Calculator₊ for Negative User Reviews

AdpocalypseRiddled with ads and pop ups.Version: 7.6.0

Shout out to apple for making such a bad calculator app, people resort to this.Thank you Impala studios for gifting the world the ground breaking invention of the calculator. Seriously you guys deserve to monetize this thing, can’t imagine the brilliance, ingenuity and programming skill in took to develop this app! Gifting it for us laymen cretins without ads for only 7.49 a week is such a steal 🤗🤗🤗🤗.Version: 7.20.0

Too many ads and way too expensive for a subscriptionHonestly, I like this app. The different background features are fun and the different calculators are cool, but the fact that a subscription is SO expensive for a calculator just turns me off. I could easily find a fraction calculator on google for free. The constant ads are also really annoying and I might’ve paid for a subscription but the prices are absolutely ridiculous, just for 2 extra calculators and no ads when I can turn my wifi off or search up the other calculators. I understand you have to make money but lowering prices would get many more sales in my eyes. Overall rating a 1.5/5.Version: 6.4.0

Forces you to sign T&C?Honestly just want a free calculator. Not worried if there is an advert but upon opening the app you have to agree to share data. Most apps I don’t really care but this just bugged me for some reason. Said I don’t agree and told I needed to pay a subscription. Scumbaggery on sale here. Edit... just read another negative review where the developers responded by saying the need adds to make this financially viable. Maybe work on other apps then which people don’t mind paying for. Cutting and pasting a calculator UI from other apps and putting it on the store isnt really the hard work you claim is it and if it is then maybe you are in the wrong career..Version: 6.0.16

KPretty gay if you ask me.Version: 6.4.9

A monthly fee, are you kidding me!Your app is one the top searches for a calculator, so my impression would be that this app would be worth getting, it’s not. Even though a simple act of calculating of numbers would be something that would be included in a high price device, sadly it’s not. I am most fortunate that in my higher education classes require not using a calculator because this App is a joke. I picked up this app to have the convenience of a simple calculator but with the ads and NOW limited number of calculation pay wall!!! Seriously, I can go to a dollar store and pick up a calculator that’s more reliable and better in every way then your virtual calculator that I cannot use. I will stick to paper and pencil or counting my fingers and toes before I pay you a single penny for an app that should already be in my device thank you, no thank you, goodbye..Version: 6.0.17

Could have been a good appEvery second while using this app, an ad will pop up. It’s terrible, and the ads get in the way of the calculation. Often, they cover the results, making you have to click the cross button to get rid of them in order to see the result. It’s terrible, and I definitely don’t recommend this app unless you have money to spend on removing the ads. I love the fact that this app can be used in split screen and slide over. I wish I could just use it without these intrusive ads..Version: 7.0.6

Too many ads and not enough calculationThis calculator has become riddled with ads for products I don’t,won’t and have a use for. The ads appear at start up and continued to plague me until I finally deleted the ap all together as it was more frustration than value. I can find websites to go to do calculations of currency which this won’t do. If it was a one time purchase that was secure without data mining I would be happy, but I see there are more calculators like this than not. I deleted it as it became a leach that annoyed me to no end, and I began to suspect it was gathering my data in the background and was therefore a security risk that I could do without. I can buy the old fashioned battery powered calculator online and use it without it being connected to any of my data. I would not recommend that anyone get or use this app as I have no idea how secure it is. I plan to delete this app on all of my Apple products. I also plan to contact Apple about this app so they can look into it more closely to see if it may be a security risk to users. If it had a one time purchase price and was a compact (memory wise) app I might consider keeping it, but in it’s current configuration as a ad host I would rather do without it..Version: 7.5.0

Why do many ads?The calculator itself does the job, can’t really ask more from a calculator app. What I struggle to understand is why a calculator app needs up to sometimes four ads going whenever I try to use it for simple things. In my opinion it’s just gotten in the way of the quality of the app and is no longer a simple inconvenience. Get rid of all the ads!.Version: 7.12.2

Rip offCaught connected by mistake. But No Calculaor is worth this weekly cost. Rip off ! _and with Apple Support!.Version: 7.21.2

Ads are unbearable and they changed ad free subscriptionI’ve been using this app for YEAAAARS.. it’s been so long I honestly can’t even remember how long it’s actually been. I use the calculator a fair amount of times but it’s not a super frequent occurrence and originally I wanted this calculator because the Apple calculator wouldn’t let me delete a typo without deleting the entire calculation and this also tracks calculation history. Anyway, I paid for the $2.99 ad free upgrade a few years ago and everything has been fine up until a few months ago I randomly had a $2.99 credit on my Apple account. At first I had no idea where it came from UNTIL I went to use the calculator and an annoying ad covered the entire screen. Apparently they changed things and instead of a one time $2.99 charge they want $1.49/mo to use the calculator ad free. The little ads at the bottom aren’t bad but the thing that makes it unbearable and the reason why I’m deleting the app after at the very least 5 years is the ads that popup while I’m in the middle if typing which ultimately lead to me clicking on the ad and opening up safari or app store. I don’t like the fact I’m forced to open unwanted ads to god knows what. I don’t want that on my phone. Such a shame. I might have failed math in high school but this calculator is not that important to me to have to deal click on ads because they pop up while I’m typing..Version: 6.2.4

Two perspectivesI used this app for years, and it’s been handy and good. I’m happy to pay for good work (it’s how I too have the money to pay). I used the basic functions frequently, I have another app I prefer for more complex calculations (I won’t name to respect this developer) I’m not happy with a subscription model. If you consider all the useful apps switching to subscriptions over the past few years, it would run into many £/€/$ 100s each year. Each time this happens I have to evaluate it’s worth and the alternatives. With only two exceptions so far, the once-off payment option wins and I delete the subscription app. Re: dev comments- yes I understand motivation, I need more money too! I happily paid you for this some time back & you deserved payment. So now I have paid (ad-free) iPad version, but deleted the iPhone version as the choice appeared to be paying again or getting ads.Version: 6.0.10

Bad updateSince the latest update, the app is littered in ads, crashes and performs poorly. Has trouble even adding! May need to look at another calculator if improvements can’t be made. I did like the app before..Version: 5.0.2

Liked but now deletedI liked this calculator and would have kept it but I am just about to delete this app and go with another. I just went in to do some sums and had to endure an advert which would not push on and then the only option is with cookies is to accept and this, I believe is against the law now so you just scuppered yourselves by being greedy and not thinking of the usability of your app. Or your customers I really hate those apps which abuse the privilege, stuff up your computer with cookies and make you endure horrible adverts where the volume is too loud and you cannot turn it off. Why did you have to go and ruin what was a good app. So disappointing and to be honest, stupid business sense. And I bet this feedback never sees the light of day.Version: 7.12.1

Access Personal Data to Customise Ads?????I have not used this app in some time so I was very surprised to find that when it launched it I received a pop-up box requesting permission to access my personal data to better customise its ads. I only wanted to carry out some basic calculation. You don’t need access to my personal data to allow me to carry out basic calculations and I most certainly will not give you permission to access my files. It was a good app in the good old days, now I question its functionality. I’m deleting this from my device. Goodbye.....Version: 6.3.8

Mildly disappointed and infuriated at this…You see, i understand you require monetization from adverts and that you chose to make it a pay to remove, but please, this is pathetic, even on advert ridden apps, games, (even websites!) they always make it so that you can click the “x” button and it removes the ad or at least hides it. It detracts from the perfectly good app. And second thing, please, I beg, replace the premium “fractions calculator” so that the fractions calculator is free but we have a calculator that is general and can properly perform any calculation, like a real calculator. But mainly, if the devs are reading my review, as i hope they will, please just at least make it so we don’t get the premium purchase option when trying to close an ad using the “x” and if you need the purchase in the app, maybe make a new tab with all the purchase options on? But please, just make it so I can close the ad or at lease change it for a “report this ad?” like on majority of websites and games. If you are reading this devs, and you actually change it, thanks for your time..Version: 6.4.10

No longer using this oneI have used this app for years as my calculator....but now it plays an ad when I start making a calculation. It’s just a calculator....sorry but there are free ones out there that don’t bug you with ads or want money..Version: 6.3.8

Ads, ads and more addRidiculous amount of time wasted on ads. Why is this now a paid option to have no ads when this used to be add free and still is on my iPhone!.Version: 7.5.0

Too many adsAds are fine it's just that in the middle of my calculations it pops up ads and messes me up, not cool.Version: 5.0.1

Subscription.... NOUhh why would anyone in their right mind pay a monthly fee for a calculator app. If the app had a one off fee to remove ads I would do so, however with the only option being a laughable subscription service, I will uninstall instead..Version: 6.0.15

Used to be greatWill be deleting and looking for a different app. Way too many ads. You don’t need so many ads. It’s ridiculous. Thank you for scaling back on the ads. I have used this app for years and really loved it. I love being able to keep track of all my inputs and being able to backspace and erase one or multiple entries. I like how the history is set up. This app has been just what I need daily for years. The ads on screen were annoying but fine to put up with for the use of the app. BUT now I get VERY ANNOYING FULL SCREEN ADS THAT POP UP AS SOON AS I OPEN THE APP AND WHEN IM IN THE MIDDLE OF WORKING!!!!!!! I frequently use the app when I’m out and about, now I have to wait for the ad to load and find the hidden x just to be able to use the app for a quick calculation. By that point I would have figured out the calculation by myself so what’s the point of the app? AND even more frustrating when I am in the middle of typing out calculations and inputting numbers while looking at my paperwork for the input numbers and go back to the app to input the information and an AD HAS POPPED UP SO I HAVE TO STOP WORKING AND HUNT DOWN THE X JUST TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE MY WORK!!!! I am VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH WHAT THIS APP HAS BECOME. I will be looking elsewhere after having been satisfied with this app for years..Version: 7.2.2

Why pay when you can use Google Calc for free with no ads….sorry..just not worth it.Why pay when you can use Google Calc for free with no ads….sorry..just not worth it..Version: 7.17.0

Great Calculator BUT Horrendously Intrusive AdsI saw somewhere that the ‘ads had been reduced’… sorry what? They are worse than they ever were. Every single time I open the app I get a full-screen ad! It’s infuriating. I refuse to look at ads and immediately close the app and pick up my phone instead. I don’t mind paying for an app either but a subscription? Really? For a calculator? We are already forced to buy so many subscriptions now that quite frankly one could go bust with the number of monthly outgoings. I’d like to buy it as a one-off. Ad free! Aside from that, it used to be a great app. A really easy to use calculator that shows a history of your recent calculations on the left which is really useful. But not worth the hassle of ads I’m afraid hence only 2 stars..Version: 6.4.9

Ads are annoyingThis isn’t a native Apple App like it wants you to think it is. It works fine but the ads are obnoxious, particularly when they scroll over you’re entire screen. You don’t need this app..Version: 6.4.4

Great appGood to do homework with and find answers to hard questions, I give this app a 5/5. Comes with a lot of styles to customise your calculator to look unique! Using this calculator I get all my answers right in maths! I don’t know how to use the bigger calculator yet because I don’t know what all the symbols mean but I’m sure they are good symbols to use. I recommend using calculator since it’s a good way to find answers to questions that you don’t need an answer to, because nobody can answer every question without using a method to find an answer. Overall I think this app needs no improvements since it’s already great. Thank you for making this app ;).Version: 6.2.11

Good app spoiled by ads and greedy developerTitle says it all, ads are something we have to live with these days, but in this app they are far too distracting and overwhelm the user experience. You have the option to pay to remove them, but charging £13 per year is ridiculous for a calculator. At best the app should be a one time cost, and split out the modules as additional enter as for those that want them. I don’t need fractions, currency conversion etc. Why not charge a fixed fee for a basic calculator, once and allow people to pick and choose what additional functionalities they want to pay for?.Version: 6.0.1

This app is a pos for one reasonRidiculous pop-up ads for games I would never play...you know...because I'm busy trying to make calculations. It's a tough job, though when a snorting buffalo singing the praises of some life-destroying gambling app pops up. Why, Apple, did you ruin this incredible app with the worst kind of ads? Full-screen and totally distracting. These ads have audio, and give no warning, so this app is now impossible to use in settings where quiet is required, like classrooms, libraries, and offices (places folks tend to use calculators). What is this? 2003? Switching to another app even though I really loved this one. All the other reviews that mention the totally distracting, inappropriate pop-ups are met with the same copy-pasted response from the developer, which is full of typos and totally avoiding accountability. I've concluded that the ads are so bad, the only explanation is that the developer is deliberately sabotaging their own app for some reason. Well, your efforts are effective. Deleted the app..Version: 5.0.2

Was great, now ad block keys. Find a different calculator. This was a five star app before the update a few months ago. Now it has ads on the upper left hand corner that block the #7 & C (clear) buttons and some of the list of what is being calculated. It’s incredibly frustrating to have to X out the ad because it quickly pops back up. I tried to just deal with it and hoped updates would fix this problem. But, after many years of using this app and loving it, I’ve decided to delete it and find another calculator app. It’s such a foolish move by the developers. My son is a game designer, so I understand the need to monetize apps. But it should never be done in a way that takes away from the use of the app! That’s just counter intuitive and a losing proposition. I’m sorry to say I can no longer recommend this app, instead I recommend you try one of the many other calculator apps. And now I’m off to try a couple of other calculator apps that I’ve downloaded and delete my former favorite one. Very sad,.Version: 7.0.8

Would be 5* without, but is 1* with the advertsWhat a shame that this excellent app is now so spoiled by the ads, and the way they interact with the app. They are so intrusive that I will now only use the iPhone version of calculator with no ads. One is offered the box "CLOSE AD which opens the ad! I have found no way not to see the ad, and they can so easily be accidentally opened when using the calculator. And I am horrified to read in one of these reviews that accidentally opening an ad can result in auto-subscription. Certainly not a risk that I would wish to take. As for the monthly fee request if one wants a version not penalised by ads...........I could purchase a reasonable stand alone calculator for this sort of money. Sorry, but this is an app spoiled by greed..Version: 5.1.2

Full of ads, super expensive premiumThis calculator looks like the included iphone calculator, but it is far from it. Ads load whenever you open it and you must watch before using… then banner ads display while using.. if you don't want ads, the premium version costs over a dollar per day. Huge ripoff..Version: 7.5.0

Full screen ads while entering numbersI used to put up with the banner adverts along the bottom, but now it will open full screen adverts while you’re entering numbers. If it pops up just as you’re about to hit another number then you end up accidentally clicking on the ad. After a few months of use I’ve uninstalled it because this greatly impacts useability..Version: 6.4.0

It’s a fricken calculatorWildly annoying pop up ads that have to closed in order to see calc buttons. Constantly up selling and trying to get more money…It’s a fricken calculator! Shame on Apple for not providing a stupid simple app..Version: 7.20.0

£8 a year?!Subscription of £8 a year (at its cheapest!) for a calculator? Obviously do not know just how much development resource goes into this but I find that obscene. Then adding a specific function to advertise your own apps in the middle of actual functions of the calculator.. Do yourself a favour, google casio scientific and get an actual solar powered scientific calculator for less than the cost of a years worth of monthly subscriptions to this app that will instead last for years and years, won’t try to push its other apps on you and wont force you to watch adds. Imagine paying a monthly subscription for a calculator..Version: 6.2.17

Too irritating to use now with stupid ads all the timeThis is preinstalled, yet suddenly you can’t just open and do a quick calculation anymore, the whole screen goes in an annoying ridiculously long ad, before you can use it. Shouldn’t be any ads if it’s preinstalled, but if you need them then put them at the bottom. Calculator is impossible to use now, and just beyond A joke to expect us to now pay more than an actual calculator each year for a basic basic adding machine - it’s preinstalled!! I can’t use anymore, I’ve downloaded a different free one with no ads. What a joke.Version: 6.5.3

Per Year Subscription 🤦‍♂️This is hands down the best and easiest to use calculator app on an iPhone. The functionality is great, and the layout just makes sense. A while ago I noticed that the advertisements in the app got more aggressive. I figured sure the developers need to make a living why not - and I figured as I had used the calculator so much for a while maybe I’d upgrade to the premium version and support them. Then I see the subscription is monthly, twice a year, or yearly. It really put me off so I didn’t pay. I’d have happily paid £5-£7 for the premium version. I don’t really think a piece of software that is not going to change significantly (maths you do on a phone isn’t going to change in the near future) should be offered on a subscription basis. So charging annually for it feels greedy and wrong..Version: 6.5.0

Review About The CalculatorI hate the ads when they come because when I want to search something on the calculator it distracts me and on an iPhone it is way easier.Version: 6.6.0

Once was a fan, not anymoreI downloaded this app a long time ago; since then I’ve had several iPhones, and always kept this calculator front and center. I don’t do much serious math, but the interface was nice and it suit my purpose; never felt like I needed to upgrade to the better version as I was content with basic PEMDAS. Now, for around a year or more, it has become unusable… I pop in to do some quick addition and am immediately blocked by pop up adds so thick I can’t remove them for 30 seconds or more at a time. Add time on a free app is one thing, but enormously irritating pop ups dominating your entire screen when all you’re looking for is super basic calculation is absurd. Deleting and never coming back and y’all should do the same; there’s got to be a thousand less obnoxious offers out there. Very disappointing to see in what was a nice app for so many years..Version: 6.6.0

This is to the people who created this! The app is useful for helping children with their homework or if they’re homeschooled but I upgraded it with an iTunes card and I did NOT receive the “no ads” there was continuous ads throughout the app and I did NOT receive the fraction calculator at all I’m very VERY disappointed I would if I could get a refund or you people better get your app together don’t think this is a joke many people have rated 1 and 2 stars and looks like only 2 people used 5 star I feel sorry for them, but if you’re thinking I’m using a different divide such as phone then you’re wrong I’m using APPLE iPad and there’s no glitching or lagging. Please try to fix this! Thank you :).Version: 6.0.17

Why all the adverts? The Calculator comes pre-installed, and has never needed adverts before, so why now? I’ll tell you why:- Money, and greed. It was free on the device when purchased, so how do you justify the need for additional revenue? You’ve already been paid by Apple, otherwise it wouldn’t auto-install with the rest of Apple’s third party apps. Not only that, there are free calculators with no ads. It’s a calculator, it does what it does, and when it reaches the lofty status of ‘working calculator’ then it’s job done. Why does it need stupid gimmicks like the display style and shape of the buttons? It’s VIRTUAL! It’s like smashing a tour-boat to pieces to build 2 rafts for renting out. The worst part is, it’s not even as good as a cheap scientific calculator as it lacks much of the functionality that a scientist would use; Binary, Hex, Octal, Logic Gate Functions, multiple memory slots, macros for complex equations...... the list goes on, and your asking US to tell you what it needs!!? If you don’t already know, which you obviously don’t, then you should perhaps think about packing frozen chickens instead of this - it’s hardly rocket surgery - get a scientific calculator, and replicate the functionality, you lazy, condescending and arrogant to$$er! DELETED..Version: 6.3.8

Unusable now with full screen adsI’ve used this app for years. It’s perfect. There’s a small banner ad at the bottom, I can live with that. Recently though, I’m not getting full screen ads about 5 seconds after opening the app. Now, when I use a calculator, I’m usually trying to remember numbers in my head so I can quickly put them in the calculator before I forget them. But now with full screen ads that last 5 seconds or more before you can close them, this app is now useless to me. Such a shame, a great app for all these years ruined by a greedy dev..Version: 6.3.2

Useless Adds Adds addsThe adds on this app have become so bad the app is now useless some of the adds take over my whole iPad ....SHAME I don’t mind some adds as the dev has to get paid but this has gotten out of hand ... shame Be part of the solution not the problem Time to look for a new app.Version: 6.5.3

Constant adsI couldn’t even enter 40*14 without 3 ads. I deleted the app..Version: 7.19.1

Adware makes this unusableHey, I get it - the devs need to make money on their App through either purchase or ads. I'm a long time user but have grown to hate the current version as the ads have become so obtrusive. The problem is that the ads have taken over the app; I open up the app to make a quick calculation and I have to suffer through at least a five second ad before you can even get to the calculator entry screen. Do yourself a favour and just use the google calculator from your browser; it's free and quicker..Version: 7.12.3

WhyWhy tf would i pay for an online calculator 😭😭😭😭….Version: 7.21.2

Useable unless you use trig functionsI used this calculator for minor calculations while doing homework or in class, and it was actually pretty decent, until I started noticing my calculations were wrong (even when identical to others’). I double checked and as it turns out, the trig functions produce the wrong answers. I haven’t tested much else, and so far it seems like everything else comes out accurately enough, but unfortunately unusable for certain applications and for me, it’s not worth having more than one app for the same purpose. It seems like a fairly basic functionality that many other calculator apps get right. Ultimately, it works fine for basic arithmetic, but there are many more apps that perform the same functions better for anything outside of that..Version: 6.0.0

Intrusive ads, no buy and forget optionThis app is infuriating. I used to like it, and the layout is clean and nice. However now you have to watch an add every time the app is opened. Even if you switch apps for a second to look at something and come back, another add will show! The only paid options are subscriptions. This really needs to be a buy and keep forever app. It’s just a calculator after all. I really don’t understand why there’s no default calculator app for iPad….Version: 7.21.2

Inappropriate AdsHello, dear devs of this calculator! I just wanted to say before I critique, that amazing calculator. It’s easy and simple to use. I haven’t bought the full version, so I can’t speak for those troubles but… The ads are inappropriate, there is sometimes Marijuana ads (WHICH means you don’t regulate and just allow all ads) and even dating website ads (like Tinder, etc) with risqué pictures. My son had this app and asked me what one of the Marijuana ads was because the package on the ad looked like a candy package. I had to explain to my SIX YEAR OLD SON that it wasn’t candy and to never press on that ad. He’s six, did he understand? No! Other than the ads, it’s perfectly fine. No problems on my end with the calculator itself. If you fix the ad problem, I would love to change this review to a 5 star one! Thank you! ~ Phantom Game Critic.Version: 6.5.3

Hi i'm to pick you a few days off and i'll to do you think we can get someI was my birthday in the morning so i'll you like me me and you want a good day to come back in and the rest is the best thing for me to do drop off my kids and then go to the school and then go to get the kids to school so we have a lot to come up with you can get it for you guys thanks for the birthday weekend and thanks so text to let you know how much tiger is doing so you know if you're.Version: 6.0.17

Calculator on a subscription model?Ha! This is a new low. A subscription based calculator? Seriously? Just for once put yourself in your customer's shoes. I guess next I'll be asked to pay monthly subscription for the cutlery I buy at IKEA. Pathetic..Version: 6.4.3

£5.49 per week???I have just re-downloaded having used a few years back which I paid to upgrade at the time before subscriptions. The app keeps bugging me to pay £5.49 PER WEEK… yes! This is crazy. A “upgrade your user experience with. £5.49 / week” is shown along with the continue button. Even the plans section of settings states £5.49 per week…. Who an Earth is going to pay over £285 per year for an app upgrade? This is crazy… something is not right. I can understand per year but not per week?.Version: 7.2.2

The current ad set up is painstakingI’ve used this app for many years now, and even put many friends and family onto it. I didn’t mind the ad’s that would come up on a section that still allowed the use of the calculator function while they played. But to go from that to stopping me from any functionality whatsoever until I am finished watching this ad that is forced upon me (some of which have glitched making them almost impossible to get rid of until I close the app completely, open it up again, and guess what? Watch another ad before I can get back to my work again) is just unbearable now. So unless things change very soon, I’ll be looking for another app as well as advising everyone I’ve recommended this app to, to find another one. The ad’s on the side still make you money!.Version: 7.21.2

NOT WORTH THE UBIQUITOUS ADSI have used this app for a couple of years and was quite satisfied. The app then started a new process with pop-up full screen ads that appear at anytime. At startup or in the middle of a calculation, it doesn’t seem to matter. You have to hunt down the X or the CLOSE button as they may appear in any corner. I just opened the app to do a calculation and in the middle of me pushing buttons a full page ad appeared. I looked all over for an X or a CLOSE button but there was none. After about 20 seconds an X slowly appeared in the upper left hand corner. I was so frustrated I actually couldn’t remember what I was calculating. This full page ad process that the developers have invoked into their app is a death knell for their app in my view. Go back to the old way before the full page pop-ups or you’ll likely will lose many frustrated users. I, for one, am done with this app. I went from a fan to a very frustrated ex-user..Version: 6.3.16

Write a letter to the calculatorI’m going to be a little bit smarter than what I was before but I’m going for the best for my life and that’s what I’m gonna be doing for the next couple weeks and I don’t want to lose my mind if you let me down I will be in good hands and I’m going for a good life and I will be happy for you and if you let me down you can be a little bit more more sometimes..Version: 7.5.0

ReviewToo many adds, but I get it, everyone needs paid. Free is free..Version: 7.21.2

Really really big. Who cares?I never use this calculator because I just want to add or subtract, multiply or divide. I just now read a couple of reviews and discovered that the complicated, far more complex capabilities disappear if the iPad is held in portrait view. So I, apparently am unique in only using calculators for simple arithmetic and hate all the extra crap, oops, complexity. Of course, I never use all the crap so I don't know how to use a calculator that appears to only be that. Golly gee wiz. If there were instructions, I wouldn't be hating this calculator so intensely! But that would spoil everything? Maybe I'll remember to put the iPad in portrait view instead of just using my iPhone. There have to be others who use calculators for arithmetic, so one sentence would spare us all from avoiding this one? Just a thought. When this app is updated, I will change my review. I got an email on May 19 telling me the developer had responded, and I see they responded on the 11th. I appreciate their awareness of the flaw..Version: 5.2.2

Basic CalculatorI love the calculator app but I hate all the ads.Version: 7.21.2

Ruined by intrusive AdsI have had this app since I first got my iPad, so many years. I have noticed recently that the ads have become very intrusive, popping up to completely cover the results screen mid calculation, which is very frustrating. I understand the need for Ads, but this is literally making the app unworkable. The paid subscription is also ridiculously too much. So very reluctantly I have had to switch to another app, I say reluctantly as in many ways this app was perfect for me. After a long search on the App Store I found the app Numerical 2 and I will not be looking back. So good job developers, I hope your business plan works out for you..Version: 7.0.6

DECENT QUICK CALCS but NOT BILLIONS !That's it, it did what I expected and wanted - I don't ask clever stuff, maybe others can comment on the intricacies. UPDATE - reduced to three stars because I have to find another app if I want to do some brexit-related calcs with 4 billion quid in them...not only can it only handle 8 zeroes, not only does it simply refuse to take the final zero in, it actually goes ahead and does the calculation having ignored the last zero in the billions. I don’t want umpteen apps just to do what my solar powered calculator could do 30 years ago. There’s no workaround - does not do 10 to the power of etc. So, simply can’t do big numbers, and worse, it lops the last digits beyond 9 off the end without a by-your-leave. Bit hacked off if I am honest..Version: 6.0.15

Meh it’s decentIt is good for quick calculations, but with the currency converter you only get about 10 goes before you either have to get a different calculator app or get the premium subscription and it doesn’t reset at all I would be fine if it only 10 a day if it reset but since it doesn’t reset… um only by it for regular addition, division, multiplication and division. The apps great for that stuff. But remember only buy it for those unless your going to get the premium (which is a waste of money)um so meh it’s decent..Version: 6.4.5

Too many ads annoyingToo many ads annoying when I launched the app..Version: 7.5.0

Hate that there are adsIt is a basic calculator, that I only require for simple calculations. Why on earth are there ads. A calculator shouldn’t cost anything, a calculator shouldn’t advertise. You may as well just go back to using the old school in-hand calculator. It is ridiculous how many ads are popping up on a simple calculator. I just need it to get the calculations done, not tell me about things I can purchase, there’s enough advertising in the world already..Version: 7.1.0

Constant ad pop-ups and eventually forces you to payI’ve had this app for about 3 years but only used a few times a year because of the really annoying and constant ads. Eventually it forces you to pay. Glad they tried to do that today, because I finally deleted it. Yay, I have a different and better free app. Freedom from this one. PS - I struggle to believe these 5 star reviews. The free version is full of ads that block your screen, and the pro version subscription is way too expensive..Version: 7.2.3

I used to love this appUnfortunately, the adverts are now too intrusive, so it can be a hassle when I just want to concentrate on a sum. The only other option is to subscribe. Why anyone should have to subscribe for a calculator, I don’t know! I wouldn’t use the scientific calculator, so the only perk of subscribing, for me, would be to get rid of the adverts. But why should I subscribe just for that and pay a monthly fee, when plenty of free calculator apps are available with a small one off charge for removing adverts? If this calculator app did the same thing and offered an ad free version for a small one off fee then I would consider paying that. But a subscription? No..Version: 7.1.0

The CalculatorThe Calculator is a useful tool to help me with my education, calculations and work. It is an easy way to get things done and be decisive. It is basic, helpful and snappy. It is just extremely annoying as you only have a certain number of calculations on the fraction and currency calculator if you’re trying it out for free. Users should feel like they are using their money wisely and not wasting it on things like virtual calculators..Version: 7.0.1

This app stinks!I just want my calculator back. No crappy adds. No garbage. I don't know how I got this dumb thing. Please. Make it go away. Most annoying app ever!! I DONT WANT A ONE TIME PURCHASE!!! I want the freakin free calculator that came with my iPad!!! Your app stinks!!! I will NEVER pay for the garbage you provide. I never wrote bad reviews. I just won’t repurchase from a company. This app is so infuriating not only did I write a review but I’m amending my review after your response. Your company does not deserve a dime of my money. This is the worst app. Made to generate money and scam people into paying for something that should be free. Awful. Awful. Awful. Awful. Awful!!!!! Again. I update my response. I’ve never had such a useless app. SOOO many ads that it renders the program non-functional. I don’t want this app but it has taken over my regular calculator. I don’t want to buy y your app. That’s what you don’t get in all your responses. Based on what I’ve seen it’s garbage. If the intent was to offer a free version is a calculator to entice me to buy your app you have failed. Reading the rest of the reviews I’m not the only one. One question, why would I BUY some merging that should come FREE with my device. It seems like you made a useless app and now have to figure out a way to make money and have to bombard me with ads on the free version so I am forced to buy. Not going to happen. Complaining to Apple as well..Version: 5.2.0

It’s NiceI like this calculator. I’ve had it for years, the only problem is recently it’s too many ads. I understand an ad before or after use. Also banners on the page, but being afraid that I’m going to type a number then before I push the decimal or after typing = it’s going to break out into an ad I don’t like that. Usually when you use a calculator you need a fast calculation and it’s a horrible time to be interrupted by ads. I think algorithms should maybe show ads in between problems when someone is doing multiple problems with solutions at a time, then you know their sitting using the app for a while but not after a few clicks of numbers. Ads before and after are fine but the interruptions have become too frequent and for the first time in years I’m considering other calculators..Version: 6.6.1

WARNING : DO NOT BUY! SCAMHow do you expect to purchase an application FULL PRICED, then the genius developer decides 6 months down the track to load up the application with ADVERTISING CONTENT. Seriously this is a crime, and the garbage answer of we need to enforce a subscription fee to fund the app. What a load of rubbish. You can not do this to loyal customers that have purchased your app full price. It’s like purchasing a house from a real estate agent, and the agent without warning loads up the front windows with advertising content. This is called greed for more avenues of income stream. We are not stupid, your only loading up advertising content to increase your revenue of income. I also emailed the developer with no response, it just shows the loyalty you have for your client base. Peoples you are better off using the in-house calculator on iPhone. I really hope you go out of business. For this reason I am out! And I want my money back!.Version: 5.1.2

MehGood using but I didn’t use in a month when I came back you needed to pay for the fractions before you didn’t and way to expensive for a calculator.Version: 7.0.6

I used to love this app but the ads have become OTTI never minded that I would see adverts because after all this is a free app. But it’s ad, ad, ad, ad, ad. Literally every time I try to do a sum, an ad will appear. You open it, an ad will open first. You write down what you’ve done, by the time you turn around back to it, another ad will appear. It’s now becoming virtually impossible to use just because of all the ads that keep popping up. I’m going to delete this now because I’ve had enough. It is much better to use a standard physical calculator!.Version: 7.5.0

$10 per month??? UnrealOthers seem to like this calculator but I can’t see anything to like. Trial version overwhelmed with ads and nuisance prompts to sign up for $9.99 per month subscription. For the life of me there is no world where access to a virtual calculator could be worth anything like that. I am HAPPY to pay developers a reasonable fee for quality apps… this ask is beyond the pale..Version: 7.8.0

Calculator works but rubbish product.I always thought a calculator was for solving mathematical problems and not for selling subscriptions. A subscription service for a calculator? Are you serious? The ads are in such close proximity to the buttons that it’s easy to hit the ad by mistake. I also noticed a counter for the scientific calculator so that eventually it will stop working and worst of all, that to change currency on the right of the currency calculator triggers an ad! I take it from your responses to these complaints that you’re not smart enough to change your business model, even to a simple one-off payment. That’s arguably the best incentive for me to use a different app..Version: 6.0.17

One StarI'm with everyone else who gave a one star review. The app was fine, it's a calculator and that seems simple enough. I wasn't sure you could go to far wrong with a calculator app. The ad banner was a bit ugly but bearable. Now these ads are popping up with video ads I have to wait to skip. I only use this app when I can't be bothered to get my phone out my pocket and the iPad is to hand because (despite the slightly obvious random 5 star rave reviews) the apple calculator is better. I'd pay a couple of dollars for a calculator app I think that fair. But I'm not paying a subscription. Think these developers have over-estimated how much value a calculator app can bring to some ones life..Version: 5.2.0

Annoying adsI don’t need much from a calculator. Ads are just disturbing and wasting my time. I am going to get a different one….Version: 7.6.0

Please just make a one time in-app purchase fee!I absolutely love this app, since use it for school and it is just very simple to use while also being able to use more complex equations! My only problem is the fact that I have to pay a monthly fee just to use other calculator features that are on normal calculators is just ridiculous! I understand that you guys want to make money, but do you really, like really need to make people pay a monthly fee just to be able to calculate fractions! I would be absolutely fine if it was a one time fee, but why a monthly fee!? This is one of the top most downloaded calculator apps on the App Store if not the best one, not to mention the little adds at the bottom (not distracting at all) that you make money off of adds which shows you already make quite a bit of money off of more than half a million user, yet you have to go even farther to make me pay for a monthly fee for features in every ordinary high school level calculator! I would rather have to pay 5-7 dollars once for all of the other features instead of being fed off of for multiple years to come of using this app. I would rate this app 5 stars right off the bat if it got rid of the monthly charge and maybe even replaced it with a one time fee. Please address this concern, and thank you so much for your time..Version: 6.0.12

Was Great, NOW ANNOYING BADBeen using for over 3 years and in the past few months the ad pop ups are just painful. Didn’t mind the ad banners but the constant pop ups and having to wait for them to time out is annoyingly bad. Just recently the ad pop up was threatening me with a auto delete of the iPad because my space was full……malware advertising anyone? Right…time to delete this garbage. Calculator was great though while it lasted and before the developer has decided to sell their souls..Version: 7.12.2

The calculator itself is fine but is plagued by adsI've been using this app for years, no problem, the banner ad was always fine as it was out of the way. This was until the **video** ad was introduced. A VIDEO ad in a calculator app??!! The whole point of having this app is to quickly solve a little arithmetic with no pause, except you now have to wait for a video ad to load and wait for it to finish. Another thing that bugs me is that I can't listen to music while using this app, instead, the "Calculator App" takes over my sound?? And when I play that, it displays the sound as a link to a website? All I need is this app to not interrupt my music and not shove a video ad in my face every few minutes..Version: 5.2.2

Terrible use of monitizationThe app seems fine, although I got to use it very little before I was asked to pay a monthly fee. A monthly fee for a relatively simple (though seemingly well made) calculator. There is no reason that there would be ongoing costs for the author, since it doesn’t require them to run server or anything so, requiring a monthly fee to use a calculator is absurd. That, combined with the fact that when I’m free mode (just use the calculator that comes with the iPhone if that’s all you want) it’s popping up full page ads between calculations. It’s a horrible user experience..Version: 6.6.0

Ads are taking this app downI agree with all the recent reviews. I’ve used this app for years and on multiple devices. Now there are video ads that play when you open the app and when all you want to do is make a quick calculation the time spent versus the time waiting for the ad is ridiculous. I have deleted the app. I will look for another that is not so focused on getting money. The issue is the video ads plain and simple. I thought the ads over the key buttons or that popped up were bad enough. The videos are not great because I often need a calculator while doing things that cannot be interrupted in that way. There were functions of this calculator that I needed in the past that I don’t now. It was just nice to be able to see past calculations if I was doing a larger problem..Version: 7.2.5

What I Like About The Calculators!I think the calculator is very useful. It comes in handy a lot when I need it. I don’t have to go onto the internet to use one when I have my own personal app. The calculator has helped me many times during hard and tough mathematics questions. When using the calculator everything that is one here is very clear and I can understand how to use it without any difficulty. My favourite thing about the calculator is that you can change fonts which I think is very amusing. This is what I like about the calculator.Version: 5.2.2

Forced AdvertisementI hate all of the advertising. Not interested in any of the products and it slows down the calculator function..Version: 7.19.0

Ad gets in the wayWould have been higher rating but an ad - ironically for a paid for ad blocker now slides over and blocks part of the keyboard and readout. I accept that ads will be needed on a free app but doing it in this way making the app difficult to use isn’t the right way to do it. What is disappointing is that this seems to have been raised many times by other reviewers but the developers haven’t listened to the feedback and the issue is still happening. The whole point of these reviews is for developers to learn from their users and react, not ignore..Version: 7.0.9

Annoying Pop Up AdsI used to really like the app but now these annoying full screen ads pop up in the middle of my calculations and they stay up for a while before you can find the “x” to close out of them. I’ve clicked on some of them by accident trying to get back to the calculator and it’s frustrating. I understand the app has to make a profit- it just interrupts my user experience, train of thought and what I’m calculating. It’s a huge turnoff so I’m looking for another app that doesn’t have these annoying pop ups. I know they have paid options to remove the ads altogether but they don’t offer a one time purchase fee. They are subscription based and I don’t use the calculator enough to justify a monthly subscription for a calculator app..Version: 7.13.0

Candy crush add is immoral!!I love this calculator and have been using the free version of it on my iPad and iPhone for years. I don't have a problem with putting up with adverts to use an app for free. But when it comes to the candy crush advert that had recently popped up I think you are talking liberties. The add is offset in such a way that you can't close the app without 'swipe closing' the app. And if you do try to click on any of the partly hidden add you get a pop up message saying that you have now subscribed to the service and will be charged!!! I find this very immoral and borderline illegal!!!.Version: 5.0.3

Ads are so prevalent, it's impossible to useThis is an example of a very aggressive model for ads that ruins the user experience. Yes, I could purchase the ad-free version, but within 5 minutes I was so annoyed that I removed the application. I can appreciate that the developers need to make money and I would gladly pay if they weren't so outrageously aggressive in forcibly placing ads that block calculations on screen..Version: 5.0.1

Nothing more than a calculatorThis is just a calculator. Nothing more, nothing less. Why would anybody pay for this? This used to be a free app. Then the advertising came, two or three calculations > Ad > two or three calculations > Ad. Now? Paying for this? Meanwhile it will track you and your data usage. Give your head a shake if you pay for this. No thanks. After many years with this app… I’m deleting it..Version: 6.5.4

Must wait for ad to time out before you can use.I have used this app for years. Now I have to wait for an ad to time out before I can use the calculator. Very irritating. Will be deleting app now. Since writing this review the developer has responded. I thank you. It is nice to know our reviews are not going by ignored by your company. With that said, I do feel the point of my review was missed. The response, in short, was that the ads are necessary to pay for the development of a better product. I understand that and do not have an issue with free apps having ads. This very app has had ads during the years I have used it. What I do have an issue with is not being able to do a simple quick calculation without having to wait on the ad. It was not like that before, so I have deleted the app because the newer way of adding the ads to the app have made the app unusable..Version: 6.0.17

Advertising covers half the screen and Pro costs is just nutsReally? To get rid of the advertising you want me to go on a subscription plan? For a calculator? Here, enjoy your 1star review you greedy pigs. Edit: Thanks for the reply, but you’re still a bunch of greedy pigs. I would happily pay for the app, but a monthly subscription? For a calculator app? I wouldn’t mind the ads if they were less intrusive. Just read your reviews, it’s the same complaint over and over about the ads. Due to your reply, I’m not uninstalling. Plenty of other calculator apps where advertising isn’t obtrusive and the developers aren’t greedy pigs. No more ad revenue from me!!.Version: 5.0.7

Calculator adsI want to turn on the calculator to use it. Getting tired of having to wait for an ad to finish before I can delete it..Version: 7.21.2

Change in privacy terms are a jokeHad used this for several years till I went to use it today and was asked to accept the new privacy terms. Unlike most other apps there were no options to select you had to agree to all, giving the developer full access to your data, the terms were that extensive for the use of a calculator I got bored and deleted the app immediately not wanting to waste anymore of my time. Why anyone would sign up to this is beyond me, a developer shouldn’t need access to that level of personal data for the use of a calculator..Version: 6.6.0

Used to be greatThis App used to be fantastic and is now ruined by the incessant pop up adverts. I don’t normally mind adverts only fair the developer gets some money but the amount of adverts is ridiculous. Sorry I ended up deleting the app and paying for a physical calculator instead. No pop ups. A pop up advert by the way should go away for a few minutes at the very least when you click it, it doesn’t it just pops up again. The x to close the pop ups are often tiny so you end up clicking the advert which brings you out of the calculator app. When you go back in low and behold a new pop up for you. Pointless.Version: 7.2.3

Made unusable by ads and way too expensive to buyI’ve used this calculator for a few years, but I deleted it today because the ad now appear *over* the buttons of the calculator, which makes the calculator impossible to use. I would have paid £5.54 to remove the ads, but £5.54 every week? £22 per month? £464 per year each and every year, for a calculator? Good luck to the developer if they can find people to spend that kind of money on an app, but I’d rather by a real, physical calculator for a one-off £7 or go to a site, like Google, that offers calculations for nothing. Maybe I’m old fashioned, but an endless subscription to an app that one uses every now and again is over the top. Thanks to the developer for replying, but it’s still a hugely expensive app compared to others (and a real life scientific calendar), and the ads are still intrusive and prevent use of the free version. Good luck with your business model but I’ve switched to a calculator that offers full scientific functions for a reasonable one-off payment that was less than the cost of buying a physical calendar..Version: 7.2.5

Less than zeroAll these 5 star, best app ever reviews are certainly not by any users, and certainly they are puff pieces by whoever made this video viewer app. The constant supply of interruptions with ads makes it totally useless. It’s an app that says it has a free version but in reality you are getting a perfect piece of nag ware forcing you to buy into an upgrade. But, there are way better totally free multi use Calcs available that offer legit in app upgrades without being a rip off. I’m laughing about the 5 star worlds greatest app reviews. How tacky can you get..Version: 7.3.4

A calculator alright, but not a good oneI wanted a calculator to do maths stuff but their was a new update that makes it more annoying. First of all there are really annoying ads that waste time. Then there is the part about how you can’t even use fractions! Also, simple and Scientific aren’t even on the same page. And if you get fractions, I’m guessing that you won’t be able to use the scientific calculate with it. And I know that all these things I’ve mentioned are with the extra you can buy, but why bother? There is a free one on the internet..Version: 6.0.5

Too priceyUsing on an iPad. Is it me or have they started adding more ads? The app is ok. I don’t mind supporting developers if I use their app. I checked put the price and it is about $11 per year. I have a 35 year old HP Scientific calculator the works just fine. I would say that the app is worth about $5 one time. Enough said..Version: 6.5.5

Unreliable calculatorDo not make important calculations with this calculator unless you make them several times to verify. Just about every time I use it I have to do it twice. I’ll press a number or function and it will highlight grey acknowledging my press but will not register it. Example: I want to multiply 20.5 x 20.5. I’ll press 2 0 . 5 it will show the 20 the . will go grey because I pressed it but it will not input the . so when I hit 5, it just displays 205 meanwhile the . is still highlighted. So if you continue on without looking, your answers will be wrong. This has ALWAYS happened with this app on EVERY iPhone I have had no matter what version of iOS or the calculator I’m using. It’s not operator error. I’m going to take screenshots from now on if the developer wants to contact me. Seems they’re more interested in making money than having a product that works. I don’t understand why there isn’t a reliable calculator as part of the basic iPhone package. You would think spending $1,000+ plus on a handheld computer (iPhone) which is basically a super fancy calculator, I would be able to reliably add 2 numbers together for free. I can look at the top of my head from space in this phone for free, but I have to pay to have a calculator?…...Version: 7.0.2

Ads 😡I hate the ads.Version: 7.21.2

Omg so useful but no thanksOk I used this app all the time but they added a in app purchase and I’m so mad if you are unaware of what an in app purchase is it’s when you have to pay for stuff in the game and it’s so annoying I don’t wanna pay for stuff in the middle of a test like I’m just trying to use my calculator and it won’t let me do that because it keeps asking me to pay money for random stuff it’s let’s you use the calculator for free but that’s not what I’m talking about I’m talking about other stuff like add-on’s and crap but I’m in fifth grade and I’m lazy so for a test a calculator is my best friend I don’t understand school who don’t let people have there phones out but whatever I think the old school plastic calculator are better than these dumb supposedly awesome calculators I don’t get it I read the reviews and thought these people are probably lying but there not don’t get this app get a different calculator app.Version: 6.3.24

Ads always interrupting - you’ve got to be kidding meI’m not going to spend money on a monthly subscription for a calculator. Everyone needs to know you can put in an equation in a search engine and it will give you the answer just as easily. I’m retraining myself to do so because every time I even open this app I have to watch an ad. Sometimes it’s 30 seconds, but I only need the calculator for 10 seconds! It’s so frustrating! Have ads run across the bottom. Stop interrupting me to watch an advertisement. I might do one calculation, but leave your app open and then I go to do another and I have another 30 second ad I have to watch. Sometimes I’m typing and an add pops up! I don’t need your app that badly. I shouldn’t have to pay a monthly fee to not be annoyed and use the calculator with basic functions. That’s insane. It’s disgusting how so many companies want us slaves to monthly fees. I suggest everyone go look at what you’re paying for monthly. Put a reminder in your calendar to check every few months and decide if you need to be spending that. If you aren’t paying off your credit card every month then you shouldn’t have any monthly fees except maybe your cellphone rent and things you need to live..Version: 7.10.0

Advertisements galoreOne of the best functions of this app in my personal opinion, is the ability to calculate the number of adverts that get obstructively thrown onto the screen every minute. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of the app with regards to how many digits can be displayed, the app is not able to give you an accurate estimate beyond its maximum value. Sarcasm aside, the adverts are a genuine problem. There is nothing worse than trying to make use of your iPad’s larger screen for calculations and accidentally clicking on garbage ads that slide on top of the calculator. Are the bottom bar adverts not enough already? Avoid this until they fix it (or before it gets worse)..Version: 7.2.2

My problem with itSo why do you have to pay like it’s a great app and I know you needs some profit for this app so you make some thing cost money. I need the money half super badly but nope I need to pay so yeah and so with that costing money I lost $100 I know it’s not the apps creators fault but I will appreciate if you maybe change that but if not oh well. If you read this thank you I hope you consider it..Version: 7.0.4

Imagine if your pencil played ads while you wroteBecause that is how annoying this app is. This app is everything that’s wrong with our digital world. Who would have thought that you could hijack the simple abacus, that pure and noble device, and turn it to the eye of Sauron. I just need to calculate a currency conversion on my eBay purchase, friends, I’m not looking for 5 insane tricks to make my love handles disappear. I don’t know which young, starry-eyed computer science grads were co-opted in making this, but to them I say friends, sometimes your dignity is worth more than the $12 an hour they’re paying you 996. In summary, if you’re looking for a reason to quit the world of the living and join a prepper vault deep in the wilderness, this app is for you. Otherwise, do what I’m about to do and re-learn multiplication by pencil and paper..Version: 6.0.17

Great calculator, but advertising is too aggressive. This has been one of the most useful calculator apps for me in recent years. Its compatibility with the iPad (including split screen), appealing user interface, and advanced calculation options made it a must-have for me. And I did use up my currency and fraction calculations (which I’m fine with, not too big of a deal). And I loved it—until I got fed up with the pop-up ads. I can deal with sidebar ads, they’re not too obstructive. But a pop-up ad upon opening the app prevented me from using the calculator, and brought down its usefulness quite a lot. Most of the time, I only spend about 30 seconds at a time with the calculator, making a quick calculation, and I’d open it multiple times. That means I’d get pop-up ads every time I use the calculator. Oftentimes I’d have to wait 15 seconds to be able to close the ad, and even then there would be another page that I’d have to wait another 15 seconds to leave. And sometimes the ad would be suggestive or inappropriate—overlookable for some, but in my case as a school student, a big deal. Such an ad could get me into trouble, and this led me to not use the calculator at all while in school. It became easier—and safer—to use other calculators or just pull out a physical one. Everything about the calculator itself is great. It’s the ads that make this app a three-star for me. And I’d rather not feel like my calculator is a mobile game..Version: 7.13.0

Ads in the middle of a calculation!I’ve had iPhones and iPads for years and as the iPhone calculator app has no adverts I find the iPad one with adverts popping up constantly during calculations seriously annoying. I can’t understand why an iPad can’t be supplied with a calculator that’s fit for function like on the iPhone and doesn’t keep disturbing your work with adverts that you can’t just cancel with a X but you have to watch to the end to get rid of in most instances. I can understand ads in games but a calculator is a work tool so having to endure ads when you’re working is just absurd!.Version: 7.12.1

ScamWhat’s the point of charging a subscription for a Calculator?.Version: 7.21.2

Should be preloaded on ipadsThe calculator calculates. I would not say I enjoy using this calculator any more or any less than calculators I have used in the past. I should also let the reader know I am not using this calculator for anything more than just the basics. It does what it is supposed too do. I would have given it a 5 star rating, except I had to download it from the app store and it keeps prompting me to purchase it. THIS SHOULD COME PRELOADED ON AN iPAD! It comes on the phone, it comes on the laptop, and it comes on the desktop. Why doesn’t it come on the Tablet? Some brilliant engineer decided we don’t need to preload it on the iPad because ... it takes up to much memory, all the other devices already have it, what could possibly be the reasoning behind this decision? Sorry for ranting..Version: 7.0.2

Ads!To many ads now. Delete.Version: 7.21.2

Ads everywhere! How hard is it to just create a calculator app. Instead there are pop up advertisements everywhere. So many that you can’t even use this app. Deleting this app now..Version: 7.0.1

What has happened to this app?Been using this app for about a year now, loved using it UNTIL I realised ads are beginning to pop up and you need to purchase a subscription to not get hassled whilst trying to work out sums. This is absolutely ridiculous; on top of this the X button which appears to suggest removing the adverts brings up a purchase page for the subscription! You can say what you want but this is clearly trying to get more people to buy your package (whether they accidentally click on the purchase button or not doesn’t matter, it was put there purposely for misleading purposes). I have been looking through the other reviews and they are saying the exact same things, with you replying with the exact same messages.. how can all of these other apps run perfectly fine with no ads but you can’t? I am probably going to delete this app after one year of usage, really disappointed with you developers..Version: 6.0.16

Good but.....It’s a god app but when I went to get a certain background it said I needed to pay for it and I had it on before so could u please change that..Version: 6.0.5

Great app, intrusive adsThe calculator app itself is great. I have an unfortunate issue where I've attempting to subscribe as to remove the full screen ads that are continually popping up in my work flow. There is no way to subscribe. Pressing the subscribe button does absolutely nothing. Have to rate this 2 stars for a couple of reasons. One is that the full screen ads that pop up on every few key strokes are absolutely absurd. Two is that I have contacted the developer for support with the subscription issue and haven't gotten one word back. Apparently they are too busy to support their app and could really care less to help potential subscribers, I assume they're making more than enough off the ads within the app. Too bad as this could had been an otherwise 5 star app. The lack of any support from the developer leaves me deleting this app as its worthless with the amount of ads it produces. Either fix this or feel free to dignify your customer base with a response..Version: 6.2.12

My reviewI just wish that we had 500 calculations before we have to submit to premium. And please get rid of the ads. One last thing, in scientific mode, could you please add some base choices (base 4, base 10, base 16)?.Version: 6.3.1

Waste my timeToo long to load and to much key stroke delay..Version: 6.2.4

Advertisements Unsafe?I understand why someone puts ads up, as a form of getting payment to keep the application running… but there’s such an unnecessary amount of ads, and some of which shouldn’t even be a thing. I encountered a ad as soon as I opened, to sign up for free trial. Okay, that’s fine, it’s monetization, which is normal. When I do my equation for a square root, another ad pops up. Ok that’s also fine, when I get off the app and go back onto it, another ad shows up, and this time it’s telling me my memory and storage is too much, and it can be considered unsafe. You have the option to click continue or neglect. I chose neglect so I could leave the screen, since it didn’t let me “X” out of it. When a popup appear, I immediately swipe the tab out, and will be deleting this application after this, asap..Version: 7.10.0

Seriously?Ok my iPhone have a free apple calc... but I have to pay for one on my iPad? Or be harassed once this monstrosity loads with non stop analytical ads with geolocates... you guys put a whole lotta thought into making things way more difficult than they have to be. I'm inconvenienced to say the least I hope iPhone x craps out, and apple shares plummet lol. I like my iPad, not impressed with apple right now tho..Version: 5.0.1

Annoying addsAnnoying adds all the time ... I am deleting it....Version: 5.0.1

Too much adsToo much ads.Version: 7.6.0

Why?When I got this app it was great and then I was curious to see what happened when you have 0 calculations left, so I used all my calculations and then it said you have to pay for more calculations which is just stupid because you could just look up the answer on the web for free. I know they are just trying to make money but that kind of defeats the point of a calculator. And I just think that is a waste of money that could have been donated to poor, homeless people that live on the streets starving to death. In conclusion, you are not going to make me buy the subscription..Version: 6.2.16

Too many adsDon’t waste your time with this app - it just spams you with ads all the time. I had to dismiss 3 ads before I could even use the app, and even then there was a large obnoxious ad at the bottom of the screen distracting me with flashy animations. Useless..Version: 7.3.1
