✓ Modern implementation of Ignition from the 90'sThis games is simply superb and similar to a game called Ignition from the 90's. The car handling is great fun, and with short but interesting tracks it's easy to pick this game up and enjoy. Impossible to give it anything other than 5 stars really .... ✓ Consistent pricingJust paid £2.99 for this the other week, not impressed and thus it loses a star. The game itself is very playable and will provide a good few hours of excellent gameplay with fun driving physics. In my opinion reckless racing is slightly superior to the similar death rally, although racing fans could easily justify the purchase of both games, with both being brilliant top down racers. At £0.59 do not hesitate to give this a try, you will not be disappointed..Version: 1.3.0
✓ Just Brilliant!I think that this is just about as good a game as you could possibly make in this style. The top down view has been enhanced to include some camera tracking which is very cool, and the blend of Tarmac, dirt, gravel, and ice make for really great variation. The races are good, but the online leader board and challenging yourself to get in the top 1000 or even 500 have kept me hooked day after day. I would conceivably change only two things, to have cars that performed marginally better or worse on different tracks, and the ability to search for my friends best times so I could race them offline so to speak, and then trash talk them when I knew I had just beaten them. This is surely one of the top iOS games, and reminds me of the classic Super sprint, but about 10,000 times better. Big up to the developers, you have my vote!.Version: 1.3.0

This is by far the best app I have seen graphically and is the most fun I have played, and yes that includes angry birds. ✓ Reckless fun!!!!Coming from the same top down viewpoint from classics like Super Sprint/Micro Machines/Super Cars this is a great little racer. There are lots of control setups till u find the one best for you......I would like the option to position them onscreen though like a lot of other popular titles. Graphically it's superb, there are tons of detail in the tracks and the vehicles are animated really well too. The whole game has a charm of it's own. Sound is good although more tunes or the use of your iPod library would be good. Also if there were power ups like turbos etc it would add a lot of variety to the game and boost it's longevity......although I don't know if it would be as balanced? ✓ Good game but please amend the control positionVery good game but can I ask that the developers add an option to move the controls. It's quite awkward trying to hold the iPad and use the controls at the bottom corners. I use the standard controls but I really would like the option to move the control buttons further up the page. It would make the iPad a lot easier to hold while playing. ✓ A ClassicThis is a classic racer, I haven't had this much fun since the original Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo. It has the perfect balance of being easy to learn, but hard to master. The hillbilly theme, the characters and music are perfectly suited - the devs nailed the concept. The graphics are pure eye candy. The tracks are expertly designed, and the mechanics and physics are great. There are many subtleties which bring the game to life, from little sounds like your suspension buckling as you go over a bump to the sunshine filtering in through the tress, which all add up to make the gameplay more immersive. My only minor critisicsm is that the a.i. on the gold difficulty could be a little harder, as its too easy to beat....but it doesnt really matter as its the online multiplayer that keeps you coming back for more, and more...and more. Other reviews say there isn't enough tracks, and I agree somewhat, a new track every few months would be a nice addition, and I would happily pay per track...however I think the devs are working on Reckless Racing 2, so thats fair enough imo. There could be a couple more music tracks...the ones that are there are awesomely deliverance-y and superb, but they do get a tad repetitive. I would also like to see a few more jumps and high risk, high reward shortcuts. I don't leave many reviews, but this is a standout game, a classic imo.... and I can't recommend it enough..Version: 1.3.0

The graphical detail is superb, is worth pausing the game from time to time to admire the scenery. I do find the odd frame drop but I guess this is to be expected with this level of high detail. Within options you can configure the control settings to suit any situation. I am currently using tilt with auto gas and the brake on the righthand side of the screen to dab going into corners. Dont be put off bu it being a top down racer. There is an amazing amount of 3D gone into this game making you feel you view it from a helicopter pospective. 5 stars, let this be the benchmark for future games..Version: 0

Plays very much like a much improved version of the old arcade favourite 'Super Off Road' - Trying to beat your own times in the ghost racing alone is reason enough to own this great game , with the other modes just the icing on the cake ! The controls have lots of custom options so you'll find one that suits you easily , more impressive than the good graphics is the way the cars handle ..... they just feel right - slip slidey enough to be fun but not cause frustration . ✓ The most played game on my iPad (and IThis is the best top down racing game I've played on any platform, the graphics are stunning and the gameplay lives up to the way it looks! I've had hours of entertainment playing reckless racing and I liked it so much I bought it for the iphone was well as the ipad. The controls are great, there are several ways to control the car and lots of options configure the controls. The physics of the car handling have been well implemented and with the recent update there are lots of tracks and a great selection of cars to keep you entertained. The graphics are extremely detailed, good sound and some of the best and most customizable controls for a car driving game I have seen on iOS. Tracks are maybe just a little short. Once you see the amount of detail you will understand why though. Lack of local multiplayer or the ability to create a private game on the Internet is a bit of a downer as well. ✓ Racing Gears!!While not being desperately original of course (ie, Ironman Stewart, Super Sprint, Micro Machines and Racing Gears.... the hidden gem of the GBA) Reckless Racing is a perfect implementation of the top down racer. I was sceptical about the controls - so many IOS racers are let down by the lack of real buttons - but found that the programmers have let you place the virtual pads wherever you feel comfortable, which is sheer genius. Fiddle about until you get it right for you and there should be no problems control wise. The drift physics are spectacular, the graphics are great and thus the game is a whole bunch of fun. Might I add that if anyone does have a Gameboy Advance lying around and can get hold of a copy of the virtually unknown Racing Gears cart - that game is awesome too..Version: 1.3.0

The game play is very smooth and balanced. The cars are perfect to control with a wide range of steering options with intensive drifting action. My only problem with it is that it is too easy, I have had it a few hours and I have already nearly finished all the tracks on the most difficult settings. I hope that they bring out some more tracks and options. If it cost more i would have only given it 4 stars but for 2.99 I don't expect every game to have angry birds numbers of levels. Although the one thing which I think could be changed is the race stats 'attached' to your car with a stick, should maybe be at the top or somewhere else, not in the middle of the screen... It's a great mix of frustration and joy playing it where one false move can send you from leading the pack to languishing way behind them all! Seasoned players used to the reactions you obtain playing sideways scrollers or timed type games (where one small move can make or break) may get through the levels very quickly meaning perhaps less longevity for replayability but more casual gamers and younger members of your family will be challenged and delighted by this game for quite some time. ✓ Great game, great developerI bought this game years ago and have always thought to was great. I just got a new phone today, checked in the App Store and was amazed to see the developer still issuing updates. It’s brilliant that the game is still working on iOS 11 all these years after release. Other developers could learn a thing or two.
