Like I’d gladly pay to fully unlock the game or pay a subscription for unlimited energy. I want to play the game. But I can play for five minutes at a time it gets annoying. I love this game but I think the energy deal is quite annoying. I wanna sit and play the game not do five things then have to wait for my energy to come back up. You need energy to pick up an item to use an item to open a door it’s on the ridiculous side honestly. The only down side is you dont get a lot of energy and each action costs 5 units but takes forever to regenerate, so you end up running out really quickly and not being able to play unless you buy more with real money, but understand the makers have to make money somewhere. ✓ Great game but energy is terrible!Like most of the other reviews, this game is amazing! The puzzles are just difficult enough to keep you interested and the story lines are interesting. However, the time it takes to refill your energy and then how quickly you use that energy in just trying to do a few tasks is not my favorite. I’m sure with time the developers will be able to adjust this in some way that benefits them and those who play the game. But in the meantime, it makes it frustrating when I have to wait a day or longer for my energy bar to completely fill back up in order to enjoy playing. ✓ Serious potentialThis game, in my opinion, is very comparable to the Nancy Drew games which is great. However, the story line wasn’t my cup of tea at all. And the story just keeps going, and going, and going, and going. By the second story I was over the preacher and the sci-fi stuff. I think this app has GREAT potential to be good though. I love that you can communicate with the people throughout the game, and I love that you actually have to solve things and explore. I think it would be really cool if you could choose different stories to play such as more realistic type murder mysteries instead of strictly the same story continuing on and on. ✓ I really enjoy the game but…Love the game have played 5 of the main adventures and 4 of the bonus quests. Only issue is that energy takes far to long to regenerate so you can play for 20mins and then you need to wait over 24 hours for it to top back up again. I have brought some of the in game purchases as I really enjoy the game and don’t mind paying a bit so the developers make money they should be paid for there art however I have spent around £10 now and will not likely pay anymore as if I was to pay more I could just buy a full came for my switch or Xbox and not worry about energy. It is sad because I do really like the game and just wish I could play more but not paying £20 a week just to pay a mobile game. I could get a tripleA rated game for £60 and play it endlessly. I really think this game needs to sort its payment and energy structure out better tbh I would pay like maybe £2 for each adventure if didn’t need to worry about energy but paying £5 for enough gems to get 300 energy which lasts 20 minutes just isn’t feasible. Surprisingly good more a detective game with fair story but much more about finding objects, combining and using in the right location. ✓ Energy takes too long to charge, but amazing gameThis is my favourite game on my phone. There are multiple different games/storylines within this, my favourite is the Supernatural genre games. They really make you think and I am truly addicted. I only have 2 x criticisms. 1). Energy - runs out too fast and takes too long to recharge, meaning micro transactions if you want to continue. 2). You have the option to watch a video to reduce your energy spend by 20%, which is cool, but every time I watch the video and go back to the game it is silent and I have to reload the game to get sounds back. Other than that the guys that made this game have done such a good job, that I actually checked the PlayStation Store to see if they sell a version of this game. ✓ Great game, can barely playThe game is super fun, challenging but not too challenging. That said, you get about 5 minutes of play and then you have to wait over a day for the energy to fully recharge. Each action is a minimum of 5 energy which is too much, and once an hour you’re allowed to watch an ad for 20 extra energy. Sometimes the ad only rewards 4 energy and you can’t watch another for more. Today I went my energy randomly jump from 15 to 0 without me making any moves. The energy is glitchy and it’s frustrating because this would be SUCH a fun game if they could get it sorted. I would gladly buy a package for unlimited energy, I’ve already spent around $45 in extra gems in the past month and had to cut myself off because that’s an insane amount of money to spend on a game. If there was a one time fee I’d consider it, but that’s unsustainable. When I contacted them regarding the energy glitches they told me I had just spent the energy performing actions, rather than listening to me and addressing the glitches. The clues are not linear; you collect something you will need later or you find a puzzle but you need to find something to make it playable. And I love that there is a hint button. The puzzles are challenging but not impossible. graphics are nice. Music is decent. The story line is okay. I tend to space out during the longer non-playable parts. Maybe if there was useful information I had to listen for I might pay more attention. The biggest issue is the energy, mentioned in many other reviews. I can see what my energy level is at the start of play, but then it’s not anywhere on the screen during the game. And no where does it tell you how much energy actions cost. The only problem is that the energy takes forever to refill, it’ll be like 4 hours since I’ve played and my energy isn’t full. Also, it uses a lot of energy. I bought some energy to refill, and I feel like it subsumes too much so I’ll be out in just a couple of minutes. It makes playing not as enjoyable if I have to constantly wait only to play one or two puzzles. Also, for some of the cutscenes, my app glitches and I can’t watch some of the storyline. I was able to complete my first story and it was absolutely amazing I would wait till I was at max energy then continue to play, It was something I looked forward to at the end of the day. I started my second story now and I’m a bit over 40% though the story but came across when ever I finished this one puzzle it just kicks me off but would still take away the energy I had used before I was kicked off but still restarting the puzzle not letting me move forward. I paid to have all versions unlocked but then you can only play for so long and for a while there when I would go back or continue in a game I would have to start over it play the last scene over. I believe that has been fixed. I do love this game but have a way that during individual scenes/episodes you can also earn energy or hints instead of watching videos all the time. Within 15-20 minutes of play you're out of energy you provide an ad to gain only 20 more which doesn't last 1 minute, the cappuccino is 300 gems but there's no way to get gems besides the few given in daily logins, you gain 1 energy every 5 minutes it's nearly impossible to play this game twice in the same day. It would be nice to at least get full energy upon completing a story, daily finds that give energy or gems. To me personally this is one of if not the best mystery solving games in the app store please find a way to make the game more playable. ✓ Beautiful game but money orientatedI just want to start by saying this is the most beautiful phone game I’ve ever seen and has a really great story line and you can tell a lot of time and effort has gone into this. However, I have to say that the energy runs out FAR too quick. It takes 10 energy for every action and you get 1 action every 4/5 minutes. It takes far too long to get a decent amount of energy to allow you to be immersed into the game again. I know this is a way of making money and whilst I appreciate you should be paid for this work it just seems like a cheap trick, people won’t want to pay to play if they feel like they’re being taken out of the game constantly. ✓ AWESOME!It has been a while since I’ve found a “portal” of games that are not only interesting but keep me thinking outside the box. I’ve never been much of a fan of “hidden object” games, but these incorporate such vivid stories and unique puzzles that I had to keep it. What I like most is that more games are always being added. And did I mention they are practically free. For a small (~$2) purchase you have access to all the games. If you don’t have the money or don’t want to pay, there are still 5-6 free (very well scripted) stories to get lost in for several weeks (or months depending how often you play). And you can play them as many times as you want. The only drawback I have is that some of the “objects” in the hidden games are difficult to see, mostly because my eyesight isn’t that great. I guess that’s why I never really cared for “Hidden object” games before. But these stories are so well done that for me it is a small price to pay. Every action you make consumes 5 energy everything from opening doors, picking up items, using said items, etc. everything requires energy so you get around 5-15 minutes of play time before you’re out of energy and have to either watch ads for more, pay for more, or just flat out wait. Overall you get little play time before you have to wait several hours for your energy to be full to actually play a little bit. You could add a small fee to pay to have infinite amount of energy which in my opinion would be worth it since other then the energy is a great game. You could also just add mini games to earn energy or even just reduce the time it takes to get energy and possibly reduce the amount of energy it takes to do every action from five to one or even two that way you still have plenty of time to play but you don’t have an overflowing amount of it to the point that you can just finish the whole mystery in 1 sitting. But as stated before it’s a great game the experience is fun it has an interesting story along with giving you plot details as you go through it, the energy is the only complaint I have for the whole game..Version: 2.10.3

✓ Love this game butI absolutely love this game but did the new I phone update and the game no longer loads I can hear it but the screen is black and I miss my daily fix I really wish they would fix it as I went onto app help and it takes you to a foreign language website which is impossible to navigate if you don’t know what language it’s in to translate it so no help there hopefully this review is seen and I can get some help by anybody after all apple can’t stop themselves from changing things in updates I’ve had to change so much back..Version: 2.9.11
✓ LOVE THIS GAMEOng fr, best game ever. I thought it would be some silly little puzzles, but this game has amazing graphics, story telling, and is actually challenging and has me totally hooked. I really love that there aren't ads!! I see critical reviews about the energy running out but I haven’t had a negative experience with the energy (at least not yet!). I only play before bed at night so maybe it’s because I let my energy save up all day, but I get a solid 30-45 minutes of play time before I run out and I think its very reasonable. Im happy to watch a few ads in order to finish up a couple tasks before I stop playing for the night. ✓ Absolutely incredible game.I’ve been playing for a while now, I have probably completed 20-30 adventures. I sit and play every night before bed and I have to say it’s my favourite game!! From the animation, to the captivating storylines, the puzzles, the interactivity, its all amazing. I have spent a lot of time and certainly a lot of money on this game purely because I keep wanting to play it and need energy! The offers for gems to buy energy and hints etc are fair too, as are the prices for the passes to get extra gems daily. Also updates every so often with a TON of new adventures, as well as series and bonus adventures. I seriously love this game and hope the creators never stop making new adventures, as I struggle to find games I enjoy and stick with, but ill be playing this forever lol. Excellent de-stresser and helps wonders with my brain function, I had a baby earl January and baby brain fog is no joke y’all. ✓ EnergyI love this game but one of the main issues that many players and I have complained about is the energy. When I first played, I was amazed by how well the game was made, but then all of a sudden I had no energy. I have to wait hours just for a 2 minute game play and then even more waiting. I will be playing the game one second and then the next I’m met with a “not enough energy” screen. I really hope the developers fix and adjust the energy system so that it fits better for the game. You can try to make it less energy every move or make it so that only important moves cost energy. You only get 1 energy every 4:30 minutes, which is like 16 energy every hour which is only 3 moves. I hope you guys change the energy system. Other than the energy problem, it’s an amazing game that I’ll still continue to play..Version: 2.10.11
✓ Fantastic but energy problemI really love this app. It’s beautiful regarding scenery and the stories are really fun to play out. However the only issue I have with the game is that the energy runs out way too fast and it takes way too long for it to replenish. I’ll start with 300 energy and then I’ll play the game for 10 minutes and I’m empty again and have to wait an irl day for it to replenish to 300 again. Maybe this could be edited in a future update? ✓ All GamesI absolutely love the games. The graphics are amazing and the story lines are captivating but it’s almost impossible to play. You’re forced, after about three to five minutes, to either pay for energy, watch ads or just wait for an hour to even be able to make one single move. I completely understand that the developers need money (which I have paid by the way) to continue their awesome work, however, the gameplay should be much smoother. Artifex Mundi is wonderful and I love every game but this needs to be addressed. I’ve read the reviews and also the responses from the developers and it seems like the developers say they are working on the energy problem but everything is the same. I’m assuming that the reason you (the developers) have created these awesome games is because you want people to play them and be able to immerse themselves into the storyline, thus encouraging people to buy the game, but that is not possible the way it is. Very frustrating. And I want to add (after reading one of the responses you wrote to one of the reviewers) that yes, other developers do use “energy systems” for gameplay but none are as ridiculous, or demand more money from the players, than yours..Version: 2.10.12
