✓ Opens for a few seconds then crashesI bought this app and have managed to get it to work once only. It opens for about 3 seconds and then crashes. I deleted it and tried to download again with the same result. I've tried to get support from the Kdan website, but that doesn't seem to work either. I'd like it to work, it wasn't hugely expensive, but it wasn't cheap either..Version: 1.7

✓ ScammedIt seems as though the name of the app misrepresents itself. I would have thought a pocket scanner would work from the camera and turn that into a PDF doc. I usually pride myself with my tech abilities, but here... This app is not very user friendly... I went to the instruction manual, &, of course, the section for scanning states "null" and the page with the camera logo is blank, nothing in the bottom as it is supposed to be.. How do I use this app? Obviously it is working for some people here... Maybe an older version with updates? Maybe my iphone didn't download all of it? (I have the latest iphone) Who knows... What you get for a buck..Version: 0

✓ OkAll it does is use your camera to take a pic and turn it into a PDF file. Maybe I had the wrong impression, but I thought I might be able to scan things in real size, like with a scanner (hence the name "Pocket Scanner") but that's not what it does. Sure, it's kind of useful if you want to send a PDF file of a document, but you can't really see small print or anything like that on a document since you take a pic of the whole doc and it's the size of a pic instead of being the size of a doc. It's an ok app but I wouldn't purchase it if I had known what it actually does..Version: 0

✓ This is a bad photo app with a so so PDF reader.I was very disappointed, taking photos with camera+ could get me better quality image. I thought the whole point is better image with smart crop. But no, u need to take photo, adjust it urself with some useless tools. And save them one by one. Waste of time. Plus, bugs all over the place. Used 10 mins crashed few time, can't even open a one page PDF from email without crashing. Unbelievable. and if u thought u can take a photo make it PDF and select text and paste it. No, doesn't do that. It stays as image. So in conclusion, this is a bad photo app with a so so PDF reader. Developer, please improve the image process function, if it's the same as the build in camera, then why should u call it a scanner???.Version: 1.5.1

✓ Not as good as CamScannerI wasted about 30 minutes scanning a 60 page document and it couldn't export it to PDF (kept crashing). It was pretty good up to that point. It shows you how many pages it has currently scanned which is helpful. I ended up using CamScanner, however and it did it without any problems. I like how CamScanner shows you the page it previously just scanned..Version: 2.2.1

✓ Awful, wretched, don't buyI tried out a variety of multi page scanners, this is by far the worst. It requires you sign up with an email and use their cloud service which if you want more space requires a monthly fee. When scanning your document, the edge finding technology is wretched. It bounces through a variety of closeups of the page before finally setting on the document itself. The picture quality is atrocious. Very blurry. Most other scanners offer a whiteout option to clean up the document. This one does not. What it does offer is a few quite awful photo editing options, most of which either completely black out or white out the image. You're better off sticking with scantify or office lens. Definitely not worth the $2.99. This is probably my worst App Store purchase, wish I could get my money back..Version: 2.2.3

✓ Not up to it's own hypeSo, I bought this app after seeing it featured on Sugarsync's enabled app list. I already own JotNot Pro and I've used Scanner Pro quite a bit on my g/f's phone. Pros: * A lot of different corrective filters, which could be useful for improving PDF quality * Some fair advanced PDF processing options, including the ability to retrieve files from online services and the web. Cons: * The actual process of creating PDFs from photos is cumbersome. You have to take the picture from a section of the main menu, then covert it, then go into another section to work with the converted PDF. Lots of tapping. * Uploading to cloud services is a weird, copy -> open service -> paste sequence. * There is no stabilizer on the camera. There's also no way to turn on the flash if you need it * Document edge detection is subpar compared to other products, and manually selection of the edges is made harder by the fact that the image doesn't zoom while you adjust. * It struggles with some WebDav servers Recommendation: pass. Go buy JotNot Pro or Scanner Pro..Version: 1.8

✓ PocketScanSorry to criticize, but PocketScan is a rip-off because it basically uses what your iPhone could do fresh out of the box with no apps installed. It "scans" by using your camera, which you already have. It doesn't even pretend that it is doing something special; it just utilizes your camera and photographs the document. It also takes in photos from your photos folder. Wow. You can adjust the brightness, which you can do anyway. And you can email your "scanned" document. All you are doing is emailing a photo. This app is really just a package of a small number of things you already have. It does NOTHING extra. It seems almost dishonest. Do not buy this app. Just use your iPhone camera to photograph.Version: 1.5.1
