Relic Hunters: Rebels for Positive User Reviews

NostalgiaJust like old games used to be… this game reminds me of the popular games back in my childhood. the 2D graphics style, simple controls, no annoying ads or cash grab offers. truly well-made, netflix!.Version: 1.0.5

Fun shooterTwin stick shooter with auto aim and lots of upgrades. Soul Knight with what appears to be an actual story. Haven’t played super long but controls are very responsive and it feels good to play which is rare for games in this style. Will change score if I find any predatory monetization..Version: 1.0.5

Game crashesNew update causes game to crash every time I press objectives icon.Version: 1.0.10

Not sure what the low reviews are about. It’s a fun game that seems like it was built around a freemium model first which makes thins feel a bit weird at times. the gameplay is fun and so is the weapon crafting idea. the enemies as pretty generic and so are the areas..Version: 1.0.5

Great, fun game!Would love to see some expansions and a co-op mode!! Didn’t realise Netflix had games until 2 days ago! Absolutely love the artwork work and sound design!.Version: 1.0.5

Charming and generousEasy to pick up and play. Great personality. Fun upgrade system that adds replay value without introducing annoying free to play walls. This is a great adventure that more people (YOU, reading this!) should play! Free with a Netflix account, just have to log in..Version: 1.0.5

Lots of fun until the terrible endgameThe game was a lot of fun and had a great sense of progression. Completing the daily and main quests gave helpful materials and currency while also feeling like an achievement system. Playing through levels provided materials for building and upgrading weapons, which made it that much more fun to jump into the next level to test out the new/upgraded weapon and gather more materials. This satisfying loop lasted through the available difficulties for the story levels: Normal, Hard, and Rebel 1. Unfortunately, you can only find rare loot when playing through a level on a difficulty on which you haven't beaten it before. Each trait point past 6 (of 10) for each stat (of 6) for each weapon (of 44) requires an increasing amount of rare materials. Rare materials are also required to build new weapons and upgrade the star levels (0-3) of each weapon. These requirements are inordinate when the only renewable source of rare materials is from the finitely stocked shop and once-playable patrol quests. Each is refreshed at random every 12 hours. You can manually refresh both, but only four times every 12 hours: once for free, then for 7, 10, and 20 runes. Each time a rare material is available through one of these methods, it is generally only 1 or 2 per shop/patrol slot. At this point, I have more of both currencies than I can do anything with. The way the endgame is set up makes it so there's no reason to actually play the game unless a patrol happens to have a rare material I need as a reward. I was planning on trying to at least max out one weapon of each slot (primary, secondary, and sidearm). If I was able to actually play the game to get to that point, I would. I have no interest in having a twice-daily chore for the next month or so while I wait for the materials I need to be available. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.Version: 1.0.5

Cool, could be better with controller supportLike I said, would love to play this with my backbone..Version: 1.0.5

Great gameplayFantastic game, have really enjoyed playing it! I’ve hit play through for Rebel 2 difficulty and there is still no way for me to get rare loot to upgrade my guns. It’s only available from the shop while epic loot can be farmed. Can you change this so at a certain difficulty we can farm our rare loot to max our guns? Otherwise the playability drops off at around level 110 or so. Thanks!!!.Version: 1.0.11

Better than expectedGreat game, loving it so far. No ads or timers either. It’s a premium game, you just need a Netflix account..Version: 1.0.5

Rebel3 difficulty please!Seems currently Rebel 2 is the highest difficulty.Version: 1.0.11

Odd Crash + Doesn’t Let Me Back Into GameSo I found out that if you consistently press the upgrade button on a weapon it upgrades the weapon to max level and also crashes your game, since the game doesn’t support iCloud data ( I think ) the only thing you can do is delete and re-install the game, had almost all weapons and it happened to me because I thought nothing would happen and I lost my 3 month progress and I was really upset but the game is literally such a good way to time pass where you’re bored. Literally the best game I’ve ever played!!.Version: 1.0.5

A great game if you have Netflix accountThis game is one of the best free games. It is one of the rare games which does not force you to spend money after playing a couple of hours as micro transaction. I stopped playing mobile games because of micro transactions issues. Every other game asks money in form of extra energy, extra time, extra resources this and that. But in this game it is not the case. Surprisingly, even the market in the game, you can buy everything with in game coins, which anyone can earn with very little grind. The variety of guns and characters are great. On the negative sides, all the maps are recycled again and again, very little variety in enemy types and character progression is a little slow. But all these seems minor issues when you really get into the game because it is so fun. Overall, this game is one of the best games I played in a while..Version: 1.1.5

Super Fun Can’t Wait For Legends!!!Came after playing over 100hrs of the Relic Hunters: Legend closed beta 2. Great to see Jimmy and the gang back together and have them right in my pocket to delve into more dungeons and uncover more relics until the Legends Final release. Only request: MAKE BUI PLAYABLE!!!!!! :).Version: 1.1.5

Great gameHow about Controller support?.Version: 1.0.5

I SAW THIS GAMEOkay let me lay you a scene. You go to Pax conventions almost every year. Most places give out merchandise for their game. You spot a game that looks cool and it’s giving out pins of characters. You look and get the pin of the guy with red hair. And back then he had what looked like a black cape, light blue shirt, super forward red hair and finally he is holding a blue and red gun. You think that’s cool and continue your day Years later in 2022 You are looking through Netflix and find out they have games. While looking through the games you find this and remember. You spend a few minutes searching for the pin and find it on the bottom of one of your drawers and you finally come to right this review. It doesn’t really matter all that much but I think that that’s so cool!!!!!!.Version: 1.0.5

Good gameThe gameplay is great as well as the implementation Little remark there is a issue in the balance: on higher levels (such as rebel 2), I am finding a lot of epic item (purple) bust only one blue (rare) per mission. I think the probability of lot should be grey < green < bleue < purple.Version: 1.0.11

Overall an enjoyable gameI have Netflix anyway, so for me, it doesn’t cost me any more than usual. Once you get past the first battle on each level, there really isn’t any more story you have to read. Really enjoyed playing this. Easy concept, the difficulty gradient was good, lots to collect to either get a new weapon, or upgrade them. There are 3 or 4 difficulty levels to progress through - Which I’ve completed - more please. And if a level os too hard - play some others and come back to it once you have gone up a few ranks. There are a few niggly things that I felt could be changed to make the experience better, like having the ‘bullet’ type on every screen that you have the list of guns on. It’s there when you choose before you start a level, but not when you are upgrading - just makes them easier to identify. Once your characters are maxed out, no point having their upgrade items in the shop - seems a waste of space for other stuff. When I completed the las level on its hardest setting, there wasn’t really anything to let me know that I’d basically completed the game - apart from finishing collecting some more of the guns. But to finish on a positive, its a fun, easy to play game, which you can dip in and out of as time allows. Lots of choices for weapons and tactics, give it a go !.Version: 1.0.5

Good game.I just play the game on iPad and have so much fun. However, one thing that I would like to bring to your attention is the controller issue. When I connected with PS4 Controller, the left stick for moving is working well, however, I noticed that other buttons for firing or something is not working. Hope you can solve the issue and thank you..Version: 1.0.5

Please add controller supportThis is a great game and I really enjoy it. I would appreciate added controller support. Will keep playing.Version: 1.0.5

Breath of fresh air.Only good looter shooter on the App Store since Apple prefers to have free-to-play trash constantly promoted instead of games that allow full access..Version: 1.0.5
