✓ Amazing but…I play this game all the time and I love it but I’m running out of stories and like the other reviews the choices you make don’t really affect the story, still I love that its free and you don’t have to pay for things like clothes.Version: 1.0.21
✓ Can’t wait for library expansionSo I’ve always enjoyed interactive stories like Episode and Choices and the like but kept feeling dismal toward the amount of gems, keys etc that you HAVE to buy in order to actually enjoy things in the story. They say you don’t have to and give you some gems for free but one outfit choice alone is three times the ‘free’ amount so.. Anyway, I’ve been using Apple Arcade for a while now and I love not having to p2p even though the selections haven’t been amazing by any means. Then I saw Episode and just about died. Finally a game I want to play!!! I am already halfway through the library and I’ve slowed down a bit to try and get through the rest. I’d love to see more diverse stories even though I know it’s a bit tricky to transition from the original Episode stories to EpisodeXOXO. Fingers crossed for more!.Version: 1.0.12

✓ Ok, cool!So the fact that apple basically bought you guys is a good thing cause Episodes IS. TO. GOOD!. But the only downfall about this is all Episodes should be on XOXO I have no problem with it being arcade exclusive an it gets a brand new type of eps but I mean to really fill it up where I can just automatically chose any category cause stories have a decent good longevity from the content itself but you’ll beat it at some point and we’ll never know when you guys are gonna drop another episode so if you can implement all the episodes that would be appreciated:) But I also feel like the stories should really be more interactive, choices can affect relationships , future conversations stuff that’ll really hit me to keep playing we need more creativity on your guys end. I feel like if your gonna do stories make them longer an drop them every 2-3 months however your roadmap is looking like 👍 cause it’s got to make sense for me to be intrigued to keeping going I can finish stories within what 1hr at best but still good job to u guys.Version: 1.0.3
✓ Love this game but…I didn’t even know Episode xoxo was apart of apple arcade until I saw it while I was scrolling. I absolutely love that there are no gems on this version and we can pick any of the options. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 is because I wish there were either more stories or all the stories from Episode were available on here. ✓ Wow!I been on the original episode for years. I’m so happy this one came out the first game that’s not money hungry! I can actually read stories without gemed choices you get all the nice outfits which in the original episode if you wanted the super nice clothes you had to pay lots of gems. So I was never able to experience that. This app is honestly so awesome! Even the graphics are better in my opinion. I’m still wondering if there is a catch to this one it’s a little hard to believe that everything is free…so we’ll see. But so far I’m so impressed and so excited for this app!!!! ✓ Addictive and funI loved the free to play game but it cost too much money in the end always demanding gems. This is great that you can play the stories without worrying. A few problems. Sometimes there’s some bugs, and errors with the text but side from that you can overlook it. But this needs to be updated quicker!! There aren’t enough stories. I honestly love the stories that have been added so far and look forward to seeing what you guys do with the game❤️. Everything is great from the story line to the graphics and customization options. I love how you can make plus sized characters and how you have the choice to be lgbtq! The game don’t lag or glitch at all and there are no annoying pop up ads or banners that annoy you while reading so I have nothing to complain about what so ever. However if I could recommend one thing it would be to add the option to where we can make our own stories like in your other Episode apps..Version: 1.0.6

✓ Points…I’m paying for Apple Arcade every month yet episode xoxo isn’t letting me have “points” for the story and it’s just massive plot holes. It’ll say “you don’t have enough points to know what he said.” How does one acquire points and why should I be asking it in the first place? Overall the stories are good but they would be better without the whole “points” thing. Like I’m glad the gems thing isn’t a problem unlike the original episode game but this is basically the same thing..Version: 1.0.10

✓ More story’sI’m set to believe that the app is really good the graphics, the customization, and the stories they have is good, but the personal level playing episodes on the different app has a lot more choices and a lot more stories than this app has. I believe this app should have just as much stories as the other appthat I don’t mind they have limited day span like you should be completed within a week a day or some sort. However, your brother joins the army but you are hanging out with your bro best friend and suddenly you faint and become very ill. He catches you in his arms. And you both start developing feelings for each other, then your brother becomes involved and doesn’t want you even around his friend. What do you think? ✓ Satisfying EntertainmentI think some people are being much too harsh on this game. I love the entertainment it provides and it gives me the same endearing feels as playing the original episode game years ago but much more satisfying. 💜 Being able to play chapter after chapter choosing all the best choices without having to wait unnecessary time or pay was so rewarding. Yes, some of the story aspects can be cringey and there are some grammar mistakes (maybe some bugs that need to be figured out too), but like I said I get so much satisfaction and entertainment out of this app as it is. ✓ The Character Creation Alone Is Worth It!I’ve been a longtime fan of Choices, so when I got a free trial of Apple Arcade with my new phone, I decided to give Episode XOXO a spin. Let me tell you what a pleasure it is to play through stories at my own pace without having to worry about diamonds and keys. The stories are a lot more lightweight than Choices - you’re not going to find anything as intense as Endless Summer or Bloodbound here - but that’s okay, sometimes at the end of a long day, a sweet and low-stress story is exactly what you need. The best part of the app, by far, is the character creation engine! You can completely customize your MC and LI - not just by gender, race and hairstyle, but EVERYTHING - face shape, eye shape, even body type! You can actually be a plus sized MC! HUGE kudos for that! Knocking off a star because I’d like to see a bit more variety in types of stories, but I know they’re still building the library for this app and hopefully that’s coming down the line..Version: 1.0.3

✓ Stories too short with odd endingsI love the idea of this app. It’s a fun addition to Apple Arcade. And I don’t mind a limited selection of stories, but I just want them to feel complete or longer. I wouldn’t even mind waiting for weekly updates to it. I just finished no time for love and it’s what made me need to post this review. It’s such an amazing story I really loved but it ends on a cliff hanger; a really really unsatisfying ending to a lovely story. ✓ Fun but not flawlessI mean, it’s fun. You’re acting out a Choose Your Own Adventure with paper dolls. But y’all, someone needs to pull The Neighbor until it’s cleaned up. The dialogue is full of typos, the pronouns are wrong several times. The characters often do their “reaction” animation twice, the “recap” at the beginning of each chapter is almost half of the previous chapter. I laughed hysterically at the “motorcycle helmets.” Honestly, all of the stories have a typo or two or a disappearing pant leg, but that one is so egregiously unfinished that it drags the whole app down.Version: 1.0.5
✓ Hm?This is a great game, love having Episodes without having to purchase anything, but there are a few issues. I feel there should be more episodes to choose from, maybe even being able to have clear categories. My other issue with this is that character gender is set in the story and most of them are female. ✓ Fun But Not Wonderful!These stories are fun. However, can you please work on the animation. The main character always seems as if she is brushing flies or dust from her. Can you please stop that arm swinging thing that they do? That is so distracting and unpleasant. Why do you do that? Also, the stories and the family situations are completely insincere. ✓ Episode xoxo > EpisodeI personally love this version of Episode so much better. It made me so upset, to the point of quitting on Episode, when they kept asking for gems to make the good decisions. I know a game needs to make money but dang... If you’re going to charge the players, maybe try $1.99/month to play and not $1.99 every piece of clothing they don’t even get to keep? 😂 Also think there should be an update of more episodes. ✓ Very happy and glad to have this app available but….I love that this app was thought of because I be having a hard to completing stories that I love and can’t buy gems for it. It gets frustrating. The only thing I can say that this app needs is a smaller font. The font is just too big and when you change the character appearance you can’t really see what the change looks like until after you press the check mark and go back to the categories. Also, even while reading the dialogue blocks the characters face, everything just seem too zoomed in. Lastly, we need more and more stories. The app would be a complete success if there were a lot more stories for each genre. Having the kind of same, related, similar genre stories won’t give the reader that adventure every time they jump into the next story. ✓ Best game everEven though I just got this game, it’s probably one of my favorite games ever. I love how you get to choose who you want to date, because not all girls date guys. My only suggestion is to have instead of saying “who do you want to date? Guys or girls” in the beginning is instead have what is your sexuality so there’s more options for everybody. You also need more stories because there’s only a few to read. Please make more! ✓ It’s great but…I think Episode XOXO is good probably better than the original but it would be better 100x times better if it had more stories and not just a few selection. Another thing that bothered me was in The Neighbor there’s like a points system but it was never mentioned it just said in the beginning “Chose Wisely” it didn’t really say anything about a points system which was confusing so an example was i didnt have enough points i guess to know what Fern said to Cameron at the diner so i was so confused and because I didn’t have “enough” points I never found out which frustrated me. ✓ Great, but some improvements to be madeI always loved playing episode growing up. This is a an app I have used since being a teenager. It being in the apple arcade makes it so much better because you can make whatever decisions you like without having to use any diamonds. I love that each episode doesn’t require a pass and that you don’t have any ads. You can read a full story until you decide you’re finished. I can say that the only downside that I have experienced is that there isn’t a huge selection of stories that I have seen so far. Up till this day it’s about 20 stories on there. But if you’re a reader and get into the stories as much as I do then the episodes go by so quickly. I’m not sure if the app is fairly new or not. ✓ Royal Bachelor Frozen on Chapter 10I’ve always loved episode, but the only downside was feeling like I had to spend money to progress through the story the way I wanted to. I LOVE that I don’t have to do that with the arcade version. It’s absolutely worth a 5 star review. Update 1/9/23 I replayed through Royal bachelor to hopefully get past the bug with the newest update, and success! However with that, more bugs seemed to come into the story. Side characters were wearing outfits or changing outfits in the middle of scenes, and in chapter 9 our character is wearing the club outfit before we even get to chapter 10. I have a lot of confidence in the developers that they’ll be able to get it fixed, but encourage anyone else to either start on a different story, or wait until the bugs start to level out before playing it..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Love!I loved episode when it first came out , I ended up growing disappointed with it when it began to make you pay to even go through the story to make your own choices making you really only pick the unsatisfying choice. It sucked and I ended up giving up on the game entirely, until I stumbled upon the arcade version. I’ve never been more obsessed and happy with this version of episode.
