✓ Unfair in battleIt's good but not great The battles are unfair, as soon as I start at level one there is a medium battleship that can destroy my power generator in one hit (which basically means game over) I can't progress anymore and it's the same in PvP. I try to repair my ship but the crew member dies almost instantly. Fix this and make it fair, its really annoying knowing I have no way of progressing. (Edit: I reset so I could play again, but apparently that doesn't last long. I go into battle and in seconds I'm dead, people who are wanting to download this game and play well good luck, because once you get up to the part where medium ships come in there is nothing to play anymore, all you will do is die. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS GAME, MAKE THE BATTLES FAIR!!!.Version: 0.71

Um well as i said i have been playing for a only like an hour and i have found a small thing that happens at the start, basically i built a gas collector BEFORE the achievement to build it appears this has made the issue of the game wanting me to build it but i have already built it and at this moment of the game i cant just build another one as the max number at my level is 1 gas collector. Other than this annoying little bug i love this game and will not stop until all my friends and family have it so i steal their precious resources. ✓ Absolutely amazing game!I’ve been playing this game for roughly 2 and a bit years (Stardate 1027) and it’s absolutely amazing! The amazing ship customisation, game exploration and constant updates are like no other game around! And that’s the best part, there’s no other games around like this. I have devoted so many hours, days, months and years into this game and I’m going to keep devoting time to it. I would’ve liked to see more customisation into ships, eg; custom ship hull designs and a bit more storyline for the Federation, pirates, aliens and ECT. The one critical item that needs to be implemented it the Dolores head storyline. Back in stardate 600 (for me). You could play along storyline to get Dolores parts, now all that’s been removed. And for a few days it seemed like a ship carrying random Dolores parts came along too, now that doesn’t show up?? The head, body, and a single leg has been sitting in my inventory for ages and I would at least like to assemble it. However, despite my small preferences, this game is still 15/10 with everything from crew names to matchmaking, I wouldn’t recommend anything other than this game.Version: 0.911

✓ IU update propositionHi ! I’ve been playing the game since a month~+ And I was thinking about some IU complements that will be great if added like : - A panel with all our crew and their stat (to have an overview of our team) - A button to fix all modules at the same time - multiple IA pre-register that will allow the fighter to change his strategy in-fight easily (with button in combat to change the IA’s group the ship is set on). Aswell as Having multiple preset ship organisation. (One were we can set the farm way / other the missile comp / other tp, hangar strat). So we can choose which type of strategy we want to use or test. Being able to fight against his own ship to be able to see our own vulnerabilities, will be awesome. cause when watching the battle either it’s a stomp so nothing to learn from either it’s just to specific to adjust in case. And I think adding a permanent live pvp battle will be great (other than the IA event), where we can really try our crew. Thanks for reading, hopefully you’ll take in count those propositions because I think It could definitely add value to the game. ✓ Great game with one important problThe title says it all really. Gameplay wise this game is great: I don’t mind waiting for stuff/watching ads to speed it up, the combat system is on the whole pretty well balanced (except that occasionally you’ll meet an opponent in pvp that spams their entire crew onto your ship and guts it from the inside, and there are no AI options to tell your crew to repel the boarders- or tell your own guns not to shoot at your crew if you beam them onto the enemy ship!) and there are some good story elements in there too, even if the daily missions are a bit same after a while. The reason I can’t give 5 stars is simple though: the game just doesn’t display text properly and will cut off anything (chat, mission text or even descriptions of rooms and crew) that doesn’t fit in the relatively small text window, with no option to scroll and no auto-scroll either. Fix that and you’ll get the fifth star!.Version: 0.932

✓ Fun game, some downsides.Fun little game, kinda like Faster then light on pc but mobile, Doesn't require money to be spent early on, but late game things take a while as you would expect. The tutorial voice is aids and painful to listen to but is only there for the start, Some bugs such as changing your ships colour doesn't always save, but I feel like it needs something more to do then just PvP and missions, Still it's one of the better MMO RPG, Money and gameplay wise..Version: 0.53
✓ Element recommendationsI recon it would be really amazing and immersive if your character decisions at the beginning of the game mattered a little bit more. For example the choices of your characters look after they graduate; Sexy may add to lower purchase price of “drop ship” goods, Official ( whatever it was) may increase the number of crew members allowed aboard your ship at one time, And rich may increase the mining and gathering rates of onboard collectors. Just ideas and suggestions, but I recon that something like that would allow for broader and more diverse playing styles and overall enjoyment. ✓ GlitchThere is a glitch in the Character Abilities where they do absolutely nothing. For example “Healing Rain”, when activated it will play the particle effect, but it does nothing at all. But VERY good game, and the glitches should disappear very easily with the amount of people playing this game. And Pixel Starships has a great community where I can always see people chatting with each other in the Public Chat just like they know each other as friends, I have never seen anything like Trolling and Cyber Bullying in the Public Chat..Version: 0.931
✓ Old tech dose not mean obsoliteSo far I’m enjoying this game. Especial as my ship gets stronger and bigger. Couple of things I think will add to this game, 1) The ability to name your ship. Every time the new enhanced ship is done being built there should be a prompt asking you what do you want to name your new ship. 2) The ability to expand your personal fleet.. Maybe start with small support ships and work your way up the same like with the main ship. It would be fun to see them moving along side your main flagship. It would make the whole ship to ship combat a little more interesting. Once you have the -AI thing- down most of your ships can act on their own.. ✓ Presses all the right buttonsThis game gets it right in every way and I hope the developers can keep at it. I’m only in the early part of the game so far and it’s already got an adorable pixel aesthetic that I can’t get enough of, solid and easily understandable mechanics, and enough strategy involved with combat to give the player some options on how to approach any situation. The only issue I see so far is the melee combat is a little off: the menu options are too close together (wouldn’t worry if this was on pc or console but this matters on a touch screen). I’d like to see damage output have a range instead of a set amount every time; critical strikes and misses should be possible. Overall combat needs to have some variables thrown in to make it less monotonous. Other than that this is a solid game that deserves more attention..Version: 0.953.3
✓ One word - WOWI did not expect to enjoy this game so much. I very rarely spend money on a game that is free, especially a subscription, but I could not contain myself in the excitement of what’s to come. I’m even happy to watch optional ads when it means my upgrades will finish quicker. This beautifully pixelated game looks simple and child-like from screenshots, but there is an immense amount of depth and strategy in the pvp and I can also show my creativity through the ship design/layout. Looking forward to getting more use out of the trade market. I can see myself spending a lot of time on this great little game. Thank you developers for scratching so many itches!! Edit: Still believes this is an amazing game. However, when you reach level 6, upgrades take days to complete which is normal of a game like this. My problem with this was that there was nothing to keep my engagement in the game while these were upgrading. There wasn’t much use attacking others because money was relatively easy to come by. The ‘clan war’ function should have been its saving grace, but clan wars were too irregular. And once one started, all you had to do was attack players like normal........ I feel like this part of the game was lacking and that they should take a page out of the clash of clans book. Make us plan an attack, make clan wars more regular, give us a reason to play beyond level 6. Top game, falls apart mid game....Version: 0.931
✓ Great game 10/10I love this game and everything about it, I’m bad a writing reviews, but I can argue and rant better than any other. I keep seeing people who are upset about waiting times and pay to win stuff. This game has long waiting times because the game isn’t meant to be played for hours on end. Your supposed to come in and check on everything do some quests and battles and then upgrade things and wait for them to finish. Stop getting upset saying you have to pay to win when you are making a choice to buy those things. Get some patience and wait for things to finish. ✓ Expand the marketI love this game! I got my girlfriend on it, and many of her friends as well. A lot of mine are on it too, it’s a really good game. The battling is great, and there is very much content. Although, I feel that Gbay should be expanded upon. In my honest opinion, the game would take a huge step forward with something along the lines of stocks were to appear. I’d love to be able to invest in something, maybe along side my friends, even. I so strongly think that there should be more ways to earn Starbux, specifically. ✓ PixelStarships reviewI really love this game, the progression doesn’t feel to slow the space and ground combat are both enjoyable (Ground is definitely the weaker of them though). But my biggest issue with the game is the way victory or defeat is decided, the way this is decided is ,if you destroy there ship which at the start seems nice and simple. But as you level up you will find yourself increasingly at odds or in even battles and this is where this system starts to crumble. So you’re in a space battle you have 2 shields and 13 hull and the enemy has 3 shields and 15 hull (this is pretty balanced as the AI is not a clever) you start to fight you’ve gone through there shields you’ve destroyed a bunch of there rooms when the timer ends you’ve still got your shields but you’re on 10 hull and the enemy Shields are completely destroyed and they have 4 hull this means you’ve only lost 3 hull and the enemy has lost 11 hull. But you still loose even though you have not taken much damage there on there last limbs but you still loose. And the problem is that these types of battles happen a lot so for me this is a huge problem Other then that I love this game..Version: 0.65
✓ Great gameThe strategy is very in-depth and lots of variety. Pixel art style is nostalgic. Battles are quite intense. Also updates are very frequent from writing this review. Problems are it can be quite P2W and seeing your opponent with maxed out and fully geared crews can be disengaging. It is very buggy and occasionally the game will kick you out to restart. It’s got hours worth of gameplay, no compulsory adds, and is not as money-hungry as almost all of these voodoo/ketch app games. That’s not to say it doesn’t have downsides, it takes awhile to get any sense of customisation and it’s own STARBUX is a slow process to farm. This is an amazing and imaginative game, certainly worth trying for a while. ✓ Fun but needs a few tweaksFirst off let me just say that this game is really fun. I have been playing for months now and I haven’t grown out of it like I do to a lot of the games I get. But some things could be changed to make the game better. First off there needs to be way more things to buy using gas. I know to research you have to use gas but sometimes it doesn’t take up that much. At this point I am level six and I am playing as a Quantarian. Most room upgrades are like 90 k minerals and I don’t normally get as much minerals as I do gas even though all of my gas collectors and mineral miners are the same level. And let’s not forget about the mineral mining lasers that also add to my mineral collection. Another thing is that the special offers in the shop are kinda pay to win. I was destroyed by a level 5 ship because it had 2 multi- missile launchers. Overall the game is good and very fun. I recommend this game to everyone. It’s addictive, good looking, amazing community, can be played competitively or casually, requires certain management skills, and rewards you for being active. Basic newb warning’s and advice, by Orélia (pss name) 1) Don’t make a fleet instead join one (preferably a top 100), to succeed at this you will need help and that is what fleets are for. 2) Don’t get the gray ship as it is too small. 3) You use mining drones by going on mining planets using the galaxy map, you can then come back to collect your findings. 4) Get discord. 5) Avoid hull rushing try to upgrade everything on your ship, crew, rooms, armour, lab, so that when you level up you are ready to handle the next bigger threats. (prevents you from rage quitting later on) 6) No one wins defence battles, don’t worry about that. 7) During pvp be a bully attack the weak, or the ones you are sure you can kill, “fight smart not strong” -some guy idk 8) Yes you need elevators, max em out or they will be slow you don’t want that! Also refrain from using 3 stories elevators instead put multiple to optimize crew movement. 9) a “min swap”or “gas swap” is a process used by players to store recourses beyond storage capacity exploiting the drop box mechanic. This is done by “exchanging” small mineral or gas boxes (originally worth 1k gas/min) at seemingly outlandish prices, such as 500k min/gas (higher amount would fill up said drop box) so you would posts a box for 500k min/gas, then another player would do the same, you buy his crate, and he would normally do the same (storing the resources of both parties in the drop box making them impossible to steal), the only downside to this is the elusive 20% market tax wich unfortunately means that 100k min\gas is lost every time this action is completed. If you want to complete this just look in English chat for “MIN SWAP 500k” (don’t worry you won’t miss it) 10) Global chat is dead, if ya wanna talk to someone go on the English server it’s pretty much active 24/7. 11) the fact that you have a high lvl ship is no bragging mater as it does not mean you are good in anyway, what makes you good is your ship’s overall quality (layout, crew, ai, strategy, modules, armour placement, etc) Fun fact I got beat up by a lvl 5 as a lvl 9. 12) Register your account to be able to access your ship on multiple devices without losing all your progress or if you wish to have alts or access to late shop. 13) Be patient. ✓ Great Game, butI love this game and enjoy playing it everyday, but I wish there was some way to have a faction war. Like a 3v3 or a 5v5. This may need new type of craft that could heal allies or act as a shield. I always thought the idea of a craft that your crew could board and infiltrate the enemy ship in mass numbers would be cool. Another idea would allow you to buy 2 small frigates that would fight with your ship, and have separate power and crew That would make this game completely amazing! I do wish the leveling up of your ship was easier. I seem to have gotten stuck at gold+, where the only way to level up would be to pay money or grind for 16 hours straight, and I don’t have the time for that. The nanopaint is awesome idea, but does not work at all and is a waste of Starbucks until it’s fixed, thank you for your first valiant attempt. I also really want a private faction for friends, but I don’t have enough friends to get a starbase, if possible lower the amount of people required for a starbase, that would make this game be a 6/5. ✓ Great gameThis game is exceptional, great graphics for a pixel game, decent gameplay and no pop up ads, very fun. The reason it’s 4/5 star is because many optional ads crash the game, and sometimes functions break and I have to reload the game, upgrade and construction times not that long compared to other games but still very painful to wait for. ✓ More lifelikeOverall this game is perfect. However I have a few requests, when I got a crew-member from missions, i had received a nurse... all that I saw though was a floating torso, nothing else. If anyone can fix this I will be pleased. Also, when I got this game it reminded me of Terraria CPU’s , and I look at the crew members and how they move when not fighting, they don’t leave their rooms, I feel like if you let the crew members to freely move around the ship and mace even have conversations with one another , it would enhance gameplay. But because whey won’t stay in the rooms assigned to them, you’ll have to create another menu to select which rooms the characters will start at when initiating a ship battle. This will make them much more appealing and entertaining to watch them move around a bit more, rather than them pace back and forth while being isolated from the crew. Either way, great game. ✓ A brilliant gameFirst off I would like to, warmly, congratulate the devs. They have made a brilliant ship building/combat game that feels like a space version of fallout shelter. Pixel Starships not only boasts amazing mechanics but also has optional micro-transactions, Which I feel, are not needed to enjoy this game. It also has an amazing community. I had just built my account, and reached ship LVL 4.(Light destroyer.) I rapidly received a friend request, from a ‘New clan.’ However, they had 2K+ players, and somehow one of the leaders decided to recruit me. The games itself consists of gathering resources(Minerals,Gas and Starbux.) And using these to buy, and upgrade rooms, Players upgrade storage capacity so they can hold more Minerals and Gas.(As Starbux have no limit.) Starbux are the in-game version of V-Bux or RoBux. These are used to, fill Gas or mineral to max, Speed up rooms, Complete certain researches, and to buy a UFO Class of ship. The players also have access to global, English, Fleet(Like clans.) Chats. These are where players discuss. It also has a bursting marketplace, where users choose how much of something to sell. And how much to sell for. Certain items are ‘Contraband’ and can’t be sold. Overall, it’s a fun Base-building and PVP Game. 10/10.Version: 0.997.3

It does get grindy at higher lvls, but never feels ‘greedy’. Its not rimworld of course but for a mobile game has tons of depth. ✓ Very, Very Impressed.This game is very unique. Never have a played anything like it. There’s a lot of detail. For one, there is a lot of strategy involved, and many different ways to build your ship, program your ai with cmd commands. its not real time battles but if their AI is good enough, its gonna feel like one. There’s building times, but they feel rewarding. Visual level ups, noticable increase in what ever it is you upgraded. The Community is fun, kind of vulgar, watch out kiddies, But over very nice and helping. If you have a question, all chat will be there for you. You cant fit everything on your ship, you will have to sacrifice rooms from time to time depending on what you need to focus on (i.e battles or resource production) Lastly, one of my favorites. There is a sort of economy syestem. Virtually any item you find on your adventures, you can sell. And also buy. If you find a very valuable item, you can sell it for the resources in the game, and also PAYED currency. So there is no need to spend money on this game, you can do very well without any money spending. But maybe pop a $5 here or there just to help them out. They definitely earned it. ✓ AwesomeI personally really enjoy base defense games like this one and Clash of Clans, but I think that this game blows all others like it out of the water! In clash of clans, you can't really control where your troops go once you place them, or which specific troops your defenses will target, but in this game, it's all you. You can choose to target individual subsystems, weapons, and even, to an extent, crew members! You can set up an ai to defend your ship, add stickers to your ship, and change the color of your ship. There is a lot of personalization, which is nice, and just so many feature that make this game a worthwhile download! 10/10 Great game!!😀 (Edit: I do have one problem with the game. One of the things that you can do with your ship, is that you can spend a substantial amount of the games premium currency, and be able to change the color of your ship. I was excited about this, and I saved up to get that. However when I did this, I found that it basically averages the color. For example I tried to do red, and it gave me orange. Also change how the ships are presented from a top down view to a side view and add full redesign-able interiors using a grid system and square/rectangular rooms. Add some SCIENCE and research things. And then put the entire player base on a league table with shiny things at the top. That is Pixel Starships. An interesting and fun little game that needs its PvP opponent finder tweaking just a smidge, because I want to fight people that will help me progress up the league ladder, not bully low tier ships that haven't got anything worth taking. Seriously, is Bronze tier just dead accounts with ships that don't have gun rooms equipped. However. However, however, however... One problem is how unpredictable teleporting crew members onto other ships can be. With some crew having overpowered abilities that can instantly kill many others, boarding enemy ships could instantly secure a victory or have very little effect. Often very random and based on chance, depending on ship layouts and other “random” factors. Another problem that upset me very much was disconnecting often with a pop-up telling me to reconnect. It happened once while I was collecting profit from selling on the market. I find a few hundred of my “starbucks” missing. That’s quite a chunk of change. ✓ Great Game, but I have some suggestionsI got this game when it first came out and I have put a lot of time into it. I really love the strategy aspect of the game, especially the complications of having to periodically sacrifice a room depending on your current focus. I have restarted many times due to frustration with my choices of how to spend my starbux and what upgrades to spend my resources on, and therefore I am not as good of a player as I could have been. I love the gBay feature, but I think that it would be greatly improved if you added the function of being able to change your listings, such as the prices or being able to remove the listing. I like the idea of star-bases, but it is really hard for an up and coming fleet to build one, and to get access to a star base with a starbux printer, you either have to have played for a long time and have a high level ship, or look like you have exceptional potential for becoming a good player. Otherwise the popular bias is against and alliance affiliations that do really well like NOD and ZAKI will not accept you into them. ✓ Great game on mobile but not so great on laptopThe game is amazing and runs fine on mobile so I installed it through steam, I was aware that it said early access but when I first installed it there was no problem I got my ship up to level 4 then my game just froze, after waiting about five minutes I powered down my laptop and powered it back up, I haven’t been able to load the game since, It may have messed up my steam account as now I can’t access steam or any of my other games from steam. ✓ Game OpinionI’ve been playing this game for about a year and a half now and I love it. My favorite parts is probably the fact that you don’t have to wait years to upgrade something like you do in clash of clans. Not to mention you have a steady supply of starbux, if you choose to watch ad blimps that is, (can be configured in game settings). I feel as though the combat system is unique and different and requires more thought than most other strategy games. I’ve read other reviews talking about hackers and glitches but to be honest I really haven’t seen any hackers and not many glitches. The wait time for constructing / upgrading is insane in my opinion, upgrading anything at this point will take upwards of 3-4 hours not to mention the wait time for a ship upgrade. ✓ Love This Game, Best Online Mobile Game I KnowI’ve been playing for over 3 years now and it is still my favorite mobile game. It’s easy to pick up and game progression is fast paced and non grindy. I have never seen such a generous time save from watching a single add. It brings a nice twist having the base as a mobile spaceship that you can build up to an impressively huge capital ship. As you level up the complexity of additional components keeps you challenged. There are always many strategies and configurations for you to choose. No two ships are identical. However it has one huge balancing issue currently which has cost it a star. As soon as the teleported is introduced it becomes the easiest and cheapest way to destroy enemy ships (from level 5 onwards). The teleporter itself isn’t the broken element, the entire boarding system is broken. Simplifying the issues: Enemy crew can walk past anyone and not get shot, enemy crew (attackers) get to shoot twice before the defending crew shoot, enemy crew can instantly teleport onto ships, enemy crew destroy rooms at least 5 times faster then any other ship weapons, there is no ai to tell friendly crew to target enemy boarders. It’s been an issue for a while now and there are many ways it could be balanced, starting with making crew fights trade shots. ✓ Amazing little, but big game.I never review mobile games because I don’t play them. However Pixel Starships has had me hooked since day 1, and I wish to carry on into the future as the game grows. ✓ Amazing gameThis game is great. From its wit to its simple but complex art style, and to its general charm, this game is just a great experience. It has those mobile game cliche - ‘wait 1 hour before task is completed’ or ‘wait 4 hours’ - moments, but I often find myself not even leaving the app to wait for the timers because I just enjoy playing it so much that I, without even knowing, find myself still playing it even when they finish. It’s very fun and there is a lot of content, and many ways to improve your ship. That being said there are quite a few stupid issues that can make the game frustrating and feel unfinished: - Random disconnects and restarts with weird error codes - Frequently matched up with 5500 trophy legend league players on offence and defence as a 2500 trophy player - Singleplayer campaign feels disconnected and lacking any sense of purpose - Bad crafting system with tons of premium currency ingredients, making it so the only way to get many good items is to pay money, watch 40 ads per day for $1.20 worth of currency, create alts or become a full time merchant on the market.Version: 0.985.2

✓ Game is pretty addictiveBeen playing this game for a solid 2 days and so far this is what I’ve got. Lvl4 ship :P Pros: - Early game is easy to progress. - Menu and shop are reasonably easy to navigate. - I have been getting some low-key Clash of Clans vibes but it’s a pretty unique game so still really enjoyable. Actually similar to a game called Faster Than Light that I played on PC a while back. Cons: - I don’t know if it is just because I’m an early level but getting loot from PVP is much easier than collecting it from resource mines available on the ship. I don’t know if this feature is aimed to encourage players to participate in missions and PVP, but it seems that mines on ships are somewhat redundant. - Elevator system was not explained in beginning so I was unsure at first but it was relatively easy to figure out after a few PVP matches. - I found the crew’s abilities and skills weren’t exactly made clear what they were and did, so an explanation of the crew’s traits would be appreciated and if they had specific tasks or rooms which they excelled at, that would be cool. (maybe I just haven’t looked into this enough). Despite the cons, this game is very fun and I appreciate that the creators have still made the game free to play! ✓ FTL with optionsFor those familiar with the old FTL game it’s basically that but with more options. You get to choose what rooms go where and assign crew to rooms to boost productivity and repair. Less praying for RNGesus to give you the best weapons / crew / events to build up and instead it’s more progressive. Similar combat style ship to ship with the added final fantasy feel to crew combat with more than just pummel till u have to run away. Still early stages but looking forward to higher level ship hull and options to see how strategic it becomes. The 8bit graphics are fun for the old-timey feel but would have liked more current generation rendering. ✓ Surprisingly a lot of funI never expect much from mobile games. I played a lot of Clash Of Clans and Mobile Warfare or whatever it’s called. Grindy games where you build out a settlement and send armies to fight PvP and PvE. I stopped both of those when I inexplicably couldn’t access my accounts after a phone upgrade years ago. My phone remained gameless for many years. Then… Instagram targeted an ad at me for this game and it was cool enough at first glance for me to download. I started playing and then I couldn’t stop. It’s pretty well thought out and I loved the space element. I don’t love the grind but I don’t hate it either. It’s got depth and a lot of different playstyles to choose from. Building a crew is a strategy in and of itself, the options are incredibly diverse and fun to learn. There is just a lot to unpack in this little game. Unlike other tower defense games your ability to bring the pain in PvP is not limited to your level. I have been taken to school by ships 3 lvls below me due to a stacked crew and maxed out, efficient rooms. If you got an ad for this and think it looks cool give it a try. Honestly I can barely put the game down. I love the game and I have loved seeing it progress.(aside from having my ship deleted a few times in the beginning and having to start over) One small issue I have is the upgrade times, six physical days is a very long time to wait just to get a few extra squares of space and a cooler looking ship. ✓ Great Unique GameIt’s a decent concept with decent execution. Ship l designing is fun, plus the concept of creating your own simple AI for other players to fight is amazing! The missions are an interesting way to do a sorta daily task type thing, but they can be a little boring at times. My biggest issue is that the time to build escalates very quickly. The price to build is fine the whole way through. I also wish that all the interesting stuff wasn’t only easily achievable through the special in game currency that every game has. It’s not incredibly difficult to get, but all the coolest stuff is way to expensive to ever hope to save for. The majority 99.9% of players won’t ever see any of it. I’m ranked something like 65,000 out of 5,500,000 players, and I certainly couldn’t ever hope to unlock the cool stuff. Anyways, most games are like that, so whatever. ✓ Pleasantly surprisedI kept getting ads for this game so eventually I broke and just downloaded it and wow, I was pleasantly surprised. Feels like a mix of FTL and Star Trek Trexels. It’s awesome to customize a ship and it’s free, use the programming system to make it an autonomous vessel of war, and create fleets and pool your resources to make a starbase. It does have its flaws, mainly building time. If you thought clash of clans had longboard building times wait until you play this. It took 1 week to upgrade from my class 7 to my class 8 starship. Definitely the biggest flaws. Would love some more depth in the PVP such as 2v2 or 3v3 along with sometime of fleet war similar to clan wars in clash. Another interesting mechanic is the market where you can list items for sale which helps with earning $ more rapidly. Very good game if you can overlook its flaws. 8/10.Version: 0.934

I probably spend about $100 total on the game and I played for months. When you reach the higher ranks, the game becomes impossible to do anything. Everyone else spends a thousand dollars i guess to have a crew of all legendary people or a full ship of zombies that board you and kills your whole crew. I probably win about 1 out of every 10 fights against lower tier enemies. Even if you manage to be successful somehow in combat, you better be prepared to wait a week before you can do anything while you upgrade vital parts of your ship. However once you reach a certain point your upgrades starts to take days to do which is fine, that’s understandable for a game of this type. It is only a problem when it is an essential component to my ship (shield etc.) where I cannot fight without it does it become a problem, because as you know once I upgrade my shield I’ll get in a couple battles and need to upgrade another component that when I’m without, leaves me vulnerable and unable to attack. So now the game consists of days of upgrading and little play time, I think if I am upgrading to level 5 I should be able to have my level 4 as it upgrades so I can keep playing the game, and not waiting days just to play a couple more battles before I upgrade again. ✓ My 1st multi player online gameThis was my first time playing online, interacting with other players. I am an older gamer, fortunately with disposable income. I was cluelessly roped into Vice Admiral of a fleet, right away, of very nice people but my only way to guide them was to advance by pay to play, (because I had no clue what I was doing so had to rush process to learn and instruct others aka a “whale” but with the intent to instruct lol). Happy to contribute to game/programmers blah etc etc. More so, Still enjoyed the camaraderie, awesome folks, later my fleet merged with great group when our original Admiral flaked on us. New group quickly Surpassed my limited guidance thank goodness. Then...A year later, I flaked. Regret it still. Awesome people. But I play video games because I am nonsocial. In the end it was too much pressure for me to keep up with “strangers/friends” a world away on a daily to weekly basis. How sad is that? ✓ More than meets the eyeSo Im not really a huge fan of strategy/turn based games (other than pokemon or less intricate final fantasy games). Im also not really a huge fan of pay to win games or mico-transactions (unless it’s just cosmetic). Nevertheless I decided to give the game a try anyways because it seemed pretty unique compared to other app games. I like this game a lot; it’s very well put together. I love the art style, and how intricate and deep the game really is. The pay to win/microtransaction aspect isn’t so bad as other games I’ve played, and it helps a tremendous deal that you’re not bombarded with ads. The PvE aspect caught me off guard, I expected the game to be just PvP. I hope that as time goes by they make the PvE more in depth. Maybe have more ship battles with npc’s that give good exp instead of solely relying on PvP and working out to lvl up your crew. One small thing though is that I kinda dont like that the factions are cosmetic only. In my opinion it doesn’t make sense that you can attack other players or even npc’s in the same faction as you. I think it would make the game more interesting if you could only attack players in different factions, or maybe give the factions unique traits other than looks. The developers do a good job, making updates, & adding new things. the storyline isn’t very engaging but if you get into a good fleet like one of the trek fleets that makes up for it.
