It would be good if you could change team names and customise the teams a bit more but otherwise the simplicity of the ui and challenge of gameplay makes this brilliant. There’s a bit of a glitch when you hit the ball directly between the 4 and 6 runs zone which results in no runs. Test match hitting zones could do with being slightly bigger. But overall this is best cricket game available! Seems to have gone into neglect of late though - summed up by the delayed response to ios11 meaning I can’t actually play it anymore. ✓ Very challenging, but what a great implementation!Almost a batting simulator in two dimensions, this great little addictive game has brilliantly thought out controls. But be warned, this is not like most other cricket games (where you are soon hitting 4 or more boundaries an over). This game is tough, and like batting, takes concentration every single ball. The revolutionary controls are obviously carefully made for the iPhone/Touch platform. Two thumbs are needed, one controlling the backswing of your bat, the other the movement of your batsmen in both forward/back foot and crouch/stand tall dimensions. After that, it's all timing and the choices you make. Like wielding a real willow out in the middle, batting in this game is quite a confidence/rhythm game. Some times you are just cracking off the middle, other times you are a bundle of late blocks and poor footwork, deciding the shot you will play even before you see the ball. Note also that bat-swing motion is purely backswing. You let go at the top of the arc and the batsman will swing through by himself. This makes it more about timing than fast thumb "slash" movements. Make sure you play with the sound on, as I think the sweet willow on leather sound helps your sense of timing. The variation in deliveries you get is excellent, especially when you consider it is only in two dimensions. Fast balls that rear up at you gloves, and spinner deliveries that kick on at you. Be prepared for good days and bad days. When you crack a fast bowler for six, the feeling is as sweet as the real thing, and when you get a century, it's an achievement and you know you earned it. Don;t expect to do it every game (or even every 30 in my case!) I think there is room to make a few improvements, so here's my 2c: (1) allow player to choose quick play method (save match, century, draw, or random). I don't have the patience (nor the skill, apparently) for 20 overs of defensive blocking for a draw. (2) I would dearly love it if there was some randomness to the catching. i.e. you got dropped every now and then. As it is now, there is no suspense once you misguide one into the caught zone, just a sense of doom. Give us a life every now and then! (3) The little red leading arrow can be hard to see with two thumbs on the screen. It's never obscured, just a little too quick to truly get a feel. Short balls are particularly hard to get out of the way of I found. (4) the game is somewhat back-foot biased for me, maybe due to my comments in #3. Although coming forward to smother works well with the spinners and medium pacers (and is quote satisfying), I find that I spend almost all fast bowler deliveries on the back foot standing tall (dreading the caught behind off the gloves ball) and trying to punch runs. A few more yorkers would help balance that out. (5) Would like to see a little scorecard showing the last 6 deliveries. I really hope more people discover this great game, which has dominated my last few weeks as a firm fave next to Parachute Panic and Harbour Master. Having tried four other cricket games (ranging from okay but limited, to downright abyssmal), this is the only one I want to always "have a quick game" of, trying to beat the damn thing.... You can't really get an idea of the controls without playing the game, but rather than "press a button to hit ball", you have to use both thumbs to position your bat in the correct position, making the game play a lot more fluid and fun to play. When I downloaded this game I got frustrated quite early on as the controls take a little getting used to. Judging the flight and bounce of the ball is also tough. My scores at the start were terrible. Getting 5,10, 20 scores!! As time has passed though I can now score over 300 in a ODI or 200 in a 2020 game. It will take you some time to get used to it but stick with it. It has now become very addictive and I keep on playing it. Some are asking for a bowling aspect or other features .. But to add these kinds of features would not be in keeping with what this game is about. If developers add features they should be careful not to make it pointless or more complicated than need be. The Ashes game mode is tough to crack, for some reason I jut can't win.. At the moment.. The match mode is very hard, too hard, you can lose just 1 wicket before it's game over makng these challenges hugely difficult. Perhaps there could be a training mode, or easy mode? The other modes though are more forgiving. All in all it's an odd game but one that becomes addictive the more you master it. And the more you master it the more you will want to play it. Few games can give you that feeling. Its not the best game to look at... How can it be? When you are playing a test match, if you quit just after the last wicket has fallen, next time you go onto it, it says whatever you got. But if you select "Continue Match", you are still playing your innings! I did this and got to 1936 all out before I got bored! ✓ Howzat?Great game. Lots of room for improvement though. Firstly some sort of online mode would be great even if its just a leader board to begin with. Little things like being able to manipulate the field would add to the game. E.G. By scoring lots of singles the 'field' moves in, increasing the areas where you can score a boundary but increasing the probability that if you edge the ball you will be caught. Similarily scoring lots of boundaries increase the chances of scoring singles but reducing the areas of boundaries and reducing the chances of being caught. Skill levels would be good so as you get better at playing the game, your player improves. This could be done with achievements eg. Hit six sixes etc. Which adds to the incentive to keep playing. Being able to bowl would massively improve the gameplay, and would also raise the possibility of (online?) multiplayer matches. Finally some sort of team career mode would be good batting and bowling your way through the world cup, etc. This could link back to the field manipulation as a team captain setting various fields etc. Hope you take notice of some of these ideas and turn this good game into a great one :).AlexJenkins94Version: 0

✓ Most Realistic Cricket Game on Mobile!!!Devs, you are geniuses! The only cricket game that feels like batting - it's challenging, and while slogging gives you rewards, it can also turn against you, getting you out. The Test Series mode is SUPER FUN and EXHILARATING (the pressure is like real cricket - you want to do well for your team, and win!) I like the career mode as well, it's loads of fun. The only thing is that there is a HUGE difficulty gap per level, especially from county to international (I have an average of 70 in County, but 20 in international; with loads of centuries in county, but only one in international). I really like the ability to edit squads and play online as well! However, the best thing about the game is that it can be played seriously, over a long period, or many times in short periods will no ill affects to either! Easy to play, hard to master! :) Again, great job, and if you want a good console cricket game that replicates this AWESOMESAUCE, play Don Bradman Cricket 14 (you won't regret it, trust me!) But just played a test match for the first time (having had more than just a few moments to waste) and having won by an innings (against Australia too!) was told I needed a negative number of runs to win. I installed this game when I first got my iPhone 3GS like four years back and after four years this is the only game that I still have on my phone and play everyday. The online mode is awesome. ✓ Really good but a few things to improveIt's an enjoyable game, especially if you want a cricket game that takes a bit more practice, patience and skill than just button bashing sixes. It is quite a simple game which I think is a strength and gameplay is good. A few things to change would be the glitch where the ball goes into the top right corner (between 4 and 6) and you get 0 which is a bit of a pain. As many others have said, the spin bowling is too much. I don't mind the odd magic ball coming along but it's just unrealistic to have a ball that pitches, bounces straight up and then rolls into the stumps! Maybe make seam bowling a bit harder to compensate (it seems to take a genuine mistake or misjudgement of speed to get out to the seamers rather than an unplayable delivery), a bit more variable bounce or pitches that take more spin after a few days rather than vicious spin on morning 1. ✓ Good but...I love the game. But there should be bails as the ball has slightly touched the wickets and they have not moved and I have been given out. Declaration option as you score too high with 10 wickets I end up getting myself out deliberately. When it is a double bounce ball it is annoying this isn't normally allowed in cricket, can there be a way to stop this or you don't get out.
