WhyHello firstly I think it is a good idea that they made a math version of Duolingo and I thought it would be great because the language one was amazing but if you could please add add a feature in the sign up menu we’re you put what year you are in so it will do stuff From that year or put a topic that you are struggling on so it will help on that subject.Version: 1.9.1

BadThis is an bad app don’t download it and if you did don’t lose your streak otherwise duo will destroy you.Version: 1.9.1

Not badNot bad although the interface for using the clock is being tedious and takes ages (relatively speaking) to answer the questions even when you have no problem understanding time. I skipped straight to the last section (which is an available option thank God) because even near the end extremely easy questions are peppered throughout. The app is useful for improving speed of arithmetic and reinforcing basics but that's it for the moment. My maths leave a lot to be desired but I unfortunately wasn't able to learn much here. Still it's free and it does have limited value..Version: 1.9.1

App freezing bug.If you have submitted a correct answer and accidentally press anything else before “continue” then the button turns grey and the whole app is inaccessible and needs to be restarted. Really annoying when you’re near the end of a lesson. Good app otherwise, hope they implement more features in the future. A handy thing would be to have a button that opens up a doodle pad that you can write down you’re working out on..Version: 1.8.0

DuolingoChains are not math I am grade 5 I did not learn it in school some of duolingo math is fake.Version: 1.5.0

WAY too simpleOk so Duolingo is amazing but this app doesn’t live up to its standards. I feel it is directed towards young children as all it does is teach you basic multiplication and division, even on the intermediate setting. If the producers spent a bit more time on it, it could be a great app. For example, it doesn’t teach anything - all it is is revision really. I would recommend it for children under 13 but no older as it is rather basic. When I downloaded it I didn’t realise it was an app for such young children..Version: 1.9.1

Not so good for meFirstly started fine I picked something that was way to easy for me but carried on with it anyway then if came to a question with pick all the boxes that have 15 in them there was only 1 out of 4 that made 15 so I picked it and pressed continue. The app kept saying I was wrong I checked over and over again checking every possible answer yet it was telling me I was still wrong finally I picked all of them and then it decides to say correct now does 6+6+6 equal 15 no I don’t think so really all you have to do is re-code that question but it is so very frustrating when you are the correct and a computer is doubting you. The questions for 7 to 12 year olds is way to easy I learned them all when I was 6 so try make them challenging..Version: 1.0.0

Cyber bullying.Would you stand by and watch? Or would you say something? Would you show courage? Or would you laugh with the others while someone gets hurt. Would you think it’s not my business or it’s not my promblem. Well it is your problem. Cyber bullying is real. If you know somebody is being bullied don’t just watch. Stand up. Tell an adult before something bad happened. YOU. Have the power to do something..Version: 1.1.0

Not that goodDuolingo as a languages app is brilliant but I find that the math one lets it down. First of all the work is too easy, I entered my age as 13 and it started testing me with sums like 2+3 which is useless to me! They also give u a line and u have to drag the arrow to as close to the answer as u can but there aren’t any numbers except for at the start and the end (sorry if that sounds confusing). Because there aren’t any clear marking of roughly where the answer is, the challenge comes to working out where to put the arrow rather than focusing on the actual question itself! I might recommend this to younger children (or even someone trying to learn English and it’s numbers) but if your an English speaker over the age of ten don’t download this :(.Version: 1.9.1

Very good but!Amazing app for younger kids in higher levels of primary school (year 5 to year 6), my child loved using the app and had a 9 day streak as they also have Duolingo and also have a 14 day streak on that. They only downloaded the app because they could get gems on Duolingo language but they decided to start using it and it has improved their knowledge on maths but..they had a 9 day streak about to have a 10 day streak but the app reseted their streak having them start at day streak 1 again! They were a bit upset but Duolingo can you fix it??.Version: 1.9.1

It’s pretty goodIt’s pretty good but I like the French learning better.Version: 1.5.0

PotentialNice simple and functional design, but the content is extremely limited - to the extent that it’s not worth using in an educational environment. It could be excellent with lots of further development. Some topics and units that might be particularly suited to it would be: numbers and numerals, historic number systems, non-base 10 systems, associativity/commutativity/distributivity of operations, set theory, symmetry and group theory, logic, functions and calculus, linear algebra etc..Version: 1.0.0

Imperial/MetricA Worldwide app should only use metric. A simple solution would be an option to select either metric or imperial. Imperial is basically pointless unless you live in USA. Even then they have to learn imperial if they want to do business or travel internationally. Please give the option to disable the imperial calculations. So stupid. Who made this?.Version: 1.9.1

Backward thinking imperial measurementsAs soon as they asked me to convert pounds to ounces I deleted the app straight away. Took me back to primary school in the 60s. Thank god we converted from this nonsensical outdated way measuring..Version: 1.0.0

StreakThere is one problem in this… WHERE ARE THE STREAK FREEZES!? I always forget ONE day and I lose it I am deleting this now..Version: 1.9.1

Daily StreaksTo much addiction to daily streaks. My child is obsessed with she want it every day. But we take her iPad on holidays incase something happens to it. The actual app is good with math. She’s learnt so much more. I think should get the app but don’t let your use it everyday..Version: 1.9.1

EhhI’m really bad at math and I’m not sure if this helps, I don’t know why I still don’t know what 7+7+7=.. I think it’s because my brain is weird and this kind of helped..Version: 1.3.0

377th writer, app not the same as itself. Not that good honestly. It doesn’t give you the feel for the Duolingo language learning app. Maybe Duolingo should just stick to literacy. Also, bring back tiny cards, what ever happened to that. I’ve been learning Russian then quit after 260 days because of the new update removing most of my progress, now learning Hindi instead. I plan to become a polyglot in the future by using Duolingo but that may not happen if my progress if it is resets again. If it removes my progress I might not be accepted to become a linguist. Thank you!.Version: 1.1.0

Switching profilesGood, but I have more than one child and it would be nice to switch profiles between one and the other..Version: 1.1.0

Idk whyWhy is this created.Version: 1.6.0

Spelling wrongWhy does Duolingo try to teach us the metric system with incorrect spellings the unit of length it the METRE, it is not spelt Meter, that’s used for things like your electricity meter. It might be the way they spell it in the USA but the USA doesn’t use the metric system They still use Imperial Feet and Inches, which Duolingo Maths tries to test me on and I’ve not used it in over 50 years. Please can we have an option as to what measurement system you are being tested on. It can’t be that hard?.Version: 1.6.0

3 starsIt’s alright. It is fun as an occasional brain trainer, but I don’t find it as fun as the original app. It is certainly learning mathematics the Duolingo way, but it is not as engaging. I feel there is not much to do, as there are no leaderboards, no XP progress, no friend quests. As well as the fact that there are only two options for learning, both of which are rather limited. In summary. Duolingo Math is ok for younger children, but not so engaging for older kids..Version: 1.5.0

Wish there was more difficultyI’m a GCSE student and I tried this because Duolingo has really helped with my language learning but it’s all very easy maths of basic sums. Hopefully in future you could add more complex stuff ( I got this for help with quadratic equations not 5+5=10) but still I’ll keep using it in hope of future updates.Version: 1.2.0

Way way waaaay too easyIf you’re in elementary school this could be a bit challenging, maybe? Everyone else should look for something more difficult, because this app is just too simple for adults..Version: 1.0.0

Vos équations ne sont pas faisables il n’y a pas de solution.Merci!Avis.Version: 1.5.0

No placement testThis app, in its current state, is not worth it so long as there is no placement test. I understand that a solid foundation is fundamental to mathematical success, however there should be a way to assess if someone has those fundamentals rather than forcing them to go through all of them again to get to the topics they need help with. In its current state, I absolutely cannot recommend this app to anyone who has the basics down. There are many other recourses that will not waste your time, chose them over this..Version: 1.0.0

Good app too easyThis app is very good I enjoy it it’s fun and everything but it’s too easy. I watched my daughter do the math but it looked to easy she is young still didn’t make it too middle school yet next year but it’s a little to easy make it more Advanced I mean I understand the first few lesson have to be easy but after that it has to get harder that’s just what I think.Version: 1.0.0

Perfect RefresherI’m in high school and during the school holidays my brain seems to forget the years knowledge. This app is perfect for a little refresher every day. The only thing I’d ask for is and choice to use imperial or metric system so area calculations are more relevant. If you’re in high school or any age really this app is perfect for refreshing your skills..Version: 1.2.0

Confusing GraphicsThe app is good the exercises and progression are spot on. The problem is that the graphics can be very confusing. For example, in some questions they represent 3 as two blocks of 3 so that’s 6. You put in the answer based on 6 and in practice it’s wrong as they mean 3. The graphics need to be more intuitive as some of the basic division questions require the skills of a Bletchley Park codebreaker to get right. I am reasonably competent at maths and can do the exercises if the questions are clear. I am of an age when mental arithmetic was an essential skill and I thought this app would help sharpen the saw but didn’t. I was keen to improve my maths skills but gave up on this app because it is just such a confusing way of representing questions. Such a shame as I love the Duolingo language app and have the premium version. If the graphics are sorted out I will come back it..Version: 1.9.1

Just 2 EZHello, Duolingo. I have been a user for over 4 years. Now that I’m in 6th grade, and math is getting more and more complicated, this system just isn’t going to work for me. Please give users an option where they can practice, say, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II. Best wishes, DoGgOdAtOpG.Version: 1.0.0

Only useful for very young children and very stupid adultsThis would be good if it targeted university-level maths. Sadly it doesn’t and it isn’t..Version: 1.6.0

LimitedIt is only very limited basic maths. Doesn’t progress pass year 5 maths.Version: 1.4.0

We need streak freezesDuo math didn’t even give me a message last night pls add streak freeze because I had a 115 streak and suddenly this happened well I mean the app is ok but when I do a 9 it becomes a 2.Version: 1.9.1

Good app but…This is a nice app but could do with more courses and harder topics. Had potential but will never be as good as Duolingo English..Version: 1.3.0

Way TOO EASYI’m 14 so I set my age to the adult as elementary would be WAY too easy so I started up with doing maths problems eg 2x4 which it’s way too easy. So I moved on to decimals which was still like 0.6 in fractions and vice versa. As a person who is fond of Duolingo and has a 64 day streak I am very disappointed. I understand it is still getting updates and will get better in the future. I am hopeful, Thanks PS: You should make a GCSE level thanks.Version: 1.1.0

TOO EASY!!!All of the lessons are too easy. I tried to change the age, hoping the level would increase, but it was still the same. I would recommend this app for 4 - 9 years of age..Version: 1.9.0

It’s ‘just alright’First of all, I think this app is an interactive and fun way to learn math. I never struggled in math, but I wanted to try this to get even further ahead, as I like to challenge myself to be the best. However, I thought that you could choose certain courses (ex. Addition, Subtraction, etc…) but no, there are only 2 age groups that span across a bunch of ages. And you can’t get it harder than the second age group. This is something that made me get rid of it, as all of the things I was doing in duolingo math was just a repeat of what I had already done in school. Second of all, this app is highly in favour of NOT using the metric system. I set my location to a country that using the metric system, and I’d say in about 2 hours of doing the measurement questions, I only got 5 metric-system-based question. The rest was in feet and yards and etc which I need not know. I feel like there are some other issues (ex. having to draw numbers in one stroke) but they’re to small and ridiculous to put in this review where I’m focusing on mostly major issues. In conclusion: if location set to metric-system-based country, use metric system. And make harder questions..Version: 1.2.0

No motivation techniquesCompared to the original language Duolingo this app is definitely missing some of the motivational features. It is also quite simple so far … I thought to give it a proper workout, I would start at a simple level, but it is very slow to enable progression & I am currently doing rounding … 😂.Version: 1.8.0

Too easyI literally get 100% in math at school and last test i got 110% for the bonus question and i want something so i can actually feel a challenge.Version: 1.0.0

Elementary school level. Some of the problems where you need to drag shapes and lines around on the screen are awkward on a phone and unnecessary. The handwriting recognition is also a bit useless and silly. Went through the whole thing quite quickly, then deleted it. Don’t expect anything like the language Duolingo..Version: 1.6.0

Could do with an initial test like DuolingoThe exercises seem very easy. The language version gives an initial test which lets you jump in at a level appropriate to your knowledge, whereas this starts right at the beginning with very simple arithmetic. Not for me..Version: 1.2.0

Bad pointThis app does not know what a 6 is.Version: 1.8.0
