✓ Not worth the priceI'm a game developer myself so I generally don't like to be too critical of the work others have done because I know how hard it is, but, after finishing and absolutely loving Kingdom Rush, I went looking for another tower defense game for my iPad and found Fieldrunners. Based on its rave reviews I payed the high price tag, started it up, and instantly found myself bored. Kingdom Rush is not only a vastly superior game but it's also a fraction of the price. ✓ No real benefit/differenceI already have the iPhone version running on my iPad, but I bought this one as well. As many reviews have said, there is no real difference apart from the higher resolution. If fact, the iPhone version is a bit easier to use on the iPad because it's buttons and text show up larger on the screen. I would recommend not buying this version until the developers release some additional functionality/content for it that justifies the extra purchase..Version: 0
✓ If only it workedI was so excited when I saw this update was available. Been waiting for new maps since the iPad came out. The first new map was fine. Completed it in 15 minutes. But that's where the joy ended. Every time I try the second map mudslide I press play and the music starts to stutter and it crashes. Then you reboot and try to start from a save game. ✓ Do not support subatomic by buying this lie!!!Please do yourself a favor and support another developer, subatomic studio developers are the biggest liars for the iPad so far, the game was good two years ago, on the original iPhone, now it's just a joke, these developers claimed more was coming but after two years nothing about the game has changed, it shows that these developers were one hit wonders, and that's all. They came out with a good TD years ago, but it's obvious they have no more imagination, or skill to even deliver a complete version of the original on the iPad. It's sad that a game as fun as this had to be developed by amateurs with absolutely no ambition or real skill, so now it's been abandoned because the developers at subatomic have nothing left as far as skill and know how, I really wish I never supported this game, but if you never played the iPhone version I would just buy that one and play it in x2 because it's exactly the same game, plus you can actually complete the game, this iPad version is incomplete, you can't even play past half way, then it just go's back to menu, it doesn't crash, there is just no levels after 6 even though it should, but don't waist your money, it's the biggest rip of from a iPad developer yet..Version: 0

✓ New update extremely disappointingAbsolutely loved playing this game on my iPad Pro, but the new update means there is a white frame of an inch wide all around, reducing the playing area by approximately a third. Really not happy! UPDATE; now it doesn't work at all! When I click to open the game I'm taken straight back to the home page. ✓ Crashed on me too...Just wanted to confirm, like many other reviews, the application crashes when you save a game and resume the game. Resume game started the game up but crashed shortly thereafter. Just bought the iPad, installed Fieldrunners because it is my favorite iTouch game, very disappointed in the stability of the application relative to the cost. It really tarnishes what was once a great game. I'll update my rating if they can come out with a timely update that will fix this game's bugs. UPDATE: I just tried launching the application and now it crashes on startup. I see the Subatomic Studios credit and then it sends me back to my desktop. ✓ Not worth the waitWhat a let down this game is. Graphics are disappointing and the game is so very S...L...O...W to load, really what could it be possibly doing that takes so long?!? ✓ Great game. Mediocre execution. Terrible support.A relatively expensive game for what is essentially 8 levels. That said, there is hidden depth within the game, and each level is varied and requires different strategy. Graphics are acceptable, if not exciting. Overall, a good challenging game. Gameplay is solid although slightly unbalanced (a reoccurring problem with each tweak). Menus are not well designed. To find which levels/difficulty you have completed, you need to start a new game and enter the list of in-game achievements (some of which do not unlock). Game Centre achievements do not register at all. A problem which the developers have been made aware of daily for over a year now. With a little more effort from the developers, this could easily be a five star rating. As it is, I likely won't purchase any of their future apps..Version: 1.1.4

✓ TerribleI purchased this app after hearing many great reviews, but the big problem is that the game USED to work properly. After spending my $7.99 for this game I found out the latest version is filled with bugs. The game constantly crashes and if u are lucky enough for it not to crash the current version does not record any of your achievements. If you are considering purchasing this game I would wait until the bugs have been fixed. If you visit their support forum, the team doesn't really seem to responding to users asking for help anymore. They recently released an update saying it fixed stability issues but I have not noticed anything that has been fixed. When you pay this much for an app you should be able to expect a certain level of support for the product, but they haven't really fixed or even addressed any of these major problems. ✓ Crashes on Skyway every time.I was enjoying this game a great deal, until it broke. This is a very common occurrence, judging from various forum postings, and one that has gone unanswered by the developers. Basically you try to start the Skyway level and the app crashes out, EVERY time. I've tried reinstalling the game, rebooting the iPad, etc, nothing works. No response from the developers. The only restitution I have heard of is to email iTunes support and they will refund you for the broken application. ✓ Will not install app / app missing!I purchased and started the install for the game on my 3G connection, and received an error message that I needed to connect to WIFI or connect to my computer. I connected it to WIFI and then it said it could not install and to connect it to the computer. I connected it to my computer though iTunes, but now the app wants me to purchase it again! I noticed the "If you need support, please visit Fieldrunners for iPad Support" link in the top right hand corner as I am posting this message. The site support is by way of forum posts, and makes you sign on to their site. Their forum is riddled with iPhone 4 sales and has little moderation. One of the best things about the iPad is the instant gratification of your purchase. I guess I will need to wait for someone to respond to this post. In summary ..... ✓ An old game I still play.Assorted creeps come out of the opening, and run into your fort. You must kill them. You aren't allowed to block the path, you must just damage them enough to kill them. You can build a maze with your towers so they have to run around long enough that you have a chance to kill them. You can use goo towers to slow them down (except for the goo-resistant creeps), and assorted direct damage and area affect towers to kill them. The creeps have airplanes, helicopters, and assorted vehicles to try to make it thru. This was the first "must have" game for the iPhone. The iPad version is exactly the same game, just scaled up to the screen size of the iPad. The graphics are improved for the iPad all around, units towers and explosions. The iPad version also comes with the 4th and 5th maps, where on the iPhone you have to buy them as DLC. At first, I couldn't load the 4th map, but powering the iPad off and turning it on again fixed that. (A common fix for many apps that don't work right at first.) If you own the iPhone version, that version looks fine on the iPad with the X2 button, just not as crisp. If you don't own the iPhone version, this is probably still a "must have"..Version: 0

✓ OKI have the same problem as Beagadore(below). Whenever i click on the app it starts the "SUBATOMIC STUDIOS" screen and then crashes back to my home screen.
