✓ Bad RedesignThis was one of my favorite games, and I played it all the way through a least once a year. Then came iOS 11, which broke the game. Dang it! I was happy to see a new version - until I began to play it. It is so obnoxious! Besides the annoying flashing bright strobe at the exit square, there are loud sounds which continue to play even after I turn off all the sound. And the animation leading into each level is just way too much. Please tone this down so it’s more like the old Boxed In 2 and 3 - and then please update 2 and 3..Version: 2.1

✓ Ruined by poor controlsAn ok-ish puzzle game in the Sokoban mould. Presentation is spartan: little animation, no variation in tile sets, no sound. The levels don't really become interesting until halfway through the game; before then they are too easy. What really lets the game down are tge controls. Moving the robot around is very slow and frustrating. It really needs to move the robot automatically where you tap, like Naboko. Worth the price, but would only be worth paying for if the control mechanism is greatly improved..Version: 0
✓ Stuck on level 24 of pack 2The game has been slow to close a level for a few days, but today it will not close this level and is completely locked. The only way to close the game is to abort the app. That has been effective for the last few levels but now it simply opens with the same level complete. ✓ Fun for a while but buggyI enjoyed the game until I got to Pack 1, Level 30. At that point after successfully solving the puzzle the game locks up. Unfortunately i am then stopped from going to the next level, thus permanently killing the game. Since the game has not been updated for more than a year, I expect it is a dead issue..Version: 4.6
✓ Great Game RUINEDI bought this game several years ago and loved it. The graphics were simple, but attractive, and the gameplay was fun. On a whim, I decided to play it again after a very long time. The new graphics are ANNOYING. It’s a basic puzzle game; 3D graphics are unnecessary. The flashing lights and moving backgrounds are incredibly distracting. Also, the dragging around of the character is not at all smooth. You can’t see it under your thumb as you move it, and it seems to easily move further than intended. My memory from before was that you could do a single tap on the spot you want it to move to. Much easier and simpler. Annoying!!!.Version: 4.75

✓ Horrible Ad-WareI’ve had this app ever since it was a $0.99 app. In fact, still have BI2 and BI3 on my 32-bit iPad 4. When this one was the only one updated, I didn’t think much about it other than I could now run it on my 64-bit iPhone. The most recent updates have introduced nasty ad-ware that masks itself as some Indian girl trying to call through some Gaga chat app that wants to be installed. Whoa! In coming here to complain, I now see the app is free. Well, I paid for this app. I don’t want ad-ware, especially this kind of crap. If Dennis Mengelt is still the author then it’s sad you’ve bought into this business model. If your company got sold to some job shop that just hijacks games with ad-ware then that’s too bad too. Either way, get rid of this crap now, or the app goes into the trash!.Version: 4.6

✓ Challenging but cannot replayI enjoyed the game -- just challenging enough to hold my interest. However, once one finishes level 50, the "congratulations" screen does not let one return to play. ✓ Appalling updateLoved this game for its simple clear graphics and the clever strategy levels. Even though no new levels seemed to be forthcoming I still kept the game on my phone, resetting levels to play again. I received a shock when I opened the game to pass the time while waiting for my plane. Jarring, blaring racket deafened me and my fellow passengers. Overdone graphics, horrible sound effects have reduced this once once elegant game to a travesty. There are no settings to switch off sound. And the new graphics are horrible and unnecessary for the game. Wish I had been given an option to upgrade the game. As it is, I immediately deleted this off my phone..Version: 2.2

✓ Absolutely HORRIBLE after 3D redesignHad the original Boxed In and Boxed In 2. They were 5 star games functional, clever, ... Why in the world would anyone redesign it into this continuously animated 3D space nonense? I have no idea. Swipe controls don’t function properly or accurately as in the past. Animation is not necessary. Dancing robot is stupid. Music is horrid. Worst game redesign EVER. Developer, if you care about your players, rename this to Boxed In 3D and bring back Boxed In v1 and v2..Version: 2.2

✓ Boxed inWhy, my ipad’s screen broke today. No problem it was my mini I have a new ipad pro and an iphone 7s but what i don't have is my most favorite game in the world. I would not update my old ipad so I could keep the things I enjoyed the most. This new or updated version of boxed in freaks my eyes out! I don't even feel like looking at it! I have dyslexia and this shadow type look is so disappointing. So much for favorite. Why not just creat a new game and given it a new name. ✓ Unnecessary FluffThere’s no point making a game “3D” if that third dimension is never used for anything. I loved the original few Boxed In/Iced In games. They were fun and creative and visually clean and simple. This update adds a lot of unnecessary visual elements that don’t help the game at all. It’s difficult to see where the robot is to start and all the animations feel more like they’re done because they can, not because it will help anything. ✓ Boxed in 2 #47I love this game. I go back every few months to solve all over again. The only problem is when I get to boxed in 2 #47 it never lets me go on to #48. ✓ Stumped by 44I completed the first 43 levels quickly and easily, but was stumped by level 44 for a couple of weeks, so I skipped ahead to 45, which I completed in about a minute. I was still stumped by level 44 for a couple of weeks more, so I stopped playing the game for a few months. I hoped that the break would give me a fresh perspective, but it didn't. I have read 3BYRKI's solution for this level, but I wonder if his level 44 looks the same as mine because he mentions a + sign, which is not created if I follow his formula. He also says to unlock the yellow before the blue, which is impossible to do. I have tried different variations of his suggestions and this level still remains insolvable after following his instructions. It is very frustrating as I completed all the other levels within 2-3 minutes each..Version: 0
