✓ Works, but could use a face lift.Works as it should, I have not had any problems with bugs, and the barcode feature is very nice while adding comics. However the app is very outdated in terms of looks. I find it very unpleasant to look at, and I hope it gets a facelift soon..Version: 6.6.2

✓ Amazing app, Life saverThis app is amazing and it has helped me so much. Before I had to keep track of my entire collection by typing out all the information myself in a google docs like the series name, issue number, price, variant cover, etc but now with this app all it takes is a simple scan of the bar code. As soon as I reach the 100 comic limit I am definitely purchasing the unlimited version! **UPDATE, SEPTEMBER 2019** I wrote that review a while back and I now currently have the paid version so I can put in unlimited comics. I bought it before it was a subscription based app so they “grandfathered” me, very grateful for that they were very considerate of longtime customers and didn’t screw them over. Also love the new stats screen, but the one thing about that is that they can’t give value stats on your comics unless they are graded but the app knows the cover price of a comic when you scan it and it also lets you put in the amount you paid for it if what you paid is different then the cover price so I am hoping that soon they will also include value stats based on that info as well..Version: 5.0.4
✓ Great appThis is a great app. The barcode scanner partnered with the automatic download of info is amazing and works best great with single issues. I had a couple snags when scanning some Trades but other than that it found everything. The only thing that would make it better is if it could tell you what issues/trades you need in order to complete a set or story arc. At the moment you have to manually enter the ones you want on your wish list, whereas surely it can use your list of currently owned items and tell you what is needed..Version: 2.0.5

✓ Best program for tracking comics, hands down!I have probably gone through 8 or 9 different program/apps for my collection over the years and this one stopped that search about 3 years ago. The user interface is pretty straight forward, with a little learning curve I was adding my books in no time. The amount of information you can edit to each book is borderline OCD, date purchased, add a different cover, purchased price, etc. Their best feature might be their customer support. The 1/2 dozen times or so that I have contacted them about something I couldn’t seem to figure out (usually my fault), their response time was top notch. I have had them respond a few times within the same day, if not within 1-2 business days. I fell bad for Alwin, he seems to be stuck with me, pretty sure he’s the only person on their staff that I have ever delt with. I cant think of any real issue’s I have with this program, it easily does what its supposed to do. I am up to renew my membership in November and I won’t think twice about doing it!.Version: 5.6.1

Comics are easy to input using iPhone camera as barcode scanner, still took a couple hour to input 400+ comics but I'd imagine it would take a couple days to do it manually, especially all the info it automatically adds with the barcode scanner. Easy to browse comics with lots of detailed info. Generally easy to use. Not many other features than a list of comics you have/want etc. Also you can upload your collection online from the app and use a program from the website to see/edit the list. I was at a comic store when I finally decided to make the purchase - only for the app to not recognize my subscription. Frustrating. Later that night I decided to email customer support right before bed, 1104pm. I went to bed. At 352 am I received a response and everything was fixed - how’s about that! As for the app, it’s so satisfying to be able to get to the house after a run to the store and scan each of your books in before you even read them. So we began on a new collecting journey and one of the guys at that shop that we frequent recommended this app. He gave me a quick tutorial and I immediately downloaded it. I couldn’t wait to get home and start logging my new collection. This app is incredible and I would highly recommend it to other collectors new and old. Suggestion to the creator: maybe in the future updates you could add to be able to share your list on social networks or on personal blog? a link or as a document? The CLZ app is so awesome. When I reorganized my books, I tracked them all on CLZ, based on what comic box number I put them in. I can now find any book I own in an instant. The app also lets me take notes on the book, like if it’s autographed or where I got it and what it cost. If I hear about a book going up in value, I can see if I already have just by searching the app. Also, I can take a photo of any weird one-off book that’s not already in their massive database. I was aware of comic apps but didn’t know how to proceed. I asked the owner of my local comic shop and he spouted off three “good ones” but said he used CLZ personally and said most “comic guys” did too. ✓ Great customer service!CLZ Comics is a terrific app! It’s a great way to keep a catalog of my comic collection. It’s intuitive, easy to use and has a great database of comics. When it doesn’t have a comic already in its system, as was the case with some comics that I bought at SDCC, a simple email to customer service promptly fixed that. The only thing I would consider adding is a way to link up with Overstreet or Comics Price Guide to ascertain the value of your collection by selecting approximate grades for each book. Like people for 50 years before me, I was keep track of issues I had and still wanted in a little notebook. Always wondering if I remembered to scratch something off or add the right volume in. Importing and exporting to csv was an important feature for me, but I was responsible for some errors when trying it (my fault - user error). ✓ Robust and simple at a great priceLove this app. Inherited a 1300 comic collection and needed to know what I had. After searching for awhile, found CLZ. Without a deep knowledge of comics, I was able to quickly and easily understand how the app works, catalog the whole collection and manage it to my satisfaction. 95% of the comics were immediately found either using the series or barcode search, and I was quickly able to get a handle on the contents and ballpark value of the collection. Plus, it’s a great deal. Support has been very responsive and provided great answers when I’ve had questions. Only one small item that could be improved - it’s confusing that there are multiple cloud solutions that go with this app (free and subscription), would be clearer if that were streamlined or explained better. It is really easy to add your comics and the fact that the app has all the cover art too makes even more user friendly. Seeing my collection grow as I added individual comics and series has been strangely satisfying. The process of going through things I haven’t seen in years has been a nice flashback. If you have comics I highly recommend this app. The cloud sync is awesome and there’s an upcoming feature where they’re going to automatically give you the ‘slabbed and graded’ prices of comics on your list. ✓ Turns a rookie into a proThis CLZ app is a great way to database what you have, what you want, and what you want to sell. I tried some other free apps but this app is worth the yearly subscription. Takes a bit of time to input everything but we’ll worth the effort. I imagine once you’ve done all the work you’ll have to keep paying the yearly as you’ll lose all that time. I currently have over 1200 comics in this app and have not had one that didn’t have all covers and info and value$ (or lack there of). The iPad version is easier to use but the iPhone version is very good for having a list of you wishes when you go to the local comic shop. It helps to know what you should be paying ish. Some of the prices are higher than going rate and some items (asm 252) aren’t even in the money. To finish if you don’t have this app you are at a disadvantage when dealing with your collection. Cataloging is my collection is so easy by just scanning the barcode. When unable to scan a barcode, searching isn’t difficult at all. It’s organized so many different ways to sort through which is awesome. Having it on my phone is great too as I used to buy a bunch of duplicates before. Now I can check my collection from the app so I don’t buy the same stuff I already have (and just haven’t read yet, haha!) Another very important factor is their customer service. I had to contact their support team with my account and my database in the Cloud. ✓ A few drawbacksI really like this app, I have been able to quickly and easily add my collection using the barcode scanner and just by title, all of this aspect of the app is great, but and it is a small but, it has no function to show you which comics in a series you are missing! Which is a real pain. When I'm in my Comic store I have to scroll through everyone to make sure I'm not buying a double! A simple list of comics needed would be great. Also adding a comic to a series should be easier if you cannot barcode scan it. If the was an add to this series button that would be magic. ✓ Excellent Design and Excellent SupportI had not opened my comic boxes in nearly 20 years, and always wanted to document them. A few months ago, I looked at a variety of cataloguing solutions. This is the clear winner in terms of design, ease of use, and support. I rarely give credence to reviews that mention support. If someone gives a bad review because of support issues, it could easily be just one person having a bad day, or misinterpreting something. If they have a great experience, it make you wonder what was wrong with the product that required support. CLZ staff are proactive. They ask their customers for input and hold a full email conversation with you. They also provide clear instructions and are prompt. They are always working to improve their products and keep their customers informed of upcoming build outs. Being a database analyst, I can say this product is a superb way to catalogue and maintain your collection. The cloud sync is seamless, and the export option enables me track data across time, and create my own box manifests. It’s also a peace of mind that you can have a personal back-up of you collection. ✓ Essential for serious collectorsOk i’ve been a paid up member of ClZ for about 2 years, i also pay a small monthly charge to get the valuation updates. If you simply want to know what keys are: go for the Key Collector app. Of course that app doesn't show any info regarding non-keys so if you’re a collector of given titles its of limited use. Its good for keys, but terrible for valuations, use eBay ‘sold items’ instead. As for CLZ its an essential tool particularly if your collection is in the thousands. You can manipulate and sort data at the touch of a button. You can see numbers per title, see missing issue numbers, see duplicates, you can either manually type in or scan barcodes to enter comics into your database. All of it is childs play. Is it worth the money? Its worth more than you pay in my view. Why 4 stars instead of 5? For big books, keys, mini keys, micro keys i’d say the valuations are pretty decent and give you a fair idea. But as for the non keys its often WIDE of the mark. For example a mid issue number Spectacular Spider-Man (non key) in standard 9.2 NM- grade it rates as circa £30, not a chance, thats a £4-7 book in that grade. And there are thousands of examples like this. It would be better if their pricing algorithm searched on ebay ‘sold items’. So until that happens, as a general rule of thumb i estimate my overall collection value at 25-30% of CLZs ‘collection total’ (since i have thousands of non-keys). If CLZ correct the pricing algorithm and were to add a ‘key’ field for example then that would be the perfect app. As it is though? Still highly recommended..Version: 6.5.1
✓ Great app for a collectorI’ve had this app just a few months, but it has changed how I collect. Gone are the days of “do I have this?” and duplicate purchases. I know what I have in collection at all times. Gee, what box is it in? Oh, that box, great! Hey, the art in this book is amazing, who is the artist? It’s right there for you to see. You see an issue you want, but don’t really like the cover? Check out all the variant covers and buy the one/s you want! This app is very dangerous, though. Not only do you know what you have, but now you can see everything you don’t have and put it on a list to buy. Collector happy, bank account not so much. This app has already saved me it’s annual price by preventing duplicate buys, but I’ve also spent far more on that picking up the issues I don’t have. Either way, it’s great. Also, the developers behind it are amazing. They respond to help requests, product bugs, and listen to the users for better functions. 5/5..Version: 7.7.1
✓ CLZ is great !!!I have been using CLZ for many years. My collection is currently over 9000 comics and I wouldn’t be able to keep up with it all without this app. Having the app on my phone as well as my desktop gives me the freedom to quickly check on my library when I’m out buying comics (it’s easy to forget which ones you already have when you’re dealing with thousands of comics). I also like that the app grabs the covers and data about each comic when I’m logging them in. I rarely have a problem with the app but when I do the designers get back to me quickly with solutions that work. ✓ Great overall appThis is an amazing app to have. I started seriously trying to collect only a few years ago, but summer of 2018, my collection got to the point of me not being able to keep track of what I had and what I didn’t have, like a lot of people. CLZ was the first app that popped up when I looked for a database type app for the collection and it’s been amazing. If by chance you find a comic they don’t have, they work with you to get it added, so it will appear in your database. The only real issue I have with CLZ, and it’s not overly huge, is that, when trying to export your collection to an Excel file, some of the information is incomplete, whether it’s due to the CLZ database having the information or not I’m not sure. ✓ Great way to catalog your collectionBefore CLZ, I would manually keep track of back issues I needed in the notepad app. Often times, things wouldn't save and months later when sorting my books, I'd find I had 2 or 3 copies of the same book. With CLZ, that's no longer a problem. It's super easy to look up and log your collection. You can either scan barcodes (which is real nice for New Comic Book Day or when you've raised the quarter bin at your LCBS) or you can manually add in books from a series from a checklist (which is nicer for when you've got a huge chunk of the series that you want to add). ✓ Scanning barcodes not fully working on iPhone 14 Pro MaxUpdate to the review below: looking forward to the update that fixes this issue with iPhone 14 models. Thank you working on it. Have to move comic so far away for it to scan any barcode, and in most cases I just type it instead because barcode is so small for app to recognize it. If you have barcode right in the white brackets it is completely blurry and un-scannable. Hopefully can be fixed in future update. Overall app is great and I’ve been using it for couple of years now. I have been collecting comics for over 40 years and I downloaded this app several years ago as a way to track and organize my collection. It has allowed me to do that in so many different and useful ways so I can quickly and efficiently find specific issues in numerous ways whenever I need to and wherever I am. The app has also helped me track issues I’m looking for, keep up with new releases and variants as well as customize issues, series and collections in numerous ways. This is particularly helpful when preparing for and attending the numerous conventions I go to each year and when tracking issues I have sent out for grading/slabbing/signature or waiting for online orders. I have been able to add my own information and the regular updates continually address customer requests and incorporate new ideas all of which has made my collecting experience more fun. Would love to see an export function to excel (such a nerd). Would also love to see a total cost of my collection - I can see value based on comic sales of graded copies but I would really appreciate seeing my total cost vs total value. ✓ Great app - a great way to carry your collection detailsFirst. 1. The developers make no secret that the free version is really a “trial” to a max 100 comics. Full version costs you. That’s fine - this must represent an incredible, ongoing investment in time and money to keep the central database updated. 2. The IOS version is really to allow you to carry around a portable synced version of your PC/Mac “master. I would not like to enter thousands of comics on an iPad. Having said that, the information and presentation is clear and complete, and the search option allows you to quickly see what you have and do not have. You can search by any word - title, publisher, writer, artist, etc. It’s hard to review the app without referring to the desktop master app which allows mass entry of comic runs very simply and quickly. I tried, years ago, to use Excel - forget it! With the desktop app - I can add perhaps 200 comics an hour quite easily. Recommended - but caveat emptor on points 1 and 2..Version: 4.3.2
✓ Best app to get your collection organizedI finally had to get my collection under control and organized. This is the best app I’ve found so far to get this done. Also had to deal with a subscription issue. Technical support was very quick to respond and made sure my issue was resolved. If you want an app that works well and also has great support this is the app. One suggestion is adding raw comic book pricing. I know raw comic prices are very dynamic, but including raw prices would help in estimating the general overall value of the collection. Would make this app even better..Version: 5.0.4
