Skeleton System Pro III for Negative User Reviews

Re: QuizThe drag and drop quiz, upon correcting mistakes, switches screen much too quickly. Quizzes are a great way to learn, but you can't learn if you don't have a chance to correct the mistake or see the names. As a reference tool then, yes this app is all that, but for learning via quiz taking, it's not the most effective. P.s. the interphalangeal joint of the thumb in the quiz appears on the pinky.Version: 3.1

Poor quality + functionalityI really expected this to have higher resolution Images but instead they are grainy and impossible to manipulate. The drawing tool malfunctions as well. Save your money..Version: 3.8.3

Annoying IconThe developers gave this app an oversized name that appears as "Skeleto...ro III" on my iPad. There is really no excuse for not abbreviating the app name to something tidy that fits and doesn't ugly up your device. This app is expensive enough without having to pay twice to get it on both my iPad and iPhone. The price would have worth it otherwise..Version: 3.2

NurseApp continuously freezes, slow navigation to body areas not conducive to pt teaching. Not worth the money.Version: 1.4

Really not bad...It's a nice app. Some good info. However if your studying the spine And are hoping to see the ligaments... No such luck. Great for reviewing before a quiz or test. Not bad for shoulders and the graphics are very nice..Version: 2.3

TonyBought for educational purposes. Cool app but way too expensive. Worth more like $10 tops..Version: 2.2

Basic Introduction to AnatomyThis is an ok app. I have the 3D muscle app and the skeletal app is a letdown in comparison. The bony landmarks are not all there. If you are a medical student, this app won't get you far in your studies. If you are in high school, this app might be OK for an introduction to anatomy. On this plus side, the skeleton is accurate and gives you a good feel for the bones. Being able to rotate is a plus. The ligaments available are only shown on one angle but it's another plus. If there were more bony landmarks available, I would rate this app five stars..Version: 0

Stability IssuesThe app has crashed 5/6 times attempting to use it. I think the application is a great app if the stability issues can be addressed. I'm greatly looking forward to an update which addresses the issues I've experienced and the stability issues that other users seem to have. I really wish I could spend more time using the application. I'm a PA student and am on rotations. I could use this application for self study or patient education…it just doesn't work long enough for it to be useful. Outside of the stability issues, the only issue I have with the application is that the image resolution is sized for the zoomed out view. If you zoom in, the images look dull. These issues need to fixed desperately. I would consider purchasing other applications by 3D4Medical, but not until I see that these issues are addressed. I say that because these programs look very well put together and would definitely be worth the price…if they would work and have the appropriate resolution..Version: 2.4

Hello? iOS 11 on Sept 19th, but app still needs update to run! This is a great app that I paid a lot of money for, but it will not run on iOS 11 if it does not receive an update by the app developer!.Version: 3.8

Neat, but not all-inclusive and not a useful resource for anatomy studentsI downloaded this program to use for assistance for an Anatomy and Physiology lab practical. A fair amount of times I couldn't even use this as a reference because those anatomical landmarks/sights that I needed to learn weren't available on this. In particular; most of the skeleton cannot be disassembled, so when it came to the cranium, or the rib cage, you're out of luck if you want to break it down even further than the entire section. And if you're an anatomy student, you need to. So on the graphics front, it was cool to be able to rotate sections of the bodies and in particular, the view with skin was impressive - allowing insight into how the glove we call skin and the other skeletal regions fit together with the bones you're looking at. The zoom feature gave magnification, but it wasn't detailed enough to give enhanced clarity of where things are located or the view that you'd expect in actuality. Summary: Impressive? Yes A great reference? No The rating is based on the price, which is the highest price I've paid and one of the highest I've seen for an app..Version: 0

Not as good as it could beThe idea behind this app is good, but I thought it would be a lot more comprehensive about different bone features, especially for how much it costs. Plus, rotating the bones can't be kind of difficult and annoying, and you can't see the inside of the skull..Version: 0

Good but...So guys! Really like the app, I'm studying to be a forensic anthropologist and the skeleton is my best friend. But, some issue is have. The skull is my biggest complaint. You are lacking many features on the bones, also the skull is made up of several different bones, each of which should be able to be seen in a disarticulated view. How is one supposed to study and demonstrate a sphenoid, ethmoid, maxilla, etc if all you can see of them is small views then what's the point?.Version: 2.3

Fancy but limitedGraphically beautiful. But very limited. Only a few angles possible to view only certain body parts. Can't even view the pelvis on its own. Very frustrating for, even a beginner medical student like me. It basically is a few images cleverly linked together in a 3D model I paid more than twenty pounds for that and feel I have been ripped off..Version: 2.2

I can't work with this appThey need to be more choices on the test side of things, I am learning sport therapy, and I played better apps then this. When learn the test they need to allow more selections and cover small areas at a time, would maker it easier to taken things in when learning. it only give you a little time to choose your choice of answer, if you don't it tell you the answer.Version: 3.8

No updates for > yearThis app and its series seems to have been abandoned by 3D4. They seem to be heading towards subscriptions model..Version: 3.8

3 stars because...It's a good app, educational of course. But I would like to see in the up coming update would be the ability to have customized quizzes, also the ability to rotate the selected bone structure AFTER you cut it in half. It's very frustrating only being able to zoom in and out after partitioning selected bone structure. Other than that, The app is great for in class use if rotation of partitioned segments are not required. PLEASE INCLUDE THESE IN UPDATE!! Ps. My mistake you are able to customize quizzes, however you should be able to ad as many questions as you'd like rather than just 12 at a time..Version: 3.2

ALMOST great for health studentsThis app has many bony landmarks and are able to isolate individual bones but... Not that great for studying/ testing oneself. Wish I could determine the landmarks individually myself and the individual bones that I wanted to be tested on. Essential skeleton let you touch a bone and it told you what it was. NOT HERE it's all pins... Which disappear if you try to rotate the skeleton. It's the best app out there that I've tried but still has a way to go..Version: 3.7

A little disappointedIn the context of a medical student, this app is very interactive but falls short when detailed structured such as foramens of the skull are needed. It would also be great if some of the structures that can be seen are labeled. I would finally love to be able to cut the specimen at more levels than just the coronal ad saggital sections available. Overall I'm a little disappointed that I purchased this app but I can see its potential. I focused on the major negatives for me because there are so many reviews about the positives..Version: 3.3

Not the bestIt’s okay, there are lots of details on bone features but it would be more useful if they actually labelled the bones by their names (e.g. scapula rather than shoulder), therefore you need to already know the skeletal system to use this app, which doesn’t seem worth the almost $14. Furthermore the moving of the skeleton to view it from different angles is pretty glitchy and blurry..Version: 3.8.2

Can’t use with ios11Really I’ve been using the app for years and now that I’ve got the new update I can’t use it. Update please.Version: 3.8

Not worth the moneyI'm a beginner, but spotted incorrect information on a quiz (metatarsal for metacarpal), unforgivable when paying so much. Also, wish the controls were more intuitive instead of having it zoom out all the way before zooming back in to the same area. Spend your money on a more affordable app.... Doesn't even include all the information I need to know for my basic A&P class..Version: 0

Needs updatePlease update this app.Version: 3.8

Missing detailsThe clavicle details are missing, unless we type the names we are looking for. THAT DOES DEFEAT THE PURPOSE.Version: 3.8.2

App problemsI bought this app for my IPad to use with patients. The app keeps closing when the screen is touched which is very frustrating. It makes it Impossible to use on any type of a consistent basis. Although I love the clarity of the app, I would not buy another application until this problem is fixed..Version: 3.1

Its OKAY....The navigation needs some work. Like when I was viewing the Pectoral girdle it was very hard to view the Sternal end of the clavicle. The only way to view it was medially. I think a good idea would to be able to "pull out a specific bone" so you can isolate it and view it however you want..Version: 3.3

Good butIts a very nice designed app, great features but i really dont like when im taking a quiz it goes real close up and turns it around all different ways. Im only in A&P 1 now so im not that familiar with everything just yet. I think there should be an option if you want it as close in detailed as it takes you now. Hope you consider this change. Thank you.Version: 2.3

Skeletal System Pro for iPadThis app gives the impression that it is a 3D experience. This is false! It is only a series of rendered images from front, side and back,, with close up options. There is NO 3D dynamic rendering. Unless you're revising for a medical exam it is a COMPLETE waste of money. It is a sham! Worst thing is I bought the whole series for my kids, what a waste..Version: 0

PoorThe graphics are good but the language is poor instead of scapula they used shoulder, for medial they use R. Lateral. When you are looking at the left humerus in anterior view and you switch to posterior view in the skeleton it switches from the left to the right bone. It's acceptable if your just getting it for interest but if you are studying bones it is inadequate..Version: 2.4
