✓ UmThe way the pen draws (specifically in rotoscoping) is very bad, and not smooth at all. also, the zoom is not good. the only really good thing is that there's rotoscoping, which doesn't work that well (maybe because i'm using an iphone). i wish it was smoother, and i wish the pen sizes could be smaller, smoother, and just all over easier to work with.🌟💕✌Version: 1.2

✓ Laggy and buggyIt’s a slog to use and feels clunky. You’ll be drawing a line and have it take a split second for it to register. Flipping between panels isn’t all that great either, It keeps getting stuck between the first and second panel when trying to click on panel 1. A prompt keeps popping up to tell me something about my apple pencil and then disappears before I can even read whatever non-issue I have. It’s a serviceable animation application, honestly it’s probably the best one on IPad, but it is in serious need of patches and work before it would even be remotely worth $20..EvameizVersion: 4.1.3

✓ It's okIt's ok. Would be nice to set the resolution. Export to any cloud options, such as google drive, Dropbox or whatever the user wants. Would be amazing to have the undo in a position that allows to have one hand for drawing and the other to undo, so probably have this on the sidebar or able to add to the sidebar. Select and copy multiple frames feature would be nice at the moment we can only select one at the time. More layers. More drawing tools and no pen tip size restrictions, currently some have a minimal size set to whatever the developer decided is best for everybody... There's this cloud service that is related with the company that supports this app and some non related apps for PDF etc, a bit annoying and not related with animation or drawing at all, but it's part of the interface. ✓ Good idea, bad execution. Not recommended.I see the good intentions behind the app, we have layers, onion skin, a flippantly timeline. Lots of potential. The disappointment happens when we start animating. - copy/paste system is super bureaucratic, it is very easy to lose your selection. One extra button to “stamp” a selection is a bad idea. Please make it more like the industry standard (photoshop, Toonboom, procreate). - the timeline flipping slides too much, it is too hard to flip quickly between drawings and stop at one specific frame. The moment I touch the pen on a drawing it should lock on that frame. - flipping between frames is laggy, it should be real time (iPad Pro 2019) - the brush has no stabilizer, lines often get super jaggy - palm detection doesn’t work, my hands are constantly drawing little lines on the corners of the frame. That doesn’t happen on procreate. - playback often stops working and only plays half of the animation - frames randomly disappear, this is a very irritating glitch. The autosaving system makes everything worse. - it is impossible to copy one frame from one project to another project. - when I try to alternate between the selection tool and the brush tool it keeps opening the brushes menu - onion skin colour scheme is the opposite of every other software in the industry. Green should be next frame, red previous frame. Subverting that was an awful idea. At least let the user change the colour scheme. - please add an option to temporarily move and overlap the drawings using the light table pins on the interface. It is an essential move for inbetweening. - the ‘undo’ system is not reliable. Please let me undo steps like deleting an entire layer. - I couldn’t find a way to delete multiple frames with one command. - when I start drawing a line outside the canvas to the center of the screen the software doesn’t register it..Joao CardolettoVersion: 4.1.3

✓ Huge potential, but disappointingGreat interface for traditional animation mired by poor drawing tools. Important clean-up process is made difficult if not impossible as consequence. Lines drawn are extremely jagged/pixelated with any given tool (Don’t look at me! I am an atelier-trained artist with a very steady hand). The actual pixel resolution of the frames and stage themselves outside of their general proportions (4:4 / 16:9) is a mystery. It’s okay for (very) rough pencil tests and is suitably inexpensive, but it could use a better brush engine, and perhaps vector layers among other things. Looking forward to seeing the developers take this software further; if they research and steal from their competition a little more this could be an incredible tool..VonkaiserVersion: 2.3

✓ Its alright but a few complaintsI like the idea and the program but the fill tool is a bit clunky because it auto fills everything instead make it like adobe illustrator draw where you hold it and if the shapes arent connected and closed they can’t be filled and this app is confusing to work with. The videos provided are confusing to say the least. Also another gripe I had with it are the brushes they aren’t plentiful enough in opinion.I also feel there should be more brush customization. Ex. ✓ Premium No Longer - HARD PASSThis was previously a premium app that you could buy. Now, though, it’s chock full of in-app purchases and subscriptions. Literally zero difference from the free, standard version. Disgusting and shameful. There are tons of better premium animation apps available on the App Store - Folioscope, Animation Creator (the premium version), Flipaklip, etc. I see no reason at all to rent this app and waste money every month on it, when there are so many better options available for one single price each. ✓ Can’t color and shade + Zooming out + Can’t draw on the whole thingSo, on this app I can’t color or shade. Let me explain. I want to color and shade with color on my character. But, when I use the bucket tool on the layer 2 (the layer before layer 1 which is the layer my character is on), it treats it like a background. So I have no choice but to use the bucket tool on layer 1. Here’s the problem to that: When I want to shade with color, I can’t shade on layer one because I already have the line work on there so the color will go over the line work. But I can’t go on layer two because it will go underneath. I also can’t duplicate the frames. Now here’s where the zooming out is pretty broken/stupid. I zoom out to 100% and I can’t move the frame left or right so I’m basically stuck in one place to draw. I can’t flip it upside down, twist it, turn, etc. Also, you can’t color to the bottom. I tried to draw a line from top to the bottom, but it won’t let me with ANY brush. The only way you can do it is if you zoom in 500% Please help..Barbie Man 9,000Version: 3.7

✓ I can’t figure out how to use itNone of the controls are labeled, there are no tutorial about how to creat a new animation, I apparently cannot create a new story board at all. I feel like I wasted my money because I can’t figure out how to use the app. I tried to google instructions but the demos are not the controls that I see within the app and I don’t know how to get to those controls. What a complete waste of money. It took me like 20 minutes to figure out how to use onion skin to guide the next frame but then the color got darker over the previous drawing. ✓ I’ve had to deduct a starMy initial review of this app was pretty favorable, but as I work through it more, I realize that there are a few points that keep me from loving this as a five-star app. It would be nice to see some features implemented into future iterations: 1) Brushes and eraser that can keep up with strokes. Currently there’s some SERIOUS lag, and I sometimes have to pause my workflow until the strokes catch up. 2) The ability to rotate the canvas; currently you must rotate the iPad at various angles to draw comfortably. Most drawing apps already include the ability to rotate the canvas. 3) The ability to flip between key (tagged) frames. 4) The tool bar should be widened to accommodate the brushes and the layers on the same bar without having to swipe across from one to the other. ✓ More and more broken with every update.While animation desk is very useful, user friendly and capable, with every update it gets more and more broken until the point where you’re basically ready to break down in to tears. Nothing is debilitating quite like putting hours into a project, only for it to become irreparably damaged upon export. There was an update yesterday that supposedly addressed these issues, but now frames are becoming more jumbled than they already were, and deleting frames that took hours to draw.
