✓ Sheriff of MahjongThis game has me captivated. There are lots of things I have yet to learn and more challenges ahead...yet, I am ready! Thanks for the fun!!! Would love to have different criminals and know more about their backgrounds. Capturing and arresting the same guys over and over gets kind of boring. I also wish there were other ways to earn crystals. Thanks!!! The games lately have been more challenging than ever. I consider myself pretty good at Mahjong but several of the recent games have required me to “roll the dice” not once but twice in order to complete the game and garnish the awards. The jewels are hard to come by which makes getting more dice difficult (unless you buy them which I can’t as I’m disabled and cannot work. No money!) Thanks for listening..Version: 1.23.2301

✓ Excellent game by all metricsThis is the first game review I’ve written, but the game is simply too good to not tell people about it. First off, the gameplay itself is smooth and glitch free. Mahjong is by its nature a relaxing game, and Sheriff of Mahjong doesn’t try to change that. The game does progressively get more difficult as you progress further through the story, but it’s not a frustrating experience (unlike many of the match 3 games out there, where it feels like they’re setting up a pay gate). The animation is honestly incredibly well done for a phone based game. The movements of the sheriff herself are in particular a cut above when it comes to the attention to detail that most game companies care to put into their offerings. Most surprising of all is the music. Whoever wrote and recorded the original compositions are extremely good at what they do, with many of the tracks lingering in my head after the game is done (a particularly impressive feat, since I really don’t much care for the sound of country western music). Again, there was a level of care involved in the creation of this game that I simply don’t see in many games created for phones. All in all, Sheriff of Mahjong is a masterfully created strategy game that should offer players hundreds of hours of immersive play. I didn’t expect much when I first installed it because I played other mahjong games and hadn’t found one that I could stand. But this game is excellent. There are no ads so you can actually sit and play and relax at the same time. It has goals to keep you busy which I like alot. Also you can actually play for free without having to buy anything if you choose not to. ✓ New EventThis is a great game, but it is also a little frustrating at times. The events, the collections, the people, and the town are so much fun. I’ve tried for several days and have gone through hundreds and hundreds of tickets to finish the event. I’m trying to reach Level VI and it says “In Progress” no matter how many times I clear a puzzle. It seems there is no way to achieve Level VI. It’s definitely a pay to win game. I’ve spent too much money trying to reach the elusive Level VI. Maybe it doesn’t exist! I reached the end of one event and ran out of time on another. ✓ The wildest western townYes I have played other games like this one except different characters. But I love the western pioneer traditions but doing this game really makes me want to keep on helping these people get their town put back together as one community. I like where it tells you where you can’t take a tile just yet and then you go to the ones that the outside and it keeps getting smaller and smaller until you absolutely win they were all the tiles to be put away. ✓ Great game but unfairLove this game, I’d play several times a day but energy is slow to fill up and can use a lot of battery. Don’t be too quick to click on the next game as they are very quick with the in app purchase pop ups. I think the game play is unfair because there’s no more moves so the game ends, you click to play the same game and instead of mixing the tiles up you get the same tiles knowing full well that you can’t finish that level. This happens several times for 1 level. I used all my energy and extra energy but still couldn’t finish that level. Therefore you can’t build up energy for the mini games, which makes it hard to complete them. The regular levels quickly get hard to beat and your only option is to purchase gems so you can use them to get shuffles. If it wasn’t for the events, I would have stopped playing by now. I am pretty much house bound due to my being diagnosed with advanced Parkinson’s disease and dementia, and so I don’t have A lot of things that I can do with my time, but since I have been able to find this game, it has really been a great help for my hand-eye co-ordination exercises that I am doing every day, and this game has been perfect for those exercises that my physical therapist has been telling me that he is wanting me to be sure and do every day or two……. ✓ It tries hard, & mostly succeedsMuch like Emperor of MhjongIt’s a fairly good, yet challenging game. As it gets harder, you’re tempted more & more to buy extra helpers, but I haven’t in a long while. Emperor has recently added monsters, & something like that would be welcome here. The special quests are fun, & give you lots of those helpers, but they are almost impossible to completely finish, but they usually give you an hour of unlimited energy if you fail. I started plsying the Egyptian new a while ago, & just couldn’t get into it though. The ads you see after a quest sometimes are usually less than 10 seconds, so not that annoying. The only other qualm I have is that you need energy o attempt a specific quest in a specific building. You don’t win back what you put in for the attempt, so that can limit your play time. Add trying the same one 4-5 times, & that energy goes by in a hurry..Version: 1.28.2800

I think the only thing I have been having an issue with, is how the tiles look. I have eye issues so I have a hard time telling which tiles are free and which are locked. I’m not sure if it’s something the developers can fix or if the tiles are supposed to be that way as part of the challenge of playing the game. ✓ Addictive and ChallengingA good game overall, especially if you love Mahjong puzzles. I like the town building and collection sets elements. I suspect there are times when you have to play a building x amount of times before you are allowed to win though... feels a bit like cheating as I have done so many levels when its the last 3 or so matches and its impossible to match when there is no way you could have got that far unless the game was set to fail. This can be quite frustrating due to the amount of energy it takes in some levels and there's nothing to show for it. I wouldn't mind if it didn't present the main collection item until the building had been played enough, but it did have possible success in every puzzle presented. Other than that, I'm liking the general game and have occasionally bought a few things from the shop as a treat to myself. What are power points??? ✓ Pretty good but one thing is annoying.The game is pretty good, the puzzles aren’t to hard and great if you enjoy Mahjong. Really the only thing that is annoying is that once you finish a task you immediately get a new one so you have about 9 things up waiting for you to complete, but it’s hard to since there’s always a new one and you can’t seem to ever get to the other ones. It’s fun and engaging. CAN be expensive if you don’t like loosing a lot of games. Recently they started making us watch advertising for their other games. These ads are WAY too frequent (practically after every game!!). If a talisman is played, these ads eat away at the remaining time for the talisman. I enjoy this game but I am NOT enjoying these ads. The Tiles are regular objects and easy to see....There are no ads....I select a goal, the screen does its thing and I sit back and choose my tiles to play. LISTEN: they carry the rules of Mahjong very strictly. There are helps and prompts available, but I’m afraid THAT will cost. You can complete every game without them! No rush, by watching the shadows on the tiles, ie, is this tile open? ***The only PROBLEM is that I cannot sign in. The G5 computer has decided they already have someone using my email (me, from past games...), and so I cannot get extra points by inviting friends....(and I WOULD invite my friends...this is a good game).....it HAS my birthdate, but is being an unintelligent, programmed badly, tin can!
