Emailing backups.My wife and I use the app to keep track of our balances. I keep the master copy and email her the backup copy so she can have the correct account information. But lately when she gets the email with the backup the app does not overwrite the old information. If wife disables Face ID and passcode before restoring via email, the update works. But if Face ID and passcode enabled the restoring via email does not work. Also, when I try to send a backup, the app sometimes does not open an email so I can send a backup. I have tried restarting my device, closing the app and reinstalling the app. I am using the latest version of the app and iOS 16.0.3 I cannot access the support forum via your Facebook page. The link on your support page does not go to your Facebook page..Version: 3.0

Accounts 3 upgradeUpgraded ( and paid) for accounts3 but now Ace budget 3 will only share with Accounts 2. How can I fix?.Version: 3.0

How do we contact the developer?Been using this years but have some questions. The developer support page on Facebook doesn’t seem to exist anymore and the website directs you there. So what do we do if we have issues?.Version: 3.7

Unable to share with spouseThe only app I have found that I really like and works for what we need. However, my spouse has a different iCloud and Apple ID than I do. I tried sharing this ap so that we both can make entries in our checkbook. Turns out we cannot share it. We tried the “Family share” option and it does not work. I tried sharing my ICloud and it will show my ap, but it won’t download (share) any of the database information for the app that I had created. I even tried sharing it directly from my app. I am open to suggestions as to how to resolve this issue so that we both can make entries and view the same data information. Otherwise, this App was not only a waste of money, but a HUGE waste of our time too..Version: 3.9

Warning: Family share does not mean family syncSince it advertised family share, and it said it would sync between devices, I expected to be able for my wife and I to be able to manage our bank accounts together. But no can do, we have to be on the same iCloud account in order to sync. If my wife and I were on the same iCloud account, we would be getting each others iMessages and phone calls. The developer should make clear in the description that this is only good for one person to manage their bank accounts, not for husband and wife to do so. I love the app otherwise. But I won’t be able to use it if we can’t truly family share as it was advertised. I want my $4.99 back. Can’t give this a very good rating due to false advertising. The developer did not address what I wrote in my review. So I updated my review and lowered my score to one star. Be warned: Family Share does not mean family sync, making the family share feature worthless to me..Version: 3.0

Good, could be betterThis is a great app, I’ve bought it a few months ago and overall I’m pleased with how everything is organized, but if this couple important features would be added, this could be a really great app. It really needs to have the following: (1) when you create a new payment entry, you should be able to click on the Memo within the entry, and see it entirely in a big window if it’s a long note - this is something that bothers me a lot because many of my Memos are longer than you can see on that little window and there’s no way you can see a Memo in it’s entirety and read it from beginning to end; very difficult to edit, too; you need to slide the cursor left/right in that little box to be able to read/edit it; (2) the payment entries should be split by months and be able to collapse or expand them, this way you can skip time periods when you search a past entry, otherwise you have to keep scrolling over hundreds of entries to reach a few years back; I’ll have to take the time to save all of my entries from 2017 up to now because the app I’ve used before has been abandoned and I need to have all the history on this app, so that’s quite a few years to scroll over hundreds of entries….and it’s only getting bigger as years pass. Plz make these happen and this’ll be a 5***** app..Version: 3.9

Message to developerI could not find how to reach out. I do love the new option to switch an entry to a different account. Major upgrade from Accounts2. Accounts to so had a feature that I missed terribly. When you would enter a value, if you had to switch screens or be interrupted for a minute, you would come back and the value was where you had left off. All the data was still in. I will update my review and give it to five stars as soon as I hear back from the developer. Otherwise, I have recommended this app to countless people. Another feature that would be amazing. Would be to be able to share it on family. And have the data sync. That would be an upgrade I would gladly pay for..Version: 3.5

Data still not syncing via iCloudI upgraded to this version because it promised syncing between devices which was something I had wanted in version 2. It worked for a while (I sync via iCloud), but hasn’t worked for something close to a year now - it tries to catch up but there are months worth of entries not on one device. If I can’t count on the feature to just work and 100% trust that it’s working properly, then it may as well not exist in an app like this where data fidelity is critical. If they could fix this one thing, it’d be a 5 star rating but at this point I paid for it for no reason. Their FAQ gives just basic directions, which I had already followed and which worked for a few months before it got out of sync, and then there’s a link to their Facebook support page which seems to no longer be there. Not a good sign..Version: 3.8

Few upgradesI don’t know what happened to the latest update but when entering a transaction and switching back and forth screens causes me to lose the previous transaction trying to enter. It’s also starting to freeze up and not respond. Have deleted and reinstalled and still same issue. Not phone only the app. I would love to see an option to move the recurring section of bills in a dated order chronologically or for it to automatically in order like the checking. I’ve been using this app for many years and now all my family members also use it for budget reasons and etc. Maybe an option to HIDE accts instead of having to delete to keep the main acct face clean. When it’s paid off and not being used it tends to clutter up the main face. I realize you are probably limited as to what you can do but I would even be willing to pay for an upgraded version to have multiple features. Thanks Cindy.Version: 3.6

Wish it would separate accounts into categoriesI used to have “Piggy Bank” & absolutely LOVED it, but the developer died & couldn’t update it so it just died, so I needed a new checkbook, although I like this one and that it autosubstracts/autoadds each entry and lists in descending order by date, I really wish I could separate accounts and show its sum total. For example, all retirement funds would be under “Retirement” w a total; all kids savings accounts would be under “Kids Funs” with sum total; all savings/ money market accounts would be under “Saving” with sum total for those accounts. It’s good to have them all totaled at the bottom but not helpful at a granular level so I use another “Checkbook” for the granularity to divide accounts into groupings….Version: 3.4

So far goodUpdate - we went on a 7 day trip and when we got back I noticed only two transactions out of the dozen or so transactions had synced to my two other devices ( iPad & iPhone XS), Why? Both devices were turned on. I have used Accounting II for a few years but did not like that it was not syncing automatically with my other devices. Hoping this does sync automatically without any input. Transfer was a bit scary, I temporarily lost all of my years of transactions data, when tried a second transfer it showed up, that calmed my nerves. I did check my iPad and other iPhone, both have Acct III and nothing is showing, they are set to sync. I tried downloading data but git a message stating Acct III data could be found. How long does it take for devices sync ? Update… still waiting for my devices to sync, all three have Acct III and the app is open and running on them..Version: 3.9

New update wrecked my checking accountAfter the last update my checking account went $178 less than what my bank showed. It was perfect before the update. I know this is correct since I use a different program on my MacBook and it balances with my bank. I went through all my transactions and there were no discrepancies between this app and my bank. But, the app was showing less $$ than my bank. I went to download my accounts from the cloud and it said the last database was from 10/13. I was going to reenter all the entries from then back into the app. It was perfect then. Well, it wiped out all my data and did NOT enter the database. I would have to start from scratch. I am not doing this. Deleting the app. I loved this app and was using it for over 3 or more years..Version: 3.4

Unable can you set up and save reoccurring transactions.Although the product does make an effort at replacing check register, it is a bit clunky. The biggest problem I have, is that no matter how hard I try I cannot get it to set up a reoccurring transaction. Every time I finish setting everything up, I notification window comes on to tell me I need to pick an account. I have only one account, I choose the icon for that account as part of the transaction put the deposit is going into, and I continue to get the window — "please pick an account" or something to that effect. It is definitely not as easy to use as the application I had for my iMac that was called Checkbook Pro. It would be nice if developers making apps for smart phones and pad devices could make the interfaces similar to the applications used on full size computers..Version: 3.7

Emailing Transactions Not WorkingMy wife and I upgraded from 2 to 3 yesterday. In 2 we stayed in sync by emailing transactions to each other and saving. With 3 we followed the instructions for emailing in help/support. The app sends the email with the transaction and the link to post the transaction. When you touch the “post transaction” link it opens up the accounts 3 app but does not show the transaction so no save option. There should be a way of asking a question or requesting help without it being disguised as a review. The Facebook link on your help/support page does not work. 3 stars because 2 worked perfectly and I hope 3 can be fixed..Version: 3.4

Incorrect transactionsI sent for app support Monday. Got no answer. I have been using accounts 2 for a few years. I am very happy with it. I updated to accounts 3 mainly to encourage the programmers. I entered a transaction transfer from savings to chequing. I discovered that that transaction was actually recorded as a split expense for a totally different amount. I also discovered a transfer made incorrectly like another transfer made from checking to savings recorded as a transfer from savings to checking, but the amount was the same. Fortunately I was able to recover my accounts 2. I hope to be able to use a corrected app soon..Version: 3.7

Love app but hope they add a couple thingsI love that you added a transfer feature to make it a one step to input vs old platform. I would love if the check numbering would stay with accounts attached to.. I have 2 checking accounts and whatever the last account I write a check for it applies numbering to all checking accounts. So I have to constantly input a check number. Would be nice if it remembers numbering per account. Your email response makes no sense on this. Me having to type each number is what is a pain. So I know I can edit and type the right check number.. I have checked everywhere to see if it will retain check numbers for each account and it doesnt…..Version: 3.5

Accounts 3 - No Additional FunctionalityI have used Accounts & Accounts 2 for many years and given them both 5 star reviews. Accounts 3 however gets 2 stars because there is no additional functionality. I have effectively paid for 2D icons. Whoopydoo ! This was the perfect chance to add a denomination selection to the Account creation screen and enable the user to create accounts in £, €, $ or ¥, to effectively monitor travel spend. Relatively simple and very useful. Accounts 3 is simply Accounts 2 with a cosmetic makeover so save your money and stick with Accounts 2 which is a five star app..Version: 2.4

App stopped working & there is No technical support!I’ve written multiple reviews over the past week trying to get the developers attention that I need technical support help. I see they have responded to other inquiries yet here I am still can’t get any help & it’s been over a week!! I can’t find any other technical support avenues outside of this review area. The app stopped working over a week ago. I find all the files on my phone but the app shuts down & doesn’t load. I’ve been using accounts 2 & 3 for 10 years & I’ve never had any issues until now. I can’t access any of my financial information & I’m completely lost not to mention all the current & history I can’t access now. I really wish the developer of this app would respond and make an effort to help me out but since they haven’t, I’m finding a different way to start over..Version: 3.5

Needs font size improvement ASAP!The app works 100%, my only complaint is the font sizes, you can’t adjust them and there very very small, especially the totals under the amount entered, extremely hard to see. I would hope this gets an update quickly. Other than that, it works 100%. Also, I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max so it’s not like I have a small screen or anything like that..Version: 3.7
