✓ Great app and great supportI’ve been using the Games app for a few years and decided to branch out to the Music app to catalog my collection. I downloaded the trial and had issues adding albums. ✓ Excellent product and great service.I have a large music collection and the need to catalogue it was getting obvious. I tried various products but this one was streets ahead of the others. I have been using it and the desktop version for years and whenever a problem crops up (as they are bound to from time to time) they are always fixed promptly and skilfully. ✓ Great Little AppAfter years of relying on iTunes for my music library (mostly for convenience), I found I missed the tactile aspects of thumbing through albums & CDs and had forgotten how vastly superior they sound to mp3s. With so many old CDs and records in my collection, I wanted a way to catalog them separate from iTunes and came upon this app. I have to say I'm seriously impressed, and that's not easy to do these days with so many crap apps out there. This downloaded quickly and was attractive and simple to figure out, and within minutes I had added 30 CDs - both by scanning UPC codes and adding by artist/album if there wasn't one. Then came the moment of truth, seeing this database on other devices. That too was flawless, I set up a free account, synced my first device to the cloud, then downloaded the app on my next device and synced it. Kaboom, there it was. It even worked on my first generation iPad from 2010 that became our iTunes remote (and now music database). I paid for the app immediately just to say thanks for designing something that works the way you hope it will yet so rarely does. Nice job!.Version: 4.4.2

✓ Great and nearly excellentAs a long term user of Music Collector I was delighted to be able to carry my collection on my iPhone. I was a little worried about whether it would sync as my PC which holds the database has a wired not wireless connection to my wireless router and I wasn't sure whether the app had to connect directly from the iPhone via wireless. I shouldn't have worried - it connected without any problem. It loads quickly, displays the collection in a variety of ways and has a search facility. Two disadvantages rob it of the final star - one is that it doesn't display the rating for the album (ie how good I think it is). This is very important to me - I want to remember whether I liked it or not. The other is the price. The PC app, on which this depends is not cheap at £25 for the standard version, £40 for the pro. Another £6 for a read only iPhone copy seems a little steep. Anyway, I'm using it regularly - its much faster than firing up ther PC and hope that they will soon add the ratings field. ✓ Good, but not great for classical musicThe idea of the app is great, but I've had to manually enter a lot of my classical music recorded on lesser known labels. ✓ FresburgerI have been looking for this app for a long time. I have a medium sized record collection, most of which are over 50 years old. Just type in artist, album name then hit search. App will search the Internet and give you what it found you then select the result that best fits your album. In most cases it also includes album cover photo. Only con so far is that you are limited to 100 in your collection. I'm sure that by paying for an upgrade it will give you more slots. So far I give it five stars. Update, still an awesome program! No crashes or freezing. And the cost to increase your data base is VERY reasonable!.Version: 4.0.3
✓ CLZ - superb product!I have been using CLZ Music for a couple of years now - and it’s brilliant! Like others, I wanted a way to organise my music collection - Vinyl, CD and digitised. CLZ Music is very flexible - you can enter as much or as little data as you want about your collection. Adding or deleting as the mood or time takes you. Even beyond the “presets” it is infinitely flexible and user driven - ideal for the most exacting of audiophiles in my opinion. There are multiple fields that I have thought, that would be really interesting to record. Some day soon, I may get round to it. But, CLZ Music is no less useful if you don’t complete those fields. On the minimal number of occasions I have contacted support (once as a newbie and recently being very forgetful!) - they are superb! Often replying within a short period of time (note to self: maybe support don’t work 24/7; Sundays take a bit longer!). They are always helpful, friendly, supportive and know how to solve your problem. Would I stop my subscription and try someone else, or not bother at all to organise my collection? Not a chance!! ✓ A very good program with room for improvementI do not have a huge vinyl collection as I am just starting to rebuild my record collection. At present I have 146 albums and box sets, with another 10 albums on the way here. I had a large CD collection, but I have been winding this down as I build my vinyl collection so I am not sure yet whether I will catalogue this as well. To date I have been using a Discogs derivative "Discographic" and found it quite good, but very basic, with very limited sorting, or editing capability. I have completed entering my collection into CLZ Music and hence the main title above. The searchable database for album recognition is not as good as Discogs and you do end up spending more time having to take pictures of the LP sleeve/cover. This is one area that I would appreciate improvement on. In addition I had to enter the data because the ability to transfer the data from Discographic did not work effectively for me. Now this maybe related to my computer knowledge level, but I would think that for collectors with a real collection of size this would be a major deterrent to converting to CLZ Music. The above points do not detract from the fact that this app/program (I have the desktop version as well) is very versatile, editable and a good program that has shown a commitment by the developer over the years to deal with issues and to improve, plus expand it's capabilities. ✓ Wonderful Catalogue for Classical Music and MoreI hesitated for a long time before trying this, or any app, to log all of my music, as I have close to 6,000 CDs and around 1,000 vinyl albums, mostly classical, jazz and “world”music. And it’s classical music that produces a particular issue, which is how do you want to file/look up a CD with multiple artists, playing multiple composers? The CLZ app makes this all entirely possible by the use of tags and editable look up labels for artist, composer, label, amd many many more. So I can now look up Jean Efflam Bavouzet and Manchester Camerata playing Mozart’s Piano Concertos at Stoller Hall, on the Chandos label, which is a recommended recording by Gramophone Magazine in any way I choose, and know it’s filed under Mozart Piano Concertos. They are also very very responsive to questions and feedback, and development ideas. Highly recommended!.Version: 8.4.4

✓ Excellent App for MusicI have been using CLZ Books for over 3 years and finally I decided to install de CLZ Music for my collection of Vinyl records and CD’s I was amazed to find that this app has a lot of places that you can enter the information that you want to include. It makes really a good program , easy to enter the information, even manually since the old vinyl records were manufactured before the barcode system was invented. I also find the support I received is excellent , the reply to any question was good and quick considering the difference in time zone between Australia and the Netherlands. ✓ Best music archiving appI’ve been using Music Collectors in one form of another for about ten years. My collection is quite large and it’s important to be able to quickly access my collection and retrieve data. With the always improving feature set it is more functional and helpful to me than ever. A new update was just released and was significant for me. One of the new features is the addition of box set information. I have hundreds of box sets and could not figure out how to get all of my sets to synchronize from my Cloud Collectorz to the updated ios app. I contacted support and they responded with simple, easy to follow directions. I had all of my box sets and the data for each synced onto my ios app in under two minutes! Great software and great support. There are many features which I find useful such as media condition and the new one, People, which enables me to include the band members, engineers, etc. This is more than just a searchable database, it’s an encyclopaedia of your own collection. Support staff are easy to reach out to, reply quickly, know their stuff and are very helpful. ✓ What my iPhone has been waiting forIf you have an iPhone and use Collectorz Music this is a must. I have, in the past, saved my CD collection list to an excel spreadsheet, but this is so much better. I have also been forced to put my Collectorz Music database in order and ensure that I had album covers for them all, which is no bad thing. Synching sometimes takes a bit of time, and is prone to timing out, but it always gets there in the end. The App comes with a dummy collection, which is overwritten by your collection, but it would have been nice if this had been spelt out somewhere..Version: 0

✓ You spin me right round baby right roundI love this app. There are quite a few online databases out there for managing your vinyl collection - I chose CLZ because it lets me access online as well as have an offline database that I own. This lets me have control and also lets me access online. I use this when I'm in a store to check if I have a copy of something in the collection - and also for the fun of entering and managing my collection. There are improvements to be made - and the great thing is that they are being made all the time. The support team are great - responsive and clear (and, in my mind, direct and honest). ✓ Finally got around to using it.I have had the app for some time but was not originally impressed as it had some quirks. Now that sheltering in place is a thing, I revisited it and was very to happy to see there have been some improvements eliminating those little quirks. I scanned in a few hundred so far and kept thinking there is no way they will have this title, but was proven wrong after scanning the barcode and up pops the disc. I had to contact support for syncing issues since it has been a long time in between uses, but got the correct answer back quickly to get databases to sync. Very pleased. ✓ CLZ music databaseI have been an audiophile for many years. With a large collection of Cd,s and a growing vinyl collection I was really struggling to keep track where they were filed. I was using spread sheets but there was just not enough information and it as also a tedious task. Then I found this app CLZ which is a music database. One of the beauties of this app is the simplicity in entering a new album purchased. 99% of my entries are via the barcode reader. Not only does it add the album but also shows all of the tracks, shows the cover pic, allows me to enter my personal file number and I can rate the album. It also gives a search facility by artist or song or genre. There is also my personal stats as well. I can not rate this app highly enough I absolutely recommend..Version: 6.3.1

✓ The best music cataloguing systemThere’s no better system for cataloguing an extensive, or even a small, music collection. With both the iOS and Mac apps, it’s easy to add and edit albums, whether CDs, vinyl, or files. The level of detail is great, everything from conductor and orchestra for classical, to specifying vinyl weight and color. There are regular updates providing new benefits, and syncing across multiple devices is simple. You can even create “for sale” lists, and wish lists for when you go shopping. I use 3 of CLZ’s services (Music, Film, Books), and use both app and web for each. It is an absolute delight to be looked after in such a personal manner. It was not the other reviews that got me to be a 3x subscriber; it was the unparalleled service. Superb!! Separately, I really do like a lot of the functionality that caters for the different forms of media by which one needs to catalogue stuff, defining ‘where’ it might be, along with other customisations. ✓ Great App and Wonderful Customer ServiceGot the trial app and just love it! I catalogued 75 CDs in about 20 minutes. I would also recommend getting the Music Connect web based program as you can edit your information easier in bulk. ✓ Awesome App!I’ve been using CLZ Music collector for 5+ years and it’s been a great way to catalog my CDs and LPs. I use it to keep all media organized by genre and alpha in CD rack and LP cabinet (1000 CDs +100 newly added LPs.) when I scan a new CD - I instantly know which CDs it goes between! CLZ is always improving the app. like recently adding statistics in real. 5.2. The best part for me is being able to scan barcodes or enter catalog #s - I can’t imagine doing it manually anymore. And now scanning is in the app - no more need for the separate Barry app. Syncing to the cloud is a nice assurance too. My heart usually sinks when I have to find albums as much of my music collection is pretty esoteric, but in this case the database is remarkable and easy to navigate with keywords. ✓ Great appWhile it’s similar to Discogs, I prefer it much more. You can manipulate the artist name any way you want so that you can create a database that mirrors your physical collection. Want Tom Petty to be under “P”? No problem! Want to have Cream albums beside your Clapton albums? No problem! You also have lots of space to include any other information you want. Personally I keep track of specific information on the album itself - quality of pressing, flaws with the cover etc so that if I am crate digging I can compare copies with accuracy. I also keep track of when I listened to it last, if I’ve cleaned it with my ultrasonic cleaner and I even log reviews. The point is it’s very versatile to augment your information and collection the way YOU want to see it. In my case, it acts as a database of information and I have an exact digital mirror of my physical collection. Why flip through thousands of albums when I can simply scroll through them? Only issue I have is the desktop version (which to me is a must to go with the mobile)-most updates are only available when you pay up and purchase the new version.
