✓ Bought the lifetime app, disconnects with our LG every few minutesFails to recognize our LG OLED every few minutes and we have to completely reboot the app to make it work again. App displays as still connected to the TV, but none of the icons work. The problem might be because I have ApplePay activated on my iPhone, so it locks after about 15 seconds of non-use (and needs Face ID or my passcode to unlock). I can’t be the only security-conscious ApplePay iPhone user. All my other apps stay on and ready when my phone security activates, and when I unlock the phone i just pick up where I left off. What good is a TV remote app that you have to reboot EVERY TIME you want to use it?.Version: 1.3

After the last time it didn’t connect, I decided to delete the app and download again. (I just needed to turn my tv off and back on). Get the crap would I want to do that when I should be able to use it for free as I was as other tv apps do and after already paying for the tv? ✓ It alrightIt’s convenient to have a remote app on your phone and I don’t mind the $20 subscription but the only thing is you have to turn on your TV before you start using the remote. I don’t know if it’s just my phone or if it is a glitch, but whenever I connect to it and the TV’s off and I press the power button it says “are you sure you want to disconnect?”. I’d also add that when your phone turns off or you go off the app, the controls don’t work and the only thing you can do is control the volume. The input button doesn’t work either, it just takes me to the lg store. I’ve found a work around but I’d rather use the input button than the method I’m already using..Version: 1.3

I was sold on the screen mirroring feature that this app claimed to do, but I cannot get it to work for the life of me. I was able to upload some home videos and play them on the TV, but it was extremely difficult and frustrating to even get that to work and could only upload one at a time then go through a drawn out process from the very beginning to get another to load. The track pad is practically unusable because it’s way too sensitive. A tiny movement makes the cursor fling all the way across the screen. ✓ GlitchThere’s a glitch in the system. If I navigate around the television I have to keep switching back-and-forth to navigation in order for it to work. Another words the small diamond that appears on the screen works fine for up down left right but then the next time I use it it won’t work. So I have to switch out of that mode and then switch back into it to get it to work again. This is a consistent problem that happens every time.Version: 1.4
✓ Not Practical Without SubscriptionYou basically have to pay to use the remote overall. It comes with a default swipe feature that is free in the app, thought it lags insanely on the television screen and is quite difficult to control. There is then the traditional arrows that you tap to control the television, but you can literally only use it like... four times and then you have to pay. I just went ahead and deleted the app in the matter of 3 minutes 😅 I would probably give a better rating though if I was willing to pay for a whole subscription..Version: 1.2
✓ Less than one star if possible. DO NOT BOTHERI downloaded this an hour ago, I’ve closed more adverts than controls used. I paused a program and every time I pressed play, I got a pop up to subscribe to premium, and had to close the app and restart just to press play. Don’t waste your time. I think it’s an embarrassment to LG that they advise this app for their smart tv, which comes with a remote, but they want £17.99 just to use an app to control the tv you just bought. And for connection to be lost when you leave the app needs to be reconsidered. To reconnect it over and over again is a bore And I want to watch stuff from my browser and thought I could screen share it from my phone. However it seemed to be only through this app’s browser. ✓ Pay-to-use? Seriously?I feel it's absolutely ridiculous that you need to pay to use this app to control your tv. They reel you in by letting you control your tv for the first few minutes then suddenly an ad comes up asking you to pay in order to continue. You can get rid of this ad by exiting but as soon as you try pressing a button it pops back up, essentially blocking you from being able to continue. This is absolutely ridiculous. I can understand the concept of "pay to remove ads" (those pesky top or bottom screen ads.) But the fact that you cannot use the app at all without paying is ridiculous and downright greedy. ✓ TerribleHad to reinstall as previous version stopped working, it was flakey in any case. Now with this version adverts appear constantly. Lost connection to tv and Caused TV to hang up. Nasty and not fit for purpose. Need to try again. I have two expensive LG TVs and they work well apart from the hopelessly slow programme guide (now 30 seconds!). I don’t expect to have adverts in what should simply be a piece of utility software on my phone to enable me to enjoy the televisions to the full..Version: 1.3
