyable but there are some major drawbacks. You don’t start off with a lot of energy, and you only get like 1 or 2 energy added to your overall energy when you level up, and it’s not easy to level up. I’m currently level 9 and have the total energy of 42. Some things you cut down are only like 6 energy, but for the most part it’s like 16 or 18 energy so it takes a long time to clear an area. That’s starting to make this game kind of boring, because you cut down 2-3 things and then you have to wait for the energy to refill. ✓ Energy cost kills the funNice looking game, graphics are very good but what kills this is the lack of spending any time playing. I just booted up the game and in less than a minute the energy is gone, ridiculous costs such as 50 to remove a small tree or rock while also trying to get materials. The “ money” is plentiful and worthless unless one can exchange it for energy. It’s such a shame that developers make the effort to create something nice yet continue as most with the micro transactions that quickly become macro. We used to be able to get these on a cd like ten games for $15 bucks kept us busy for many hours, but now I will be sure to avoid this developer and certainly never download anything on an ad in their games. Energy bars should contain enough to play at least 30 minutes and in two or three hours be completely replenished or at the very least have the watch multiple ads to get more as that is where their income should mostly come from rather than from players. Hopefully eventually these styles of pay to play will wither and die. If you don’t want to use ads then charge $5 for the entire game. And having completed the update, I really don’t want to wait another several weeks for the next one. Take a hint from the developers of Lily’s Garden; there is a weekly update. And the cost of bushwhacking, compared to the number of energy points that can be stored without paying for them is also unacceptable, and continues to worsen as the game progresses. The biggest disappointment, as far as energy points go, is that the number that can be passively accumulated seems to cap at 92. In the update, that will allow you to remove one or two obstacles, period. A more reasonable progression would be to continue to increase passive energy storage throughout, and to be less expensive in the removal of obstacles. ✓ Game play good but needed energy too slow!This game is addictive and frustrating, the most unliked problem with this game is the lack of energy, so developers stop being the grinch and respond by being being proactive to practically every players gripe! ✓ Ridiculous GameThis game seems like it could be a lot of fun but I just started. You're given 25 energy and 1 move can cost as much as 16 so I might be able to make 2 moves before running out of energy and the only way I can see to get more energy, except to wait for it to refill over time, is to pay ridiculous amounts of actual cash. I've seen plenty of money grab games developed by greedy people but this one takes the cake. I highly advise everyone to skip this game unless you have money just burning a hole in your pocket. Shame on the developers for putting this out there as a free game when it's nothing of the sort. AO needs to fix the problem of producing and storing energy for playing events and why it takes so much energy to clear and collect a small amount of resources like stones and wood. ✓ What happened?!I’ve loved this game for a while. In the early versions, it cost irrational amounts of energy to accomplish anything and, because energy refilled so slowly, it took days to make basic steps. That issue got fixed eventually and it became more realistic to meet the goals. The new update undid that correction. The trading ports and all of that are awesome. The concept of the totems are awesome. The amount of energy required to actually harvest/mine all the materials necessary for crafting items to fulfill Franco’s (and the balloons) orders has swung back into the category of almost impossible. I had to wait like a week for the giants to activate which was ok I guess because I had time to gather all the resources in that land but it was still a bit tedious. Then I went to the next land which was some desert and had to wait a few days for the portal from that land to the next to activate. Now I am in the desert with the huge snake and it’s telling me I have to wait again! This is very frustrating. ✓ Terrible recharge time and customer supportThis game is a joke. The daily energy recharge maximum is 40 when most things require 20 energy to remove. Then in order to attain more energy you have to complete certain tasks, which is fine and normal, but when you don’t have energy to complete said tasks for resources it defeats the purpose. To complete one task you basically have to have the game recharge itself multiple times a day, which means you can maybe complete one task per day depending on how much you play this game. Tried to reach out to customer service about some issues I’ve been having and it was like trying to talk to someone who lives on a different planet. ✓ Once A Good Game. Competitions repetitive/unachievableI liked the game when you can actually play the story line and not have to be glued to your phone just to place in the competitions. The competitions are repetitive but were at least placeable when you paid a little money before whatever their last update was. Now the algorithm forces you to play against players who I feel like are bots at this point (less than an hour someone already has 500 opals like how?). Then these “players” are getting these impossible scores and honestly it’s basically defeating. I should not have to wake up every single hour of the night just to keep up or spend $15+ dollars to even have a shot at it. I didn’t mind the competition before when it seemed like actual standard humans were playing but now it’s basically a joke. The side story quests can be fun but you would barely finish the quest unless you place high in the competition. The story line barely updates too. Needless to say… I think after over a year, I basically done with this game. I wish I can find out how the story ends but waiting months between those updates gets super old. The lighter I then need to light a dynamite in the art gallery but not only must you use the lighter it also costs 18 rubies. Not some dumb story plots that don’t even take place in the actual game and make the characters you’ve spent so much time developing look tacky. To get bonuses you first have to watch ads that are 35 seconds, and sometimes when you finish watching the ad it doesn’t even give you the bonus. ✓ Shortest playtime in historyI saw the game in video ad, it looked interesting so I decided to try it. It’s hard to know if I enjoy the game or not as it takes less than 10 seconds and now I’m out of energy……REALLY???
