✓ Great PortThis port of a 3SD classic is fantastic. The puzzles are a great challenge and it has a cozy and warm aesthetic and atmosphere. I noticed a lot of the reviews are complaining about the story in the game, and while it is a bit silly, its cute overall. This isn’t a typical puzzle only iOS or iPad game. It’s a port of a $40 3DS and Switch game, so go in expecting a classic game with story connecting the puzzles together..Version: 1.0.0

✓ Interesting Cases & Fun Mini-gamesThe stories are interesting and most of the puzzles are fun. There are a few where the answer is ridiculous, but they’re logical and enjoyable for the most part. ✓ Excellent for the Apple Arcade!Super happy to see this game on the Apple Arcade. The paid version is kinda eh since you have to pay for it. Since this is included in the arcade, super fun! ✓ NEEDS Level-5 Sign In and Lvl-5 Cloud SaveThis app is also purchasable ; and I did so upon release. Within the non Apple Arcade version, there is a way to link your save file to a Level 5 account. After beating the game and completing all side quests, collecting all items, finishing mini-games, etc, I’d like to load my old save file in this version. That way I can access any new content and have my save files be iCloud saved as well. Please add this feature! Thank you!.Version: 1.0.0

✓ HookedAlready very in to this game. Fun story, challenging puzzles, and I can tell I’ll be spending too much time on my phone for a while. Only suggestion is to add a pause button for the cinematics as a couple times I got distracted by something and missed a bit of dialogue..Version: 1.0.0

I couldn’t get past the first level, even with every single hint!! 😔 which is awful because I would love this game, the graphics are beautiful, the stories fun, just the puzzles are way too difficult! ✓ Keeps the Original Spirit!As someone who played these games on the DS, the app versions have stayed true to the original Layton games and I love them! I’ve replayed all of the first three Prof. Layton games and all the fun and magic is still there. With this new addition to the story, the feel of the game is the same! The puzzles that ask you to think outside the box, the movie scenes that keep you involved in a story, and the characters that are constantly confounded by Layton’s wit! I enjoyed every bit of this, and I hope we get another chapter to tie up some very important loose ends. I also hope we get the other three original Layton games!.Version: 1.0.0
✓ I thought it was charming and perfect for a mobile formatMaybe it’s because I’m new to the Layton world, but I absolutely adored this game. Katrielle is a treat, the tone is silly but likable, and the story is quirky in an endearing way. And then when you consider the mobile phone format I think it’s really well suited. It’s very pick up for a bit, get through a portion, put down again friendly, in the way you want mobile games to be. I don’t necessarily want a full commitment type of game on my phone (or iPad) and this was a good mix where I could play for 8 hours straight, or just for 30 minutes. There are some quirks in the UI that could’ve been handled better, and I found the lack of ability to play in a landscape mode odd. But not enough to detract from my enjoyment. Actually makes me want to go try out the other Layton games, though based on other reviews I’m worried they have less story to them….Version: 1.0.0

✓ Solid with high production valuePlaying on an iPhone 12, no issues encountered. Game is well made, puzzles can be vague, but there are hints if you aren’t sure what they are asking if you. As for content, there appear to be hundreds of puzzles, certainly more than enough. The story is well written. Light hearted, so may not appeal to everyone, but it is solid and provides a good framework for the rest of the game. Voices and music are top notch, so the atmosphere of the game is pleasing. Haven’t played the other Layton games, so this isn’t a comparison. I feel the game stands well on its own and is appropriate for all ages. Don’t listen to the haters..Version: 1.0.0
