✓ Great Sounds for Piano StartersRetro Piano invites exploration of piano in Summer 2020. I own keyboards and find this much more fun. Why? A keyboard reminds me I don’t know how to play piano. This app doesn’t care. It offers a wide range of producer-provided presets (Thanks!) and effects. Manual dexterity is not required. ✓ Saving state, at last!This has some lovely sounds, and finally state saves under AUM, etc. The one oddity is that to get that saved state back you first need to tap on the default ‘Welcome’ then select saved state. Would be better if app followed the invention of simply reloading as it was left. Nic.Version: 1.3

✓ Another useful plugin, but one bugI’m really enjoying AudioKit's approach with these simple specialized synth plugins that have a distinctive sound and a small number of controls. This is another winner. The only trouble with this one is that if I use it in GarageBand, when I reopen the project the plugin reverts to the default patch. I’m sure that’ll be fixed in an update soon..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Less is EverythingWhen these guys make an app they do it very well . I remember downloading the first AudioKit app before they updated it and I already liked it mainly because the beautiful reverb effect they have is unlike any I’ve heard anywhere else. That was the key to making even the blandest sound , full and vibrant, they only got better and more creative from there....so I know that this retro piano sounds awesome now ,....just wait till they work on it and spruce it up , I play around with all the big name items in the synth realm and AudioKit came in short time and surpassed all of them. ✓ One more day to complainAs another reviewer said, if you want a great acoustic piano sound for free, open GB. It’s all there. You can even add vinyl scratches if you’d like. But that’s not the point! This is a piano/synth mix. You control the mix & vinyl & the tone. It sounds great. I didn’t need this sound but now that I have it.... I find needs for it. Solid, modern r&b/hip hop piano/synth sample sound that been in vogue for many years. This is free. For those that must look a gift horse in the mouth, don’t use what little creative energy you have remaining to write bad reviews. Use it to find an app w/ a subscription so you can pay monthly to justify calling yourself a “musician”. For those that want to support devs that are doing what they can to provide rare, genuinely EQUITABLE OPPORTUNITIES for musicians to create with hi quality, low cost apps, unhindered by greed & economics, I hope you already got this because it will no longer be available by the time this posts..Version: 1.2

✓ Nice addition to the sonic arsenalIt’s true, I have hardware synths with decent piano sounds, but I find this a useful addition. It is effectively three sounds in the same package; piano, synth brass sound and vinyl crackle. Each of which can be shaped to some degree. Sound can be added or removed by balancing the volume of each; right down to zero. The piano is not bad at all. It can be varied with the ‘dark’ control to dampen or enhance the top end. The reverb is decent. There’s the option to add some crunch or tremolo. What’s not to like!.Version: 1.0
