✓ Fun, well designed game!I really enjoyed the game, it’s a nice tactical shooter with a decent amount of options. Combat feels good and exploring the island and getting harder monsters is nice. I feel there could be more variety in the monsters though, it feels like most of the game is the same ones over and over, and I would i like to see perhaps some more customisation of your squad. Also, there is no reward really for exploring a map other than the objectives, it would be great if hidden stashes of elite equipment could be found, which could say be fitted to a specific operative. ✓ What I was looking for.This squad based tactical game played in its manageable chunks is what I was looking for to fill those small gaps in my busy schedule. I’ve read a couple of reviews that rate it down because they say it’s to easy, which is madness if you want to make it harder on yourself take only rookies into the field, don’t level your equipment or run 3 of the same class in a mission, placing self imposed limitations will make the game plenty hard, and which what their is to manage at your base camp it’s just deep enough satisfy me without being ridiculous. ✓ Great game but why so hard?The game is fun to play and there’s no in app purchases, what I don’t get is - why make the game so modeled after games that do want you to buy resources? By the fourth time you try to upgrade a structure, the cost is so high in rare resources that the game time ends way before I have enough. It’s not pay to win, I own it, why have so much grinding? ✓ This is the exact type of game I love.Whenever you send your units out to the island for a mission it spawns random side quests you can do along the way or just do those to get the specific resources you need. The randomness of quests and encounters you have is so fun to me and keeps me coming back. Plus I love having a home base and units to upgrade and level up. ✓ Needs new game plusHonestly this is a good game overall but it cut short for being amazing. For one the 3 main story lines are more favored to xeno from being 5% every day. I understand more wise but to rush other main storylines you have to rush certain parts and with the way the exp is given grinding certain areas is impossible because how low exp is given in the beginning areas. I understand that I need to play a different way but my way is to grind characters incase things go south which happens often. I feel like a new game plus will bring more to the game and make it for enjoyable. I envision being 3 ops over one from each solider/ranger/scientists and nerf them to be level 2 or 3 Cuase the first 3 maps are just drags to get through and with this more people can play the later maps before game over without the exploration mode to get most of the main missions. ✓ Xenowerk Tactics is Tacticool!A great game and fun to play! -plenty of enemies to kill and obliterate (though more enemies would be great, like zombie scientists or xenosaurs…xeno dinosaurs…the island does have a very Jurassic Park-like feel to it) -perhaps passive creatures like birds and other xeno mammals to encounter, even tame -a fourth squad member (red) who specializes in healing team members and uses either heavy weaponry or special sci-fi weaponry (electric) -more levels (underground railway network, weapons lab, plains/desert areas, volcano) -further upgrades to the base (upgrading SPA to past level 4 to grant more cleansing baths for fully upgraded team members) -more bosses to battle and destroy Overall a great awesome game with lots of expansive potential. ✓ Fun game, but...The concept here is fantastic, the atmosphere is perfect, and there is an outline of some potentially great game mechanics here. unfortunately the mechanics aren't all that well fleshed out though, leaving the game feeling rushed and half finished. what the game needs? more interesting combat. more depth to exploration. loot... like finding gear and weapons which could be distributed among your operators. the characters progression, seems extremely limited with only allowing upgrading weapons and suits a couple times, with that limited selection being of gear locked in to each of only 3 classes. the exposure mechanic is brilliant, but so little is done with it. the mutations could have been much more interesting and provided much greater utility... but 90% percent of the possible mutations are boring to the point of being entirely unremarkable. it needs cybernetics, better mutations, more dramatic effects of trauma and horror, more levels, more troops, an arsenal of weapons and gear that can be equipped on units. tap to set destination, swipe through enemies to que targets, to fire at while moving. add some verticality to levels, along with strategic locations, tracking. so much could be done here to flesh this world out and make this into a really impressive game. but unfortunately it just an empty shell of would could have been. i'm giving it four stars to encourage the developers to revisit this concept and do something better..MultipleMasonVersion: 2.0.8

As you continue the campaign, it becomes more enjoyable, tactical and you have to make difficult RPG style decisions to overcome some obstacles, which is great. The combat becomes more difficult as you progress and requires more strategy & upgraded operatives which keeps you on your toes. ✓ Surprising depthGreat little stories and missions. Feel invested in the characters (well some of them are hypocondiatic nincompoops that no one likes). Seriously tho: the team members you can recruit come with foibles and can be quite different. I’m only at 2nd level crew so far. Love it. Get it. The trial mode removes any excuse fo4 not trying it. Nearing end of second playthru. Note the game ends 5 days after you hit 100% with one of the factions. I’ve got 6 team members at 4th level (two complete teams of three) and have secured the first 8 landing sites. You’ll need that many in order to be able to win the end game: get enough Ambrosia faction missions done AND survive the trek to the necessary site. The game also the pin still has further playability in 3 MORE zones requiring at least level 5+ characters. Loving it! Has loads of tension at the higher level missions: have 8 team members at 5th level on day 31 and no faction is higher than 70%! ✓ Amazing Game, Worth Buying!I’m really enjoying this game at the moment, love the combat system and mechanics. Story mode is very good but I accidentally done the black market ending without realising but love the continuation (exploration) after. Love the multiple characters but would like more customisation for weapons and armour and even the special abilities e.g. adding another base camp building for ability changes for x amount of resources. Add the weapon and armour customisation to the armoury as well, also I think having your own tourist base camp building would be good instead of just in the recruitment. I love the map size but feel the missions are a little repetitive, I would like to have some missions where you can unlock a special mission for special items such as rare guns, armour or mutations. Overall really solid game and I’ll continue to play too but if you can add some of these suggestions in an update you’d be the best developers ever haha thanks for such a great game!.SlylydelicVersion: 2.0.8

✓ Good follow up to the Xenowerk titleIf you want to test the waters they let you in for free with plenty of time to check it out before you buy. I’m not a big fan of endless shooters which is pretty much the formula of the original Xenowerk game but by adding some lite team tactics and a little more story elements I founded it an inventive reuse of their existing asset to create something that feels new. I give it four out of five just because it’s still the endless shooter but I do appreciate that they give it to you in small doses and let you decide how much more you want to do. I found the random elements of loot, ambush, and events a nice change of pace. Along with developing your team and tackling certain tasks through the emails in the command center this feels much more like the games I enjoy. I Probably won’t sink 7 bucks into it at this time although it’s tempting just because I like what these guys do.
