✓ Great game too many bugsI am a complete beginner and can’t get any progress because the game keeps crashing. Also you can’t delete buildings that were built more than a turn ago. They say you can move already made building but you can’t. If all of these problems were nonexistent, I would rate this a solid 4. Netflix, please make test phones to test all of these issues. ✓ Well, I triedI suppose it’s an okay game. Got to the point where you start finding animals, but something buggy happened. And since it told me it would save my game automatically, I was like cool, I can just exit to the main screen and reload. Tell me why when I reloaded, I can’t even see my next task of 0/3 animals, not can I even see past “level 1” buildings? I already found the frog, now I have to go search for it again?! I thought it automatically saved? If it saved, it would put me back where I was, not at the beginning with only 1/3 of my buildings available. 😒.Version: 0.4
✓ Clever and fun, but has a lot of bugsThis is quite possibly the most innovative game I have played. I absolutely loved the gameplay and the increasing levels of difficulty with each biome as the game progressed. That being said, flaws in the game coding made gameplay quite frustrating at times. In the final level, when I was collecting seeds, the satellite interface would randomly exit, dumping me back into the main screen and exiting the biome I was collecting from. The location of the interface buttons also have entirely too much overlap, meaning that sometimes I was unable to scroll because the directional arrows were directly underneath the main game menu. The in-game help was also less than useful at times, requiring me to exit the game and do an internet search to solve my problems. Honestly, if they took the time to fix the GUI, in-game guide, and coding issues, this game would deserve 5 stars. Pros: — innovative — engaging — challenging — extremely fun Cons: — badly designed GUI with too much overlap of clipping paths — poorly coded interface — errors made gameplay extremely frustrating at times — needs an update to address coding errors.Version: 0.4
✓ Good premise and fun - but only skin deepThis relaxing and fun sim game appears to be the opposite of Simcity. It makes you think without being too challenging, and not a huge time commitment - I finished the initial world in a day. My main complaint is that the game’s structure is simplistic. With a few exceptions, buildings have an effect only when placed and are basically monuments until they are recycled as you leave. Second complaint is bizarre technology choices. You don’t get power transmission lines & poles until area 3 I think. You get a waterborne recycling drone, why not one that travels on land? Why not drone bulldozers (realistic tech) instead of weird futuristic “excavators” that basically are huge guns firing giant bullets to dig trenches for water, lava, etc. (nonsense). Why no solar power generators? I enjoyed it for a day, and now I’m done with it..Version: 0.4

✓ Great but has deep flawsNot at all a fan of having to have a Netflix account to play — It simply feels disingenuous and I personally do consider it a form of micro-transaction (I would happily pay for the game to play without a Netflix account). I don’t play mobile games at home connected to my wifi so I have to assume that Netflix will charge the account extra now that there’s no password sharing… Some levels can be randomly impossible to finish, for example, the island which often does not provide enough cliffs for shade-cloths which can’t be moved, and there is no regrowth or way to generate cliffs. A disappointing waste of an hour… Was expecting MacOS support around launch but I haven’t heard anything other than PC and iOS support. Given that I can play any other iOS game on an M1/M2 Mac, it seems suspicious that I can’t see Terra Nil in my App Store downloads list… The concept around terraforming is great but it feels weirdly misaligned with Netflix as a company. It feels like Netflix is trying to associate their brand with a ‘green’ game but, if this is the case, it’s not subtle… Overall, great work by the development teams, but everything about the game feels marred by what feels like cunning ‘corporateering’ (in my opinion). I’m impressed Netflix was able to publish a game of this quality but everything makes me feel like they might think that their users are stupid… I’m left thinking “Cool but why does this game exist?”. Everything here is a reflection of my own opinion/experience, and I sincerely believe this is a fair review of the game: 3.5 stars.Version: 0.3
✓ Bugs need fixingThis would be a lovely game if the bugs were fixed, although I couldn’t find anywhere to report them, I’ve gone around in circles from the App Store and Netflix. There’s a white horizontal line across the top third of the screen on a fully updated iPad, it goes under the map and is visible through water. More annoyingly, if you run out of money, and it says you need to recycle 5 buildings, there is no way to do this. I have tried slow presses, quick presses, singular, or multiple, but nothing works. ✓ Love the potentialI am addicted to strategic games like this. I love that it’s complicated and gets me thinking. I love the eco saving narrative. I don’t love that it glitches every once in a while and ruins hours of progress. Currently redoing the first level to get 100% and its glitched so the book wont close. I click the X, the X indents to show I’m clicking it, nothing happens. I try to move a highlighted and within range building to move via monorail and it wont register. I try to recycle the monorail to complete the game the icon is stuck in the corner and wont select. I also understand that tutorials have to end but when you’re stuck you should be able to have a tutorial up to where you are to explain why it’s not working for you. Also don’t love that the generated level sometimes wont fill its own requirements and give you enough cliff side or rocks to spread out across the map and complete the objectives. There’s no in game option to reach out for help from the developers, you have to go through the netflix app separately and hope your game doesn’t crash and lose your progress. I could just be blind and half asleep but while sick in bed I started this journey and it’s been one issue after another. I love the concept of this game and really hope theres a patch update soon before my ADD brain loses momentum and I forget about the app altogether..Version: 0.3

✓ Glitchy and unplayableUnfortunately whilst this game has a lot of potential, it’s too glitchy and often crashes or just doesn’t open - to the point it’s unplayable. There’s no way to report bugs, and the developers aren’t responsive on social media..Version: 0.3
✓ Decent but bugged?An enjoyable and relaxing experience, hours will quickly pass by creating the optimal restoration for any given region. Each biome presents their own unique challenges and solutions and while it may require a retry or two to figure out the best strategy when you start a region, it is not so unforgiving as to be frustrating. One (huge) frustration is the City Wasteland region where as best I can tell, unless you need to benefit from the most perfect RNG when the map is randomly generated at the beginning, you are unlikely to meet the ‘sunflowers’ requirement to complete this biome. Presently the best I can achieve is 82% of 100% required, with only 3 places to put the required building to create sunflowers. This appears to be a well-documented (unresolved?) bug on the Steam Store forums also. For now I’ve put the game down, but will be keeping an eye out in case the game gets updated in the future. Nonetheless, it was very relaxing and enjoyable for the first 3 biomes and 8-10 hours I played it so far. As it’s include in my Netflix Subscription, its been a nice low cost experience. I have not experienced the same crashing issues as others, but it *is* very hungry on the battery power..Version: 0.4

✓ Looses functionality after 1st levelI really enjoyed the first restoration level, very relaxing and satisfying. However, on the second level (tropical biome) one of the habitat restoration features simply doesn’t work at all, so I can restore 3 of the 4 habitats, max. Coral reef restoration requires you build a monorail, with a feature that is supposed to unlock after you deploy the monorail feature once. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I added a monorail, the locked feature still always said I had to deploy the monorail feature (1) more time before I could continue. Even after I erased my progress and started over. Stopped my gameplay in its tracks and I can’t advance. I’m playing on my iPhone, perhaps this isn’t an issue on a PC..Version: 0.4
