Affinity Photo 2 for iPad for Negative User Reviews

GoodHey it is good but when im placing an image it it gets stucked.Version: 2.4

Looked good but !!Looked good on paper but in reality it’s not anything like what it stated,I had high hopes but when I trialled this it wouldn’t open any of my photos despite a hard reset so I couldn’t use it . Yes I looked at the privacy and security settings and it wasn’t there and if I can’t open at this stage it’s not worth it So months after a review they contact me to say they are sorry about the issues but don’t offer a solution or contact me !!!!! Now that’s customer service at its best I pay they ignore.Version: 2.0.4

Overly complicatedA one week trial wasn’t enough time to decide if this software was worthwhile investing in. Shame..Version: 2.4.1

Love the potential but it keeps crashingThe capabilities that this app are amazing. I have bought the full licence because I refuse buy into subscriptions; such a cheesy slimy payment model. The only problem is it crashes all the time. No issues with the desktop but iOS version currently frustrates to no end. I hope it gets as stable as the first version but right now it only deserves 3 stars at best..Version: 2.0.3

So now I have to pay for it again?I bought this app in 2021 and hadn't used it for awhile in iPad. Just got a new iPad Pro and decided to install it again, and it's asking for a license key. I'm like, uhh I thought I just bought it through the app store. Found the original email proving I did, but evidently at some point they decided they want you to register through their app on purchase and since that wasn't the case when I bought it, I apparently need to buy it again on Affinity's new system to actually own the app. So much for their promise of a "one time" purchase, especially on an app with a subpar UI for iPad vs. the desktop version. No thanks. I'll find something else..Version: 2.0.4

Crashes all the timeCan’t use it really… major bug!.Version: 2.0.3

PhotosApp unable to access photos. On checking settings allows access to Siri and that is all. Previous version you could allow access to photos. Very convoluted method to open a photo now. Back to affinity 1.10.5.Version: 2.0.1

Can’t login or access Add-on’s, Affinity says it’s a bug to be fixed! It shows the app is licensed when I look at my account online but freezes when I try to login. My version one works fine. Affinity support said to select “skip” and I would be logged in anyway which It’s not. Affinity Support informed me it is a bug that will be fixed in future updates! Search for this problem in the forums, I’m not the only one. It makes the app unusable for me..Version: 2.0.3

Horrible InterfaceThe interface on this app is just awful. I’ve used several apps, this one came recommended, but trying to use it is just too difficult. And one minor adjustment applied to a photo for color correction made the image so burned out I scrapped the app. I’ve been editing photos for years. I know how these things should work. Oh yeah, and it crashed twice trying to open an image..Version: 2.0.4

Absolute B S Why Isn’t There A Negative Rating in the App Store !!!!!Purchased affinity 2 months ago for $ 30.00AU Now THEY want another $18.00 AU to UPGRADE TO A SUPPORTED VERSION. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS. the one I purchased is extinct Awesome CURSETORMER service.Version: 2.0.3

Nothing makes senseWas looking for a photo editor and this just isn’t it. Way way way to difficult to learn and use. Nothing seems to work for me and I have no idea what I’m doing inside this app. There doesn’t seem to be any help tools or tutorial, that I can find, good luck learning. Only things worth while might be stacking and one of the heal brushes. Other than that really disappointing and not worth the money..Version: 2.0.4

Full of bugs and usability issuesVersion 2 is a confusing mess not only from a usability perspective but also just full of bugs. Too many to list. Things just don’t function as you’d expect especially simple things like layer styles or brushes. Not sure why the developers chose this route but it’s just a mess. There was no reason to blow everything up and start from scratch like this. Shame.Version: 2.3.0

Still lacking basic functionalityOne of my most used features in another well-known photo editing application is to be able to make a simple selection - e.g. a rectangular marquee that sticks to guides, and then simply ‘paste inside’ the selection. Useful, for example, in creating a quick photo grid. I’ve had Photo for years now, bought it all over again, and they still haven’t added this simple, helpful function. The Affinity version of ‘paste inside’ is about a 7 step process instead of 1. It’s usability cludges like this that means this app sits dormant on my iPad..Version: 2.3.0

UX issuesJust bought this for iPad - I’m a Mac OS Affinity Photo user, so thought I’d get this for iPad too. Generally many of controls seem the same but 1) why in earth do you have to go into settings to turn on undo/redo buttons? Surely these should be in by default? And even when switched on they’re very unintuitive. 2) What’s with circular adjustment tools? Sliders are the default in the desktop app and nearly every other app going. Why make it different? Simple things.Version: 2.2.1

Wait a minute…The v1 was not in the store anymore !!!!!!! I mean I paid for it its my problem if i didt’n want to upgrade and used the old version for life !!!! Give me acces to the first version NOW.Version: 2.1.1

Traduction Google: I love new versions of Affinity except I have one major problem. On Photo 2 (Affinity), I can't display the import page which allows you to pick everywhere. No possibility. That's why I put two stars. I can't communicate with the staff. S. U. P. Please let me know how to contact you. I have an iPad Pro 12.5 inch MI, 16 Gig of Ram memory. So, there is no reason to have this very annoying bug. I will give you the well-deserved 5 stars once this bug is solved..Version: 2.0.2

Unbelievably bad UI, unusable help system.Lots of power in this program that I may never be able to make regular use of for two reasons: 1. A crazy-quilt UI! Contextual control sliders scattered all over the screen with second functions you can’t even know until you click on the fader’s first function. A mouse-over with no click should reveal all functions of that control. I should never have to go hunting and pecking to find out. That holds me back every single time I open the app. These scattered giant sliders are not good UI design as there’s no ‘eye memory’. Once a tool is chosen, all controls should display as a unified layout lurking just offscreen with a tab at the edge that shows the whole layout, much like the options for a studio. 2. The help system. The online help in the app cannot be bookmarked, and it is required to fully close it to return to work. Reopening for further help, you find your time-consuming search has been lost. Back and forth you go…. This is just plain nonsense. Sorry so negative, but the fact is, AP has designed a high level of frustration into the UI. It’s really bad..Version: 2.0.4

DisappointingWas looking forward to a seamless transition from Designer to Photo, but this program is highly unintuitive. Tasks that can be completed easily in other programs are two or three steps instead of one. Ill stick with Designer and Photoshop.Version: 2.1.1

How do I even import a photo?Only pushes me to iCloud. This is useless.Version: 2.0.2

Astrophotography stacking?Just purchased and found that it does not include the Astro stacking persona as in the Mac version. The company literature indicates that the iPad version has the same functionality as the Mac version. So, is this to be added in upcoming updates? It is the main reason I purchased and disappointed that it was missing from the app..Version: 2.4.2

Screw your existing customers amirite?“No subscriptions” you proudly claim, yet you’re charging double the price (non discounted) for an update disguised as a brand new app? That seems awfully like a subscription with extra steps..Version: 2.0.1

Powerful but UI is still bad in placesAmazing feature set that absolutely eats Photoshop’s lunch for a fraction of the price, BUT… There are several bizarre UI/UX decisions that make the workflow difficult. In 30 minutes of use I’ve noticed: - important functionality hidden behind hard-to-discover long-press gestures. - baffling use of light grey to indicate when grey buttons on a dark grey background are pressed, which looks the opposite of what it means. - barely perceptible grey-on-grey toggle switches, whose state is impossible to see. - crazily scaled sliders (e.g. for resizing) which are impossible to adjust to any sensible value. - unpredictable canvas resizing results. - no option to set resize values as a percentage of the existing size. - functionality to import photos into an existing document is hard to discover. - the personas concept is idiosyncratic and I think it would be better just to call these personas “workspaces”..Version: 2.0.1

Bug photo temperature touchThere is a bug when importing a photo from library and developing it, once you touch temperature setting app crashes all the time..Version: 2.0.3

ScamI purchased v1 and now it’s no longer available here? Am I supposed to pay again for v2?.Version: 2.0.4

Where is the original version?I paid for the original version of the app but I can no longer download it???.Version: 2.0.4

V3 gonna be paid too?I don’t understand the reason why I should pay twice for same app. Also ,what should I suppose to do , if tomorrow you gonna launch V3?.Version: 2.1.1

Legalised con artistsHaving paid for the original Affinity I now have nothing after it was pullled from the App Store and then they release Affinity Photo 2 expecting me to pay for it again! I won’t be buying anything from this company again and I strongly urge people to do the same. Just Google the Affinity Photo and you’ll see for yourself how they have conned thousands of people and got away with it!.Version: 2.4.1

Functionality is great but poor integration with PhotosI don’t understand that it is not possible to open a photo from the photo library with affinity and save it back. It uses none of the integration capabilities of the os such as the share sheet or extensions. The have to fix this.Version: 2.3.0

Very frustrating!I paid for version 1 I tried signing in for version 2, I don’t have a password because it was not required for version 1. I filled out info giving my email, you said If You find my account you will send me an email. I never got one. I’ve tried 3x, Please reply ASAP. I will email too. I’m a youtuber, on Instagram and many other platforms, if this does not get resolved we will NOT recommend this app to our fans #crazyfunnycats66 #CFC66 🇨🇦 Thanks Ron F.Version: 2.3.1

Crashing on ExportDissapointed with this app I’ve wasted a whole day with it crashing when trying to export. very Frustrating..Version: 2.0.4

I get itSo you are going to charge for each jump in number which is why it’s “2.2” instead of “2.1” or something of that nature. Then your company will probably delete the level 2 apps like you did the level 1 apps. Apple needs to put the kibosh on your dirty practices pronto..Version: 2.2.0

I’m not happy at all!!!I just not that long ago bought the first affinity photo app and now is obsolete with no more updates cause affinity photo 2 is out…. So now I gotta pay again for 2?? There is no free upgrade for paying costumers of the first version?? Only a matter of time before you stop selling full version and only subscription monthly and scalp us more...I’m done with the greed..Version: 2.0.4

CutoutI have tried and tried again to get cutout to actually work. The program will not grab too the edges of a picture I am working with. I am frustrated using the program..Version: 2.3.0

A waste of time and moneyI never created an acct nor was prompted to do so with Affinity Photo 1. I bought it for $30, and now I have to repurchase this stupid app if I want to use it because the first gen not only was replaced but completely removed from the app store. Nice. Inferring LUTs works 1/20 as well. Affinity, just give up. Clearly no one likes your Adobe knock offs.Version: 2.1.1

Rip off Avoid!Barely had v1 of the Affinity app for a year and now “v2” has been released, now I am expected to pay again. What an awful business model. Advice is “You can keep using v1 in its current form but it wont get any updates” lol, so yeah keep using until it stops working because a future IOS update. How about I just take my money elsewhere….Version: 2.0.4

Feels like a Downgrade from V1The new UI gets in the way of iPad OS Stage manager UI elements meaning you can’t access certain tools at all! Spoken to the team about it whom have said they don’t even know what the 3 Dots at the top of the screen are? Leads me to think they are developing this software on outdated OS Software, which means it isn’t cutting edge or smart if so. Honestly quite shocked at the lack of quality control..Version: 2.0.4

No functionality for importing raw images from photos when shooting Raw & JPEGI have worked with this software for over 2 years now and that excited about version 2 that I bought the entire suite of affinity software licences. I am soo very disappointed after an update to version 2 rendered my workflow useless. Previously you could import raw files directly from photos and the software extracted the raw from the combined Raw & JPEG in photos. I have tried to get an answer from affinity staff since earlier this year and was informed they were aware of it but many months later and still no fix..Version: 2.1.1

Text feature still broken after updateThe text tool creates a black background behind any text created, which can not be removed. This has been a known glitch to the developers for years, yet they did nothing about it. The glitch makes the app unusable for me, as I work with texts very often. The app is decent otherwise, but this should have been resolved a long time ago..Version: 2.0.1

It could be betterThe Help and reality are different. No direct import from Photos despite the Help saying it does. I have to copy images from Photos to a Folder in File Browser and open it from there in Affinity..Version: 2.0.2

Importing too hit and missI was a happy customer of Affinity Photo 1, which has become my go-to tool for photo processing. I currently have the free trial of AF2, and it is incredibly hit and miss about whether it allows me to import an image; particularly through Dropbox, but also through the iOS Files system (up to date new iPad). The app is of no use to me if I can't import RAWs, so I won't be purchasing the full version yet. A shame; the original app was so good, this seems like a backward leap..Version: 2.0.4

Lost functionality with upgradeIt is virtually impossible to open an existing image from another application. Whether you’re sharing a file from the Safari browser, or from another app exporting to a PSD file. It shows I can open it in Publisher 2, but not in Photo 2. Which makes no sense. It’s forcing you to go into the application and go to the open section which is taking a lot of time, especially if you save the image to a photo because you have to select that you want a photo before you can even open it. They’ve made this app totally frustrating for compatibility between other applications. Maybe drag and drop works I don’t know I have over 250 applications and so they’re in different folders and it’s not very convenient to do that. I’m posting this review here because I could not find any way to contact support from within the app..Version: 2.0.4

Update on previousFinally got photos to import from Apple Photo. It’s not suited to iPad. The controls don’t work well and are often confusing. Being adept at PS, I’m always open to trying new things. This isn’t for me, but there are others who seem to like it based on reviews. I’ll stick with PS..Version: 2.1.1

Awful UI for iPadI cannot believe this app is so completely unintuitive and unnecessary complicated to use. I just wanted to adjust colors and contrast on a tiff picture and I could not achieve anything, where is the undo? Everything was going « fine » until I hit an option on the right, touched a setting and my picture turned green with no visible way to undo this. I gave up and did my things with Lightroom 3 minutes top..Version: 2.0.4

Free trial non existentThe link to the free trial does not work.Version: 2.0.4

I don’t like the GUI in Affinity Photo 2 for iPadI went to use the erase tool and all I got was vertical scroll boxes? May I suggest adding users the opportunity to use Affinity Photo 1 layout in Affinity Photo 2. However I found the Text tool much easier to use. Not bad but I’m glad, so far, I didn’t pay the money for the Universal license..Version: 2.0.3

Good updateGood update with a lot of new features. Comes with the usual teething problems. Currently experiencing some issues saving which has been a problem that has needed to find a few work arounds. Work in progress..Version: 2.0.1

Is there any options for 0 stars?I bought app and can not login, need it urgent to edit some files. Not able to reset password not able to get email for resetting password. JOKE- 0 stars if they not gonna bring good reason for making my life terrible these days. Hopefully you guys open on Monday so I can reset password, again. JOKE.Version: 2.3.0

Not bad, but not great…Overall it’s a moderately decent knockoff photoshop. Major bonus is no monthly subscription fee. Most of the content you’ll see online is for the v1 iPad app, so it will take some time finding where all necessary tools are. My biggest complaint, above all else… you cannot see the outline of the brush when you’re using a brush or eraser. This makes everything kind of a gamble if you’ll erase too much or too little. That is a VERY basic feature that appears in every other raster or vector editor I’ve ever seen. Without this, workflow is severely hindered. I’ve searched everywhere for a solution, but there isn’t one. They just left it out for some reason. People have been asking for this feature on the forums for over two years, even for the original affinity photo. Why this wouldn’t be added makes zero sense to me. As a result, I find myself having to rely on photoshop and procreate for important projects much more than Affinity Photo..Version: 2.1

To Different from Photoshop, fails to exportIf you use photoshop the user interface on this app is totally confusing. I can’t get anything done with this application without investing too much time. Having said that, Photoshop for the iPad is a complete insult and abomination. I tried to export an affinity 2 file on the iPad in Photoshop and jpg formats and the files don’t get saved. Lots of settings, but there is no SAVE button, just an OK button but nothing gets saved. If I try sharing then it has no permissions. Thats is probably apple’s ridiculous file system..Version: 2.0.4

Version 1 i pid is gone from my device and app store. Lost money on 1Cheating done by releasing 2 and cimpletely wiping version 1 that i paid for and no longer has access to download. I will not buy this version coz they will launch 3 and delete the paid version. They force you to lose money coz yo cannot download the version you paid for..Version: 2.0.4

2.0.4 Improvements on the surface, More problems below the curtainsEven after the 2.0.4 update, the app still does not recognize automatic lens profile for my tamron 24-70 f2.8 from the develop module. Non destructive raw which is the most enticing feature crashes a lot, and i wish to return to work on the file the app stops working. When i compare working on both versions, the 1st version does not crash compared to the 2nd version. Filters on the 2nd version sometimes are reset for a reason i m still trying to figure. I cancelled all of the apple pencil shortcut for that. Panorama stitching work less on the 2nd version than on the 1sr as if the latter is smarter. The 2nd version also crashes more often when working on hdr and when wishing to return to develop module. I really wish these problems would be fixed soon because i really love this app and the changes are welcomed in my opinion. However, with that much of crashes and bugs, this version is unproductive.Version: 2.0.4

HopelessThis app was purchased and downloaded and did not give me the opportunity to register an account needed for activation. An hour with the apple tech guy helping and he could not help either. I have wasted hours with this!.Version: 2.2.0

Faulty UpgradeNormally when I upgrade an app the new version replaces the old version whilst importing or making available all my old projects to the new version. Not so with Affinity. Now I have two versions on my iPad sucking up space, and it isn’t clear how I get all of my old projects into the new version so I can delete the old version. I do not want two versions. It’s inefficient. If there isn’t a simple fix forthcoming I will be asking for a refund and just sticking to the old version..Version: 2.0.3

So sick of misdirection and owning nothingThe entire enticement of the first version was a one time payment. At this point, we need laws preventing companies from using legal jargon and 2 hours worth of reading/researching ToS agreements for everything on our lives, so they’re legally able to take advantage of customers. It’s physically impossible to do that when you’re living your own life with other responsibilities. You may as well go ahead and subscribe to a more advanced option like Photoshop, or use something free, like Gimp/Apple editors. How long until we don’t outright own anything we’ve already paid for? You don’t own the first version because it’s removed. Blizzard did the same with Overreach..Version: 2.1

Version 1 much better UI than version 2I regret buying version 2, and hate the UI, so I only use version 1, and my version 2 files had to be exported in Adobe format because v1 cant open v2 files, or copy and paste from one app to the other. V2 maybe has some useful features over V1, but cant stand the UI make. Next time Affinity redesign a UI try talking with real users, that use the product for hours, not simply users doing a quick fix on a photo..Version: 2.2.0

I retract my last reviewUnusable. No palm rejection, Pencil constantly switches idk why, constantly repicking the layer I’m working on. I know u can turn that off, I’m just so tired of looking up where they hid everything, I’ll just go use another app. I got the hole licence, waist of money. It’s like they built a Ferrari and then through a 40c engine in it..Version: 2.0.3

TerribleAwful update, the app is so slow, struggles to load any of my photos. I usually end up with a black sceeen or a pixelated photo. The couple times I was able to try editing, everything froze up and it had a terrible lag time. Just stick with the original. All I did was the trial and that was a waste of my time..Version: 2.0.4

UI changedI am not sure when the UI changed happened, it is a welcoming one. This is in reference to the location of options of the tool. Thank you. I purchase the V2 first day but somehow the UI just doesn’t work for me, this time around I think I can use it well! Good job.Version: 2.1.1

Looks good butJust downloaded and it looks good. Bit of a learning curve ahead. But - I clicked the Free Trial button and Apple instantly charged me full price. Is that normal? It’s probably an Apple problem, not a you problem but it’s a bit disconcerting. I hope I like it..Version: 2.3.1

Apple App Store Purchase But App Does Not See itI had just checked out the trial version of this on my iPad, looks great, lots of different options, and though I would purchase it. Bought it on the Apple App Store, created an account through the website, shows my purchase there, but when I sign into the account on the app and use the same info, and hit the continue button, it doesn’t go to the next screen. How do I connect the info from the website that shows the purchase to the app? Please advise..Version: 2.0.4

Big fan of Affinity - BUTInitially happy with it but has now started regularly shutting down while doing banal things like feathering. It’s become unusable as it’s debatable how much of the work I’ve done will have been saved when it suddenly disappears. I’m on a 2021 iPad Pro so the hardware should be there. I’ve restarted the tablet and shut everything down apart from Affinity it still crashes. Intend to go back the original for now.Version: 2.0.3

Standard reply to commentsIs unbelievable for a company that supposedly cares about their to sent out a standard reply!.Version: 2.0.4

Most annoying EyedropperThis is the painting app with one of the most unresponsive and clunky eyedropper that makes color picking a nightmare. Suggestion: Allow users to set a shortcut modifier like alt to temporarily use eyedropper while the button is pressed. Otherwise you have to really improve the speed of the eyedropper gesture. Long tap is just too slow, and often times it draws on the canvas instead of color picking, even if "touch for gestures only" is turned on. Everything else is great but as digital painter this slow eyedropper is the biggest bottleneck in my work speed..Version: 2.0.4

Tanking ratings hard because it crashes A LOT.Serif are tanking this app store rating hard, 2.8 out of 5! …and thats WITH the 40% off. I doubt very much that ADDING 40% back will help at all when this offer ends. Not at all as stable as the V1 product, No upgrade path for V1 owners. I love the V1 but this version is a complete money grab for a tiny bump in features..Version: 2.0.3

Affinity 1 broken afte iPad os17 update!Since the original affinity photo for iPad is no longer in the App Store I figured I’d leave this message here. Since the update, all brushes are broken, brush strokes are a bunch of boxy jagged lines. When editing, all the former brush strokes are popping up all over the photo. It’s very distracting! I’m not sure if there will ever be a fix for this product that we paid for but a warning to everyone else, don’t update to iPad OS17!.Version: 2.2.0

Still can’t find a way to edit from PhotosThere are some really powerful tools here, but as a normal iPad user it’s not very useful. It still doesn’t seem to be set up so that you can use it directly with Apple Photos for editing photos. So it seems you need to import from photos, edit the photo and then reimport it, then remove the duplicate you’ve just created..Version: 2.0.1

Potential but needs many improvementsBesides the periodic crashing, I was amazed to see that a completed unflattened work, was populated with extra layers! One adjustment I didn’t access and another, a duplicate. Weird..Version: 2.0.3

Affinity one was were betterIn terms of UI performance and many other things this version is a downgrade imo. Something bad is happening inside the company I think as scop of this product is kinda bad. Interesting to see but it happened with many good apps. Waiting for a change..Version: 2.0.4

I Really Wanted This to WorkI own the original Affinity photo for iPad. I loved the program until it recently started crashing when using the clone tool. I would spend a lot of time cloning out blank borders, created from a panorama, only to have the program crash about two dozen times before I was able to save my work. I am using an iPad Pro 12.9 sixth generation. Today I began the trial for version two of Affinity photo for iPad. It crashes the same way that version one does. Before I’m able to save my work, the program crashes, and all of the work, including hours worth are lost. I should not lose the ability to use version 1 for iPad, but I was willing to pay again, if version 2 would work. Sadly, it does not, so I may not continue the seven day trial..Version: 2.3.1

$$$$$$You took my money …..the app is not working well…..impossible to have my money back……dont buy this ……..Version: 2.2.1

BuggyVery first experience trying to download a sample was “Samples - an unknown error occurred downloading the sample!” Tried again, same. If your app is still in beta then you should say so. Have I wasted £10?.Version: 2.0.1

HmmmHmmm. Bit buggy…. Bit crashy ! Shame because I love Affinity. I live on the ocean, where there is no internet connection, so having a stand alone app like this is perfect. The Adobe stuff just doesn’t work for me. Hopefully they’ll sort out the bugs soon. Until then I’ll just continue using version one. BTW it would be great if Affinity would create a decent stand alone photo organiser. Something like the old aperture app. Anything would be better than the dreadful Apple photos app !!!.Version: 2.0.3

Kinda half bakedIt has some nasty bugs: - If you import a picture from Photos, whether you save the project or not, if you exit the app and re-enter, the the project loses connection to the picture and there is no way to relocate the picture from inside the project. Additionally if you try to access the Develop persona while in this circumstances, instead of simply telling you that the action cannot be performed due to missing resource, it simply crashes. - If you add an adjustment layer, unless you first select a pixel layer, it does not allow you to re-add that same adjustment layer a second time. Inefficient - In the export page it begins generating the export as soon as you tap on any button even just to view the available options. It is an awful waste of system resources. Plus other stuff I don’t recall now. I would expect better quality and features from a company opened in 1987. But still better than most similar apps on the platform..Version: 2.3.1

I can’t even log into my serif accountI have purchased the upgraded affinity photo 2 today, having been a happy customer of serif products for many years , and already owning photo v.1 . Sadly it won’t even let me log into my existing serif account ( the continue button does nothing ). This isn’t an ideal start to my experience of the promised all bells and whistles v2 and I Hope serif will see my comment and fix this bug. Given it’s the first thing I’ve tried since purchase and it doesn’t work that’s currently a 💯 percent fail ! I shall upgrade my review if serif get in touch and fix this. Otherwise I’m going to request a refund ! V 1 works perfectly for my needs ( including enabling me to log into my account ! ) Thanks.Version: 2.0.3

Seriously ? Cant open a damm photoHow the hell am I suppose to open images from my iPad photos app. There is literally no option ? It only shows me icloud and other apps that support documents but not the basic Photos app ? Have you guys even tested this app for basic functionality?.Version: 2.0.3

DepressingThe fact you have to pay to get the new app for a simple ui rebrand and some little small features that aren’t worth repurchasing is a big dis-attraction. I got to pay again for the app? What if affinity photo for iPad 3 comes out? Am I going to have to pay for it again? This is basically a update but for some reason it’s shown as a entirely new app that you have to repurchase… and I had to go into downloads to redownload the old versions so I could actually use what I payed for since it won’t show up on the App Store anymore… if this isn’t a update and its a new app why isn’t the old version still up? And if its not some big new version that throws away the old one why must I pay for it again? Please fix this.Version: 2.0.4

DifficultJust beginning to get the Hang of Affinity Photo for the Mac. The iPad version seems totally inscrutable..Version: 2.4

I bought affinity 1 - you stopped that working and want more money for v2 - rip offI have and still happy to us affinity paint v1. I don’t want v2. I owned version 1.. but you’ve stopped it working. It’s like , you stole it from me.. Disgusting..Version: 2.4

400 DPI Max??? Brush lags/jitters? Interface is weird!V1 was better. Who’s stupid idea was it to limit users to a max of 400 DPI when creating a file? I get the brushes lag in v2 for some reason, but that’s no excuse. Artists/Designers often need to use much higher DPI. There is an obvious workaround, of setting the pixels to Unit x DPI in the width and height fields; yet, this causes issues during export, especially for print. Also the interface choices are strange. EG1: Using icon sets that are unfamiliar to most users makes it difficult for the user to navigate initially. EG2: layer merging, duplicating and some editing options aren’t on the layers panel where they should obviously be. You need a better UI/UX designer, and the bugs make it almost unusable right now. Too bad, as I was initially looking forward to upgrading..Version: 2.0.4

Update on my previous reviewAfter my last review, Affinity reached out to me and asked me to contact their support team. I provided five videos documenting my problems. Affinity’s team suggested, dispassionately, that I make two settings adjustments and otherwise not touch the glass at all with my hand. I did those things. For a day, everything seemed a little better, but now it’s worse than ever. I’ve been working for a couple of days, and Affinity Photo is littering my canvas with garbage marks I can’t be the culprit of causing because my gloved hand is not touching the glass. I am utterly disappointed with this software. It cost me $100 for the year and I have not been able to generate a single finished image with this ridiculously buggy software. I am over it..Version: 2.1

RubbishALL the buttons either don’t work or do something else. No working back button, no save at all. What a waste of time..Version: 2.4.1

Circular tools not slidersEvery photo editing tool I’ve ever used as had slidersTo adjust colours, contrast, et cetera Affinity photo 2 has chosen to have difficult to have circular tools instead. Oh well.Version: 2.3.0

1st Picture In AppStore Is A Dude lol Don’t Be FooledThat is what this app is trying to do. Pull the wool over your eyes. They claim with the 1st and promised to be only Affinity Photo that they were not like PhotoShop and they weren’t going to be subscription based software. Now here we are with their trans AffinityPhoto2 and there not even going to offer support for Affinty Photo anymore. Hence the reason it was taken down from the App Store. All our money in the trash becuase we belived in this company that was selling a almost better than PhotoShop App for $15 and sometimes $10 I think. Now you want me to buy another app with a guy posing as a girl with a wig over his face to hide that he is a dude and fall for the trap again? No way..Version: 2.0.4
