✓ Surprisingly good game for F2PI’ve been playing since a few days after release now, and I feel pretty decent about the progression. I haven’t spent any money on it yet, I generally avoid doing so in these types of games because the chances of getting good heroes from gacha mechanics are so low you lose your house over it. I’ve actually summoned a few 5 star heroes from the “f2p” summons, and I’m pretty happy with a few of them. The difficulty feels pretty decent, my only complaint is that you’re not told about certain aspects of gear and what the point of buying low level heroes from the market is..Version: 1.3.34.380.1

✓ Fair to cheap/free to playBeen playing this for a few months now. Not only are the graphics beautiful with many different ways to progress but free/cheap to play is a viable option even once you are past the beginning stages. It is possible to continue to play without feeling like you can’t accomplish anything without spending hundreds. It has heavy content creator support on you tube which the developers actively support. Last but not least I am very impressed with the amount of feedback the developers encourage while actually listening to said feedback and implementing changes as a result. ✓ Complete game with a compelling gameplay loopHave been playing this game on and off over the past year. Extremely fun, beautiful design, thoughtfully made. The champs are relatively balanced, multiple PVE modes each requiring different strategies and champs, requiring you to build out a wide roster and focus on different gear. Would recommend to anyone. Only note of warning is that while it is possible to play F2P, the game goes extremely slowly after a point as some champs are simply required to pass certain points in the game..Version: 1.3.88.458.1

✓ It keeps you playing but…There should be faster play times or even simultaneous without watching. I have over 2500 energy and my battery drains on auto fighting at 2X speed. Unless you have your iPad plugged in for 6 hours as you farm ex potions..doesn’t make sense. Arena battle is hilarious. Shooting flying objects and that’s it. Have more interactive challenge. ✓ Excellent tower defence gameThis is my favourite tower defence game. Great fantasy theme, quality graphics and a good range of mini games and campaigns. Like most games now, it suits the VISA card heroes better than the free to play players. However, I have been playing for free and have had a great time with this game even with the grinding to advance my heroes. There are no bugs or glitches, the developers have done an excellent job of producing a gold standard product. ✓ Story needs some workThis game has amazing graphics and character design especially for a mobile game and the ability to change characters appearance by evolving them jsut makes it all the better but the story could use some work. The main thing driving you to keep playing this game is either story or because it’s that fun and for most games like this it’s the story which is very hard to follow along with in this game. Games like call of dragons have better storytelling and that’s really saying something. The only thing that’s needed is a bit more dialogue telling what’s going on from the story standpoint like the pop up’s in Bloons tower defense 6(but for the story). The existing popups about the story are also quite small and having a small increase in size could help keep the game at a stable player base for years to come..Version: 1.3.46.395.1
✓ Great game - needs couple of adjustmentsLet me just start by saying I love this game! There are only a couple of things I believe they should change about it. First the in-game purchases. They are too expensive not worth the money… They just up the rewards I get for my money. I shouldn’t have to pay 30$ for only 4 legendary summons spins. as a matter of fact, it shouldn’t be more that 5$ and if it was, the most it could be is 10$ but definitely not 30$. Store items bought with money should be better so I can get a good bang for my buck. One more thing that would be better is if auto fights were instant and I didn’t have to wait a long time to get through a map I have already cleared… not everybody has a lot of free time to wait. Lastly but not least, make a way for us to be able to get resources back from characters we upgraded and evolved, in case we don’t think it’s worth having that character anymore and want to use the resources for another character. ✓ You have to try itOnly very rarely do I find a game I want to play every day. I’m a regular player of Marvel Contest of Champions for 3 years…. This is my new addition. It’s Tower defence genre, but that’s like comparing a Ford Focus to a Ferrari EVO 399. This is like no tower defence game, ever. Yes, you place your heroes on a map to block the advance of hordes of enemies intent on plundering your crystal reserves. That’s were the similarity ends. Your heroes are tiered in value, quality and abilities. The rarest have history, personalities and godlike attributes. Your heroes are summoned using special crystals you can win or buy. But the ultras are so rare, you’d be wasting your money trying to get one. You can win them in special events, or just randomly with a crystal. Their drop rate is ridiculously low… this deters buying hundreds of dollars worth of crystals , you only get a 0.2% drop rate on one of them, that’s 500 to 1 . 5 crystals cost $10+ , yet I just won a major 5* with one crystal. You can upgrade all your heroes, gaining spells and attacks. There are raids, guild bosses to defeat, and a whole shedload of quests and side quests. The graphics are stunning, the game runs as smooth as you like on a basic iPad , music and voices are top quality. And it’s free to play …I mean… HUH? 🤷🏻♂️ If this had cost $10 plus in game purchases? I’d still play, it’s that good..Version: 1.3.24.374.1
✓ She a keeperThis is one of if not the most F2P friendly games out there. Is it a “gacha” game (meaning get you to spend $$$)? Technically yes. Does it feel that way when playing? Not at all. I’ve been playing two weeks and I’ll find myself put two hours into it without losing things to do. I also pulled a hand full of legendary heroes already thanks to the many double drop rate events. ✓ I really love this game!There are multiple reasons I’m giving 5 stars for this game: 1, It’s obviously the prettiest game out there. The attention of details and the work they put into the models is really admirable! 2, The game rewards every type of players just playing the game. Casual player or a whale it doesn’t matter you will enjoy the game because they don’t force you to spend money to progress forward in the game. If I did put some cash into the game it was because I’m supporting the developer team for their amazing work. 3, This game is 90% pve and 10% pvp which I really like! It’s nice that the game doesn’t force you into pvp against whales but you have a choice to play pvp/ranked runs if you want to. Not to mention more arena modes are on the way! ✓ Short honest reviewGame is enjoyable the art looks good. It’s very fun, especially if you’re into tower defense. They really try to push the gatcha experience to the max. They try to get you at every turn. However, I’ve been playing for about a month and a half almost 2 months and I haven’t spent anything on the game whatsoever and it got good stuff. It just takes some time. Which is the good thing about this game because most gatchas make it almost impossible to keep going without paying at least once. ✓ Great game but I have a problem with friendship pointsThere is a few tweaks needed in this game, any kind of paid packages are insanely overpriced, the worst thing in this game in my opinion is the pointlessness of social points, you can have 100 friends and only get points from 40 actions? Social points give you next to nothing in terms of energy. Why not less us send and receive as many social points as possible? There doesn’t need to be a cap? Bad design if you ask me on that part. I feel like selling of items needs some quality of life improvements. I find it hard to sort stuff out. Even just make selling on the screen you go to accept them easier. Like make it so you can filter what gets sold there or auto sold more. Similar games have features like this. Main point is social points, fix them please! ✓ Mixed feelings - amazing game.I have been truly excited for this game, love the developer - been playing MLA for two years straight, never missed a single day. And I like tower defense, just could never get into one. Had a hunch this one would be epic… I was right! Masterpiece, pricey-ish but worth it for the quality of the game, obviously a splash of what we will refer to as “piggy bank competitive edge” because who doesn’t have fun racing to the end…oh wait there never is one. 😋🤌🏼 what’s not to love? One downside: time investment goes straight to the sun - auto battles for important resources are not sweeps, or even skippable one by one. ✓ Solid title for rpg and tower defence playersThe gameplay and strategy are at a good level to keep players interested and there’s a good balance of characters to allow for changes in play styles. The graphics are top notch for a mobile game and I have enjoyed checking out the various character designs, which are diverse and aesthetically pleasing. I would personally have liked to have had more of an in depth story in the campaign as I enjoy learning the lore of a game and character backgrounds, but this doesn’t take away from the enjoyment. If you are an average earner like myself then don’t expect to buy many (if any) packs or bundles other than the initial pack as prices are way out of my cost range, which is sad as I do spend money from time to time on the games I play to support the developers. That said, the game is still enjoyable if you are playing for free, which I think a lot of people take for granted these days, and has a good level of difficulty to keep you coming back. 8/10 only because of the in app prices..Version: 1.3.24.374.1

✓ Hard and annoyingFirst off this game is so fun and I love the character designs, but what’s a annoying about this game is one, it takes forever for me to get a legendary hero, two I hate the normal campaign because it get harder and harder this is suppose to be normal campaign and these combatants do way to much damage and they spawn to rapidly, three when there is an event that has battling in it you start off with the tutorial or the store which only last three to four minutes after that you are open to these battles that have three hundred BP and higher it must be annoying to have access to these events and aren’t able to do much because of your low BP, four what’s with these hero’s visits why are these battles so hard is so annoying.Version: 1.3.62.419.1

The learning curve isn’t too steep so you can get up to speed in no time. It has a similar feel to early Raid Shadow Legends. The downside is the same one we all face that the more you pay the better you do. ✓ Extremely fair.The game has great features all around. Tells you which gears you should focus on, records your fastest progress for auto battles or let's you save over the fasted for your preferred run. Has a ton of strategy, even if you have powerful gear you won't survive unless you place your hero's properly and if you have less than adequate gear you still have a chance with strategic placement. Lots of overall minor and major improvements over all other similar gacha games. Plus the art is really good. The drop rates are pretty poor with both summons and equipment drops. But I will say every 30 or so gear raid runs I get at least 1-2 good equipment that will be very long term gear. It's a much faster and balanced process overall. If you really enjoy the game I suggest getting the basic monthly pass. It's $5 first time and $10 every time after that. But it is very helpful in helping progress. Overall 9/10 rating for this game. Thus, if you play 4 auto-run rounds, the game literally plays 4 rounds with you watching. There is ZERO time saved. ✓ Ignore the reviews about “pay to win”.I’ve played for FREE and played every piece of available content, won tournaments, obtained many legendary hero’s and can actually compete in the public arena. The balance and strategy involved means even a player who paying can be beat by a tactical person. Resources are very easy to obtain and the amount you are given as a new player are more than enough to get your account growing. Hero’s are also easy to build and there are no resources locked behind a pay wall. Events are often and yield rewards for those even playing for free and best of all YOU DONT HAVE TO GRIND FOR HOURS ON END..Version: 1.3.85.452.3

✓ Amazing game so far!To start off the graphics in this game are gorgeous. The characters as super detailed, even the low star ones that no one uses which shows this company isn’t cutting corners. The tower defense system was a bit of a surprise since I was expecting something more like Raid but it’s executed pretty well. You get a pretty balanced amount of summons so you’re not getting TOO strong but still get the opportunity to do a 10 pull every once in a while. Something that really caught my eye though was how Voltus had a kind of “evolution” system, I really dig being able to see my characters change as they grow stronger so I hope there’s more characters that change like that but I’ll just have to get further into the game. I don’t mind the auto-fight feature it’s a great way to obtain items but the speed could be enhanced so it doesn’t take so long. You can literally do nothing else in-game while using the feature and watch the identical fight replay over and over. Speeding the process would allow players to advance through other content. A mix of tower defense and roleplaying games with tons of beginner content that will keep you busy and entertained for a good while. It seems the vast majority of the content focus is on the beginning however, as the campaign runs out of levels around the time you finish the story line. ✓ Shadow vs watchersLess micro transactions and far less commercial pop-ups! Game play is good, hero graphics are great. Easier to get summoning shards and diamonds. My only complaint is that you can’t exchange character puzzle pieces for summon shard pieces. Can be difficult to gather all puzzle pieces for hero’s in events if you can’t be glued to the screen during the entire event. Still, great game. ✓ The best of its kindA tower defence, character collection game, but unlike the usual the characters are the towers. I have been playing since global release, and haven’t missed a day since, nearly finished with end game gear raids, completely ftp. Will take a lot of patience, some preparation before for the events each week which are shown before hand. You will open a lot of crystals, and they give them out rather generously. Sometimes you will get very lucky, sometimes you’ll get the same terrible character 4 times in a row (wish I was exaggerating) or nothing useful at all, but that’s just how these games are, and I have a lot of fun either way. There are many characters, incredibly well designed, with different voices/personalities, and abilities, used for the steadily growing content, like story campaign, gear dungeons, arena, limited time events and other modes. It is a strategy game, and can be difficult to understand at first but if you take the time to learn the mechanics and how gear works (there are some good Content creators to help), you can get very far without spending but it does help to progress faster. With that said the developers are incredibly generous, and I think it would be worth it to support the game if you enjoy its type, and will start to do so myself soon. ✓ Love this gameI have been playing this game for about 3 months now. It’s a really deep game with a wide variety of hero’s to use. I strongly recommend following a few content creators for this game as it would be difficult to learn everything on your own, especially the nuances of it. A couple are my favorite creators are Ash and Ma Bucket…especially the ma bucket hero tier list. Every time I pull a new hero I have a look at his list to see how it stacks up. It runs really smooth. The graphics are great. Lots of content. Just when you think you’ve figured it out, there is a whole new option that open up for you like the void rift. There’s so much on offer, and you really don’t have to drop any real money unless you want to. ✓ Wayyy better than Raid Shadow Legends!I leave this brief and to the point I mainly want to make. Quit playing Raid and play this instead. Unlike raid this game is challenging and fun because of the strategy that is implemented. Raid plays off of gambling where this game actually plays off of fun. I got 8 legendaries in my first month and a half of playing. Whereas if I remember right it took me 3 months just to get one in Raid. I’ll reiterate….UNINSTALL RAID and don’t look back. This company listens to its players, where RAID doesn’t give a crap about its player base. They just care about their greed. My main complaint with WOR is the similar pricing they charge for their packages. With that said you really don’t need to buy anything in this game and you can still succeed without feeling left behind if you don’t purchase anything. I’ve spent maybe $30 in this game and actually fill like I got something for it. Where as RAID it’s a pure gamble and most likely you will be wasting your money. ✓ Pretty game. Very poor summon rates.First the good… The game is very pretty. Doesn’t lock up. The storyline is good enough. The characters are very interesting. The game mechanics and Flow are good. Its a solid entry in this category. Now the bad… Summon rates are just so poor. I guess it’s not unreasonable to think that there is a ceiling to games like these where the progress that you can make becomes a slog unless you increase spending. To clarify, I try to spend less than $10 a week. I think it hit the point where progressing without spending a lot more money it’s going to get difficult. Its fast becoming unsatisfying. I don’t want to put down the game makers. This is just the genre. It took me a couple months, but I’m solidly at the severely diminishing returns level now. ✓ A Great and well made gameFor starters each character has their own unique combat and interaction system and beautiful designs and backstory’s, not to mention the game itself is beautiful and frequently updated giving fun new quest lines and challenges as well as not being entirely pay to win like most games. This game is different from most pay to win games as it frequently grants you “hero summoning crystals and gems” as rewards for completing the story line and even offers a magnificent legendary hero as a incentive to do the main story line.
