✓ GlitchesWhen QB payroll moved my payroll from my desktop version it moved hundreds of ex-employees who had been inactive for as long as 12 years into active employees in the new online payroll. You can’t simply click them as inactive or terminated as you can with desktop. You have to go into every profile, add information and then follow steps to take them from active....the easiest way being to delete them. This wipes out all the records for the employee. I am looking at twenty hours of wasted time correcting the glitch. And you can’t process any tax documents unless you do this. And QB Dior’s not have a fix for this..Keester1953Version: 11.3.2

✓ Good enough when it’s workingLately, the app has not been letting me sign in on my iPhone 8+. Don’t know what’s going on but it’s definitely frustrating. The app is not robust by any means, but most of the time I don’t need it to be, I just need to see what net PR and taxes are going to be to get the right amounts to the right accounts. Would be nice to have fingerprint sign on and be able to adjust pay rates, vacation, etc. or be able to fully onboard a new employee..D. Ro.Version: 11.0.2

✓ No customer service supportI purchased payroll service through iTunes app, when my payroll account had a problem, I tried to contact the qb payroll customer service but they can’t help. Because I paid the through IPAD that s what they said.. long story, for short, it is not convenient through the Phone.. try to purchase on your computer, so the customer service can help with your account and not try to push you to some body else. ✓ I will give star rate this when I can print the checksFirst of all I hate that you have to have a separate app and you can't just do this in your QuickBooks app I also hate that when you use this app you can't print the payroll checks. Yes it's easy to use but what's the point why not just do it in the other app and be able to print your checks why go through so many different steps it makes it more complicated.EggersfamilyVersion: 10.1

✓ IssuesI’ve tried clearing my cache (on my IPhone AND IPad), deleting and re-downloading app, refreshing app, and checking for updates but every single time I try to login I get “Your session has expired.” Its a bummer we can never run payroll from our phone when out of town or on the go when payroll is due. ✓ TerribleEntered all hours in QB online and then processed through the app. Everything looked great and seemed so convenient until it screwed up the whole payroll!! Paid most of our employees less than they should have, 1 employee got nothing, 1 employee got paid despite no hours being entered for him. When calling support, they were no help and had very condescending tone. They even admitted this app is no good. ✓ Employees gain nothingThis app is supposed to have some convience to all of us that use it right? Well how come employees are the only ones who cant use this app to see their paycheck stubs and such? We have to get redirected to our browsers and i don’t think thats fair. Im pretty sure i speak for everyone thats an employee not an employer. Whats the point of us employees having an app that does nothing but redirect us to our browsers? ✓ Only one account access at a time?I believe it throws a fit if your still signed into the online webbrowser or the app(computer) if you try to sign into the ios app Past that idk if it lets more than one different account onto the app at once? Aside from that i think the set up and simplicity of it is great! I just need to figure this out to make things more simple. Shouldnt have to log out of everything else at the very least it should log them out instead of telling you to. Generally youd use the app if you werent near your computer so logging everything out might be a tad annoying or even impossible in some circumstances My account worked fine and signed me out of the web My bosses account couldn't get in and neither could the admin account we figured wed just use to get past this issue. ✓ Not enough info in appI like the layout but would like to see more info like employee pay rate, tax payments, ability to make tax payments, ability to update employee profile settings, etc. the whole point of an app is to provide access so you don’t have to go get on a computer to run the business. ✓ Not recommended for full service payrollDirect quote from chat, “We do not suggest using the app because it does have a harder time supporting the full service accounts”. It works as far as looking at reports, but don’t expect to be able to submit payroll if you have full-service payroll. Please note this review is reflective of the app and not the payroll service as it works well with the computer and the team is able to fix things quickly if you have an error in reporting as I did while trying to use the app..🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️Version: 11.3.8

✓ Doesn’t allow editing as it shouldCan’t edit my employees info from the app, default seems to have set my guys up as Female, app won’t let me edit the gender, the phone number, etc. also, it’s telling me I’m signed in on more than one device which I am NOT and will not let me sign in from my laptop because it thinks I’m still on the App, again, I am not. I made sure I signed out as it requested and it still shows the error. If I need to make edits ana my partner also needs to make edits, it will NOT allow sign in on multiple devices. ✓ HopelessEven when it works, it doesn’t work very well. It doesn’t include the memo section so you cannot put in additional info, which is often required by California law for pay stubs. Suppose it would be OK if you just have employees with hours and nothing else. That’s when it works. Last few times it has told me my payroll isn’t set up for mobile. Tried to fix with Intuit. ✓ No Longer WorksLeave it to Intuit to take a good thing and ruin it. I’d been using this app for a few years now as an accountant with multiple clients on the Intuit Online Payroll for Accountants platform. They just recently changed something about their systems such that I was forced to start using my QuickBooks Online ID and password and everything went haywire. ✓ Needs touch accessComes in handy when paying taxes. It’s pretty cramped for doing payroll, especially with different hourly charges IE: OT, holiday pay etc. But I rarely run full payroll on it & I love the simplicity of the full website for that. So for what I use it for, it’s ok. They really need to get up to date with the Touch ID for login. & you can’t paste your password in from say LastPass password manager....that’s annoying..Kamots22Version: 10.2

✓ Terrible experience this yearI would recommend any first time employer to avoid this program. It is very expensive at $43 per month to pay a single household employee. Payments are delayed two days when other services can send money instantly. Getting year end tax requirements has been a nightmare. It seemed inexpensive at first, but the discount goes away and full price is over $500 per year. I am certain I will get penalized by the IRS for missing something. I’m totally freaked out. ✓ Works in a pinch, but won’t show total cost.For my purposes, I need to see the total cost (including employer taxes) so I can transfer the entire amount to another account. I keep withholdings in an interest bearing account until they are due. I can run payroll in the app if I’m not by a computer, but will still have to get online to see the amount I need to transfer. ✓ Too Glitchy!! Esp w/accounting firmsI am an accountant with several QB clients. I have been downloading and then deleting this app repeatedly over the past year or so because I get so fed up with it. It is extraordinarily glitchy. It constantly asks me to sign in, even if I have just signed in, and for some reason even if it works for my clients’ companies, it won’t let me run payroll for my own firm. I tap on my firm, and it tells me to sign in. I sign in. It briefly shows my employees, but then just as quickly gives me another message to sign in again. ✓ Frustrated!!!When I first started using the app a few years back it was good. Now 99% of the time I try to use it; as soon I log on it pops up with “session expired please sign in again” my only option is to push ok only to sign on and have it say it again. I tried to delete the app and reinstall and the issue continued. ✓ PointlessI go online through the web and see a picture of an iPhone with a beautiful interface of a payroll screen and think oh nice they have an app. So I download it and as an employee it takes me out of the app and into safari, sign in and it just stays on the internet that way.
