Server unavailable?Way after just about everyone has an app for everything, NJ EZ-Pass developers who had enough time to get it right, yet they come out with this app that’s full of bugs. I have attempted to use the app many time and always get the error “Server Unavailable, please try again sometime”. This happens every time..Version: 1.1.0

Bad app so farIt’s not letting me log in after 3 mins of waiting and I know I have an account online set up already and been using E-ZPASS for a year now. This has to be a bug that can be fixed and maybe once I have access it will get a better rating but for its a bad experience to start off with.Version: 1.1.0

UnusableIt does not even operate properly. You try to make a payment and then doesn't accept the payment. You then have to hope the payment didn't ho through on your banks end and you have to try and verify if it went through to ezpass or not..Version: 1.10.1

BulliesEz pass is a bunch of bullies ...I was just in a dispute with them they could care less your situation. I have had a replenishing account for a decade no issues and my bank freezes my account for a fraudulent activity which unknowingly stops my ez pass account from replenishing. Instead of them being considerate of my situation they charge me $700 in fines after I was willingly paying the tolls I didn’t realize wasn’t getting taken out on top of that it’s year with a pandemic and financial issues across the country. But who is not getting affected is ez pass in new jersey they actually raised the tolls. Some people on the phone understood my situation but whenever it got to a manager they where very cut and dry on the amount they were going to charge me with no repayment plan option. One manager was even so rude to hang up with him because I was trying to explain to him my situation and he couldn’t understand why I was upset. Again I think they are bunch of bullys no compassion.Version: 1.1.0

Pretty uselessI honestly thought they had upgraded to the 21st century & by downloading this app we could just use it as a tag to move between different cars. It absolutely does not do that. Alls it shows is your activity & billing. All of which for me are automated processes I’ve already set up with them through the website. Deleted the app..Version: 1.1.0

Horrific appTried to pay a violation on the website, it couldn’t find it even with the violation number and license plate entered exactly as directed. I downloaded the app to create an ez pass account (violation says I can pay this way too!!), but midway through creating it, it says my vehicle has an unpaid violation that must be paid before opening an account. It then redirected me to the previous website. This app and the website must be intentionally kept at such a ridiculously low quality to ensure people are charged multiple admin and late fees since they can’t pay their violations..Version: 1.6.0

Hard time signing inEver since the digital sign in the app hasn’t allowed me to sign in seems there is no update for this I’ve been using website. Anyone having issues like that..Version: 1.7.0

Can’t get into the app anymoreI’ve had E-ZPass NJ for a while now and just recently, about two weeks ago, the app keeps telling me that “Service is down. Try again later. “ I can’t get on to put money on my E-ZPass. Why have an app if you can’t get on it and pay. Now I have to call customer service and figure out a way to get on the app and pay my balance. The app is trash..Version: 1.10.1

Auto Pay GamesThe app enrolled me in Auto Pay when I specifically hit the One Time Payment button. Also it will not let me unlink my card to the account. Developer please help. I’ve never had this problem in the past..Version: 1.5.0

Tag request does not workI just downloaded the EZ pass app with the intention to request a new tag for my additional vehicle, but the request tag function does not work. Instead, i get an error message that the server is unavailable. I know that is not so because I was able to add my new vehicle, check my balance and account activity- but could not request a new tag. Even after signing off and back in again, I continue to get the error message - just by selecting the “tags” option..Version: 1.1.0

Does this ever work?All I want to see is what my individual toll charges were for an expense report. Every time I use this the server is down or very slow. Typical NJ government, have no problem taking your money and they only make living here worse each day. Can’t wait to leave this state and go somewhere that will give me paper bags when I am grocery shopping..Version: 1.10.1

Add automatic deductions on specified datesI’d like to automatically transfer money into my account for a specified amount on a reoccurring basses. This will help keep my account positive and also avoid excessive deductions from my CC. Please do this ! I’m surprised NJ EZ Pass hasn’t been sued for their predatory fees..Version: 1.5.0

App stopped working after latest updateThe app stopped working after updating to the current version. The Face ID crashes and I am unable to get into my account via password..Version: 1.4.0

Obvious features missing= theft of moneySo why can’t you guys add a feature to cancel auto payments, on top of that jumping my “auto replenish payments” up to $90. If it’s so hard to reach you guys to figure such a simple issue even going online then it’s plane simple. Just a theft of money. You have no idea how much of an inconvenience it can be to have 90$ be subtracted from your account when you’re not even around the amount of having no money to pay. Also why do YOU guys makes a. Can’t register!I’ve downloaded and signed in then tried to put in my 3 security questions. Deleted the app and reinstalled it 3 times— and still I haven’t been able to get past that page. It needs more work..Version: 1.10.1

Customer service failureAside from Comcast, who is the undisputed champion of inept customer service, EZ Pass is right up there. An hour and 45 minutes to reach a representative on a Tuesday at noon. Lovely experience, capped off with a 30 second loop explaining that I can go to the webpage if I’d like to get this done faster. Rubbing in the point they do not offer this service on their website. Really bad job here, blatant disregard for customers.Version: 1.7.0

Can’t really perform any meaningful actionsPlease use a professional agency to create a user friendly app that doesn’t cause nervous breakdowns. I have no way to close my account, unsubscribe from payments and get my money back from my balance.Version: 1.7.0

Could be betterCapabilities feel limited. I wish you could manage or change your replenishment threshold. It seems you cant. I also wish transactions clearly visualized whats a deduction vs whats an addition to the account..Version: 1.7.0

Must improveAbout an hour to contact customer service, the app can’t connect to the server, about 2 weeks to reflect activity I really think they can do way better with the money they charge, why wait until everyone talks about how bad is it? is it really necessary? Not liking this app,In plain English I will continue using the Via- mail. It freezes up its horrible I believe Apple doesn’t like this app. Nothing works I’m tired of putting all my info into this app. Then nothing works ..,Who’s to say this app can’t get hijacked too. Can’t sign upTried to sign up several times for 3 days. It works fine up until the point where it says to select the amount of tags. As soon as I put that amount above zero it tells me the site is unavailable try again later. This also happens on the regular website..Version: 1.2.0

Doesn’t workApp doesn’t work. Always says service is down. I’ve tried all different days and times always doesn’t work. Just to note I ended up logging in on website instead. Recently Apple Pay has issues. Will not process Apple Pay when using Apple Card but it allowed a different card. Please fix these issues soon. Doesn’t work now.I’ve been using for a while and it’s worked fine. Unfortunately, with the latest update, I can’t login with my fingerprint. The pop-up window cycles between asking me to use fingerprint and telling me it didn’t work. I can’t do anything else. Fix that and I can go back to liking it..Version: 1.4.1

Does not show you actual balanceIt only shows you your last balance from the last toll you went thru. If you put money on your account it takes 24 hours to apply even though when you go through the toll booth it says EZ Pass paid. Example: you go through it all, it says call service center, you log on and see that your “balance“ is -$1.12. You add $50 on. you continue driving for the rest of the day, and you only see the message “low balance.” You think you’ve paid the tolls for the day. Nope. You will get violations on all your tolls from that day. Those tolls go on your “account” which does not effect the amount on the app. The app only shows the balance from the last toll you went through before the “call service center” message. So even when you put money on your “account” through the app, it takes 24 hours to apply it. And every toll you go through during that 24 hour period will be a violation..Version: 1.7.0

TerribleThe app can mess up and charge you double the amount you’re trying to replenish by. And when you send them a message about it, they never get back to you. No Face ID or Minimum Balance AlertThis is my second review since downloading the app about a week ago, the initial problem I was having was my inability to sign in to the app once it was downloaded it kept timing out, that’s no longer a problem but it would have been great if the developers would have added FACE ID to be able to sign in quickly without having to remember, then typing in a password each time. Also it would be nice for the users to be able to set an minimum balance Alert notification that would allow them to add money to their account prior to reaching the Replenishment Threshold and money being snatched from your credit card unexpectedly. Thanks for your response regarding signing in to the app using FACE ID be way of “Biometrics,” I had no idea what “biometric” is/was, maybe some people are aware of that but not everyone... i.e. “me.” Are there any plans to add a feature to the app for the customer to be able to set an alert or notification when their balance reach a limit set by them so that they are able to add funds to their account prior to their credit card being charged?.Version: 1.1.0

Can’t even sign up lolI have an IPhone 14 and the app has crashed on me 4 times while trying to sign up. Closed all of my apps, restarted the device, it is fully updated, and it crashed a 4th time as I was putting in prepayment info. As a guy in tech, this is not it. At all..Version: 1.10.1

Unsupported deviceMy app was working perfectly fine and then I updated it and when I open the app now it says that my device is unsupported but my device says is supported according to the description. ( (IPhone XS Max iOS 14.3).Version: 1.2.0

Charged twiceThere have been two separate occasions when I replenished my account via the app, and I was charged twice both times for the same amount. Luckily, I had the funds, but that’s not always the case. It doesn’t happen when I go to the website so I will be sticking to the web browser..Version: 1.7.0

Bad not user friendly at allGovernment app should be user friendly and I expected it to be modern. This doesn’t look like it has been updated. Nobody was looking into it. Also, the website as well, everytime you want to go back, it signs you off and has to sign in over and over again..Version: 1.7.0

Continually UnavailableZero stars. It is completely non-functional. Each time I try and check out a “service is currently unavailable” error is shown. What an embarrassment it must be for a company to get a contract and deliver a broken app. Well, an embarrassment for the tax payers. It seems the developers are happy with the arrangement..Version: 1.10.1

Nothing E-Z about this horrible appUnable to stay logged in after sign in. States that the server has timed out and to try again later. When clicking the pay bill option, the app continuously says that there is no violation listed for the number provided, even if it is correct. What’s the point of the app if it doesn’t work???.Version: 1.10.1
