✓ Nice, but full version needs universalNo way I'm paying twice for the same app to get it on iPhone and iPad. C'mon at least make the iPad version universal and keep the price a bit higher than standard version... call it Shredder HD or something. ✓ Shredder Lite not so lightFantastic free program that works well with the latest OS update. Love the 100 puzzles and being able to spar with a formidable opponent. The evaluation isn't always accurate and there is an elo strength limit of 1500 for the free version. However it's free and the pluses definitely outweigh the negatives. ✓ Very nice Chess game...lite version only goes to 1500 EloShredder Lite is said to act and perform just as the full version, which it does appear to do. I have Fritz Chess and wanted to try Shredder, so this lite version was the perfect way to try it without spending $9.99. I must say I really like Shredder Chess. One thing I like that Fritz doesn't have (yet) it the scoreing meter. This meter lets me know how I am doing and if I am moving ahead or behind. One thing you should know before you buy it (even though it is only $0.99) is that it only goes up to 1500 Elo. And, if you have Fritz, let it be known that 1500 Elo on Shredder is not the same as 1500 Elo on Fritz. I thought 1500 Elo should be 1500 Elo regardless of program - I thought it was some type of universally standard measurement. Let me tell you, 1500 Elo on Shredder is like the 500 to 700 level on Fritz. Fritz is supposedly working on an update and maybe they will address many of these issues. Nevertheless, if you wanted to try Shredder w/o giving up your $10 first, this is a good way to do it. Personally I think it is a wonderful program and the lite version demonstrates that without being watered down (unless you play well over 1500 Elo level). Oh, by the way, the lite version will auto adjust its playing level so it will closely match your playing strenght - this makes playing against the computer so much more fun..Version: 0

✓ Explanations?I've only had this app for a few days but I already know it's my favorite chess app. I'm thinking I will buy the full version. The only thing that bothers me is that there's no explanations behind the puzzle solutions. Being the extremely low-level beginner I am, I find that a lot of the "best possible moves" don't look like the best, and I would really like to know why they are so I can actually improve my skills instead of randomly guessing until I get it right.
