✓ Really good game! But afew problems...This is my favorite game! I love how you can play with other people and friends! It’s such a clever game and I found some of my new favorite songs! My first problem is that when you join an arena round every one has the same category, I know you do this so it isn’t confusing but it can be bad because the game is waiting to find other people with the same category, and it can make the game load slow. Also, when you play the quiz there some songs that aren’t really there, like let’s say there’s the song playing and you click on the wrong songs, and you get the answers wrong, next time you play the song clicked on the other time pops up again, but they never play that actual song, it’s only an answer. It would be better if you make every answer a song. Over all, this game is amazing! I love it so much, thank you!.Version: 1.1.1
✓ It is great, super fun!I love this game. It has everything you need to level up your knowledge of song names. They update the game with new characters for nearly every holiday. It is a little hard to get the characters, but they give you plenty of time to get them (usually a week). Very fun and I like defeating my family in the game whenever we play it together. The game is surely not the best of the best, but it is very interesting. Very family friendly. It is a little glitchy every once in a while. My game has lost my progress three or four times now, which is quite frustrating. How about instead of an all character catalogue, make a place where you spin a wheel and get a character from whatever the spinner lands on, and don’t put shadows, show full color characters. ✓ Unlimited invitee to a partyCan I just say this app is the best idea that ever invented. A brilliant concept, simple to use and fun to enjoy. My only issue is that hosting a party for 8 people is not great. I think it should be great to have unlimited number of guests participating. Also with covid restrictions and not having to have the opportunity to see families. I do feel that they are not going to be part of it due to only 8 can be invited to a party. Also by having unlimited invitee attending the party, it means people can raise money for a charity by having people be part of the party and it also can open opportunities for people to have teams competing for a grand prize. ✓ Looooving thisSo now that it's working, it's pretty much the only game I'm playing. There are a lot of genres, times and artists to specialise in, which gives the game a lot of depth. Enjoy the side challenges, where you can unlock unique avatars. And all the avatars are super cute. One criticism is that there is significant lag or disfunction when the buttons are pushed. This means that your click doesn't register, or it takes much longer than it should, and you can loose points..Version: 1.3

✓ Avoid the Comedy Songs playlistI am enjoying most of the playlist, some of them do have a lot of repeats (Twenty One Pilots is on EVERY round of Essential Rock) but the comedy songs playlist is not well done at all. I assumed it would be a snippet of Weird Al or Tenacious D or Lonely Island singing, but most of the songs are the audience cheering at one of the above comedic shows and the time runs out before you actually hear a tune to name. Some of the sound bites are blank, and some are wrong (“Springtime for Hitler” was being sung by John Barrowman, not Nathan Lane nor Matthew Broderick, FYI). Most of the others are fun for now, and it is fun although you do have to keep unlocking more playlists because after you play through one about 4 times, you have heard all of the songs and although you can then impress your friends with your mad music skillz (tm), it kind of loses its appeal for you to already know the answers. I suspect I will be deleting this within the month after I play through the genres I like..Version: 1.3

✓ So funLove this game so giving five stars. The only thing I wish was slightly different was the experience of playing in the same room with friends on appletv. We want to use our phones to select songs, but want to hear from the tv speakers. The workaround is to have an extra “player” (who scores zero points on every round) in the game so we can listen through the good speakers. Otherwise, love it. ✓ Bad bugs with Apple TVI got this specifically to use with my Apple TV. Unfortunately, every time I open the app, it thinks I’m opening it for the first time and asks if I want to skip tutorial, and defaults everything to original settings. This is extremely annoying, I don’t even force close the app, just clicking back to the home page and reopening the app, your character and everything gets wiped. No way to save your current character and settings. Makes me not even want to play, additionally it’s waayyy to sensitive to the Apple TV remote touch pad, it goes all over the place and is very hard to control accurately. Very disappointed that such simple fixes are not being addressed..Version: 2.2.1
✓ Latest update fixed crashing issueI revised my review since the game is now playable again after the update. The game is fun & easy to play. It would be nice if the songs on the playlist were updated slightly more often. Currently, if you play enough you can run into repetitive songs on some playlists. Other than that & the previous crashing issues that have been resolved it’s great. And players who only play occasionally may not experience the issues I mentioned at all. ✓ Robbing of KeysI love this game. It’s really fun and good to play with family. However, once the festivals challenge was added, the game has been different for me. Once I exited the game after playing with a friend, I went back in as I had a notification (the game wanted me to play the festival thing in arena mode). So I played it in arena mode, went back to home and saw it took away my keys. It also showed that I needed to claim two achievements and claim the first July Daily Login Challenge, when I had already done both. So where’s the key robbing? Well, I had 184 or 186 keys before I exited the app after playing with friends. But when I went back in, and claimed all I needed to, I was left with 174. Not a big deal but after I leave the app now it takes away my festival progress and leaves a notification on the app. I checked and there is no update I can do. Please fix this. Other than this recent issue, I would give it five stars :).Version: 2.1

✓ Fun game but needs tweakingI just started playing this about a week ago, and I’m currently very obsessed with the arena mode but I wish the game was a little different. Some categories are more popular than others, so sometimes I end up playing with all bots and that gets annoying, so I think to add a feature where we can see how many people are playing what category would be nice. It would also be nice if they somehow incorporated challenges or something more than just getting keys and unlocking playlists. ✓ Great Family Fun!I downloaded the game from Apple Arcade a few days ago and since then I raved about it! I played a family game on Sunday and 1 game went to 5 then 10 and so on! I don’t think I’ve had a single answer which has been less than a second, and I’ve been as quick as possible! Which brings me to my next point… there is an achievement called “perfect” which requires you to get 950 points in one game. Your engine should be programmed to avoid this as you can pick a “correct” answer yet still get it wrong. But it would not work I don’t know if that just happened to us but all my friends had to download the app so we could play the only thing to make this game better is to make it easier to invite friends but besides that it is so fun to play with your friends, unlock keys and get new characters I love all the categories. ✓ Point system needs to changeI believe that the current point system of this game is not doing an adequate job of reflecting the importance of speed and order as it relates to ones score and points reach round. I beleivce that instead of only accounting for the speed to calculate the score (the longer you take to chose the correct answer, the fewer points you get). Instead, I think that you should also be rewarded based on order of answer input. The first player to answer correctly should get more points. The seconds player to answer should get less points than the first but more than the thrid. So on and so forth. This way each round one player is making a leap over the others instead of two players answering at relatively early times and not being able to more forward past anyone in any given round. My idea makes it more...competative. The current point distrubution meathod is rather frustrating and annoying when trying to beat my components so maybe consider....changing it to my idea. thanks . thats why it got 4 stars and not 5. other wise it is a pretty fun game and a well designed application and interface..Version: 2.3

I love the simple design of all the characters and how they all have a different music genre. It’s great how it’s not just the names of the songs, you sometimes have to guess the artists as well! Most of my new fave songs have come from this game!!! Their is such a wide variety to choose from - from country to EDM and also, if ur playing arena then ur not always given the playlist u picked - so you’re not stuck in the “I’ll only listen to this genre and nothing else” loop. Another good thing is that they ACTUALLY ADD MODERN SONGS! Most of the other song guessing games have songs from the 1990’s and nothing else - speaking of which YOU CAN PICK UR DECADE YAYYYYY. ✓ Great multiplayer party fun!We recently hosted a party, various Apple Arcade multiplayer games planned for our evening, but SongPop Party was the ONLY game to work seamlessly for us on multiple devices. Lots of fun for everyone, even those from countries who didn’t hear much of the music growing up. Two suggestions for improvement: -Add some international genres - eg top hits from different countries -Add a Eurovision genre! Possibly by decades..Version: 2.7.1

Plus, it’s easy to get keys, but not to easy. I do think it could be a little more exciting if there were some more updates. But, other then that, I like it a lot! I like how there’s a solo section and a party section to! I love playing with my friends and family! I also love how there’s a calendar where it gives you one key everyday! But, one thing, in some reviews I have seen that people want a chat. Where we can talk to each other during or out of games. I think its a good idea, but in my opinion, I definitely don’t want a chat center. If we get a chat center, 99.9% will probably become a toxic game.. people will probably start saying super rude things to each other, and I don’t wanna change this fun game to a toxic one. Not saying everyone’s gonna be rude though. But there’s not a chat in this game now, so I don’t need to worry about it now. I personally haven’t had issues with losing keys, or my ranking not being updated, or losing data, or whatever…but then again, I don’t really pay that much attention to all that (well, except my keys). ✓ Good butI really really love this game except for the arena game where you can get playlists from stuff you’ve never heard. Let’s say I go into the rock arena, 90% of the time it’s great. But there’s those times where I can get an Italian or Brazilian playlist… like how is that fair? I haven’t unlocked it nor even listened to any of it before. Same goes with artists playlists, I hate the Arctic monkeys so why would I want to play that playlist? I was so excited but, I didn’t have enough coins. So I earned some, and then Taylor Swift was gone. now today, I still can’t find Taylor Swift anywhere. Another problem I had was it kicking me out in the middle or when I was about to start. When I was in a middle of a game, I clicked the answer, it froze for a second then, it brought me back to the start when you open the app. Also when I was picking an album, it did the same thing. ✓ MUCH NEEDED UPGRADEMy family and I loved the original SongPop Party on Apple TV, where you would join on your phone and guess the songs on your phone by swiping gestures. One person played on the Apple TV remote. It's kind of like Kahoot for whoever played those. That app was getting old though and SongPop 2 did not have that party feature. This was a much needed upgrade and it was the reason my family got Apple Arcade. It does not work on Apple TV, but you don't need it. I hope that they will add more characters soon as it is a small roster, but I get on this game every day as it is really awesome and I am so glad they brought back the party feature SongPops 2 and 3 are missing..Version: 1.3

The best part is that is very easy to set up a game and invite others to play with you. My family of 4 has had more fun playing this game than any other game in the Apple Arcade library. ✓ Fast-Paced Fun!!!This game is so much fun!!! I love most of the playlists I have unlocked and have been able to climb to the top of many global leader boards. If I have one complaint, it is that there isn’t a lot of Hip Hop content. I have noticed that the same handful of songs are circulated in this category. In the other categories, as I advance the content seems to become more varied and challenging. This just doesn’t seem to happen in Hip Hop. ✓ Some suggestionsI really like this game. It has enough good songs and variety to make it a good song guessing game. But, I do have some ideas for how to make it even better. I fell like a “gaming” category would be great for people who only really listen to game music. If it were to exist, I would say it should go in “soundtracks”, as a sub-category. ✓ No search bar and barely any Latin artistsI’ve had this game for months now and I really have enjoyed it but there are a few things that throw me off. First, when I click the category “Artists” I always have to scroll down the hundreds of artists just to find one that I want to buy. So I wanted to ask if by any chance there could be a search bar added so that you could just search up an artist instead of having to scroll and scroll for what seems like hours. Finally, when I also click the category for “Artists” there are barely any Latin artists and from what I have found I think it’s just two which are Bad Bunny and Bomba Estero so it would make me really happy if the game could be more inclusive and add more Latin artists. ✓ Eminem please!!!This game is excellent. Really well polished and so much fun to play both with people locally with Xbox and PS4/5 controllers and phones with so much ease. I played SongPop long long long before it came to the new and refined version it is now. One super keen request I have is to please have Eminem as an artist selection. He’s my favourite artist and was available on the older version before arcade. Kudos to you guys though, this game has had me playing on Xmas day with 4 other family members for, no exaggeration, 12 hours straight. ✓ Love itI love the game, I love the playlists, I have found a lot of my favorite songs through the app in addition to rediscovering old favorites I forgot even existed. However, one time I closed the app just to respond to a text message real fast, and when I opened the app again, I had lost all my progress. Playlists, gone. Marked favorites, gone. Avatars and keys, gone. It wasn’t a big deal because I love this app, so I just started over and that was that, however the same problem just reoccurred, which is very frustrating considering how far I’ve gotten. ✓ Good Music Quiz FunThe updates in September have been good. We finally have a better selection of non American music that respects the genre of other nations.
