✓ Remote Management for Your Thermostats!The Ecobee Smart Thermostat works great. I have more than one thermostat and the Ecobee allows them to be managed through my iPhone via my wireless network. There's no need to go downstairs to adjust the temperature. I can just use the Ecobee app on my iPhone from the bedroom. I can even adjust the temperature from the car. ✓ Cool AppI use this app on my iPhone to control my Ecobee smart thermostat - which is cool. I think Ecobee should have adopted the iOS style interface instead of copying the interface from the actual thermostat (thus forcing landscape only operation). When in portrait switch up the UI! I also don't understand why an iPad version is missing, perhaps they just don't have the staff to support it yet. Overall it works well and I can control my thermostat from anywhere hence 4 stars instead of 3. Add portrait + cool stuff on iPad and get 5 stars..Version: 2.3.1

✓ Update - happy now, good support, install has now been sucessfulThis is an update on my earlier one-star review. After much troubleshooting end at my end for the install of the thermostat I finally received a replacement unit from Ecobee and the installation this time worked without any problems. The app works well for me, in particular after changing the "Hold Action" setting in the online settings to "Ask Me" - this makes setting the hold temp with app much easier when away for either a few hours or until the next weekend. The app still seems to have the flaw that when the thermostat has no online connection, it keeps displaying the last known temperature. It does not indicate that the thermostat is off-line. So you think everything is okay, when in fact something can be wrong. I hope that this will be fixed with the next Ecobee app release, as the online report does show the status properly as connected or disconnected..Version: 1.2
✓ The real dealI've searched for years to find a true wifi-enabled thermostat that can be accessed from the web. I now own two Ecobees and absolutely love them. The release of this iPhone app seals the deal and makes Ecobee a "must have" device if you are even remotely concerned about your eco footprint (or monthly utility bills). ✓ Great addition to the web portalThe Iphone app is a great addition to the very useful web portal for programming the ECOBEE thermostat. I have installed 3 ECOBEE termostats and found the app to be great to monitor the temperatures at home and to do temperature adjustments "on the fly". Fan control could be a little clearer and easier to use. Some connectivity problems but no more than other apps - definitely not a show stopper and would recommend the thermostats and the app..Version: 2.2
✓ Good programLove this thermostat and use the web app often. App works great, much better than honeywell redlink equipment. I should also state that I work for an authorized ecobee distributor who is also a distributor for honeywell. I have both systems in my home. This app does however need to be updated to use the smart plug modules. The modules are great and i have one of the beta modules. Please give us module support with the apps!.Version: 2.2.1

✓ Love Ecobee, but the app needs workThe ecobee provides several conveniences and money saving options. It's been working great for us. As someone who works from a home office, my schedule changes daily. This gives me the convenience of adjusting the thermostat for days I'm on the road and for days I'm in the office all day. There are several limitations to this app that I think could be improved upon (which is why I gave it four stars). ✓ Ecobee thermostatIt is great. I can program the furnace fan to operate a number of minutes per hour to move the fireplace heat around, 30 minutes per hour keeps the house very comfy. You can program the system to send emails if hot or cold thresholds are met, my insurance rep thought it may save on insurance because it would let me know if the furnace had failed and save on frozen pipes, something fire alarms cannot do..Version: 0

✓ Great AppI chose the ecobee thermostat when I had my geothermal heat pump installed a couple months ago. One of the main reasons I picked the ecobee was on the promise of the iPhone App. They really nailed it. This is the fastest app I have, especially considering that it needs to link up with my thermostat, or at least with their servers, I'm not sure which. I give the app 4 stars instead of 5 because the display lacks the indicator that the system is presently running, like the actual thermostat does. ✓ Best Thermostat on MarketWhomever wrote the bad reviews either does not know how to install a thermostat, has bad internet or router, or does not know how to use an iPhone. We are the onsite team for Apple and have three of these ourselves and have recommended them to many people. We have only ONCE had an issue. It was a denial of service attack from ecobee. Shortly afterwards, the CEO sent out an apology email. Also they are very quick at updating firmware which they do remotely. It is flawless and even emailed our HVAC TECH to schedule our maintenance..Version: 1.3

✓ Landlords rejoice!I own several rental properties and have recently installed an ecobee in each property. I tested in one and was very impressed. Log reports and alerts add the extra piece of mind I needed and the value is great. Being able to open all my properties on one app and control them is great! ✓ Great thermostat and app!It's really unfortunate that so many people give this app one-star reviews because they don't have the thermostat to try it out on. We just got the thermostat installed last week, and this app makes it very easy to adjust the temperature from upstairs or from work. It does everything the thermostat itself does except for letting you view a report graph and setting up the programming schedule -- I hope these get added in a future release..Version: 0

✓ Beefreak - you can set how long a manual input is held; satellite internet is a problemBeefreak - we have a similar situation. Note that on the ecobee itself (not on the app) you can select how long an override stays active when in program mode. I suggest you select 'indefinite'...that way the system won't revert back to schedule (and allow your place to cool down) until you next select program mode. Hope this helps. Everyone else - we use hugesnet satellite for internet, which apparently doesn't push information from the ecobee thermostat to the ecobee servers very frequently. As such, if you log on remotely before the thermostat uploads its settings, wifi turns off and you have no control over your thermostat unless you reset it. I'm working with ecobee and hughesnet for a workaround, ecobee is aware that their system is a bit clunky if you are using satellite..Version: 0

Recently, I have been unable to connect to the server - as others have commented in this list of reviews. I contacted Ecobee Technical Support.
